Hey guys! If you’re a fan of Estee Button aka Estee Lalonde then you would’ve probably heard of her first book “BLOOM” which was released about two months ago. Since it’s released I was very keen to grab a hold of her book. You could tell that I’m her fan, right!
She has two youtube channels with one called Everyday Estee which is a vlog and her youtube beauty channel is Estee Lalonde. Her beauty channel is where everything started.
I’m not ashamed to admitted that I’ve only learned about her youtube channel until last summer and I’ve been watching her vlog channel ever since.
I got this book as a Christmas gift from my daughter. She heard me talking about it and was pleasantly surprised when I opened it. Even though it’s not a signed copy, I’ll still treasure it for a long time to come.
Alright enough of my ramblings and let’s get to business. The front cover of her book is clean and direct to point. I would say this book bloom is very her. Why I said that! I think it’s her style and the way she talks and approach life if you watch her vlogs.
At first, when I read a few pages I thought it was a little too brief to my usual novel readings. It’s seems to me like it’s a summary of her life to youtube all compressed in this 247 pages book. Frankly, I find it quite astonishing! (in a good way).
What you can find in bloom are short chapters and some longer stories where she talks about work and female empowerment to name a few. The focus of this post for me to share my experience after reading her book. Don’t worry, I’m going to spoil the contents for you.
Thanks to Estee, I just learned that I’m a homebody myself which is not a bad thing at all. I do love travelling from time to time but most of the time, I love to be at home wearing with most comfortable clothing on earth (pjs) and with makeup or no makeup day. With my health problem, I’m kinda restricted to be doing crazy things I used to do before. Gone are those rat race times and crazy working hours. I didn’t miss it anymore. I find myself in solitude and peace that I couldn’t explain. It’s like I woke up one day with my perspective in place and all I’ve to do is just take the time to smell coffee.
Each chapters bring readers to how she leads her life from childhood memories to adulthood. It’s an interesting book where you could read on your bedside or when you’re commuting on the bus or train. It’s a light and easy reads!
To add an extra punch, she added some pastel color pages in her book to keep the readers glued. This is brilliant in my opinion.
I thought this is relevant to our connection of being a Canadian. In her own words how she describe to be Canadian – “Canadians have an internal mantra of live and let live”. I could relate to this.
From this book you would also find how she combats her social anxiety and coping with depression. Reading this book makes me reflect and think a lot of my past experiences both good and bad. I want to take on her challenge to speak and express more about myself here on the blog and what are the things that makes me bloom!
I recommend this book if you’re looking to find some inspiration book directly from an experienced youtuber. As I was drawn into my blogging world, I realized something from this book that helps me. I finally find my way home again. I love writing and am passionate about life. This book taught me to know no boundaries and sky is the limit. My favorite phrase has to be “Following my heart!”
I hope that you too will find your true inner self or your calling to rise by lifting others.
You can order Bloom now if you want to read more about her self discovery journey. This is not a sponsor post or anything whatsoever, I’m sharing my love of this book and I really hope you’d love it as much as I did!
What do you think of this book? Have you read it already? What’s your take on this? Love to hear your comments in the section below.

I have not heard of this book. This is a well-written review, and I love how you applied things Estee shared in her book to you and your life. In my work with authors, I know reviews are important. If you have not already done so, I hope you share this review with the author and leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads for Estee.
P.S. I am also something of a homebody. I enjoy working from home and the flexibility it gives me. 🙂
