An Honest & Emotional Health Update

Hi guys! I mentioned in the previous post about my health and today I’m just going to sit down and update you guys a little of what’s happening behind the blog. I’ve some health and body issues for quite sometime now and it’s just don’t seems to be getting any better. I kept telling myself that I’m going to blog about it but for some reason I keep on postponing it. But then after talking to my doctor yesterday, I thought I just fill you guys on what has been going on, in today’s post.

I’m postponing it because I’m shy and nervous. I hope at the end of this post, you guys would comment positive and encouraging things to say to help me and others who are in this situation out. I feel so alone sometimes but reading your comments and reading your posts makes me less alone, if that make sense!

I had a chronic injury for awhile but since last year I started having new symptom which was so weird. It may be caused by my pain that makes me feel depressed. So now, I’ve two issues that need to be helped. I’m not going to touch on that too much because different people have their ways to cope with it. It just that recently, it gets a little more annoying and more frequent! There are days, where I just don’t feel like doing anything. And then the  good days is when I can crawl out from my bed to sit down and write reviews, my beauty favorites and beauty hauls.

I feel that for the past few weeks, it just getting harder for me to feel motivated and I’m sort of falling behind with tons of products waiting to be reviewed. I don’t want to add more stress in my already depressed situation so I’m planning to just blog as the day goes.

It’s not over yet but a great lifestyle change for me. I haven’t been myself the past many months. I can say that this a very challenging and difficult time for me. I also want to mention that it wasn’t also like this all the time as I said earlier. My depression is really like a yo-yo.

I’ll still try to plan my blog and write when I’m more myself. And I really really appreciate you guys for been patient with me. I hope this post will explain a little bit of what is going to be, moving forward on this blog. I’m hoping to be able to do the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday blog posts and Thowback Thursday. On other time, I’ll try to also focus more on posting instagram and snapchat where you guys can subscribe or follow me there.

So, sorry that I won’t be able to post Saturday blog for now since I want to spend some real quality time with family as well. Hope you can understand where I am.

Thanks a million for be an awesome friend and for taking the time to read! Hope you’ve a lovely weekend [muak].

Sharon xoxo

    1. Yup! It’s just that I feel guilty when my condition doesn’t permit me to blog. But ya, I agree with you that I really need to take care of myself. Thanks for your words of comfort. I really need to hear this today! xo

  1. It’s quite normal to have physical pain cause mental pain as well (ie depression). It’s been well documented and both issues need to be dealt with equally. I hope you can find relief for both – don’t worry about the blog. It should be fun, not a pressure, to blog. Take care!

    1. Aww… thank you, bae! I’m taken care by specialists and yes, I’m really hoping to be out of this soon. I appreciate your understanding and kind words. Agree with you that blogging should be fun! I’ll share blog posts whenever I can. ❤ xo

  2. Sending prayers your way Sharon. Obviously your health and spending time with family is more important than the blog. You will get through this, depression affects everyone differently and I feel the first step is acknowledging that you have it and doing something about it. Thank you for sharing this.

  3. I understand how you feel. I deal with chronic pain along with anxiety and depression. Pain definitely makes depression worse (or causes it in the first place, for some people). It’s hard to feel motivated when you just plain don’t feel good. Make sure you give yourself a break and take as much pressure off yourself as possible.

  4. I live with a chronic medical condition so I can totally relate wot what you are going through. You have to be kind to yourself and listen to the signals that your body gives you.

    1. Thanks so much Marielle! I don’t talk so much of my personal life behind my blog. But I thought, my readers and friends should know a little of what’s happening. I’ll still be blogging but less days. This comment means a lot to me. xo

    2. Sending positive thoughts your way. Sorry you are dealing with this, but it’s so generous of you to share what you’re going through. Many need to hear that they aren’t alone, and revealing your struggles publicly does a great service.

  5. I think its wonderful that you blog about things that are personal. It is one of those things that will help someone today, and today being every day because Google will lead them here when they type in similar key words! Hugs to you, and yes! enjoy time away from blogging sometimes too. It leaves you refreshed when you come back. 🙂

  6. Sharon, I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been going through a difficult time. Blogging is supposed to be fun and/or a creative outlet and not another stressor in your life. Definitely post fewer days or take a break when you need to. Your health is the most important thing, and it can take a while to recover. I hope your progress towards recovery keeps right on going. Fortunately today, there is no reason not to get help, rely on others as well as health professionals, and medication when necessary. Best to you!

  7. Sharon, I’m sorry you are going through a hard time right now. I think it’s important to remember that most people go through this exact same feeling at SOME point in their life. That’s not to take away from how you feel but to show you you CAN and you WILL get past it! You will do this one step, one day and one choice at a time. It won’t be easy. You’ll have to do things you don’t want to do when you don’t want to do them and with people you don’t feel like seeing.. but with each step you will gain momentum. And though you may start with a crawl, in no time you will look over your shoulder and realize that you are not crawling but running! Keep your chin up 😀

    1. This is the best motivation I need to hear, Kaily! I realized that when I’m in my low – I need to get a push to help me up. Agreed that it’s not easy and it takes a lot of effort to do one task. I need to write down all the things I have to do in a day and check mark as I accomplished them. Thanks so much for being a good friend. Truly appreciate your advise. Love you 🙂
