Summer Must-Haves: Bath & Body Works

This summer heat is getting to me and what better way than to go in a well air-conditioned giant mall right? And that’s what I did! Saw that Bath & Body Works are having a semi-annual sale up to 75% and so I want to do a mini haul today. They’re all Bath & Body Works stuff.

I’ve a few items that I wanted to show you.

Wallflowers Fragrance Refills is on sale now for $3.00 a bottle on their website or in-store. I’ve been so obsessed with the Honeysuckle and Freesia scent currently so it was my first pick followed by Fresh Cut Lilacs that smells incredibly amazing as well. I love the scent in my bedroom, I just can’t get enough of this stuff.

I got this Glitter Fish Nightlight because I think it’s super cute. It’s the design, it’s all about the designing for me! This reminds me of the ocean and sea creatures which is quite fun. Also available in several shapes and designs.

Oh my gosh! A fun fish with soft glow and glitter fish feels so relaxing. Paired plug with my favorite fragrance refill, it just smell so summery and nice in my bedroom. I can stare at this cute fishy all night! Love it!

I also picked up this Black Mini Perfume Spray which I know I’m going to be wearing it alot for the rest of the summer. It comes in a spray format which is really cool. I can’t wait to wear this in the summertime. It smells really nice! If I can just describe what it smells like, it has a strong musky note to it. I think it’s very sophisticated but without over the top, you know what I’m saying. It’s also so convenient to just drop it in your purse. I absolutely love it! So go give this a smell if you’ve at Bath & Body Works near you!

I bought these for my car. This is a Car Scentportables in New Car which I’ve been looking for ages ever since I got my new car. I always love the scent of a new car so this stuff is right up my alley. It comes in a cute  individual pods or disc like so and I just love how portable and easy it is so use. I haven’t tried this yet in my car, it’s supposed to continuously last for up to 4-6 weeks! I’m really excited to try this one out and with many road trips coming our way this summer I know we’re going to enjoy our car ride more with this!

I actually bought a Coco Shea Cucumber Body Wash because of my hubs. He loves body wash very much and I’ve to admit I like it too. I just couldn’t resist a creamy and moisturizing body wash. This is the nicest feeling body wash and I think it’s very refreshing and cooling, or should I say cool as a cucumber after each shower.  I think this one is going to be my new summer favorite. On top of that, it’s on sale for $3.16 a tube which is such a great steal!

I’d love to know what you guys have been loving from Bath & Body Works! Leave me a comment down below and tell me what’s been floating your home-decorating boat over the past few weeks! Happy shopping!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read!

In the meantime here’s the ingredients mentioned at the Sephora’s website:

Orange Sanguine, a zesty and energizing burst of crushed ripe fruit, plays off sweet blood orange juice against bitter orange peel and sensual notes of geranium. This addictive cologne brings to mind relaxed mornings, sunrises, and soft sea breezes.

Vanille Insensée, an electrical current runs through the subtle sweetness of vanilla, jasmine, and fresh lime to bond with rich oak moss, woods, and spicy coriander. This alluring cologne brings to mind breathtaking and magical moments.

Best of the Best to Absolutely Ageless Skin by Aveeno

Hi guys! In today’s blog post I’m going to show you a tip and trick that I absolutely love. So if you read my post or follow my blog you know that I love skin care products especially my obsession to try out new products for you guys.

So today’s post is all about some new drugstore skin care products that’s fairly new to me. If you’re in the market to finding skin care products that helps no matter your age, it’s never too early or too late using anti-aging skin care products – then continue reading.

Luckily, I’ve tried loads of anti-aging skin care products and have separated the winner from the losers. Here’s the best of the best when it comes to turning back clock.

Aveeno anti aging products
#Press Samples

A huge thanks to the PR company that sent me this packaging recently. They sent me four skincare products by Aveeno and the first thing that I’ve with me here is the Absolutely Ageless Eye Cream,  Moisturizing Cleanser, Intensive Renewal Serum and last but not least is the Restorative Night Cream. Thank you so much!

I’m so excited to try these out.

aveeno cleanser

The first product I wanted to talk about is the Moisturizing Cleanser that they claims to removes 99% of skin-aging impurities.

As you can see, this product comes in a nice bottle with a pump applicator. I like that the packaging is travel friendly since it has a lock mechanism. The product is gel-like but a little too runny in my opinion. It smells wonderful and it leaves a soft feel on my skin after rinsing. The scent is totally mesmerizing!

I’ve added this to my daily skin care routine and have been very pleased with the results. This product doesn’t dry out the face and it’s very gentle for all skin types.

#aveeno renewal serum

This is definitely the biggest thrills of the lot. I’ve always been looking for a serum that actually works on my skin and I’m so glad it did. I applied as directed and it quickly absorbs into skin. I really appreciate that the formula feels lightweight and it’s 100% non-greasy. It has a nice scents that’s not overly powering.

“This serum is formulated with Aveeno’s Active Naturals Blackberry Complex which is full of antioxidants, vitamins and other anti-aging ingredients.” As many of you might’ve already know, I’ve combination to dry skin – this helps strengthen the natural moisture barrier is something which my dry skin department truly need help in.

I’ve been using this serum for the past two weeks and my skin is loving it so far. Whether you’re in your early twenties or late forties, I recommend giving this serum a try. This one does fit the bill.

aveeno eye cream

“This product gave result that other people noticed.” My fine lines reduced considerably after a week of test run. It’s one of the best anti-aging products out there if you asked me

It comes in an opaque squeeze tube packaging. What I really like about this eye cream is that it’s fragrance-free and lightweight with a silky texture to it. Works so well under makeup and the brightening effect can visibly improve the appearance of dark circles.

aveeno night cream

It says AVEENO® Absolutely Ageless™ Restorative Night Cream is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Their Natural Active ingredients of Blackberry Complex helps nourish skin by reducing the visible effect of elastin and collagen loss.

night cream texture

I love products that smell nice and this definitely is one of them. With my combination to dry skin, I appreciate how the formula absorbed into my skin. I’m impressed by how well this night cream hydrates. It soaks right in while leaving my skin feeling really soft and smooth. This is a keeper!

I truly enjoy using all the products from Aveeno. It’s a drugstore brand that I trust when it comes to quality and affordability.

Which one is your pick from your drugstore? Comment what’s your favorite go to skin care products?

So, thanks for stopping and read. I also like to thank Aveeno for this great opportunity to collaboration.  And until next time, I’m wishing a Great Skin Health! Bye!!!

Dollar Store Random Haul

Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me in this blog. Today’s post is going to be about Dollar Store Random Haul. I was in there when I visited Ottawa a couple of days ago where I excitedly picked up a few random things. Oh yeah! I’m literately the ultimate tourist.

Dollartree Haul

I noticed they’ve souvenirs for Canada 150th Birthday (which is on July 1st) and so I grabbed a few as a memento. I want to say nothing is over $5 from Dollar Store and they’re usually price around $1, $1.25, $2 and $4.

Blending Sponge

When I saw this Blending Sponge by Jolie Couture, my instinct told me to get it. I don’t really know this brand but I don’t mind trying out new brands and products especially when it costs only $2.50.

I’m very curious to try out this sponge so I let you know what I think in the hit or miss series. So don’t forget to check back later.

Sticker and after sunscreen

I was tempted to go nuts on the sunscreens, but had to remind myself of the insane amount of sunscreens I’ve that I got to finish this year and opted to just picked one. L’Oreal Sublime Sun After Sun Rich Repairing Lotion drew me to it. Made the purchase and I asked my hubby if he’ll help me to use it and was glad that he’s on board with the idea. I burnt to crisp with summer heat and this after sun repairing lotion is what need this summer.

It smells amazing and feels so lightweight. I really like the cooling sensation which is not sticky at all when I rubbed it on my body. Seriously, I’m in love! You guys have to try this.

Next is the Adventure Sticker that I’ve been loving. It would look super cool to have them on my laptop. I’m a sucker for cute things so I can’t pass on this one. I’ll show you how it looks in my snapchat and don’t forget to add me!

Tattoo and keychains

I’m such a tourist in my own country. Grabbed some souvenirs to mark Canada 150th Birthday on July 1st. The Tattoos and Key chains are super cute. I wore the tattoos last weekend and even though it rained, the tattoo was still holding on. It was a big celebration for Canada from coast to coast. Check out my instagram or snapchat where I shared some interesting posts.

Sharp alarm clock

This is a random pick by my hubby. A Digital Alarm Clock that’s only $4 by Sharp that’s a super steal. I’m going to put this in good use once our old Casio call it a day.

Air Wicks Stick ups

Last but not least are two packs of Airwicks in Lavender and Chamomile scents. These are products I love to have them in my home all the time. I need to go back to get a few more packs. They smell amazing and it makes me happy.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read. If you did enjoy this post definitely follow my blog. I hope you come to check on my social media down below. Make sure you are following me on Twitter and Instagram (@heysharonoox) for the latest update. In the meantime come and say hi!

Happy Canada Day, friends!

Aveeno & Neutrogena PR BOX Unboxing – My First Youtube Video EVER

What’s up you guys! Welcome back to my blog! This week is a very exciting week for me. I was contacted by a PR company before Mother’s Day if I want to receive samples to honor mothers from Aveeno. I immediately said yes, (a) because I’m a fan girl of Aveeno, (b) since my mom is coming to visit me in two weeks, I wanted to share these goodies with her. With Aveeno and Neutrogena, everyday is Mother’s Day!

So, last week I got these sample products in the mail for an exchange of my honest review. Part of my job as a beauty blogger is to test out as much as possible so I can share my reviews with you guys.

Aveeno Skin Products

If you are a long time reader you know that I’m a fan girl of Aveeno. I’m also a huge advocate for taking care of your skin, it’s the largest part in our body and the one everyone sees! You only get one, take care of it!

I wanted to do something really special to honor my mom this Mother’s Day beside sharing products with her. So I uploaded my very first YouTube video ever. It’s my first video and definitely not my last!

First of all let’s talk about what I got in this box unboxing. Let me show you what’s inside the current drop…

Up close picture of my favorite products side by side.

AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion is certainly having a moment isn’t it? It’s everywhere you look and what a revelation too; a moisturizing lotion that’s skin friendly, affordable and effective. What more could you ask for?

AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Body Wash. I rave about this all the time but truly it’s one of the best moisturizing body wash. It smells so amazing! It’s formulated with ACTIVE NATURALS® Colloidal Oatmeal to moisturize for 24 hours, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. They claim to provide and lock in moisture for softer, smoother more comfortable skin long after you shower. And it’s soap free and even gentle enough for sensitive skin. I love Aveeno’s Body Wash crazy lot and let me tell you this, you got to try it. Period.

I know that my mom prefers a lightweight formula when it comes to body care and this AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration Lotion will be perfect for her. This hydrating, ultra sheer lotion absorbs in seconds, for a fresh, powder like feel she’ll want to use all year round. This product is voted by Canadian Living Consumers to be the Best New Product of 2016.

NEUTROGENA® All-in-One Make-Up Removing Cleansing Wipes. I know facial wipes aren’t for everyone but I do like to stash a pack in my handbag for any make-up emergency or when travelling. Otherwise, regardless of how tired I may be, I will always opt for a “real” cleanser kinda gal. My real gripe with make-up wipes is how they leave my skin feeling after use – even if it is just one use. If ever there was a facial cleansing cloth to pack for a festival, or those just-in-case moments it’s the Neutrogena  Make-Up Removing Cleansing Wipes.

My mom wears makeup and since we’ll be travelling quite a bit when she’s here visiting, I know this wipes is going to be handy.

NEUTROGENA® Facial Cleansing Bar Original and Dry Unscented. Soap. Truly how often do you purchase soap and no I’m not talking about the anti-bacterial liquid hand soap you purchase with your weekly grocery shop, rather I’m indeed referring to the solid bars that perhaps now seem a little lost in time. It claims this bar is pure and provides a gentle cleansing for clean, clear, healthy-looking skin.

I never use soap to wash my face but I like to venture and try new things that I haven’t tried before. Frankly I’m nervous but I’m going to put this to its test and give an update in an upcoming post.

NEUTROGENA® NORWEGIAN FORMULA® Fragrance Free Hand Cream. This is my favorite hand cream, it’s highly concentrated skin care formula instantly leaves dry hands noticeably softer and smoother after just one application. It smells nothing at all. This product is fragrance free.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I only use a small amount of products on my hands as shown below, just a little goes a long way.  You can see a noticeable difference in softness and smoothness on your hands after application. Your hands will feel very hydrated and will thank you for it. I’ve tried it and I’m convinced. What are you waiting for? GO!

So, that’s it for today’s post and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I just can’t wait to see my mom’s reaction trying out some of the products that I’ll be sharing with her. Shout out to Aveeno for making this possible.

Which products are you most interested in? Would you pick any of these items up? What should I try out next? Love to hear your thoughts!

Thank you so much for stopping by to read. If you did enjoy this post definitely follow my blog. I hope you come to check on my social media down below. Make sure you are following me on Twitter and Instagram (@heysharonoox) for the latest update. In the meantime come and say hi!

Walmart Beauty Haul & Review

Hey guys! What would you do if you’re a beauty addict! Beside shopping online, admittedly I also have a thing or two of shopping in brick and mortar stores. My doctor advises me to walk more and to go out more, so shopping is sort of my way to exercise.

My walk ended at Walmart beauty aisle and finding the satisfaction to feed my addiction of buying more makeup products. Seriously this has to stop or someone has to send me to some beauty rehabs. LOL!

But since it’s too late for that, I might as well show you guys what I picked while I was there.

Ever since I saw this on the internet I’m obsessed with getting the new Infallible Paints Eyeshadow by L’Oreal Paris. I grabbed a few shades from their collection to share it for you guys.

But the color that spoke to me the most are Navy Yard and Sunset Fire. The pink, coral and orangy shades definitely scream spring while the navy blue could be used on the outer corner or a dramatic bold look. I’m so glad to have the chance to play with these lovely colors.

L’Oreal Infallible Paint Eyeshadow is a new double-ended cream eyeshadow stick that contains two shades which can be mixed, matched, or worn individually that launched with the L’Oreal Spring 2017 Collection. It’s a cream shadow format very similar concept as the lip color/lip paint. FranklyI really like the creamy texture and the finishing.

The packaging is quite nice as it holds two shades each of which has its own sponge applicator for applicator. The shades are complimentary to each other but a little difficult to wear together at times. The creamy formula is little bit runny consistency that makes blending so easy. When it comes to pigmentation, I think they’re doing alright. The color doesn’t have the best pigmentation but it’s totally buildable for best results.

I want to conclude that the wear is fantastic and I think oily lid users will be quite happy. The color didn’t fade nor did it crease in a 8 hour period that I wore them (some days I had a shade on for 10 hours). They also remove easily which is also nice.

Moving on, I’ve yet another product from L’Oreal and it’s the Visible Lift Blur Blush. I’ve heard of this from beauty gurus and finally jumped on the bandwagon. I’ve the shade Soft Peach which I believe is the first shade from this line. The setback is that you only have 3 color choices to pick.

I might say that it’s lightweight and almost mousse-like texture to it. On application, I feel it has those silicon-y texture close to a face primer. It’s so easy to apply and perfect for spring/summer beach vacation. A little goes a long way with this blush. Just a little squeeze is all you need to apply on your cheekbones.

As much as I like this lightweight and easy to blend blush, let me just say this blush doesn’t come entirely cheap. I paid $16.99 for this bad boy.

Okay, I promise this is the last product from L’Oreal in this haul. It’s not a new product but on contrary it’s a product that has been around for awhile and I keep collecting them till this day. I’m not doing a review on the Color Infallible Eyeshadow since I’ve done that over in my older post which I’ll put a link here.

unnamed (3)

I’ve been obsessed with Sally Hansen‘s Miracle Gel Color Coat for the past few months. So without a doubt, I went back to pick up two more shades which I really like. I got them in the shades Camo Queen and Twiggy. Speaking from my experience, Sally Hansen’s miracle gel completely ticks all the boxes for me. They’ve a huge color selection which is a plus in my book. I like that it’s quick and easy to apply and furthermore, there’s a nice thick brush that comes with it.

I was excited to try the color Twiggy the moment I got home. I shared a picture of my #NOTD on my Instagram if you like to check it out.

I don’t have a gel lamp at home but happy to say that I’ve them on my fingers for the last 5 days and still going strong without any chip. They looked absolutely gorgeous and lasted fairly well as far as nail polish with me goes! I’m usually fairly messy and not the best at painting my own nails but I found the size and thickness of the brush is perfect for covering the whole nail with minimal product getting onto my skin. For this look, I’m wore two coats and it comes out quite opaque. Loving this Miracle Gel polish, I didn’t what I was missing then.

With summer drawing near also means vacation time for us here. I’ve a few short trip planned this summer. This spring/summer-like weather made me want to run out for a fresh mani and pedi. I just love having a pretty set of freshly painted fingers and toes!

Then I saw this Nail Polish Remover Wipes by Avanti which I think will come quite handy because when it comes to removing nail polish, the process becomes considerably less fun especially when I’m on the road. I’m also a sucker for cute and unique packaging so this comes right home with me.

It holds 30 wipes and it’s acetone free whichever that means. It’s my first time trying it so I’m guessing the formula with non-acetone is less harsh on the nails but then again I could be wrong.

unnamed (1)

Last but not least is a random product I purchased by impulse. I just couldn’t resist the cute packaging and design. I justify it by finding a good home for my pills. Look how pretty the blue diamond is on this silver container. I’m obsessed with everything in silver! It’s a win-win!

What do you think of all these beauty haul? Which is your favorite? Don’t forget to comment below.

Haul This! Cruelty Free Mini Beauty Haul

Hey guys! Can you guess which beauty products I’m going to show you this week? I’m going to show a mini beauty haul of the products that I got for myself. It’s a good haul and worth sharing, in my opinion.

It’s a lazy afternoon as I was browsing through my email and saw news of my favorite cruelty free BH Cosmetics‘ makeup products on sale. You know how I love BH Cosmetics’s products and if you’ve been following my blog since the beginning then you probably have read some of my post reviews here in my blog.

I want you to picture this!

Yes, it has to be BH Cosmetics cruelty free mini beauty haul. I got the following products:

  1. Face Essential 5 Piece Brush Set
  2. Glamorous Blush 10 Color Blush Palette
  3. Iluminate Cream Cheek & Lip Tint by Ashley Tisdale
  4. Neutral Eyes To Go 6 Color Eyeshadow Palette
  5. Modern Mattes To Go 6 Color Eyeshadow Palette
  6. Ultimate Lips To Go 6 Color Lipstick Palette
  7. Studio Pro Beauty  & Precision Sponge

Here are some pictures and close-ups:

Face Essential 5 Piece Brush Set. Cruelty-free synthetic brushes – Retail for $12.50

I’ve been obsessed with these brushes. It all started with their 10 Pieces Sculpt and Blend Brush Set and I was hooked. I then went back and ordered their second version of the Sculpt and Blend set which I’ll share my review on the upcoming post. But today,I just want to talk about this 5 Piece brush set that I’m very excited to test them out.

Here’s what inside the box:

From left to right: 112-Concealer brush, 111-Foundation brush, 110-Contour brush, 109-Duo Fiber brush and 108-Powder brush

It says here on their website: “Ideal for applying powders, creams, and liquids and depositing color in just the right amount for a perfect finish every time.”

To be honest with you, I really like the design from this collection. It’s my third sets from this collection and I’ve high expectation on this one. The bristles are very soft and doesn’t hurt the face. The brushes don’t shed or fall out whatsoever, they’re dense, have a nice handle and they look pretty luxe. They hold onto product very well and are beautiful.  Lastly, is it only me or does anyone else like brushes with numbers? I like to see brands that go an extra mile to do just that. It’s a plus in my book. Very nice face essential brush set!

For the price and quality, I would highly recommend BH cosmetics 🙂

Glamorous Blush 10 Color Blush Palette – Cruelty Free – Retail for $9.99

This is love at first sight!

It includes a combination of complementary matte and shimmer shades in soft nudes, pretty pinks and deep berry. Perfect shades to wear for spring and summer!

With my excitement, I did a quick swipe on my cheek with the coral shade today and I only have to apply it once, it has so much cover and pigmentation. Don’t let the intense color scares you, they’re very settle on the cheeks so it’s very buildable. All the colors are calling my name. I can’t wait to try them out and share my thoughts with you guys. So, don’t forget to stay tuned!

Iluminate Cream Cheek & Lip Tint by Ashley Tisdale – Cruelty Free – Retail for $5.99

I got mine in the shade Cabana and they’re also available in 6 different shades from apricot to berry.

With my combination to dry skin tone, I appreciate face products that could gives me a dewy and fresh finishing look. So, after reading so many positive reviews on this product I decided to try it out myself. I love trying out makeup products as you may know by now and I’m very excited to give this a test.

Studio Pro Beauty  Sponge (lavender) & Precision Sponge (fuchsia) – Cruelty free Sponges – Retails for $4.99 each

Last products I got are these sponge blenders. I’ve a confession to make, I’m hooked with beauty blenders and not ashamed to admit it. I really want to try different sponges from different brands and sizes, if you know what I mean! I also got this on sale for $5, so you cannot go wrong for that price!!

The shape of the precision sponge reminds me of the Hersley Kiss chocolate which I find it super cool. I’m a sucker for anything cute and adorable so that’s how it all started. The sponges you see here are its actual size and not their maximum size. I really like to damp my sponges before working on application. I feel that the texture are really dense and not squishy but has bouncy texture to it, if that make any sense. It has a different feels to some of the beauty blenders I’ve tried.

It says here on the packaging, the sponge is:

  • latex free
  • hypo allergenic
  • odor free
  • reusable
  • wet or dry

Here are the 3 palettes I got for FREE.

  • Neutral Eyes To Go 6 Color Eyeshadow Palette
  • Modern Mattes To Go 6 Color Eyeshadow Palette

Sephora Favorites: Give Me Some Nude Lip – Which One Won?

Hey guys! What’s up this week? Today I’ve a new series coming to you and it’s the “Which One Won?” I got this inspiration after watching my favorite beauty youtuber talking about it.

If you’re new to my blog, Hello & Welcome! Come and join us and I would love it if you could click the subscribe button on the right hand side.

If you’re struggling to find the perfect NUDE shade for spring, you’re not alone. Trust me, I’ve been there and I understand how it feels like. What I did differently this time is having this Sephora Favorites set for lip. This is a great set if you want to try out a nice range of nudes! I was never able to pick out a nude for myself, but this set made it easier to see which colors would work for me.

This Sephora Favorites set launched about a week ago online and because I’ve 2-day flash shipping, I already have it in my hot little hands.

As you know, nude lips are all the rage. I don’t love all nude lips, but I’ve begun to enjoy some mauve/pink nudes a lot. My trick is to basically tried out all these favorite nudes that best compliment my lip color. Continue reading if you care to know which nude ones win?

I’m excited to get started.

The set contains five lipsticks and a lip pencil and comes in a cute pink lip shaped box. It retails for $28 USD/$33 CND. So, you get two full sized products plus three deluxe sized items isn’t a bad deal. Now it just depends on if those full sizes make the set worth it, right!

In this set, you’ll get the following:

Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb (beige nude)
Buxom® Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian (nude)
Estée Edit The Barest Contour lip Liner in 05 In The Buff (satin nude)
Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème in 246 Slow Burn (creamy nude rose)
Too Faced Cosmetics Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick in Queen B (matte soft mauve)
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 1993 Comfort Matte (medium brown)

This set is from Sephora’s Spring Collection 2017.

So, I think I’ll start with something that I’ve been wearing and loving.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème

This item is quite a treat for someone like me who will probably never pay for a full size Marc Jacobs. I’ve the same mini in the shade Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and totally love the formula and the lovely shade.

This one is the Marc Jacob’s Le Marc Lip Crème in Slow Burn. Look how cute and luxe the packaging is! I really love this nude shade very much. I would say the shade and consistency to be of creamy nude rose. I like that it gives my lips that my lips but better kinda look. I know I’m going to have a good wear of it. It’s definitely not going last long but I will enjoy it till it runs out.

Too Faced Cosmetics Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick

Really, could Too Faced have found a longer name for this lipstick? This is a 0.08 oz/ 2.3 ml in Queen B which is a soft mauve matte. The consistency of lip cream is great on this one. Not overly drying and it glides like a dream. It feels comfortable on lips and no tacky feeling on it.

Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick

The next one is called Honeycomb which is described as a nude beige. Honestly, this is my first love with Bite lipsticks.  I’ve always wanted to try this brand and glad that I did. They’re comfortable to wear and the color payoff is very good. It makes me look a little washout with this nude.

Estée Edit The Barest Contour lip Liner

This lip liner is one of their full size lip product from this box. It’s in the shade In the Buff which is of a satin nude. I find that this shade works really well with all the other shades in the box.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick

The second full size product is this beautiful medium brown nudes, but this brown is rubbing me the wrong way. It’s giving me a dark brown vibe, but it could be different on the lips or skin toned.

Buxom® Full-On Lip Cream

The shade I got here is White Russian. I would say this is shade  can simply described as nude. It has a pleasant cooling and minty type of tingle on lips but doesn’t sting. This is the palest of all the shades in the box.

I love the color selections in this set. They’re all nude, but different nudes – pinky, brown, mauve… they’re all amazing! Note that, a  full size Urban Decay lipstick retails for ($21 CAD) and Estee Edit liner ($24 CAD), both of which are in full size.

I’ve voted and Marc Jacob Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème is the winner! I’ve light to medium skin-tone and this shade suit my lips perfectly. Finally, I’ve found my perfect suitor!

This set is definitely a bang for your buck. If you’re on the fence to pick the products, this set is a great way to try a lot about without breaking your wallet.I think their favorites sets are always a great value and this one is no different.

Let me ask you this, if you’ve the chance to try out different brands and colors for a super price – would you take it? My answer is obvious, I’d take it anytime.

Overall, I ‘m happy that I decided to pick this up! Love the great value and good quality brands. They’re perfect, I couldn’t ask for me. This is a limited edition set, so if you’re in the market for a nude lipsticks then I recommend you put your order in now. It’s retailed for $33 CND ($103 value) on Sephora’s website.

What are your favorite lipstick brands? Sound off in the comments!

Walmart Beauty Haul

Hey guys! What’s up you guys! Yes, I’ve started beauty shopping again after a while of winter hibernation. So, my first stop is at Walmart. I picked up a few interesting beauty products that I’m very excited to show you guys.

I don’t want this blog to be too long so let’s get started.

Wet n Wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette

When I first saw it at Emily Noel‘s youtube channel, I’ve been eyeing this since then. As this is Walmart’s exclusive line, I’m all over the moon when I saw it at Walmart. I grabbed these two lovely shades in Nude Awakening and Bare Necessities. Both have amazing color selections with one palette more matte and pinkish than the other.

Elf Blending Sponge

If you’ve been following my blog you know that I’m a sucker for anything cute, so this is something that caught my eyes on the ELF‘s counter. I love a good blending sponge and I’m pretty excited to try out how this one fairs.

Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation

I picked up this Maybelline Cushion foundation in the shade 20. I’m light to medium so, I’ll be trying out to do a color match and test on the formula. I’ve shared a photo of this cushion foundation on my Instagram when it first landed at my local drugstore. I wasn’t too sure if I need another cushion foundation since I still have and love my old favorite, the Physician formula ones. But last week, I decided to pick it up anyways since I feel like spendy and also to do a product review for you guys.

So, ya here it is.

As much as I love my cushion foundation by Physician Formula I thought it would be good to give this product a try. I’ve tried many of Maybelline‘s foundation before and I will have to say I liked them all and so I’ve high expectation on this one. Hope it won’t disappoint.

Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-In-1 Foundation + Concealer

The next product I got is also a foundation. Something is definitely wrong with me. It could be the weather, I don’t know. But as if one foundation is not enough, I picked another and this time it’s by Milani. This one I’ve justification since I’ve been wanting it the moment I saw it floating around the internet. So, when I saw  it at my Walmart, I’m like just take my money. I’m sold!

I got the shade in Medium Beige and I’m very excited to test out the color match and the performance of this foundation + concealer. You guys know that I’m not a very big fan of high coverage foundation because I prefer a natural look with BB Cream but I heard so many people raved about it and so I got to try it.

Milani Powder Blush

And I also picked up something that I’ve been longing to try from Milani since it was first launched. My Walmart doesn’t carry a huge collection of Milani’s makeup products and when I saw this available last week. I grabbed not only one but two of these cute blushes. And yes, it’s their Tea Rose Powder Blush and I also have the shade in Romantic Rose since they’re both so insanely pretty.

Purederm Deep Cleansing Peel-Off Mask (Cucumber)

When I saw this peeling mask, I told myself that I need it.I like the feeling of peeling dry glue when I was a kid and this brings me back to childhood time. There are 5 masks for $7.97 at Walmart. You can also find it on Amazon and Ebay. This product is made in Korea and it’s cruelty free.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy in Sheer Nirvana

Honestly, this is the most expensive nail polish I ever own from a drugstore brand. I saw Amelia Liana talking about the Gel Miracle polish in their Rustic Charm collection. But I decided to pick this Color Therapy line because I just adore this shade so much. I did a color swatch and #NOTD (on my instagram) if you care to check them out. The shade is so girly and pretty. Love, love it! Sheer Nirvana is such a summery color and I really don’t care what season to wear it. I can see myself wearing this over and over!

L’Oreal Doutzen Collection Exclusive in Douzten’s Nude

The last time I checked on the weather, I heard spring will come early this year. I’ve been seeing a lot of new spring color launched on the nails department that I makes me to check them out. Among other shades, this one calls out to me the most. I tried it at the counter and this is definitely my go to spring color nails. I really like this color. It’s a nice mauvy-nude that will be perfect for the season and also for office wear. If you want to see the color swatch, don’t forget to follow me on my instagram for updates.

L’Oreal Evercreame Sulfate-Free Intense Nourishing Shampoo

Last but not least, I’ve a hair product from L’oreal Hair Expertise and it’s their Evercreame Sulfate-Free Intense Nourishing Shampoo.

This shampoo smells amazing and the price is not too bad for a 8.5 fl oz products. I can smell the lovely fresh scents of camelina flower and it’s 100% vegan. It says here that it’s for dry to very dry hair. Well,  I don’t have a very dry hair now but I do have a thick hair. So, I’ll try this and will keep you guys updated if I like it.

So, that’s about it on my Walmart beauty haul this round and I’ll keep you posted on my new series of “Which one won?”. Don’t forget to stay tuned!

Let me know which product you like me do a review on first in the comment. I like to hear what you say.

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope to see you again on the next one. Bye for now!

Colourpop Beauty Splurge – Photos & Swatches

Hey guys! I’ve been collecting makeup left and right in preparation for the biggest holiday of the year. When I saw their kit-LoveAFlare,  I placed a sneaky order with ColourPop! Here’s what I got in my mail weeks ago …sorry to put this post up late, I haven’t been feeling so good of late.

This is strictly just swatches and color descriptions as I just feel better yesterday to do an unboxing of this package from Colour Pop and haven’t tried out any of these products yet.

I got to admit that I’ve really fallen in love with this brand and my collection of their products is growing rapidly. Their prices are amazing and the quality of their products is outstanding! I’m hooked!

Ultra Matte Lip in Knotty

Knotty is a light warm taupe color tone which I really like for everyday wear. It’s not too over the lips kinda shade. This is definitely more of an everyday out color for me which I know I’ll wear and make it out the door with this. It’s just a lovely color.

Creme Gel Liner in Swerve

I picked up this gel liner because I always love to try new liners from brands. This shade is a true onyx black and the formula feels super creamy. This is a nice black liner if you’re in the market for a pretty black liner or smoke it out.

Creme Gel Pot in Swerve

I also ordered the creme gel pot that costs only $6.00 and I’m eager to try it out. Excited I must say. This is my first order of their gel liner and I totally love the formula. I’ll definitely be doing a detailed review once I’ve tried it long enough.

Brow Colour in Bangin’ Brunette

This shade is in true brunette brown. A lovely brown that looks so amazing on swatch. I’ve tried a few drugstore gel brows before and I got to say this is my first time trying out from this brand. I’ll do a separate post review on this product as well.

It comes in a cute glass jar which I absolutely adore.

Super Shock Cheek Flexitarion

I love this shade and ordered it the moment I saw it. This comes in an intense white champagne tone in pearlized finish.

Honestly I don’t see what’s not to like on this highlighter. So, I’ll pull a closer look swatch for you guys to see for yourself.

Another product which I couldn’t resist trying after I did an unboxing. It’s really lovely, and would make such a nice stocking stuffers.

Love A Flare

Do I need more eyeshadows in my life? No! Do I want more? YES! This is my second order of their eyeshadow kit after my not too long ago purchase of their Foursome Zingara. Can you tell I’m obsessed with eyeshadows now?

These shades are gorgeous for winter months. You got four matte shadows with a shimmery and a metallic. The super shock shadows were something I see myself reaching for.

Here’s what inside this kit:

  • I Spy: Matte finish soft yellow peach
  • Melrose: Matte finish true rust
  • Moonwalk: Pearlized finish yellow gold with a rust orange undertone and green duo chrome flip
  • By My Side: Pearlized finish duo chrome yellow peach with a pink flip
  • High Rise: Matte finish deep olive
  • Head Rush: Matte finish khaki olive

Color Swatches OMG!

One swipe shadow on bare hand (without primer)

The pigmentation really impresses me. These eyeshadows are a creme to powder finish and it does not budge.

I think it’s safe to say I’m addicted to their Super Shock line. The formula of every finish is to die for and they’re only $5!! Such an amazing price. Don’t you think!

Here’s a quick guide in case you’re curious or not to be overwhelm by all their incredibly awesome products.

Products and Prices:
Ultra Matte Lip- $6 (Over 35 Shades)
Lippie Stix- $5 (Over 50 Shades)
Lippie Pencils- $5 (Over 50 Shades)
Blush/ Highlighers/ Bronzers- $8 (Over 40 Shades)
Eyeshadows- $5 (Over 70 Shades)

I’ll have more in-depth reviews of these up in the near future. I loved everything I got and I can’t wait to try them out more.

That’s all I got from Colourpop this time. I fully intend on making a larger order soon with more exciting winter/spring shades! Heads up for more hauls in the coming blog.

Have you tried anything from Colourpop before? Or have you seen anything you like? Comment in the section below. I love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks a million for be an awesome friend! Hope you’ve a lovely week. [muah]

Aveeno Huge Beauty Haul

Hi guys!

If you regularly read my content, you know by now I spend an extraordinary amount of time bathing. I may not wash my hair every single day but you better believe when I tell you that I’m going to spend some time in  my shower or bath. It’s how I unwind basically!

*Press Samples

On the days that have been slightly on the rough side, I’ve been reaching for a comforting body wash that is creamy, warming, and enveloping—like a hug from my honey bear.

So today, I’ve rounded up the best Beauty Haul by Aveeno that will hold up throughout your Thanksgiving feast. Yes, I’m talking about beauty skin products which was sent to me by Aveeno for considerations. As you may know, Aveeno is a personal favorite brand of mine and I’m pretty excited to try these products and more than excited to share them here.

So let’s get started.

Here are the latest in Aveeno huge beauty haul: Enjoy!

  1. Pure Renewal Shampoo
  2. Pure Renewal Conditioner
  3. Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion
  4. Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion
  5. Stress Relief Body Wash
  6. Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Bath
  7. Moisturizing Bar
  8. Neutrogena Men Invigorating Face Wash
  9. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne
  10. Neutrogena Stubborn Acne Spot Gel
  11. Neutrogena All in One Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes

The first thing I want to talk about is their Calming & Comfort Lotion in lavender and vanilla scents.

This lotion is designed to help calm babies and I would definitely wanted to use it for my little one before bedtime. Sleep is important but a good night sleep for me is everything. I’m sure a lot of mommy out there could agree!

These are all amazing products for anytime of the year and especially for those who have going to spend your hours prepping and cooking for Thanksgiving. The stress relief foaming bath and moisturizing lotion are something to help unwind and relax after the long day. One thing I can tell you is that they definitely have everyone in mind when they sent me products for baby and men in the family.

Aveeno Stress Relief Foaming Bath in lavender, charmomile and ylang-ylang oils. With thanksgiving and the big holiday approaching fast, I got stressed up just by thinking of the holiday. Shopping lists and Christmas preparation could be overwhelming sometimes.

Luckily, I’ve some stress relief to help me through the holidays. I can’t wait to get into the tub for a nice and relaxing bath.

I know that this product will made it’s way into my daily routine since Christmas holiday is usually hectic and I can imagine myself using this a lot to unwind. It says on the bottle that it hydrates for 24 hours and I’m intrigued to put this to the test. Let me know if you would like me do a post review on the comment section.

Another plus is that since we’re not spared from colder winter – lots and lots of moisturizer is necessary! Your skin is going to thank you later for it.

If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’m a huge fan of body wash. I went through body wash very quickly. I’m very excited to try this stress relief body wash and see if it really works. I’ll report back for update in my next post. Don’t forget to stay tuned!

The body wash is formulated with lavender and chamomile which from what I heard is that lavender has the aromatherapy properties to help on stress relief.

Moving on is the Aveeno Baby Calming and Comfort Bath. I love the scents of lavender and vanilla. It’s so refreshing and soothing without going overboard. I’ll have my little boy try this bath product. He loves a good bath even in autumn and gets to play with the bubbles. I know that he is going to like it but I want to see his reaction to this product.

This might be TMI but in case you don’t know, I wash my hair every 2 other days. I haven’t tried any hair products from this brand, so yes I’m quite excited with the prospect. I’m happy to see that their Pure Renewal shampoo and conditioner are made for all hair types. That’s cool!

Let’s talk packaging. I really like the long green cylinder tube. It makes storing so much easier and convenient. It’s not too bulky or heavy. A good amount of products with amazing scents to it. They’re in full size samples and honestly, I was really blown away.

I know that I’ll be busy testing out most of the products by myself and will have my hubby try the product for men. I’ll do a separate product review once I’ve tried them. These are all products that I know I’ll be reaching out for when the holiday gets closer.

Next on the list is an interesting product which I’m dying to have my hubby try is this Invigorating Face Wash. He is not very interested in this department but I’m going to convince him to try it out anyways. I’m excited to hear what his thoughts are which then I’ll update right back once I got his feedback.

Makeup Removing Face wipes are one of the most important beauty must-haves for festivals and a little pocket-sized pack like this is perfect for travelling too. You get 25 wipes which is a good quality and talk about product that actually work. Well, this I could confirm it works because I’ve tried and love it!

Next is the Moisturizing Bar for Dry Skin. It contains natural colloidal oatmeal that combat dry and itchy skin. This soap would be great to use for winter season. I don’t usually use soap on my body but for you guys, I’m going to try it and let you know what I think next.

Last but not least, I want to show you Neutrogena Daily Leave on Mask and Spot Gel for Stubborn Acne. I’ve been lucky to have some good skin days in the summer but with the weather turning colder, my skin tends to be acting up. I’ll definitely be wearing this once I spotted a bad skin day.

These are a couple of drugstore gems that you got to check them out. They’re a prefect addition for my winter skin, hair and facial routine. All the products mentioned, you could find them at any drugstores, Walmart, Target US, CVS and on Aveeno’s website.

What do you think guys? Will you be checking these out soon? Comment below your reply. I love to read your comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

Walmart Beauty Haul – #Octoberhaul

Hey everybody! How’s it going? Yes, it’s the second week of October and I was in the mood to do another beauty haul this month. I got good response from the last Walmart Beauty Haul Under $5 that I decided it was time to switch things up and try something new like doing more beauty hauls posts. I’m going to it my #Octoberhaul blog.

So, ya let’s start.

So yes, I’ve been shopping at Walmart quite a bit since they started carrying E.L.F cosmetics beauty products. They got almost everything there from grocery to fashion, toys, home decor to beauty under one roof. It’s kind of a perfect destination to spend on a Saturday afternoon, really!  I know I could go on and on but you’re here to see beauty haul and let’s jump in.

I got a few products that I’m excited to try and some are my repeat buys. I like them and would repurchase whenever the urge of my makeup addiction sparks. Who else does this?

First thing I wanted to talk about is the most loveable lip cream by Hard Candy ever. If you’ve been following my blog, you might’ve seen the review post which I’ll link it here. I’m in love with this Velvet Mousse lip cream. The texture is so soft and it goes on smoothly. I particularly love how velvety it makes my lips look. Love the high pigmentation and I kid you not, they’re long lasting.

This is in the shade Daffodils and I did I mentioned that I love a good matte lip cream? You just pop it on your lips and you’re good to go. It feels lightweight and comfortable on lips. I didn’t notice any feeling of the stickiness or gunky feeling at all. This is the third shades I’ve picked up so far. We’re in the fall season now and I’m excited to expand my horizon to the darker side of the spectrum.

This brown toned velvet mousse is my favorite color to wear especially this time of the year. They’re so cute and I feel like I could wear it the whole fall. The packaging is cute and the doe foot applicator amazeball. I love this thing! Uhhhh!!!  Can’t get enough of this.

Another product I want to share here is the Flower Beauty Eyes on the Prize Eyeshadow Chubby in the shade Olive My Love. It was on liquidation for $2.50 and if you see this at your local Walmart in Canada, I recommend this if you like Eyeshadow Chubby pencils a lot go get them before they’re all gone.

I’m afraid this was the last makeup product left from Flower Beauty at my local Walmart. Almost all had been picked up and they’re all gone.

Anyways, in case you don’t know me, I’m a person who loves collecting unique packaging and limited edition beauty products. I know you might not care but just to put it put there in case you want to know.

So, when I saw this chubby pencil I thought, I want to keep this as a momento and also to do a review after I’ve tried it. I was too excited to do a color swatch which I did, and I’ve shared it on my Instagram.

I’ve been loving a lot more of E.L.F.products recently with a simple reason that it’s so much convenient now for me to get them at Walmart. I used to order them online but now everything is within reach. So yay!

I picked this new Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in the shade St Luca. The blush looks like a shimmery coral peachy color while the bronzer is of brownish brown tone. The packaging looks sleek and sturdy and it comes with a decent size mirror which I like.  For the low prices I’m not complaining at all but I’m curious to try out how it works on me.

The next product I got is another Hard Candy makeup. Do you know that this brand is cruelty free, and same goes to Flower Beauty and E.L.F. makeup products? All the products mentioned are not tested on animals except L’oreal’s brand.

I did a review post a while ago on the same 10 Eyeshadow Palette in Birthday Suits. I really enjoyed the shades and quality. So, when I saw this palette with silver brocade embroidery, I need this in my life. Silver is my favorite if you’ve been following me on my blog. So, yes, I’m excited with this Rich & Famous color eyeshadow. I can’t wait to get my paws on them!

Moving on is the L’oreal La Palette Noir Eyeshadow Palette and it’s for CAD$23.96 at Walmart.

This is not a new product by L’oreal but definitely it’s new to me nevertheless. Available in three other shades I decided to pick this La Palette Noir to greet this fall season. I wanted to create a darker shades smokey eye look this Halloween. I’m intrigued to test this one since I’ve heard some mixed reviews on it.

I personally don’t really care much of the packaging but I’ll be more interested on the texture and formula. For this price, the stake is high. I’m putting a lot of expectation  on this product and I honestly hope it wouldn’t disappoint me. Finger crossed!

Another cruelty free product I got from Elf Cosmetics is their new Perfect Blend Concealer. I happened to pick up the shade in Light Beige. I’ve heard so many good things about this concealer that I was swayed to get it. Yes, I know, I’m such a #beautycholic! What can I say!

I’ve been obsessed with dark circle concealer so this is what it looks like. So, I’m very excite to try this. I love the shade and packaging. It’s a small size and easy to throw in my purse. I can’t wait to use it more.

So ya, I’ll report back on this one for sure. Don’t forget to stay tuned!

Next I also picked up the ELF Lengthening & Defining Mascara. I’m always excited to try out ELF makeup products. I’ve tried their liquid eyeliner and I really love it and ya, this time around the star is mascara.  Let’s give it a try. It’s black and oohh… I like how sutler this is.  I didn’t know if I like it at first but I really like it though.

Here’s a close up photo of the brush applicator.

Ya, first impression is that I like it. WOOHOO!

I appreciate a good eyebrow brush and I’m happy to find one on ELF’s counter. At the moment, not tons to say about this brush I want to see how it works on my brows first.

So, that’s it for today’s Walmart haul. I really love doing haul if you guys know me. I get so excited with makeup and sometimes on fashion. Let me know if you like reading this type of post.

Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you again on the next post. Bye!

Sharon xoxo
