Hi everyone! And today, I bringing you a beauty haul all the way from UK! And yes, they’re all drugstore makeup products, mind you. Make Up Revolution is a budget friendly and cruelty free brand based in the UK.
I don’t typically shop like this but once every month is where I’ve gone bananas.
Some of these products here are like blowing my mind! It’s like poof..poof.. ! I couldn’t think straight. I’m super excited right now!
Yes, I’m feeling it right now! Oh gosh!
After taking a few deep breath and did my happy dance, let’s focus on the things I got shall we?
First thing first – I got three shades of the Makeup Revolution Ultra Face Base Foundation in FB 09, FB10 and FB12 or commonly known as BB cream.
It says on the packaging that it’s “blendable, buildable and creates a flawless complexion that’s suitable for all skin types.” I always love a good formulated BB cream.
And the packaging, I really don’t have problem with a tube BB cream since you could actually squeeze out the remainder of the product better than in a bottle, in my opinion. So, yes, I’m quite excited to try them for you guys.
Here is the sad products which I’ve tried and reviewed in my previous post which I’ll link it here for you. These are the foundations which I’m disappointed about. The formula was too runny and the color was … uhhh… I’m just to sad to talk about it.
Let’s go to something more cheerful like …
Lip Amplification Lip Gloss. I got the shades High Voltage (fuchsia pink) and Full Throttle (fire engine red), each net wt for 0.23 fl oz.
I love love love lip cream but this lip gloss reminds me a lot of my favorite lip cream by Gerard Cosmetics. It really feels like a lip cream than a lip gloss, and let me tell you that the staying power is ridiculously long.
Okay, I cheated and try the full throttle and was amazed by the formula and the long-lasting effect. It survive all the way through after a very long day with snacks and drinks. It does leave a pretty lip stain at the end of the day, which I really like rather than a full bare lips.
Anyways, I’m going to continue to wear them and I’m very excited to try the fuchsia pink next. I curious to see what this shade will look. So, stay tuned and don’t go away. Detailed review coming up pretty soon.
Let’s talk Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher from the I Heart Makeup range from Make Up Revolution. The packaging from the box it came in, to the packaging of the product is pretty. I definitely would be applying it as a highlighter.
Impressive! Very impressive. I fell in love with this blush on first sight. Oh my gosh! I just died when I saw how insanely pigmented this blush is. These blushes look very similar to the Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush by Too Faced. If you’re looking for a dupe, then I would suggest the shade Peachy Keen Heart look very much like the images of the Sweethearts blushes from Too Faced that I have seen online, but I don’t own the Too Faced blushes to do an exact comparison for you.
This frosty formula could be wore alone as a blush and it looked really pretty but I think many people would enjoy this as a highlighter more.
This I Heart Makeup Triple Baked Blusher I got is in Peachy Pink Kisses. Just look at this awesomeness. I can’t wait to put them on. This one has a great potential to be a perfect highlighter for summer glow?
Since I’ve travel plan this week, I’m glad to get my hands on all these cutie brushes to bring along with me on my trip. Oh yes! I’m so excited to try them out. The bristles are so soft and they’re just the right size for my makeup bag.
L to R: Mini Eyeshadow Brush, Mini Angled Brush, Mini Foundation Brush and lastly the Mini Face Brush.
Note that these are made of dual fibre synthetic hair. I know there is a debate on whether to opt for natural animal hair or unnatural synthetic hair fibre but either way is a double-edged sword. You either support animal cruelty or the unnatural? Well, I don’t often do this, but I’m cheering for the synthetic.
I’ll have a separate post of the why. In case you want to know more, here is the link to PETA site. It’s a great resource for help to find other companies that offer synthetic makeup brushes. Take that double-edged sword!
The next item I got is the Shimmer Brick Eyeshadow in 5 shimmery metallic shadows. The color I got is in Rose Gold. Ridiculously pigmented shadows and all the colors are so so gorgeous. You got to get them to try it yourself. I know I’m jumping before the cart but that’s how excited I am with it.
I noticed that a little goes a long way for these shadows based on the formula and a quick swatch on my wrist. I’m really impressed with the color payoff. I think I’m going to love it.
On pan, I think it would be prefect for those who loves shimmery eyeshadows for instance. I love the color and the formula and can’t wait to try them out. I’ll be playing a little bit longer before I share my thoughts and opinion on this product.
How can I forget to order my favorite eyeshadows right? Well, I didn’t. In fact, I not only ordered one but three eyeshadow palettes. Insane? Guilty as charged. Some of you might already know if you’ve been following my blog that I can be so obsessed when it comes to eyeshadow palettes.
Can you see it? Can you see it?
So the next thing I got is the Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave that houses 30 eyeshadows in one palette. I wanted to try this palette for a long time and I’m glad to have my hand on them. It also comes with a double ended brush and a huge size mirror on the lid. I wear it once so I’m not going to judge this one yet. I’ll continue to try it and would report back later.
Moving on more …
Is the Makeup Revolution Affirmation Ultra Eyeshadows that consists of 32 amazing color spectrum? I can see here a nice selection of finishing for matte, shimmery and satin. It’s the same size palette with the Fortune Favours The Brave palette except a missing brush in this one. More detailed review will be posted once I’ve tried it out.
I’ll think I want to do a review on this after I’ve tried it for a while though. So ya! I’m so excited about this.
The third eyeshadow palette I have is I Love Makeup 16 Eyeshadows by Black Velvet.
The packaging is cute with a heart jewel on the velvet front are in line with the palette theme. Another thing to point out is that, I love it when brands go all the way out to name their shadows. Don’t you? Or is it just me?
This palette is predominantly a matte palette with 13 shades being matte formula and 3 selected shimmer. I get excited when I see so many matte shadows to play with.
I forgot to add this in the group picture. Opps! My bet! But here is a full size bottle of the Makeup Remover aka Facial Cleansing Water in 250ml net wt. It smells good and I don’t have anything bad to say about this product.
I’ve been trying for the past weeks and every single day. So far, I’m quite happy with it but I’d want to try it a little longer. In the meantime, I was hoping to find something similar here at the drugstores.
So, overall, I’m quite satisfied with all these makeup goodies from UK. I’m going to be busy trying out all of these goodies for the next few weeks or so.
Let me know some of your UK drugstore products you like to me try. Don’t forget to follow me on my blog. And if so, I hope to see you again on my next one.
Thanks to all for stopping by to read and comment. Until next time, keep been awesome.
♥Sharon xoxo
