Doing a mini haul is my one of my favorite past time! Many of you have requested for a haul post over my Instagram and this time I’ve decided to expand the haul not only on beauty products but sharing some additional picks over here.Today I’m talking all about my favorite picks for this summer. There are so many to choose from but below are some of my favorites!

Because I love trying out new and different scents of candles, I prefer a smaller glass jar where it’s convenient and you could place it wherever you want. Definitely try this scented candle out.

Playtime lingerie

Last but not least is a lingerie piece that I’ve been meaning to get since last spring. With this hot summer days, I couldn’t deny my love for tank top at this moment. A sexy but practical bralette to wear under any tops this summer. It’s unlined and it’s wireless. Most comfortable bra ever! I want to wear it on a daily basis so I’m definitely going back to pick up another one or two in different colors to match my outfits.

What I Got For Christmas 2017!

Happy New Year 2018 everyone!

Welcome to my first blog of 2018! I hope you had the most amazing break. It took me longer that I anticipated to kick start my blog after a long holiday. I called it recharging!

So, in today’s post I’m just going to show you what I got for Christmas. It’s just a bit of fun and I love to hear what other people get as well.

Yves Rocher Hand Cream

Well, I’m going to start with some hand creams I got. These are all things I got from my loved ones on Christmas. They’re pretty random stuff and that’s what I like about them.

A holiday edition Yves Rocher Hand Creams in four scents. If you haven’t heard about Yves Rocher, it’s a #1 Beauty Care brand in France. And in this gift set you get a Coconut, Mango Coriander, Bourbon Vanilla and Olive Petitgrain. They all smells amazing but the Olive Petitgrain is definitely my top favorite. It smells so good and so relaxing. I really like the floral scent!

The fragrances are pretty strong in a good way and they linger on for hours.

It feels like it definitely does what it says on the packaging – my hands feel hydrated, smooth, nourished and ready for the long cold weather. On top of that, it’s also paraben-free and they’re not tested on animals. What are you waiting for, dive into botanical sensoriality product line right now!

Tile Mate

Moving on to the next thing I got under the Christmas tree is this Tile Mate Key Finder by Infineon. You can get yours online at Amazon for only C$29.99 a pack.

Tile key finder

It’s smalll and thin which makes it easy to loop it on anything you don’t want to lose for example your phone, backpack, keys and so on. This is game changer, I used to be forgetful when it comes to where I leave my car keys, but everything changed after I installed this. So easy to use!

Tile Mate Infineon

It’s so easy to install. Use your smartphone to make your Tile Mate ring when it’s nearby but out of sight.

A smart device that allows you to find things at your finger tips. Don’t fall behind the bandwagon, join the largets lost and found network right now with Tile!

Everyone in my family knows I couldn’t go on my day without coffee in the morning. So what better gift to receive than a coffee mug that show the coffee production, right! I know it’s going to be my most favorite mug since my little boy chose it while they went shopping at Stokes. Thank you for this thoughtful gift. I love it!

Next thing I got is a Marseilles French Press by Stokes. The original price is C$14.99 but it’s on discount now for only $7.98 that’s close to 50% off. The description on their website says it’s crafted using plastic and borosilicate glass, this press will keep your freshly brewed coffee at its ideal serving temperature.

I haven’t got the chance to try this product yet but today feels like a good day to make my own freshly pressed coffee. I love the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning and I also like the sound of no one talking to me while I drink it!

You also GET 10% OFF YOUR FIRST ORDER when you sign up to receive their newsletter.

I save the best for the last and it’s the ASUS SonicMaster a gift I received from my hubby. Honestly, I don’t care much about notebook or laptop as long as it has a soft and comfortable keyboard to type on. I also like if the laptop is lightweight and easy to bring around not mention a nice and sharp widescreen LED with good sound effect.

My fingers are twitching to type on these keyboard after my hubby helps me installed all the programs and apps that I need for blogging.

As always thanks so much for stopping by and read. Hope you find this post interesting and helpful.

What’s the most random thing you got last Christmas? Share it in the comment below.

Top 5 Picks Of Things To Do Before 2018!

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another blog post. I know this sounds crazy but we can finally celebrate Christmas in less than five days depending on which part of the world you’re in. That’s insane! I’ve been thinking since we’re doing the countdown t the end of the year, it would be cool to think of things we can do together and accomplish before the year ends. To tick off a check mark on the list basically.

Here are the five things I personally wanted to do before the end of the year. You can join by sharing in the comments what are some of the things you like to do or have completed doing.

#1 is have a Spring Clean before the end of the year. This will set you up so nicely for the New Year. You’ll feel like the weight of past year is lifted off your shoulder. You’ll feel so fresh now that your house is so clean. I’m such a hoarder and I seriously need to go through some of my clothes, makeup, books and magazines etc… I keep putting this off because it’s such a big job but I really want to do something in December. I want to go through everything and give them to charity stores in my local area. I hope this inpires you to do the same. Donate to the needly or other people who you know would benefit from it more than you.

#2 is go to a Gallery or Exhibitions. I love art painting and always on the lookout for interesting exhibitions to go to. The last exhibition I went to was Marvels and Mirages of Orientalism at museum of fine arts. It was a french painter by the name Jean-Joseph Benjamin Constant. But there were some other famous painters in that gallery. I like going to galleries like so, I just allow myself being pulled into the art piece one by one. I like to come out of an exhibition feelng like I know more about someone in the world or something of the past. I love this kind of feeling! Just challenge yourself to find a gallery of exhibition this December.

#Roadtrip to Laurentian

#3 go on a Road Trip. Invite your family, close friends or your significant other to go on a road trip. I love going on a road trip and I think it’s so much fun. Drive to a city you’ve never been before and just chill out. Our recent road trip was a few months back in the fall and I’m planning on going to another one in December. So I’m really excited! I look so much forward to this. December is the best time to go out to see beautiful Christmas decorations, lights and all.

#4 go to a Cinema. This again could be very simple. It’s such an easy thing to do but not I personally am guilty of that. I love going to the cinema in my teenage years, it’s my favorite thing. My boyfriend used to take me to the cinema at least 2-3 times a month. It was so much fun. I love getting popcorns, I feel like cinema popcorns is the best, don’t you! I still love watching movies in the cinema after all these years and especially during Christmas where so many new movies are playing and some classics that’s so worth checking them out. It gets me in like that kind of festive mood which I love!

#5 take this time to reflect. I personally like to just be grateful for all the good and the bad that comes with it in 2017. So, don’t wait for tomorrow be thankful, grateful and be totally blessed today! I think December is a great time to kind of look back your life and jus think how great it’s been. It important for you as an individual to know how well you’ve done this year or what you’ve accomplished and appreciate your hard work. Don’t beat yourself up for things that you haven’t achieved this year. It’s okay, you can do it next year. That’s absolutely fine. Be grateful for all those things that you get to be doing.

Let me know just what you’re doing this month? I’d love to know from you. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and don’t forget to check back for the final series of #Blogmas Bag Monday #4. More new and exciting contents coming up after the holiday. Make sure you follow my blog to stay tuned!

Thank you so much for stopping by and read. I wish you a great week ahead!

Question Tuesday – A Funny Take on Valentine’s Day

Hey guys! What’s up bloggers! Yes, it’s February 14th and needless to say today is Valentine’s Day.

Love is in the air! The one thing I love about Valentine’s Day is that it’s not only a day to celebrate your love with your significant other, children, and family but also to yourself.

Q: So, what’s your plans to celebrate this special day?

A:  I’m going to stay away from restaurant (not because it $100 and it includes a rose and a complimentary Champagne toast!) but because I feel ain’t right to seeing table after table filled by other struggling couples who haven’t been out for a nice meal since the last Valentine’s Day.

Q: What’s your advice for single people on Valentine’s Day?

A: It’s been said that no one will ever love you until you learn to truly love yourself. And the best way to learn something is to teach it, so get out there and teach someone to love you! Then you will love yourself and they will love you, too, because you love yourself now that you’ve taught them to love you. Make sense?

Q: What’s the fun thing you do with your Valentine? And/or how will you celebrate Valentine’s day? Comment below if you’re alone or attached.

So, hun could we just stay home and get drunk!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Sharon xoxo

Book: #Bloombook – Self Discovery Journey

Hey guys! If you’re a fan of Estee Button aka Estee Lalonde then you would’ve probably heard of her first book “BLOOM” which was released about two months ago. Since it’s released I was very keen to grab a hold of her book. You could tell that I’m her fan, right!

She has two youtube channels with one called Everyday Estee which is a vlog and her youtube beauty channel is Estee Lalonde. Her beauty channel is where everything started.

I’m not ashamed to admitted that I’ve only learned about her youtube channel until last summer and I’ve been watching her vlog channel ever since.

I got this book as a Christmas gift from my daughter. She heard me talking about it and was pleasantly surprised when I opened it. Even though it’s not a signed copy, I’ll still treasure it for a long time to come.

Alright enough of my ramblings and let’s get to business. The front cover of her book is clean and direct to point. I would say this book bloom is very her. Why I said that! I think it’s her style and the way she talks and approach life if you watch her vlogs.

At first, when I read a few pages I thought it was a little too brief to my usual novel readings. It’s seems to me like it’s a summary of her life to youtube all compressed in this 247 pages book. Frankly, I find it quite astonishing! (in a good way).

What you can find in bloom are short chapters and some longer stories where she talks about work and female empowerment to name a few. The focus of this post for me to share my experience after reading her book. Don’t worry, I’m going to spoil the contents for you.

Thanks to Estee, I just learned that I’m a homebody myself which is not a bad thing at all. I do love travelling from time to time but most of the time, I love to be at home wearing with most comfortable clothing on earth (pjs) and with makeup or no makeup day. With my health problem, I’m kinda restricted to be doing crazy things I used to do before. Gone are those rat race times and crazy working hours. I didn’t miss it anymore. I find myself in solitude and peace that I couldn’t explain. It’s like I woke up one day with my perspective in place and all I’ve to do is just take the time to smell coffee.

Each chapters bring readers to how she leads her life from childhood memories to adulthood. It’s an interesting book where you could read on your bedside or when you’re commuting on the bus or train. It’s a light and easy reads!

To add an extra punch, she added some pastel color pages in her book to keep the readers glued. This is brilliant in my opinion.

I thought this is relevant to our connection of being a Canadian. In her own words how she describe to be Canadian – “Canadians have an internal mantra of live and let live”. I could relate to this.

From this book you would also find how she combats her social anxiety and coping with depression. Reading this book makes me reflect and think a lot of my past experiences both good and bad. I want to take on her challenge to speak and express more about myself here on the blog and what are the things that makes me bloom!

I recommend this book if you’re looking to find some inspiration book directly from an experienced youtuber. As I was drawn into my blogging world, I realized something from this book that helps me. I finally find my way home again. I love writing and am passionate about life. This book taught me to know no boundaries and sky is the limit.  My favorite phrase has to be “Following my heart!”

I hope that you too will find your true inner self or your calling to rise by lifting others.

You can order Bloom now if you want to read more about her self discovery journey. This is not a sponsor post or anything whatsoever, I’m sharing my love of this book and I really hope you’d love it as much as I did!

What do you think of this book? Have you read it already? What’s your take on this? Love to hear your comments in the section below.

Thanks for reading my rambles here on the blog. Have a great day, everyone!! [muah♥]

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Bye!

An Honest & Emotional Health Update

Hi guys! I mentioned in the previous post about my health and today I’m just going to sit down and update you guys a little of what’s happening behind the blog. I’ve some health and body issues for quite sometime now and it’s just don’t seems to be getting any better. I kept telling myself that I’m going to blog about it but for some reason I keep on postponing it. But then after talking to my doctor yesterday, I thought I just fill you guys on what has been going on, in today’s post.

I’m postponing it because I’m shy and nervous. I hope at the end of this post, you guys would comment positive and encouraging things to say to help me and others who are in this situation out. I feel so alone sometimes but reading your comments and reading your posts makes me less alone, if that make sense!

I had a chronic injury for awhile but since last year I started having new symptom which was so weird. It may be caused by my pain that makes me feel depressed. So now, I’ve two issues that need to be helped. I’m not going to touch on that too much because different people have their ways to cope with it. It just that recently, it gets a little more annoying and more frequent! There are days, where I just don’t feel like doing anything. And then the  good days is when I can crawl out from my bed to sit down and write reviews, my beauty favorites and beauty hauls.

I feel that for the past few weeks, it just getting harder for me to feel motivated and I’m sort of falling behind with tons of products waiting to be reviewed. I don’t want to add more stress in my already depressed situation so I’m planning to just blog as the day goes.

It’s not over yet but a great lifestyle change for me. I haven’t been myself the past many months. I can say that this a very challenging and difficult time for me. I also want to mention that it wasn’t also like this all the time as I said earlier. My depression is really like a yo-yo.

I’ll still try to plan my blog and write when I’m more myself. And I really really appreciate you guys for been patient with me. I hope this post will explain a little bit of what is going to be, moving forward on this blog. I’m hoping to be able to do the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday blog posts and Thowback Thursday. On other time, I’ll try to also focus more on posting instagram and snapchat where you guys can subscribe or follow me there.

So, sorry that I won’t be able to post Saturday blog for now since I want to spend some real quality time with family as well. Hope you can understand where I am.

Thanks a million for be an awesome friend and for taking the time to read! Hope you’ve a lovely weekend [muak].

This November there’s no rest for the weary. You know what I mean, right!

So, this year, for the whole month of November – every week on #Blogember Weekly Challenge, I’ll be sharing with you some very interesting prompt list/challenge.

The rules are pretty straight forward. All you’ve to do is to choose a topic out of the five below that resonates to you the most and write about it. You must also state “Blogember Weekly Challenge” and which # you’re doing for your blog. Then link back to this post.

Five November Weekly Prompts List:-

  1. A list of your favorite blog posts you’ve written.
  2. Introduce yourself however you like! Pics, vlog, collage, your choice 🙂
  3. Five things that bring you joy
  4. Fall favorites. Share your must-haves for this season.

Blogtober* Book Of The Week

Hi guys, today I’ll be sharing with you an extraordinary blog post I haven’t written before. But hey, if you continue reading- chances are there is extraordinary in the ordinary.

Everyone knows who Oprah Winfrey is. Unless you’re a big fan, though, you may not have heard of a book she has written, called What I Know For Sure. I used to watch her TV Show and I must admit that I really like and admire her for example her fortitude, her charisma and the way she carry herself.

I saw this book and thought, meh, why not? And let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

As I was spending my weekend catching up with my reading with this book on hand “What I know For Sure” by Oprah Winfrey, all the emotion from each essay  struck right to the core of my being. It was emotional and yet empowering. It’s a great book to have by your bedside. Pick it up or put it down.

Today, I’m going to share a few phrases of her essay that speaks the most to me.

What I know for sure is that giving yourself time to just be is essential to fulfilling yourself as a human being. So, I give myself Sundays. I’ll be in pajamas all day or go to church. Most times, I just do nothing and let my brain and body decompress.

What I know for sure is that I hope you aren’t s wrapped up with the non-essentials stuff that you forget to really enjoy yourself, because this moment is about to be over. I hope you’ll look back and remember today as the day you decided to make every one count. When you get the chance to sit it out or to dance, I hope you dance.

I know for sure – if you make time for a little gratitude every day, you’ll be amazed by the results.

After reading her book, if you’re anything like me, it’ll have you asking yourself a lot of questions. Am I falling into the same traps? Am I truly happy, or am I lying to myself? Is my life heading in the right direction?

Really, it made me ask myself whether I am being completely true to myself.

Me: What I know for sure that time waits for no one. Get up, keep moving. Full speed ahead. When I look myself in the mirror, the reflection of a young girl is no more. The one standing is a middle age woman staring back. “As I reached another milestone in humility, utmost thanksgiving and joy. Knowing for sure that grace has brought be safe this far and grace will lead me home”.

I’m not going to spoil it for you guys, so, it’s better if you read this book yourself. What I want you to know is that it’s more blessed to give than to receive. I think it’s also a lot of more fun. I’m sure many of you could relate. Nothing makes me happier than a gift well given and joyfully accepted. I give as I feel.

As this post comes to an end… I want you to do the same and start giving.

Now, are you blessed? What do you know for sure? Tell me what’s your highest achievement? Share your thoughts in the comment section. I love to read your answers.

Many thanks to all who have stick around and my heartfelt gratitude for the encouragements and inspiring comments that keeps me going. I truly appreciate that.

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and I can’t wait to see you again on the next one. Bye!

Sharon xoxo
