Revlon colorstay nail polish (No. 250) in Rich Raspberry
Revlon colorstay nail polish (No. 250) in Rich Raspberry

Honestly, I don’t remembered when I actually picked up this wonderful Rich Raspberry color nail enamel (in No. 250). I believed I got it from Target where it was on special. It’s a nice raspberry color shade which I like. They were like one of my favorite color of all time.

I really like this color, it makes my hand stands out more in the light and it’s so pretty. I can’t stop but admiring my hands every chance I got : P

I only put one coat but two will be fabulous. Very opaque. Nice formula consistency.  Revlon Colorstay nail enamel came with many selection of colors to choose.

up & up™ Apricot Blemish Scrub

up & up Apricot Blemish Scrub

Happy Thursday!

Today’s feature will be one of my favorite facial exfloliator or scrub for blemished skin. I don’t have acne problem but just some uneven skin. I picked this up at Target for $2.74    (6 oz) just randomly. I thought of getting facial wash but ended up with this facial scrub which I liked it very much. I loved the scents of the apricot and the nice and simple tube packaging.

Oh yes, the packaging stated that it was for blemish and oily skin.  On the quick detail of this product. It claimed to leave a lustrous glow with up & up apricot blemish scrub. True to its claimed. It cleanses pores and helps remove dead cells, dirt and blackheads that clog those pores. This blemish scrub is intended for use on oily skin. Contains no aluminum chlorohydrate.

I have tried it for a over a month now and everytime I used it to scrub my face this scrub has definitely done a good job for me! My face feels so smooth and soft. Since this product is catered more for oily skin, I will immediately apply moisturizer on it after.

My face felt freshed and cleaned everything I use it. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! Wonderful product and great value.

Amazing product for the value. Available at Target store or online. I have put the link below.

Cheers! Thanks for reading.

Would You Rather – Beauty Tag

would you rather tag

Hi guys ,today I have been tagged by nreviewsproducts to do this tag. I’m excited since this is my first time doing a blog tag. If you haven’t follow her please check on her blog and do a follow.

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I would rather lose all of my palettes and eyeshadows than losing mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses. I might have lost two but still have four.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I would rather never be able to cut it again. My hair shape how I looked. So, having long hair will allow me to style my hair differently everytime it grew long. He!He!

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Coral cheek because that’s what my warm undertone desires.

4.) If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Hmmm… my answer will definately rather spend on makeup especially the high-end products since I have obsession with makeup.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Lipstick as eyeliner. I prefer to put what’s made for the lips to the lips and I think it would be rather cool to have orange color matte lipstick as eyeliner. The Cleopatra eyeliner.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora. I can go to the store or order online. It’s convenient.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One eye shadow color since I don’t wear eyeshadow as much.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I would rather wear summer clothes in winter of course. I can always layer up when it gets too cold.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails all year round. I prefer bright nails in order to look for natural.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
I would rather trade lipstick with eye product.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Messy bun. Must be working hard and neglect my hair. Oh dear!

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I love to paint my nails sometimes so I have to let lip gloss go. I have lipstick as my company.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
Yikes, to have no eyebrows at all. No, thank you. I need Sharpie my only choice to avoid having bare eyebrows.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Aaarrggg …. without nail polish. That’s pretty easy.

Oh wow, that’s a fun tag to do and I tag anyone reading this post to do it. You can link it back to me so that I can rad your answers too. Hope you have fun reading.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation
  Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation (CN$27.00 for 1 fl oz) is a review that I have been looking forward to write. I picked up this foundation a couple of months ago when I discovered it at Shoppers Drug Mart (a Canadian drugstore chain). Bear in mind to go to bigger drugstore if you are looking since smaller store doesn’t carry Bourjois or Stilla or higher end brands. Oh yes, Bourjois is a french makeup company with some distributions in Canada and also in Europe and Asia.

Foundation swatch No. 33 (Dark Beige)
Foundation swatch No. 33 (Dark Beige)

They have six color shades to choose from and I got mine in No. 55 (Dark beige). Perfect color shade for my skin tone. I have dry skin and warm color undertone. I loved the feel of this foundation. I have been trying it out for the past few weeks and was satisfied with the texture and the nice fruity scents. I love how it blends in nicely and it feels light and not sticky. It is like not wearing a foundation due to the color pay-off. This foundation has medium coverage and could be build up without looking cakey. It does cover dry patches on my skin but with a little concealer it works wonderful. Once the foundation set in, my skin feels smooth and soft.

It also claimed to give 16 hours of radiance boosting and revived complexion. My face does looked more radiant and fresh. After about 3-4 hours later when I checked on the mirror, I saw a little bit of shine on my T-zone. But that’s about it on the downside. Just pad some setting powder and good to roll.

The glass bottle packaging was average I would say. But with the pump it makes quite a lot of difference. Easy to use and limit wastage (accidently pour too much) and hygenic.

I am very happy that I finally found an amazing foundation that works for me. The price was a bit steep but overall it was a great product to have. Great value for money in my opinion, given a little of this product goes a long way.

Let me know what’s your favorite foundation? What are other foundations you have tried before that works or may not work for you. Make sure to leave your comment below : )) Thx.

Urban Decay Vice 3 Eyeshadow Palette Coming Soon

Many are curious and excited to know how much it cost, when is the release date by Urban Decay? I will be sure to update once I have the details.

Maybelline NY Color Tattoo cream gel shadow ~ Painted Purple (No.20)

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr

Purple eyeshadow? Anyone? Well, I always ended up choosing purple color eyeshadows everytime I shop. Purple seems to attract my attention more somehow. So, I got drawn to get this painted purple in No. 20. I must have this lovely vibrant cream gel shadow to my collections.  Color choice is a little bit limited. There were only 6 color shades to choose from.

What so special about this Color Tattoo is that it claimed to last for 24 hours. I wore it just by itself for 8 hours and it does live to its claim to be long lasting. It is not recommended to wear any eye makeup or cosmetic to sleep – in my opinion. So, the 24 hours long lasting claim is a bit of a stretch. I have to use more eye remover to clean them.

I like the creamy and smooth texture of this product. It blends so easily and without creasing and the best thing is that I can use my fingertips for even blending. The price is  very affordable for the value of this product. The packaging makes it looks trendy and pretty.

So, for those who feels the need to wear something for a long lasting period of time, then I would recommend it simply because it lasts.

Has anyone of you have a favorite color eyeshadow that caught your very eyes everytime you shop for makeup?

Maybelline|The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette|REVIEW

Hey lovelies! Few weeks ago, as I was browsing on the Maybelline makeup shelves at one of the drugstore. I fell upon this amazing eyeshadow palette The NUDES.

I find The NUDES from Maybelline quite similar but definitely not a dupe for the Urban Decay NAKED Palette in their neutral colors. Don’t get me wrong, I love Urban Decay eyeshadow palette but this drugstore version is totally hard not to grab one.

It costs me like $14.99 plus tax at my local drugstore and that was the last second palette on the counter since it was just launched not too long ago. The price is decent and there are no other drugstore brands that has these twelve wonderful eyeshadows in the same palette on the shelves yet.

maybelline nude review

The colors are pretty and there are six shimmering colors and six matte shadows. The texture of this product is quite pigmented and not chalky. I tried it and wear them for almost 8 hours and it’s amazing how long it lasted. I don’t have to touch-up. Yeah!

maybelline the nudes

Behind the packaging you can find some sort of isometric guide on how to apply the makeup correctly especially for beginners or fellow enthusiasts.

Overall, the packaging looks simple and I love the neutral look. Since it was launched recently, I will definitely going to get another one to stock up just in case.  I’m sure you can find it at any drugstores and do check out at Walmart or Target. The last time I heard, Walmart is selling it for $10.00 a palette but I got mine from my local drugstore (Shoppers’ Drug Mart) for $14.99 and the prices can be different depending on which stores you frequented.

I am pretty well impressed with Maybelline’s The NUDES eyeshadow so far. Keep more coming “Nudes!”

Did you picked up your Nude Eyeshadow Palette? Let me know by commenting on the section below.

Rimmel BB Cream|Review

Hey Gorgeous! I picked up this Rimmel BB Cream 9 in 1 Super Perfection in Medium. Net wt: 1 fl oz. I’m curious of the drugstore BB cream and I just have to try them try out  I believe there are only 2 color selection which is in light and  medium shades. It claims to provide SPF 25 with mattifying and brightening formula. It has a nice scent which is not overpowering.

Well, to get to the point of performance, the liquid creamy texture is a little thicker than other Western BB creams. It’s more like the Korean BB cream which has a thicker texture. It comes in a soft plastic tube packaging which I quite like. Easy to put in my makeup bag 🙂

I notice that this formula has a some pink undertones. The consistency is not liquidy or runny and this makes blending and buffing so easy. I use my hand to apply the BB cream. It does seems to cover some of my uneven skin toned and some redness around my nose area but I would say it’s a light to medium coverage only. But this BB cream is buildable without looking cakey. Since I prefer my BB cream to be as natural looking as possible I just apply once all over my face and let it sets in. I do notice that my face is a little brighter but I can still feel the texture on my skin. It’s not lightweight but it does its job nicely.

I have a dry skin complexion and after the cream sets in I see more shine on my T-zone area. For you who has oily-skin complexion using a setting powder after the BB cream would help reduced the shining effect.

On me, I’m satisfied with the appearance from this BB cream. The shade fits my skin tone nicely and I like it. I wore it the whole day and I only need to touch up once after lunch but that was it.

Overall, I think this is a good product for you who love some dewy finish. It’s unfortunate that this BB cream does not have matte finish as it claims but still the price is reasonable price for a drugstore brand. It also has a good amount of SPF 25 in this formula.

Have you tried any drugstore BB cream? I love to hear your comment down below.

Thank you so much for reading.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (The Rio Collection)

Alright …. summer is almost coming to and end and I wouldn’t want to end my summer not giving my first impression on these amazing Revlon Super Lustrous Rio Collection lipsticks. I got mine at Target and it’s priced for $7.99. I picked up two of my favorite shades in Carnival Spirit and Sultry Samba.

For this Rio Collection, available in 3 lovely shades of : –

  • Carnival Spirit -a sheer  coral orangy (shine) . It is moist and with light texture. I also picked up this Carnival Spirit to compare the sheer and matte formula. I wore it for more than 3 hours and the color still stays on my lips eventhough the moisture has dried up a little. I wore this as a lip gloss since the texture is very sheer.

  • Sultry Samba – a matte velvety bright pink. It is drier than the other two formulas. It is creamy and the matte stays on without color transferring. I wore them for my makeup review and to my suprised the bright pink doesn’t seems too pinkish on my lips. I have warm undertone and usually pink is the color that I will avoid. Well, Revlon has done it again. I like this Sultry Samba already.
  • Brazilian Tan – a creamy formula. It would be perfect if you are warm tone and who like nude color for everyday wear.

This is one of my favourite drugstore lipstick brand and Revlon hasn’t disappointed me yet. I would love to see more of Revlon’s matte lipsticks in the drugstores.

Have you tried any of these lippies? Please leave comment below.

Thanks for reading.
