Hi guys! Have you heard of Elf Cosmetics Color Correcting Stick yet or what’s it for? If you don’t then grab a chair and continue reading till the end.
Each color corrector has its own function:
Green: Reduces redness.
Lavender: Corrects a tired, pallid and yellow complexion and creates a fresh and immaculate complexion.
Yellow: Minimizes extremely dark pigmentation spots and blueish dark circles.
Apricot: Corrects dark spots and dark circles. Also suitable for more olive-colored skin types.
Color Correcting Sticks are concealers that help balance and correct skin tone for a flawless look. The Peach illuminates and conceals dark circles for light skin tone while the Orange is for deeper skin tones. I just picked up one product from this range since that’s what I wanted to try for my under eye circles.
It says on elf website – the peach color helps to illuminate and conceal dark circles or hyper-pigmentation on light skin tones. This formula is infused with Vitamin E to help hydrate the skin which I think is great for the undereye circles.
In case you haven’t heard, all elf products are cruelty free and 100% vegan.
The consistency is right and it works well. I really enjoy wearing this for the first time. I have to say though that the formula is a little creamy compared to others that I’ve tried over the past but I love how easy it is to blend. You get a lot of product in each stick. It looks like a pencil crayon that you twist the end to click up more products.
This lightweight finishing cream to powder is great for all skin tones enhancing the look of foundation or bare-skin. It’s quite a thick formula and goes on quite heavy but the good thing about it is that it blends out amazingly. I’m just using my fingers to blend it out. It doesn’t really set or anything which means it gives me time to blend out. It’s a thick creamy formula that’s not heavy under the eyes and doesn’t get cakey.
What I like about this corrector is that it neutralizes my dark circles very very well. I’m quite impressed!
I’m going to keep trying this as it blends flawlessly that it’s not obvious I’m wearing a color corrector to hide my dark circles. This could be my new found love! I think it’s an amazing find especially for I think it was like less than CAD$6. Good job elf!
So that’s it for my first impression review and hope this helps. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hey everyone! Today’s post I want to kick things off with something really cool for month of April.
I picked up this cool beauty package that has some cute new products in it (well at least it is to me) and because it’s my first time trying out this brand, I’m suuuper excited!
The first thing is this gorgeous travel makeup bag. What I loved about this bag is that it’s sand color and it’s an awesome size bag. Just look how deep it was … the bottom is endless and great for storing lots of makeup! If you like hauling everything in your makeup bag when travelling, then you seriously need this!
Moving on is the Long Wear Makeup Remover. It’s a cream formula makeup remover for long wear makeup.
Dermablend Professional products are not tested on animals and vegan. Check out their dermatological standards and the formulas are:
✔ sensitive skin-tested
It’s light, gentle and so kind on the skin and it does a great job at removing every traces of products on my face. It also doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry, and the formula has no harsh odor at all.
Here’s a short video clip of how it’s done.
I just follow the instruction of how to use and it’s easy peasy! It’s easy to work on and I appreciate how amazingly it removes even the most stubborn waterproof makeup. It’s great for achieving that effortless result.
The last makeup product that’s in this makeup kit is the Setting Powder.
Here’s the claim made by Dermablend of their setting powder “our translucent powder flawlessly sets makeup, ensures smudge and transfer resistance and enhances makeup wear for up to 16 hours. great for all skin types and tones, our loose setting powder blends smoothly to mattify complexion and leave skin looking flawless”.
This is the kind of powder product that I’d probably reach for on my favorite full glam makeup days. I feel like I’m going to be obsessed with this! Love this combo!
Have you heard of this brand? And have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned? I’d love to know what’s your thoughts of them.
I was at the drugstore yesterday and I picked up this new highlighter which I’m really excited to share my first impression. I’ve always looking for affordable makeup products that actually work. So that’s why this really appealed to me. This brand is a familiar friend and it’s the most ravedWet n Wild Mega Glo Highlighter Powderby so many beauty bloggers and youtubers in the beauty world. I was really curious and have always wanted to try out new drugstore products.
I haven’t open it yet just so that I could show it to you guys a bit of a first impression here on my blog.
First of all let’s start with the packaging. It comes in a simple Wet n Wild plastic compact packaging and it’s huge. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use on this.
There’s like a flower petal stamped onto it which I find really cute and the shade I got is in Blossom Glow. It’s a new shade brought to you by Wet n Wild. The new shades are the Royal Calyx (lavender), Botanic Dream (pink), Blossom Glow (pale pink champagne), and Golden Flower Crown (yellow-gold) that currently joined the lineup of Precious Petals (peach) and Crown Of My Canopy (copper). Even better, each one is retails for CAD$6.99 which is so inexpensive for a drugstore brand and they’re cruelty free.
If you’re curious to know what ingredient is in this product, I thought I might as well give you a close up look. So there you have it, I hope it helps.
I’m going to do a swatch here for you guys. OMG! It’s so buttery and so soft. Blossom Glow is so pretty. It’s like a pale pink champagne color. I’m obsessed. This shade is totally something I’d wear on a daily basis. It’s pigmented and yet blend so well. I’m pretty impressed and loving the formula already. When you swirl it around with your fingers, it just feels like butter and so soft on the pan. I love it and have high hopes on it. So I’m excited that it work.
Here’s a close-up of the shade Blossom Glow.
It actually looks like a glow rather than chunks of glitters. It comes out on my skin tone as an irridescent pink. It’s so pretty, my highlight is popping girls! I’m obsessed!
Overall, here’s what I’ve to say about this product. I love the glow it gives to the skin. This is an amazing highlighter especially for the price. I highly recommend this to my friends!
Let me know if there’s any new products that I missed. I was on the hunt for like brand new launches for spring.

Disclaimer: I only work with brands I love, so thank you for helping me to support them. I received these products for free in exchange for sharing my experience, all thought and opinions are my own. The products shown in this blog post were sent to my by a PR company for consideration. The post is not sponsored.
Hey guys! Since December is a Blogmas month, I thought it would be nice for me to add another bonus post for you guys. The other week I was lucky enough to receive a package containing some top up skincare products that I’m excited to test them out.
This is my first time trying out the Nano Face Lab product line by Bochéry. They’re full size products and comes in a nice metallic grey tube packaging which I find it to be convenient and travel friendly.
The first product I want to talk to you about is the Firming Neck & Décolleté Cream works as an agent to help delay double chin and decreases the wrinkles of the neck and décolleté (low neckline). I love using firming neck cream in my evening skincare routine just before going to bed. As we age, overtime the skin around the neck will lose its tone and firmness. I’ve seen that on my mom and my aunts and let me tell you that it’s never to early to take care of your skin and the neck area properly.
The creamy formula feels feather light on the skin one might mistaken it for a gel silicone base but it’s not. It has a nice scents that’s so relaxing. I’ve tested this product for a week now and I like how my skin toned up but I think it’s still too early for me to conclude if this product really helps on skin firming or not. I’ll be back to report more of the updates in the coming weeks.
I’ve always wanted to use Anti-Age Cream on a daily basis and after using this stuff for more than a week my fine lines skin days are finally over. I completely adores this cream. The formula feels moisturizing and so good on the skin. I notice my skin looking more radiant and it doesn’t feel so dry as before. I’ll definitely adding this to my skincare routine.
Last but not least is theBochéry Anti-Wrinkle Lift Serum that I’ve been so obsessed with since I started using it. This serum helps to target on my fine lines that need the most attention. I like to wear it under my night cream. It feels cooling when I first applied them. It absorbs fast and I can immediately see the revitalized effect almost immediately. I’m quite impressed with the performance so far.

Hi everyone! It’s insane that Christmas is in just less than three weeks. I don’t know about you but for me, I like to shop early for friends and family so to avoid all that hustle and bustle of shopping malls. All been said, I actually enjoy shopping at this time of the year. Apart from buying gifts for friends and family, I like buying gifts for myself too.
I stumbled upon this cute 12 days Advent Calendar by Boe Proessional when I was grocery shopping. You know I’m a sucker for cute things so I got it even though I know I don’t really need it. I’ve tons of makeup that I can’t finish using but then … it’s so affordable I can’t turned it down. Long story short, I was too excited so I cheated and open them all to show you guys.
So, let’s get started since it’s going to be a long post and so you might want to get cozy.
A twelve days Advent Calendar makeup goodies by Boe Professionalfor C$11.23 that’s just a ridiculously insane deal if I may say so. I didn’t have high expectation for product that’s less than $2 but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these products.
Since Boe Beauty is an Australian beauty brand, it’s not a widely known brand to us here and it’s not that easily available in stores, but I had a chance encounter with it at my local grocery store. It’s an Australian cosmetic brand where you can order your products online exclusively at BigW.
First thing first in the advent calendar in no particular orders are the Colour Shine Lipstick and the Lip Shine Gloss. Gorgeous soft pink and mauvy shades that will leave your lips looking pouty and glossy.
I really like the colors of these swatches. It’s nice and it got a different texture that’s light and nicely pigmented. I don’t know if you can believe me if I told you that I’ve a lot of lipsticks but I don’t think I’ve pink shade like that. This lipstick gives your lips a sheer and satin-y look. I think this shade will look nice on any skin types. If pink is your color then you’re going to like it.
I notice the lip gloss has a slightly fruity scents and the formula not sticky at all. It feels comfortable and moisturizing on the lips which I really appreciate.
Next are the Sunkissed Bronzer, Shimmer Shadow and Body Glitter. The packaging is of drugstore plastic material. It’s very light and you could easy throw in your purse and go. The downside is the compact packaging which I find to be a little on the filmsy side. I was so scare it might drop and break but for less than $2 product with consistent formula, I think I can live with that.
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate how pretty these swatches are? They’re all incredible pigmented. I haven’t wear body glitter for a long while so I’m very excited to give this a try. As for the bronzer, I find it a tad lighter for my skintone but I can wear it as a blush without any problem. I think my favorite product out of these three is the shimmer shadow. It’s so pretty and highly pigmented! This powder shadow looks almost like cream in texture. It blends effortlessly and it makes my eye looks bigger and more popped! I can totally see myself reaching for it this holiday season. I urge you to try them for yourself and see!
Moving clockwise is the Tinted Eyebrow Gel, Eyeliner, Flirty False Lashes, Khol Pencil and Curling Mascara. You guys might’ve noticed that I adore eyeliners and when I saw that this calendar not only has one but two liners, I was thrilled.
First look at the applicator and packaging of this mascara, it’s pretty basic like any other drugstore brands. I can’t wait to test it out on my straight lashes and report back if it actually works.
Same goes with the falsies. It does look a little intimidating to me at first but I’m all about trying new things for you guys. Frankly, I’ve never wore such a big falsies before so I can tell it’s going to be exciting.
Both liners glide on smoothly and evenly on the lid. The khol pencil stays on much longer than the liquid ones. I’m a huge fan of liquid liner but this khol pencil just speaks to me. I’m quite impressed with the quality and the staying power.
Next that I’m going to talk about is the eyebrow gel that’s so amazing. It actually works well in keeping all my fussy brow hair intact while making brow drawing a breeze. I believe you can get this individual product at BigW if you only want this particular eyebrow gel.
Last but not least, we’ve the Radiant Highlighter and Lip Pencil.
I really like the silicon and creamy feel of this formula. It does gives a smooth layer of highlighter but not those you’d be expecting from high-end brands. It gives you a nice reflection under the light but definitely not that right on your face type of highlighter.
I don’t see the results I wanted from the highlighter but if you’re a beginner to makeup. This would be a great place to start.
Did I tell you that I’m been obsessed with the lip pencil! It’s a soft muted fuchsia that’s creamy and smooth in texture. I like how easy this applies on lips.
I think this is a great find if you’re new to trying out makeup or on a budget buy. The quality is okay for the price you pay.
I hope you guys enjoyed a little sneak peek of this advent calendar and don’t forget to leave me a comment and let me know what you picked up just recently.
Hey everyone! The past weekend shopping involves a stop to my local drugstore to pick up a few skincare products to try out for you guys. I was tempted to go all the way out but reminded myself that I’ve way too many skincare products, and I opted for just two products that I actually need right now.
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’m obsessed with pretty much every Aveeno product new or old. I’m at that age where taking care of my skin is no longer an option but a necessity. I’ve been loving their products since day one of my blogging days and none has yet to disappoint. It’s safe for me to say that Aveeno is an amazing drugstore brand when it comes to being affordable and convenient.
Long story short, I picked up Aveeno Makeup Removing Cleanser and their Fresh Essentials Daily Exfoliating Scrub which I’ve been so excited to try out.
I’d have to say that I’m quite surprised with the formula of this corrector. I was expecting it to be a little thicker in consistency to other products that I’ve tried but this one is just right. It’s a thin cream that dries up fast which is good since you’re supposed to use it in addition to the moisturizer and other makeup stuff. It has a natural and mild scents that’s not irritating nor too overwhelming. I find it pleasant and quite like it to be honest.
It says on the packaging to apply directly to areas with uneven tone and dark spots twice a day before your moisturizer.
There’s a particular uneven skin tone on my left cheek that I want it gone. So, I’m going to continue testing it out and update you guys with the development in another 2-3 weeks.
My current favorite go to Makeup Removing Cleanser has to be the Aveeno Positively Radiant for smooth and soft skin. The soy extract works incredibly well to remove makeup and cleans my skin while keeping it radiant.
Trust me, this cleanser is gentle and it cleans all the makeup and residues right away leaving skin smooth and soft. Just look at this insanely glorious foaming happening here. My skin is screaming with joy right now.
For the purpose of this first impression review, I did my makeup early in the morning and then use this makeup remover to cleanse my entire face and it works so well. I’m pleasantly surprised on how effective it cleans and make my skin feels so fresh and not drying at all. My skin feels really good, I mean it feels great!
I was looking for an exfoliator that’s more natural and I really like this daily scrub. The mini beads are quite subtle and gentle that it’s hardly noticeable compares to other brands that I’ve tried in the past. It says on the packaging that it’s for daily exfoliating but I’m going to stick with my routine of 2-3 times a week.
One thing to remember is that this is a exfoliating scrub and not a cleanser so don’t expect it to foam or lather. I’ve had no break outs or dryness while using this. I can immediately notice the difference on my skin tone after I exfoliate and rinsed. My skin looks brighter and feels so smooth. It feels like a layer of protection covering them.
I love the amazing scents and the mild texture is just so relaxing while leaving my skin feeling fresh, clean and smooth. The scents doesn’t bother me at all because I love a good fresh and clean smell after cleaning. I’m not overly concerned with scented skincare when it comes to all natural ingredients used in making of these products. I’m not telling you this is good or bad, you’ve to decide it for yourself. All I’m saying is that it has a fragrance, a little on the strong side so if you’re sensitive to that then this may not be for you. But if you’re like me and love a nice scented southernwood plants than you’re going to like this one.
This really met all my expectations and I’m excited to try more stuff from Aveeno. You can find all the products I mentioned here at your local drugstores or nearby Walmart.
Have you tried any of Aveeno’s product yet? What are some of your favorites? Leave me a comment and tell me down below!
Thank you so much for stopping by to read. I hope you find this post helpful and until next time, stay beautiful.
P.s. Stay tuned to the new series of Blogmas Bag Monday coming up soon!

Hey everyone! It’s that time of the year again where brands are coming out with huge amount of holiday stuff from palettes to gift sets and so many choices of things to choose from. I grabbed two of the latest holiday set by e.l.f. Cosmetics over the weekend and I’m very excited to show you what’s inside the packaging.
I’m going to do a first impression type of post in today’s blog for your guys. First of all, let me just say that we don’t have to settle at all with just one brand. There are so many brands that comes out with so many gorgeous palettes and brands that putting out amazing lip products this time of the year. But I love e.l.f. for their affordable drugstore brand and their cruelty free, vegan products. I bought several sets last year and I can tell you that they don’t disappoint. Let’s just say that I trust their picks when it comes to holiday gift sets.
I’ll be talking about some of really good finds from e.l.f. cosmetics. So we’re going to dive in and do that now.
e.l.f. has come out with a good selection of holiday sets this year and I picked two sets that I thought I’d want to show you guys.
This is the e.l.f Lined & Lovely Eyeliner Set and the other one is their Glowing Star Bronzer and Brush Set. Each retailed for C$6.99 in my local drugstore or you can get them for US$5.00 at e.l.f’s website.
Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black
Liquid Eyeliner in Midnight
Eyeliner Pencil in Black
I’m a liquid liner kinda girl so this collection is right up my alley. I love the fine tip brush. It’s so easy to draw a winged eye with this brush. It glides on like a dream. You can say goodbye to tugging and smudging liner. It’s a great product for that price!
e.l.f. Expert Liquid Liner is available in four shades on e.l.f. website. The shades I got in my set are Jet Black which is a dark black and Midnight that’s described as dark navy blue. When I did a swatch color side by side, I notice very little difference when comparing these two shades. I don’t mind because I always prefer black and dark liners so I’m good with it.
Would you believe me if I tell you this Lovely Pencil Eyeliner is only for a dollar? Ridiculously insane right! But that’s the truth. I appreciate the packaging comes with a built in sharpener cap which is so convenient. The color I got is in Black which is a nice pick for this set. It’s a universal shade for everyone. The formula is creamy and it glides smoothly on the lash line. If you want to try something out that’s low budget but with good quality, I recommend this set to you. You can’t go wrong with the low price!
Each box has a description of its products and the ingredients used. Note that all e.l.f products are Not Tested on Animals. Look for the logo of the bunny to ensure that it’s cruelty free.
It’s made of synthetic hair material. I really like how soft it is and this brush is vegan friendly and cruelty free. All e.l.f. products are not tested on animals in case you’re wondering.
You just swirl the brush on the powder in a circular motion and it picks up the products like no other. You get what you pay for.
The shade Sunkissed Bronzer a great match for light-medium skin toned. It’s pigmented and a little goes a long way with this product. It’s just the perfect everyday bronzer that I know I can wear all the time. Score!
If you love cruelty free, vegan and value for money makeup products for yourself or as a gift to your love ones this holiday season, then don’t wait. Grab yours today!
So thank you so much for stopping by and read. Let me know what you think in the comments section. I hope you guys have a great day and I’ll see you again very soon. Bye!

I’m super excited to to share with you my latest love that I just picked up over the weekend. This palette is so affordable and it’s going to be my latest day-to-day go to for quick and beautiful eye look.
I bought this at Dollaramaand I swatched it in the store. It’s so pigmented that I’ve to get it but is it justifiable?
In short yes! The GO Nude Eyeshadow Palette is a stunning collection and I’m going to tell you why.
First up for the packaging. The palette comes in a pink and sturdy metal casing. It’s a slim palette considering it’s size, so convenient for travelling and popping into larger makeup bags. I love that they use metal packaging for this kind of palette as opposed to cardboard given the price is only $4.
It says on the packaging that this palette is Not Tested on Animals but I can’t find anywhere on the website to confirm this.
The hinge makes it easy to open and close the lid. The packaging is slim and sleek which I really appreciate. The pink color design is so pretty and girly.
Does this reminds you of the Naked Palette or what? Like honestly just this packaging it reminds me so much of it.
In terms of the shades, there are a total of 12 in the palette mainly consist of neutral nude shades. There is a great selection of both matte and shimmery shades, with the textures and formulations being on point throughout. You get 9 matte shades thrown in the mix and the shades are of warm, cool and neutral tones. When it comes to texture, they’re creamy and smooth to apply. They blend beautifully.
You’ll get a full size mirror and as you can see you get a total of twelve beautiful shades for less $5 a palette.
I believe it comes with a dual ended applicator like those of Naked Palette but the palette I got is missing a brush. I’m not completely bummed since I don’t really care about palette brush anyways.
Here are the colors up closed. I want to do it a few up close shots for you guys.
I’ll go ahead and swatch all these eyeshadows and as always I applied these shadow swatches on my bare hand.
I can see this becoming one of my go to palettes this year as the shades are so me. If you want to get your hands on one I’d recommend you heading to your nearest dollar store before they’re out of stock. However, it seems to be available on ebay or amazon website.
Will you be picking this up? What do you guys think? Share it in the comment below.
Thank you guys for taking the time to read and I hope this was helpful for you. I’ll talk to you guys very soon. Bye!
Hey everybody! Thanks so much for stopping by and here’s the story I’ve been getting more requests to feature a more luxury brand makeup on my blog. I’m talking brands like Bobbi Brown, GlamGlow, Darphin and more from this box that’s I’ll be talking here in this blog.
I do understand your concern to know whether products like this are really much better than the products you can get from the drugstore. You know that I’m very familiar with what’s happening at the drugstore but admittedly I haven’t tried or dabbled quite enough products from very high end price range just so you know.
I’ve been experimenting them on and off for about the past weeks so let’s jump in.
First thing first, I’ll show you what’s in this Luxury Essentials box.
Smashbox | Photo Finish Foundation Primer (7.1mL deluxe sample)
Clinique | TAKE THE DAY OFF MAKEUP REMOVER (50mL deluxe sample)
GlamGlow | SUPERMUD (15g deluxe sample)
First thing I like to talk about is the Clinique Take the day off Makeup Remover. Whenever anyone asks me which oil free makeup remover I’d recommend, I pretty much always say Clinique.
I’ve just went through my first bottle recently and was pleased when I received a deluxe size sample as back up. This is my favorite makeup remover this month. I use it on my eyes, lips and even on my face and it does a great job in removing all. I don’t have to rub my eyeballs out with this product. A gentle wipes is all it takes to remove all your stubborn eye makeup. It does seems a little pricey for a makeup remover but it totally worth it on how well it performs. This stuff is magic!
GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment is a little bit on a hefty price but I’ve good experience with this product so far. It’s my third time trying it last week and I actually like it. It cleans my pores out like no other while giving it a blur out look. I notice the blackheads around my nose is not visible. The smell reminds me of the chinese herbal roots medicine that my granny used to brew when I was little. It’s not terrible actually, you just got to get used to it. This product dries up pretty quickly on the skin so, be sure to apply it fast then leave it on for 5-20 minutes and let it do its magic. You might feel a little tingling for a second or two as the mud started to do its thing. My skin felt really clean after this, I mean really really clean and soft.
If you’ve sensitive skin then you might want to skip on this one.
Moving on is the Advanced Night Repair by Estee Lauder. I just want to say tell you guys upfront that his product is not new to me. I’ve used it long before I started blogging and have been loving it since then. I just felt like I didn’t have a great opportunity to talk about it until now. So here we go! I’m going to say that this repair serum is a hidden gem type of status.
I had first wore this product it my late twenties, and fast forward to today I’m revisiting a product that I truly love. When I got this sample, I immediately start using it. I’m so impressed with the improvement on my skin. I notice my skin looks radiant and smooth in texture wise. A flashback on why I love it was because this serum really helps reduce fine lines on my forehead significantly. I was glad I started early with this product. It works great and I highly recommend it! It’s like walking back on memory lane.
My first time trying out this brand by Darphin is awesome. As we all know, skincare product is something that just can’t be a one time thing because it needs time to work. . So, let just say that I’m in the stage of figuring it out now but I can tell you that after using it for about two weeks now, I notice my skin feels firmer and less dull.
In this box you’ll also get a mini size version of the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. This product has been in the market for a while and a lot of people has been talking about it. I’ve heard many mixed reviews about this product but I’m one of the many that find this primer works well on me.
I wore it again for my daughter’s birthday dinner last night and I got so many compliments on my flawless makeup. This primer is a dream come true. It’s super lightweight, feels wonderfully silky and gives my skin a flawless look. I’ve never felt anything quite like it before and it felt almost high-tech in my opinion. What do you think? Have you tried this primer before? Share it in the comments below.
I like to apply them all over my face. You just need a small pea size product to cover the whole face. Once set, I go ahead to apply my foundation and the rest of my makeup. This primer is a universal translucent gel that works for every skin tone. Perfect!
I usually buy lipsticks in mauve nude or classic red so when I saw this in my TopBox essentials I just flipped out. A gorgeous mini by Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in the shade Ruby. It’s described as a mid-tone ruby red.
Lately I’ve been rocking on some of my favorite darker red and berry lipsticks and since you guys like the lip swatches I did on my previous posts. I thought I’d put a #LOTD in this post as well.
I gave it a whirl and boy look how pretty is this! It’s definitely ruby on my lips you guys. The formula goes on sheer and pigmented. It feels very comfortable on the lips. It’s save to say it qualifies for MLBB (My Lips But Better) lipstick. A smooth, sheer and satin shade that I think will look great on anyone this holiday seasons. You need to try Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color if you haven’t already.
Do let me know in the comment if you like to see this type of post again or just sprinkle in more luxury product reviews on my blog. Bear in mind that I’m by no means abandoning drugstore like that’s my happy place.
What do you think? Would you pick up this box? Let me know in the comments!

It’s officially Fall here in Canada and it also mean that my favorite season is finally here. We had a long summer this year and boy am I glad that it’s over. There’s only two things that excites me this time of the year. Yes, I’m talking about new fall makeup release and the holidays.
Recently, I was contacted by an agent and was asked if I was interested to test out some new makeup releases bySothys Paris and I immediately said yes. Fall always gets me excited and to talk you guys through some of the products I was sent, that’s even more awesome.
I received a package in my mail a week ago from Sothys Paris and when I opened it up to see all these goodies. I’m pretty sure my heart skipped a beat.
The Velvet Effect Lipstick in Rouge des Arts
First up I just want to talk about this gorgeous lipstick. I’ve a few Sothys Paris lipsticks in collection and they have the best matte lipstick I’ve ever own. I love love their classic red lipstick. They’re so beautiful and the formula is just out of this world. Imagine your lips being this beautiful and sophisticated.
I fell in love all over again the moment I lay my eyes on it. It comes in an elegant red velvet cloth packaging which I really appreciate. This protects it from scratching and dirt.
Granted, we know that lipstick doesn’t take much effort but a little luxury can definitely make a huge difference. A good lipstick makes you feel and look great. Won’t you agree? If you’re like me and you love wearing a good matte lipstick then you really need to try these.
This lipstick applies like no other creamy lipstick does. It glides on like a dream and the texture is super soft and smooth. It feels so comfortable on the lips, you won’t noticed wearing it. The finished result looks and feels fabulous. Check out on my instagram post to see how I wore it.
The shade Rouge des Arts is a an intense and seductive red and it’s one of those shades that I’d wear everyday and for the upcoming holidays. The texture is velvety smooth and richly pigmented with a beautiful matte finish. Your answer to a luxury lips!
Let me know which fall shade is your favorite?
The Cream Blush in Voile de Rose
Okay, I’m going to move on to blush. This is a seasonal cream blush that’s only available in one shade and it’s the Voile de Rose. The shade is described as an old rose with warm undertone. It comes in a very cute and elegant glass jar packaging.
This cream color blush is so amazing because it’s just so natural and honestly I would never apply creams without even looking into a mirror. That’s just how easy it is to use. You can literally just dab like so and you’re done. A little goes a long way with this.
Introducing the new and improved Smoky Eye Duo that includes a Smoky Eye Pencil and an Eye Contour Pencil in matching shades.
The first thing that I’m going to tell you about is this Smoky Eye Pencil and the shade I got is this amazing Zinc Grey. It’s a jumbo size crayon pencil that’s easy to work on. Just look at how pretty this shade is, I really like it a lot. It somehow reminds me of fall and winter.
Just look how pigmented it is. It’s waterproof, it’s a gorgeous grey and with a shimmer finish. Glides on so well without any tugging whatsoever.
Honesty, when they said iridescent, they mean it. This is like the most pigmented, creamiest and glorious pencil shadow I’ve ever used. Ahhh!!! These are so pigmented and long wearing. They’re just amazing!
The Eye Contour Pencil in Zinc Grey
When drawing a perfect line never been this easy. A retractable eye contour pencil that does it work at its best. I put this on my hands to swatch it once and I had a shower and I wash my face and it didn’t come off. Seriously it doesn’t budge. It’s waterproof!
Here are the two matching shades side by side on swatches.
I’m pretty much swarmed and so impressed by these amazing products and if you don’t see me on my blog, you know I’ll be spending my day dolling up.
So that’s everything that I got for you guys today and if there’s something from this brand that you feel that I really need to try please let me know in the comment down below. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and you found it helpful.

Hey everybody! Today’s post I went to Walmart actually and picked up two new products and I also got a new sample product from a PR company that I’ll talk later in this post. There was so much new makeup line actually but I just picked a few and I’m just going to jump right in.
I think it’s just time that we do our first impression with drugstore products. I haven’t done that in a minute here on my blog and so I wanted to that and share with your my thoughts. I hope you’re excited to see about them. Let’s go ahead and get started.
I just received this product in my mail on Friday and it gives me the opportunity to do my first impression of all the products on the weekend.
Here’s the FEATURES & BENEFITS:
This lightweight exfoliating cleanser with naturally-derived skin smoothers effectively removes dirt, oil and dry surface skin
Formulated with purified hyaluronic acid, it works to increase skin’s hydration level
Gentle enough for daily use
Available September 2017 at nationwide at food, drug and mass merchandisers and retail price at $9.99 – 12.99 CAD / 141 g depending on where you are located.
This Hydro Boost has white mini beads exfoliator in it. It smells really nice and fresh actually. The packaging is in a nice tube format with a white cap. It says on the back of the packaging that this product is Soap free, Oil Free, Paraben Free and Non-comedogenic. It also doesn’t contain plastic microbeads in case you’re curious.
I love the smooth, soft and not dried out feeling and not to mention how amazing it exfoliates and cleanses my skin. A new product that’s gentle to the skin, smells awesome and from a trusted drugstore brand you can trust.
Anyways, if hydration is the key to healthy-looking skin for you, then you definitely need to run to your nearest drugstore and get one now.
The formula also contains SPF 15 and is available in two shades, Light/Medium and Medium/Dark.
I like the shiny beige tube packaging with the bold pink lettering since it stands out to me the most.
This can be used alone or under foundation, I used this on it’s own and applied it just like a foundation, with a beauty blender because of it’s tinted formula. I would say the consistency is very much of a bb cream texture. It also smell pleasant too.
I used this all over my face and it just blend I can see that it immediately brightened up my skin and it gives me a lot of radiant actually as well. The coverage is light and it hasn’t gotten rid of any imperfections that I’ve on my face like some uneven skin tone. But as far as light basis I actually really like this. The creamy texture feels comfortable and lightweight on skin. The shade light medium matches my skin tone perfectly. My first impression is this product gives a sheer to light coverage and I would consider this more of a tinted moisturizer than a primer because of the coverage it gave. Since the coverage is sheer it would probably match a number of skin tones even with limited color choice.
At the end of the day, my thoughts is that I’m loving the glow, smell and longevity on the whole. It’s worth checking out if you’re looking for a skin tint that moisturizing and gives a natural but glowy finishing look. I recommend you try this!
Last but not least is the L’Oreal Color Riche Matte Lip Liner in Matte Stermind. The name might sound a little cheesy but the product is amazing. I feel in love with this lip liner the very moment I did color swatch as shown here and upon applying it on my lips. It’s so good, so creamy and so full color.
The tip is an old fashion skinny pencil sharpener lip liner. But the fact that it goes on easily and I can fill my entire lips with it, I’m happy.
It goes on velvety smooth and I love how opaque it looks on lips. It doesn’t tug or pull and it’s matte. This creamy matte lip liner is available in the range from nudes to bolds. I’ll be going back to pick a few brighter shades for the coming holidays. Don’t wait, this is a great product you don’t want to miss.
Have you tried any of this product? If yes which one and let me know what you think in the comment.
I hope this was helpful for you guys. Thank you so much for taking your time to read. I really appreciate it. Bye guys!
