I’ll admit that a few years ago I was a snob against Joe Fresh beauty products, believing that these products couldn’t perform well because they are clothing brand for Loblaw’s. At that point, I had also tried a high-end makeup brand and couldn’t get past to try this brand until just recently and I’m hooked. I’m open to discovering more from this brand Joe Fresh.
Let’s talk: I love, love everything I’ve tried so far from this line. So, today, I’ll be sharing with you another recent purchase I picked from Joe Fresh makeup line.
The feature product is the Sheer Tint by Joe Fresh in Toast. I usually go for Medium Beige or Honey but since it’s summer I decided on getting a darker shade to help with my tan but when I tried it at home, the shade was too dark for me 😦 It’s so hard to find the perfect color match. Aarrgg!!!
Net wt: 1 fl oz for $12.00. There are eight shades in total.
The formula is lightweight and has a nice finish except the wrong color shade I picked. It’s not the formula’s fault. I basically believe that I’m warm-toned and yet I don’t want to look yellow nor look pink. But since I got a shade that is too dark, I figured it can mixed well with primer and foundation or with lighter color of BB cream to lighten the shade.
Another point to put out is that my Joe Fresh friend is oil-free and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything.
I love how it blends so well but on me it does oxidize a little. I notice that it has very “sheer” coverage as its name and layering make the skin looks even more tan.
Here’s what it looks like straight out of the tube.
Not sure how well you can tell this from a photo, but it’s got a lot of pigment for a non-foundation. I like that! Yipee!!!
Here’s how nicely it sinks into your skin with a bit of half-way blending. Not too bad, eh! (except the wrong color match on me).
Once it sets, here is the finishing comparison. It works amazingly well for covering redness and lightly concealing spots, without looking like you’re wearing makeup. With the hot summer heat, I choose to wear minimal makeup anytime.
The only bad part is … I feel compelled to warn you that the packaging blows. I appreciate the idea of the airless pump—it really is better than having to dip your fingers into a bottle—but you just can’t get any product out of it. Even brand new ones. I practically have to squeeze the tube and press the pump at the same time for the formula to come out.
It’s $12.00 at the grocery store. Does life get any better than that? I LOVE shopping at the grocery store. It’s so relaxing, LOL!
Got any other skin makeup and/or Joe Fresh recos? Please share on the comment section. Tell me, I love to read your comments.
Thank you as usual for taking the time to read.

Oh too bad the colour doesn’t match you and the packaging isn’t great. I thought it would be great just by looking at it, but it seems like a pain to have to squeeze the tube and pump at the same time. I have no makeup recommendations from Joe Fresh since I get ALL my JF makeup info from YOU! lol! Well, maybe you should try their exfoliating cotton rounds, I did a review on this:

I really like it and use it regularly!

Thanks for your comment, hun! I really hope Joe Fresh will improve on their packaging for this product. I recommend their eyeshadows and lip products for its good quality. Yes, I’ll check on their exfoliating cotton rounds the next time I shop! 🙂

Sorry to hear about the packaging and the wrong color match. For me I always just pick the lightest shade and that usually works lol. Just like Stash says, I get all of my Joe Fresh info from you. 🙂 xo

Yup, it was a bummer when color doesn’t match 😦 I love the quality of Joe Fresh makeup products I’ve tried but the packaging for this Sheer tint was a disappointment for me. I’ll continue to discover more of this brand and share what I find with all my lovely friends ❤ xoxo

Haha, I love perusing the makeup aisle at the grocery store too hehe.
I have always overlooked Joe, even though I actually have a few makeup items from them which I picked up on clearance. And they are quite good! What a good post, I have read a few of yours on Joe Fresh, and I will definitely be checking them out. I love sheer foundation. I just need a little bit of cover for my redness and light hyper pigmentation.
It’s odd though that we haven’t seen them at SDM yet!

Joe Fresh makeup will only be in SDM next year. In the meantime, Loblaws, Maxi and Joe Fresh stores are a few places you can find their products. In US, they have them in New York and JC Penny stores. JF usually have some good special promo. Do check them out the next time you do your grocery 🙂 xo

Aw its a shame the colour isn’t the right match. I find it so hard to shop for colours to make sure they’re right for me. The lights are always so bright in department stores and supermarkets and I find that ordering online isn’t always accurate either! xxx

Yup! I agree with you that it’s such a challenge to find the right color match for face. The shade I picked makes me looked like I just did a self-tanning hahaha! But the formula is impressive for a sheer tint. 🙂 xoxo
