Welcome back to Question Tuesday! Today’s post is not beauty related but health therapy. I’ve been thinking what else would be fun in the fall besides apple picking, hay rides, Halloween and pumpkin spice.

So, I got this question that has been popping up my mind recently. Oh well,  am I speaking out loud?

Q: What do you find is therapeutic for you guys? In the comment section below let me know what you find therapeutic.

A: Could it be cleaning and mopping the floor, playing your animal friend, spa, relaxing in a aromatic bath, facial massage, exercise, snap chat, twitting, arranging flowers or gardening, listening to music etc … I personally find making flower arrangements makes me very relaxed and peaceful. I can feel my stress level decreases and it’s feels so great.

I love to hear your comments. So, don’t forget to share!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment.

The packaging itself is sleek and elegant. Purple with white gold trim and Tarte icon on the casing.

I haven’t picked up this Tartelette yet but I know that it’s already available at Sephora and Tarte online since November 21. I thought it’s a good time to share this awesome matte eyeshadow palette to all my beauties.

It’s selling for $44.00 with the net wt: 0.64 oz.

It has twelve beautiful shades that will blow your socks off. The shadow pan is bigger than the Naked 3 palette and it has huge mirror. Love the beautiful neutral color tones that looks so pretty and I just can’t wait to get hold of this palette.

If you are a big fan of matte eyeshadow like me, then maybe we can all match in together to grab this Tartelette.

Anyways, I hope you find this post helpful and interesting.

Leave comment whether if you would pick this Tartelette for Spring?

As usual, thank you for reading.

elf Mineral Face Primer ~ First Impression

Hey guys! I’ve got this Elf mineral face primer for quite sometime now and I haven’t really got the chance to talk about it. It was stacked under with my other makeup stuff which I have totally forgotten about it. Good news is that I found it while clearing my makeup bag. So, I tried it yesterday and wow… it’ unbelievably impressive.

elf face primer

I found the receipt where I got it. I picked it up from Target for $8.00 (net wt: 0.49 oz) in Clear. There were 3 other colors available to pick with each having it’s own different functions. For example the light purple/mauve will cancel out the sallow tones for studio perfect look while subtle pink can brighten a dull complexion.

I love how smooth and airy this face primer is. It feels silicone-y when applied which is a nice feeling. Let’s not confuse the word “silicone” and “silicon” though. Face primer is formulated to smooth uneven skin texture. It also helps to minimizes the appearance of pores.

This ELF face primer came in a frosted translucent glass bottle packaging. I really like the sleek look of the packaging. On top of that, it comes with a pump applicator which I think is brilliant

elf mineral primer

I just need to pump several times on the component for the primer liquid to come out. The silky soft texture is amazing when I applied it on. The upside of this primer is that it does the job well for the price I paid for. Managed to gives a silky smooth and evenly long lasting satin finish before I apply my foundation.

elf primer

This is my first time using a mineral face primer but so far I’m liking it. I don’t think I will wear it for everyday makeup since I like to have my makeup done in 5-10 minutes. But I will definitely wear them when there is a special occasion.

So, I hope you like my first impression and catch up with you guys later.

What other face primer have you use, which I am missing out? Do tell in comment below.

As always, thank you for reading

Visible Lift Smooth Absolute by L’oreal

Happy Saturday friends!

Today, I really wanted to talk about foundations. I have been trying many different foundations and some had successfully becomes my favorites. I picked this L’oreal lift smooth foundation because it was on discounted price and I really like the nice packaging.

l'oreal visible lift smooth absolutel'oreal visible lift

It has a silky brush attached to the bottle and dispense the formula while twisting the base. The brush makes it quite handy to bring anywhere but the cons is that it’s difficult to clean the brush after used. Meaning after a few uses it might becomes gunked-up brush that gives streaky application the next time.

foundation brush 170 natural beige

The liquid formula will ooze out from the brush after a few twisting and turning on the base. Then I just apply it directly onto my skin and blended it with the brush. This formula goes evenly. It gives a nice dewy finish that’s soft, luminous but not shinny. It’s good for all skin type except oily skin. My skin does feels light and the finishing was incredible. Love this product.

This foundation has a medium coverag but yet what’s impressive is that it’s feels so skin-like. The good news is that it can be built up to full coverage without looking cakey and depending on how much to apply. It so lightweight and seems like not wearing any foundation at all.

There were eight impressive shades from fair to medium to pick. It has a long lasting wear for hours without it turning orange and there’s not sign of fading when wearing this foundation. It’s selling for $15.95 online.

I would recommend it to anyone who loves the feeling of skin-like foundation on their skin. I have tried many different foundations and I really love this one.

Have you tried any drugstore foundations which pleasing to you?

Thank you for reading.

Cracked Face! Halloween Makeup Look!!!

Hey guys! We’re always trying to find our next best Halloween costume. If you’re wanting to try something different this halloween like myself then please scroll down more to see how I did my cracked face makeup idea.

Halloween is just few days away and I thought what better time to do this halloween makeup look.

halloween disguise scary halloween face halloween face (2)

I did this look because I’m excited for halloween day. So, this is just my idea  to bringing up my halloween makeup to the next level.

For this look. I wear a Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in True Beige 203. The color is pale enough for this look. Then I proceeded to draw a thicker eyebrow and liner using Bonnebelle eyeliner but I just draw it thicker for a bolder look. Next is the NYX shadow in Orange shade where I apply it underneath my eyes. Last is using the Essence eyeliner and I create the pen lines all over my face and the scar. Lips, I wore the same orange eyeshadow by tapping it on.

Hope you guys like this and find it interesting.

Let me know what will you be wearing this Halloween?

Thanks for reading. Oyasuminasai!!! (goodnight!!!)

Figs & Rouge Hand Cream Review – Ipsy bag October Beauty Candy

Hi guys, today I’ll be sharing with you my first review on my Ipsy bag goodies which is the Pure & Natural Hand cream by Figs & Rouge in Rose Berry. I was disappointed at first with the size of the other items which were sample size but this one came in a regular size.

figs and rouge hand cream

I love this floral print tube packaging and it has it’s unique charm. It has a strong scents of rose berry smell but once applied on hand it faded away. It feels like water texture when I applied it on my hands. It doesn’t cause any stickiness or greasy feeling. This cream is very light and soft on hands.

I got mine in Rose Berry and I believe there are some other beauties who might got theirs in Mango & Mandarin. Besides Rose Berry they also have it in two delicious scents of Vanilla Pistachio and Mango & Mandarin. On the website it’s selling for $6.56. I’ll put a link below.

I honestly think that it’s a good product for a hand cream especially having made with pure and natural ingredients. They also have 100% organic balm which I feel is incredible. For the price it is of a steeper end but I will get some of their makeup products once I save enough and this I will put in My Wish List.

Hope this explains this fabulous hand cream which nourishes hands and cuticles.

Have you tried any of the Figs & Rouge makeup products before?

As usual, thank you for reading.

Top 5 Tuesday Favorite Foundations

top 5 fave foundations
It’s a beautiful day and I really wanted to talk more about some of my current Top 5 Tuesday Favorites in makeup categories. To start off with, I think Ill do the foundations which I got from drugstores and retail stores. When it comes to foundations, I own more drugstores foundations than high ends. Why is that, I’m not sure.  I prefer to think that I like to pick up foundation that I can share my experiences here with all of you. I don’t owned a lot of foundations but it’s piling up in my makeup box for sure. I’ll be going all out to hunt and trying getting more different foundations to share my thoughts.

As you can see I have included 2 higher end foundations, one in serum gel and the other in mineral formula.
top 5 color swatches
Here are the color swatches I made earlier today to show how the texture were from the packaging. I really like all these shades that actually complement my skin tone perfectly.
The darkest shade is the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse on the farthest left swatch. I love this as it’s so feathery light and it blends so well, giving a lovely medium coverage finish. I picked up the mousee foundation in Honey Beige (4) shade for this.

Next up is the Ahava Mineral Makeup on the 2nd left swatch. This is a special foundation which I really like since it’s light on skin with sheer-average natural finish look. Ahava has a limited color choice and the one I picked was the Terra Dark.

Next is the L’oreal Visible Lift in Honey Beige (155). This shade seems to have a little bit peachy color tone which dressed my warm  undertone amazingly. Love the medium coverage and the smoothness it gives. The good thing about this formula is that it allows layering up for full coverage.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum has a paler color swatch but that’s like the 3rd darkest from their selection of 6 shades. I picked mine  in Dark Beige (55). Love the texture and the 16 hour radiance booster it claims. I’m definitely loving the scents of these fruity formula that gives instant anti-fatigue.

Finally to my top 5 favorite Revlon Age Defying foundation in Honey Beige (35).  It has 12 color shades selections to choose. It’s fragrant free and The texture blends so well and it has lovely medium coverage. My skin does looked more radiant with slight natural glow finish.

That’s it for this week’s Top 5 Tuesday Fave foundation and I hope you find it helpful and interesting.

What drugstore foundation are your favorites? Am I missing out on any good ones?
Thanks for stopping by.

Flawless BB Cream by Body Shop

Tea Tree BB Cream  body shop bb cream

The Body Shop ~ Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream  in Dark shades

Today, seems like a good day for me to share some information on what I read about BB cream. The trend seems to have started from Korea in 1990’s but was founded some 50 years ago by a German Doctor for the sole purpose of covering scars. From my understanding BB cream was recommended by dermatologist to cover the scars and help heal the skin. But I guess it went saturated and so we have all the creams from A-E.

BB cream was one of the hottest trends in the beauty industry last year and it doesn’t seems to stop there. Clearly catching onto the alphabetization theme, then came CC cream, even DD cream and now EE cream which were just launched by Estee Lauder recently. That was  the newest EE cream = Enlighten Eye effect skin tone corrector SPF30. So, all these creams have become popular simply because the demand was there.

I am also among the people who are using BB cream in order to get a quick fix on my face before putting up makeup.

Tea TRee BB Cream texture bb cream by body shop BB cream swatch

The BB cream formula and color swatch. 3 available shades of Light, Medium & Dark

Are you wondering what my favorite BB cream is? First of all, it’s important to analyse my skin tone type and preference on choosing my BB cream which might be different from yours. I have dry skin and so I will prefer to choose a dewy finish with natural coverage and light texture. I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing it at all.

Finding a right BB cream can be a challenge. It has to fit just right. I have tried many BB creams and finally I found my true love with this Tea Tree Flawless BB cream by The Body Shop. It hits all the criteria I mentioned and I love wearing it.

The formula has a darker tint but when I apply and blend them in, the color just don’t looked so dark on skin. Last time I check, my face and neck has the same color tone (photo below). Yay!!!  True that it doesn’t have full coverage but I’m fine with it as long as it covers some of my uneven skin and that it gives a dewy finish.

The texture is a little bit more liquid-y than the Korean BB cream which are much thicker.  As for this Tea Tree BB cream I can feel the cooling and relaxing effect from this amazing cream. Also the smells are just so wonderful.

As for the price, I paid $15.00 for it and with the special offer of Buy 3, Get 2 Free promotion at the Body Shop, it’s a good bargain.

So, overall I like this Flawless BB cream very much and will continue to wear it and planning to get a lighter shade for winter since my color tone changes and also to catch the promotion while it lasts.

What is your favorite BB cream you are wearing?

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Sharon xoxo
