Walmart Beauty Haul & Review

Hey guys! What would you do if you’re a beauty addict! Beside shopping online, admittedly I also have a thing or two of shopping in brick and mortar stores. My doctor advises me to walk more and to go out more, so shopping is sort of my way to exercise.

My walk ended at Walmart beauty aisle and finding the satisfaction to feed my addiction of buying more makeup products. Seriously this has to stop or someone has to send me to some beauty rehabs. LOL!

But since it’s too late for that, I might as well show you guys what I picked while I was there.

Ever since I saw this on the internet I’m obsessed with getting the new Infallible Paints Eyeshadow by L’Oreal Paris. I grabbed a few shades from their collection to share it for you guys.

But the color that spoke to me the most are Navy Yard and Sunset Fire. The pink, coral and orangy shades definitely scream spring while the navy blue could be used on the outer corner or a dramatic bold look. I’m so glad to have the chance to play with these lovely colors.

L’Oreal Infallible Paint Eyeshadow is a new double-ended cream eyeshadow stick that contains two shades which can be mixed, matched, or worn individually that launched with the L’Oreal Spring 2017 Collection. It’s a cream shadow format very similar concept as the lip color/lip paint. FranklyI really like the creamy texture and the finishing.

The packaging is quite nice as it holds two shades each of which has its own sponge applicator for applicator. The shades are complimentary to each other but a little difficult to wear together at times. The creamy formula is little bit runny consistency that makes blending so easy. When it comes to pigmentation, I think they’re doing alright. The color doesn’t have the best pigmentation but it’s totally buildable for best results.

I want to conclude that the wear is fantastic and I think oily lid users will be quite happy. The color didn’t fade nor did it crease in a 8 hour period that I wore them (some days I had a shade on for 10 hours). They also remove easily which is also nice.

Moving on, I’ve yet another product from L’Oreal and it’s the Visible Lift Blur Blush. I’ve heard of this from beauty gurus and finally jumped on the bandwagon. I’ve the shade Soft Peach which I believe is the first shade from this line. The setback is that you only have 3 color choices to pick.

I might say that it’s lightweight and almost mousse-like texture to it. On application, I feel it has those silicon-y texture close to a face primer. It’s so easy to apply and perfect for spring/summer beach vacation. A little goes a long way with this blush. Just a little squeeze is all you need to apply on your cheekbones.

As much as I like this lightweight and easy to blend blush, let me just say this blush doesn’t come entirely cheap. I paid $16.99 for this bad boy.

Okay, I promise this is the last product from L’Oreal in this haul. It’s not a new product but on contrary it’s a product that has been around for awhile and I keep collecting them till this day. I’m not doing a review on the Color Infallible Eyeshadow since I’ve done that over in my older post which I’ll put a link here.

unnamed (3)

I’ve been obsessed with Sally Hansen‘s Miracle Gel Color Coat for the past few months. So without a doubt, I went back to pick up two more shades which I really like. I got them in the shades Camo Queen and Twiggy. Speaking from my experience, Sally Hansen’s miracle gel completely ticks all the boxes for me. They’ve a huge color selection which is a plus in my book. I like that it’s quick and easy to apply and furthermore, there’s a nice thick brush that comes with it.

I was excited to try the color Twiggy the moment I got home. I shared a picture of my #NOTD on my Instagram if you like to check it out.

I don’t have a gel lamp at home but happy to say that I’ve them on my fingers for the last 5 days and still going strong without any chip. They looked absolutely gorgeous and lasted fairly well as far as nail polish with me goes! I’m usually fairly messy and not the best at painting my own nails but I found the size and thickness of the brush is perfect for covering the whole nail with minimal product getting onto my skin. For this look, I’m wore two coats and it comes out quite opaque. Loving this Miracle Gel polish, I didn’t what I was missing then.

With summer drawing near also means vacation time for us here. I’ve a few short trip planned this summer. This spring/summer-like weather made me want to run out for a fresh mani and pedi. I just love having a pretty set of freshly painted fingers and toes!

Then I saw this Nail Polish Remover Wipes by Avanti which I think will come quite handy because when it comes to removing nail polish, the process becomes considerably less fun especially when I’m on the road. I’m also a sucker for cute and unique packaging so this comes right home with me.

It holds 30 wipes and it’s acetone free whichever that means. It’s my first time trying it so I’m guessing the formula with non-acetone is less harsh on the nails but then again I could be wrong.

Last but not least is a random product I purchased by impulse. I just couldn’t resist the cute packaging and design. I justify it by finding a good home for my pills. Look how pretty the blue diamond is on this silver container. I’m obsessed with everything in silver! It’s a win-win!

What do you think of all these beauty haul? Which is your favorite? Don’t forget to comment below.

Walmart Beauty Haul

Hey guys! What’s up you guys! Yes, I’ve started beauty shopping again after a while of winter hibernation. So, my first stop is at Walmart. I picked up a few interesting beauty products that I’m very excited to show you guys.

I don’t want this blog to be too long so let’s get started.

Wet n Wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette

When I first saw it at Emily Noel‘s youtube channel, I’ve been eyeing this since then. As this is Walmart’s exclusive line, I’m all over the moon when I saw it at Walmart. I grabbed these two lovely shades in Nude Awakening and Bare Necessities. Both have amazing color selections with one palette more matte and pinkish than the other.

Elf Blending Sponge

If you’ve been following my blog you know that I’m a sucker for anything cute, so this is something that caught my eyes on the ELF‘s counter. I love a good blending sponge and I’m pretty excited to try out how this one fairs.

Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation

I picked up this Maybelline Cushion foundation in the shade 20. I’m light to medium so, I’ll be trying out to do a color match and test on the formula. I’ve shared a photo of this cushion foundation on my Instagram when it first landed at my local drugstore. I wasn’t too sure if I need another cushion foundation since I still have and love my old favorite, the Physician formula ones. But last week, I decided to pick it up anyways since I feel like spendy and also to do a product review for you guys.

So, ya here it is.

As much as I love my cushion foundation by Physician Formula I thought it would be good to give this product a try. I’ve tried many of Maybelline‘s foundation before and I will have to say I liked them all and so I’ve high expectation on this one. Hope it won’t disappoint.

Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-In-1 Foundation + Concealer

The next product I got is also a foundation. Something is definitely wrong with me. It could be the weather, I don’t know. But as if one foundation is not enough, I picked another and this time it’s by Milani. This one I’ve justification since I’ve been wanting it the moment I saw it floating around the internet. So, when I saw  it at my Walmart, I’m like just take my money. I’m sold!

I got the shade in Medium Beige and I’m very excited to test out the color match and the performance of this foundation + concealer. You guys know that I’m not a very big fan of high coverage foundation because I prefer a natural look with BB Cream but I heard so many people raved about it and so I got to try it.

Milani Powder Blush

And I also picked up something that I’ve been longing to try from Milani since it was first launched. My Walmart doesn’t carry a huge collection of Milani’s makeup products and when I saw this available last week. I grabbed not only one but two of these cute blushes. And yes, it’s their Tea Rose Powder Blush and I also have the shade in Romantic Rose since they’re both so insanely pretty.

Purederm Deep Cleansing Peel-Off Mask (Cucumber)

When I saw this peeling mask, I told myself that I need it.I like the feeling of peeling dry glue when I was a kid and this brings me back to childhood time. There are 5 masks for $7.97 at Walmart. You can also find it on Amazon and Ebay. This product is made in Korea and it’s cruelty free.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy in Sheer Nirvana

Honestly, this is the most expensive nail polish I ever own from a drugstore brand. I saw Amelia Liana talking about the Gel Miracle polish in their Rustic Charm collection. But I decided to pick this Color Therapy line because I just adore this shade so much. I did a color swatch and #NOTD (on my instagram) if you care to check them out. The shade is so girly and pretty. Love, love it! Sheer Nirvana is such a summery color and I really don’t care what season to wear it. I can see myself wearing this over and over!

L’Oreal Doutzen Collection Exclusive in Douzten’s Nude

The last time I checked on the weather, I heard spring will come early this year. I’ve been seeing a lot of new spring color launched on the nails department that I makes me to check them out. Among other shades, this one calls out to me the most. I tried it at the counter and this is definitely my go to spring color nails. I really like this color. It’s a nice mauvy-nude that will be perfect for the season and also for office wear. If you want to see the color swatch, don’t forget to follow me on my instagram for updates.

L’Oreal Evercreame Sulfate-Free Intense Nourishing Shampoo

Last but not least, I’ve a hair product from L’oreal Hair Expertise and it’s their Evercreame Sulfate-Free Intense Nourishing Shampoo.

This shampoo smells amazing and the price is not too bad for a 8.5 fl oz products. I can smell the lovely fresh scents of camelina flower and it’s 100% vegan. It says here that it’s for dry to very dry hair. Well,  I don’t have a very dry hair now but I do have a thick hair. So, I’ll try this and will keep you guys updated if I like it.

So, that’s about it on my Walmart beauty haul this round and I’ll keep you posted on my new series of “Which one won?”. Don’t forget to stay tuned!

Let me know which product you like me do a review on first in the comment. I like to hear what you say.

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope to see you again on the next one. Bye for now!

Aveeno Huge Beauty Haul

Hi guys!

If you regularly read my content, you know by now I spend an extraordinary amount of time bathing. I may not wash my hair every single day but you better believe when I tell you that I’m going to spend some time in  my shower or bath. It’s how I unwind basically!

*Press Samples

On the days that have been slightly on the rough side, I’ve been reaching for a comforting body wash that is creamy, warming, and enveloping—like a hug from my honey bear.

So today, I’ve rounded up the best Beauty Haul by Aveeno that will hold up throughout your Thanksgiving feast. Yes, I’m talking about beauty skin products which was sent to me by Aveeno for considerations. As you may know, Aveeno is a personal favorite brand of mine and I’m pretty excited to try these products and more than excited to share them here.

So let’s get started.

Here are the latest in Aveeno huge beauty haul: Enjoy!

  1. Pure Renewal Shampoo
  2. Pure Renewal Conditioner
  3. Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion
  4. Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion
  5. Stress Relief Body Wash
  6. Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Bath
  7. Moisturizing Bar
  8. Neutrogena Men Invigorating Face Wash
  9. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne
  10. Neutrogena Stubborn Acne Spot Gel
  11. Neutrogena All in One Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes

The first thing I want to talk about is their Calming & Comfort Lotion in lavender and vanilla scents.

This lotion is designed to help calm babies and I would definitely wanted to use it for my little one before bedtime. Sleep is important but a good night sleep for me is everything. I’m sure a lot of mommy out there could agree!

These are all amazing products for anytime of the year and especially for those who have going to spend your hours prepping and cooking for Thanksgiving. The stress relief foaming bath and moisturizing lotion are something to help unwind and relax after the long day. One thing I can tell you is that they definitely have everyone in mind when they sent me products for baby and men in the family.

Aveeno Stress Relief Foaming Bath in lavender, charmomile and ylang-ylang oils. With thanksgiving and the big holiday approaching fast, I got stressed up just by thinking of the holiday. Shopping lists and Christmas preparation could be overwhelming sometimes.

Luckily, I’ve some stress relief to help me through the holidays. I can’t wait to get into the tub for a nice and relaxing bath.

I know that this product will made it’s way into my daily routine since Christmas holiday is usually hectic and I can imagine myself using this a lot to unwind. It says on the bottle that it hydrates for 24 hours and I’m intrigued to put this to the test. Let me know if you would like me do a post review on the comment section.

Another plus is that since we’re not spared from colder winter – lots and lots of moisturizer is necessary! Your skin is going to thank you later for it.

If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’m a huge fan of body wash. I went through body wash very quickly. I’m very excited to try this stress relief body wash and see if it really works. I’ll report back for update in my next post. Don’t forget to stay tuned!

The body wash is formulated with lavender and chamomile which from what I heard is that lavender has the aromatherapy properties to help on stress relief.

Moving on is the Aveeno Baby Calming and Comfort Bath. I love the scents of lavender and vanilla. It’s so refreshing and soothing without going overboard. I’ll have my little boy try this bath product. He loves a good bath even in autumn and gets to play with the bubbles. I know that he is going to like it but I want to see his reaction to this product.

This might be TMI but in case you don’t know, I wash my hair every 2 other days. I haven’t tried any hair products from this brand, so yes I’m quite excited with the prospect. I’m happy to see that their Pure Renewal shampoo and conditioner are made for all hair types. That’s cool!

Let’s talk packaging. I really like the long green cylinder tube. It makes storing so much easier and convenient. It’s not too bulky or heavy. A good amount of products with amazing scents to it. They’re in full size samples and honestly, I was really blown away.

I know that I’ll be busy testing out most of the products by myself and will have my hubby try the product for men. I’ll do a separate product review once I’ve tried them. These are all products that I know I’ll be reaching out for when the holiday gets closer.

Next on the list is an interesting product which I’m dying to have my hubby try is this Invigorating Face Wash. He is not very interested in this department but I’m going to convince him to try it out anyways. I’m excited to hear what his thoughts are which then I’ll update right back once I got his feedback.

Makeup Removing Face wipes are one of the most important beauty must-haves for festivals and a little pocket-sized pack like this is perfect for travelling too. You get 25 wipes which is a good quality and talk about product that actually work. Well, this I could confirm it works because I’ve tried and love it!

Next is the Moisturizing Bar for Dry Skin. It contains natural colloidal oatmeal that combat dry and itchy skin. This soap would be great to use for winter season. I don’t usually use soap on my body but for you guys, I’m going to try it and let you know what I think next.

Last but not least, I want to show you Neutrogena Daily Leave on Mask and Spot Gel for Stubborn Acne. I’ve been lucky to have some good skin days in the summer but with the weather turning colder, my skin tends to be acting up. I’ll definitely be wearing this once I spotted a bad skin day.

These are a couple of drugstore gems that you got to check them out. They’re a prefect addition for my winter skin, hair and facial routine. All the products mentioned, you could find them at any drugstores, Walmart, Target US, CVS and on Aveeno’s website.

What do you think guys? Will you be checking these out soon? Comment below your reply. I love to read your comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

Drugstore Cruelty Free Makeup Haul – E.L.F. Hit & Misses

Hi guys, today I’ve a few drugstore cruelty free makeup haul for you. I purchased all these stuff and then I said oh!!! it’s time to do a haul and I’m freaking excited! Really, really excited!

There’s quite bit of products I have picked up from Walmart. Yes, aren’t they’re gorgeous! Since the day our Walmart has E.L.F.Cosmetics I’ve been insanely obsessed to get all their stuff. It’s so fun to do a haul. I got many requests to do the E.L.F. makeup products so this is so exciting.

So, I’m going to go ahead and jump into everything.

The shade from (L-R) : Ain’t That Sweet (pinkish), Wine Pot (burgundy wine) and Crush Chic (gold bronze).

Look how cute these smudge pots are. It comes in a clear transparent glass pot and this is so cool. I’m loving it now and I’m going to continue trying them.

These are some gorgeous E.L.F. Smudge Pots. Absolutely stunning! Look how pigmented they are. The first moment I opened up this Crush Chic, I knew I was going to love it. It’s so so pretty!

I love the shades and the formula. Crush Chic would be perfect for the coming holiday. Wine Pot is amazing for fall and Ain’t That Sweet for everyday eye makeup. It’s like they got us covered the whole year round.

The next thing I want to talk about is this Blush in Mellow Mauve.

When showing it on picture is gorgeous but when in person it’s amazing. There’s a little of shimmer in it but I’m going to try it out for a little more before I share my thoughts and opinion on this one. I’m going with the thought of going back and forth with this blush. Everything here is so smooth and pigmented. I just can’t get enough of this. One apparent thing I notice is that it allows you to layer for more depth without looking cakey or clown-y.

Moving on to the next item I got is the Perfect Finish HD Powder in a compact packaging. It comes in a duo layered tier with a decent mirror on the cover. I would recommend this one if you don’t like the loose powder format. The texture is very lightweight and super soft on touched. I can tell you that I like it but not love. I think I’m going to use it a little bit more before I give my final thoughts.

Next thing I want to talk about is this beautiful packaging E.L.F. High Definition Powder in Sheer.  This is studio line product on E.L.F.

It doesn’t necessary have the largest impact when you put if on your face. It really need to take time to test it out for a longer time.

This is the packaging. It’s a matte black old box. It’s a square shape with twist off top. This is a everyday sheer highlighter. These are pigmented and so soft. Very lightweight. It’s intended to be used as finishing powder basically and that’s how I’ve been using it. I want it to be clear it’s not a shimmery shinny product. It’s like a soft natural finish.

I prefer to use a big fluffy powder brush to apply, but sometimes use the puff that comes with it to pat on areas that need extra attention. My only complain is the packaging. It gets very messy after you lift up the sticker. The plastic sifter will get messy.  If you’re not super careful there will be powder EVERYWHERE. I personally is not a big fan of this honestly. It’s so messy and wasteful. I’m just being honest!

Next is this gorgeous Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette by E.l.f Cosmetics. You guys know that I’m obsessed with eyeshadow palettes and you know that I’ll keep on going back to get more palettes every time I see them. I seriously need someone has to chain me down (jk). I don’t I’ll ever stop buying eyeshadow palettes ever. I love all the shades and this Mad for Matte was screaming my name.

If you’re in the market for an affordable and good quality eyeshadow palette, I highly recommend this. It housed 10 amazing neutral matte shadows that suits any skin color. If you’re a beginner to makeup, this palette is a must have. It’s nicely pigmented and it long wearing. The shadows are true to its color and a little goes a long way. The packaging is slim and sleek. Love it!

This is it!

Now I’m going to talk about something I don’t really liked. And it’s the Baked Eyeshadow Palette in California. This is unfortunately a miss because the formula is not long lasting and it takes a lot of work to blend. It’s also very dry and packed with metallic powder with fall out. I just wanted to try them out for you guys but I was having difficulty to apply them on my lids.

So instead, I did some swatches as shown below- I picked the products using my fingers and these are done with a single swipe directly from the pan to my bare hand. They’re insanely shimmery and metallic looking finishing. The pigmentation looks decent unless you use it wet. I tried using them dry which doesn’t show up anything. I really like the shades in the palette but this is just a miss for me.

baked eyeshadow .jpg

I really want to like it but nope this isn’t working for me.

So, that’s all for my haul today. I think it’s safe to say that we all agree that Elf prices just can’t be beat. It’s so difficult to find the balance between quality and price. You know what I’m saying! You got to give some credit to Elf, they’re always creating new things.

What do you think guys? Will you be checking these out soon? Comment below your reply. I love to read your comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and I can’t wait to see you again on the next one. Bye!

Walmart Beauty Haul – #Octoberhaul

Hey everybody! How’s it going? Yes, it’s the second week of October and I was in the mood to do another beauty haul this month. I got good response from the last Walmart Beauty Haul Under $5 that I decided it was time to switch things up and try something new like doing more beauty hauls posts. I’m going to it my #Octoberhaul blog.

So, ya let’s start.

So yes, I’ve been shopping at Walmart quite a bit since they started carrying E.L.F cosmetics beauty products. They got almost everything there from grocery to fashion, toys, home decor to beauty under one roof. It’s kind of a perfect destination to spend on a Saturday afternoon, really!  I know I could go on and on but you’re here to see beauty haul and let’s jump in.

I got a few products that I’m excited to try and some are my repeat buys. I like them and would repurchase whenever the urge of my makeup addiction sparks. Who else does this?

First thing I wanted to talk about is the most loveable lip cream by Hard Candy ever. If you’ve been following my blog, you might’ve seen the review post which I’ll link it here. I’m in love with this Velvet Mousse lip cream. The texture is so soft and it goes on smoothly. I particularly love how velvety it makes my lips look. Love the high pigmentation and I kid you not, they’re long lasting.

This is in the shade Daffodils and I did I mentioned that I love a good matte lip cream? You just pop it on your lips and you’re good to go. It feels lightweight and comfortable on lips. I didn’t notice any feeling of the stickiness or gunky feeling at all. This is the third shades I’ve picked up so far. We’re in the fall season now and I’m excited to expand my horizon to the darker side of the spectrum.

This brown toned velvet mousse is my favorite color to wear especially this time of the year. They’re so cute and I feel like I could wear it the whole fall. The packaging is cute and the doe foot applicator amazeball. I love this thing! Uhhhh!!!  Can’t get enough of this.

Another product I want to share here is the Flower Beauty Eyes on the Prize Eyeshadow Chubby in the shade Olive My Love. It was on liquidation for $2.50 and if you see this at your local Walmart in Canada, I recommend this if you like Eyeshadow Chubby pencils a lot go get them before they’re all gone.

I’m afraid this was the last makeup product left from Flower Beauty at my local Walmart. Almost all had been picked up and they’re all gone.

Anyways, in case you don’t know me, I’m a person who loves collecting unique packaging and limited edition beauty products. I know you might not care but just to put it put there in case you want to know.

So, when I saw this chubby pencil I thought, I want to keep this as a momento and also to do a review after I’ve tried it. I was too excited to do a color swatch which I did, and I’ve shared it on my Instagram.

I’ve been loving a lot more of E.L.F.products recently with a simple reason that it’s so much convenient now for me to get them at Walmart. I used to order them online but now everything is within reach. So yay!

I picked this new Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in the shade St Luca. The blush looks like a shimmery coral peachy color while the bronzer is of brownish brown tone. The packaging looks sleek and sturdy and it comes with a decent size mirror which I like.  For the low prices I’m not complaining at all but I’m curious to try out how it works on me.

The next product I got is another Hard Candy makeup. Do you know that this brand is cruelty free, and same goes to Flower Beauty and E.L.F. makeup products? All the products mentioned are not tested on animals except L’oreal’s brand.

I did a review post a while ago on the same 10 Eyeshadow Palette in Birthday Suits. I really enjoyed the shades and quality. So, when I saw this palette with silver brocade embroidery, I need this in my life. Silver is my favorite if you’ve been following me on my blog. So, yes, I’m excited with this Rich & Famous color eyeshadow. I can’t wait to get my paws on them!

Moving on is the L’oreal La Palette Noir Eyeshadow Palette and it’s for CAD$23.96 at Walmart.

This is not a new product by L’oreal but definitely it’s new to me nevertheless. Available in three other shades I decided to pick this La Palette Noir to greet this fall season. I wanted to create a darker shades smokey eye look this Halloween. I’m intrigued to test this one since I’ve heard some mixed reviews on it.

I personally don’t really care much of the packaging but I’ll be more interested on the texture and formula. For this price, the stake is high. I’m putting a lot of expectation  on this product and I honestly hope it wouldn’t disappoint me. Finger crossed!

Another cruelty free product I got from Elf Cosmetics is their new Perfect Blend Concealer. I happened to pick up the shade in Light Beige. I’ve heard so many good things about this concealer that I was swayed to get it. Yes, I know, I’m such a #beautycholic! What can I say!

I’ve been obsessed with dark circle concealer so this is what it looks like. So, I’m very excite to try this. I love the shade and packaging. It’s a small size and easy to throw in my purse. I can’t wait to use it more.

So ya, I’ll report back on this one for sure. Don’t forget to stay tuned!

Next I also picked up the ELF Lengthening & Defining Mascara. I’m always excited to try out ELF makeup products. I’ve tried their liquid eyeliner and I really love it and ya, this time around the star is mascara.  Let’s give it a try. It’s black and oohh… I like how sutler this is.  I didn’t know if I like it at first but I really like it though.

Here’s a close up photo of the brush applicator.

Ya, first impression is that I like it. WOOHOO!

I appreciate a good eyebrow brush and I’m happy to find one on ELF’s counter. At the moment, not tons to say about this brush I want to see how it works on my brows first.

So, that’s it for today’s Walmart haul. I really love doing haul if you guys know me. I get so excited with makeup and sometimes on fashion. Let me know if you like reading this type of post.

Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you again on the next post. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

Promo Monday -Walmart Beauty Haul Products under $5

Hey guys! I’ve so many beauty products I want to show you today. It’s no joke! When I heard that Flower Beauty would be taken off Walmart Canada‘s shelf a month ago, I was pretty sad. Flower Beauty was a good quality brand. I really like their eyeshadows and brushes. For those of you who haven’t heard of Flower Beauty, their product is available at Walmart and it’s by Drew Barrymore‘s cruelty free brand.

So, long story short. I was back to Walmart shopping when I saw this. It’s a mixed feeling of bitter sweet happening. I was sad to see Flower Beauty go but other the other hand, was happy to see E.L.F. Cosmetics products now available at Walmart

And when I saw Flower Beauty makeup products were on liquidation, I could feel that I was on cloud nine. Seriously! Out of all the excitement, I picked up some of the products that I was dying to try.

Before I start, I want to tell you that this is going to be a long post – so, you might want to grab some chips and tea. So, let’s start.

I can’t believe that we’re actually in the fall. Could you? It’s already mid September and where are all the time go. Are you joking? By anyways, I’m so excited, I love fall so much. It’s chilly at night and it’s so nice.

Okay, I’ve so much to write about. So let’s start.

Okay you guys, first thing I got is their lipsticks. Ta…da!!! I actually have six tubes but one didn’t make it to this group photo. But I’ll do a review on all six shades once I’ve tried them all. I’m very excited for the fall colors of berry, wine and burgundy and the fact that this brand is cruelty free.

It’s the Kiss Stick Luxury Velvet Lip Color (white tubes) and Luxury High-Shine (black tubes) Lip Color on the right. I got three of each from both the formulas.

The shades for Velvet lip color are :- Petal Kiss, Rosey Garden and Get to the Poinsettia while the High Shine lip color I got is as follows – Cactus Flower, Tulips 2 Kiss You and Berry Bloom. Which shade would you  like me try first? Leave comment below.

If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you probably know what’s coming (yasss color swatches). Don’t forget to stay tuned for the upcoming review.

Next item I got are the Lip Gloss. I’ve them in the shades Baby’s Breath and Stop the Violets. I adore the white and rose gold case – so unique and feminine! I think they’ve the cutest packaging ever! The colors are so beautiful, I can’t wait to try it. It’s a soft pale pink and plum shade. And they’re super inexpensive.

I would love to grab more shades but these are what’s left on the shelf. I know that my sister would love it.

This is the first time I’d be trying out the BB Cream. The shade I got is in BB2 and it looks like  perfect shade for my skin toned. It comes in a squeeze tube packaging and the formula is creamy but not thick consistency, which is a plus for me. I prefer BB Cream that gives a sheer to medium finishing look but still hide the redness and imperfections.

It would be interesting to see how this wears. I’ll certainly keep you on the loop for it.

Next thing I got is the Zoom-In Ultimate Mascara in Brown Black. It comes in this fancy packaging and well, I’m a sucker for cute stuff – what can I say!

I was dang surprised with the packaging of this mascara. There’s this twist 3-in-1 applicator that works to lengthen, curl and thicken your lashes. I think this is a cool applicator that comes with not two but three functions. You could adjust the brush to however way you want your lashes to look. That’s ridiculously cool!

How it apply I don’t know yet but it will tell the tale?

I also got the Raise Some Brows in Light Brown. It’s a twist applicator that I really really love. This shade looks great on my brows and I’m happy camper. I tried it yesterday and I’ve been loving it since. This would probably be my first review post from this haul.

Next product I got here is the On Your Mark Liquid Eyeliner in Black. You know if you’re following me on my blog that I’m always on a hunt for a good liquid eyeliner. Don’t get me wrong, I like gel liner but I find liquid liner works much better for me, at least. well, I was so excited when I saw this and picked up two of the same shade.

I did a swatch but don’t really like it that much. I find the formula not pigmented enough and lack intensity. It looks gray and very light when I tried it on my hand. I posted a picture on my Instagram if you want to have a sneak peek for what comes next on my review.

If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’m obsessed with eyeshadows and especially the palettes. Since Walmart has only the quads available, I grabbed two of these.

I really like most of the eyeshadows by Flower Beauty I had before and have been loving it. The formulation of the shadows are nicely pigmented and very smooth. These are pretty quads and did I mentioned that they’re mattes. I see these shadow quads perfect for the summer into fall transition quads. I going to try doing a smokey eye look with them and upload it on my Instagram. Review post would be up shortly after I’ve played enough. So, stay tuned!

I can’t wait to try my new quads in Smoke and Mirrors (on the right) and Twilight Moon, the quad on the left.

Now let’s move on to nail polishes. Yay! Super excited with the colors I picked up. They’re Pansy Shmansy, Budding Romance, Aster Place, Blue Bell of the Ball and  Made My Day.

If you follow my Instagram, you may have seen these nail polishes I posted on my Instagram. Since it’s fall, the first shade that crosses my mind is to pick the nail color that would goes well with the season. So, I got burgundy, purple, maroon and two random pastel shade nails. I’m so excited to paint all my nails in fall shades.

I hope this post helps anyone who is a fan of Flower Beauty. Click heart or comment if you like this Walmart Beauty Haul Products under $5. Until next time, have a nice day!

If you guys happened to see more of Flower Beauty liquidation products at your local your Walmart, tweet me. I’m obsessed and I couldn’t get enough of their products!

Thanks so much for stopping by to read.

NARS Eye Paint – Review & Swatch

I am so excited to share with you, drum roll please, the Nars Eye Paints I picked up recently!!!

This is actually the second NARS product I purchased and I love it! The color is beautiful and it’s pretty long-lasting. Nars Eye Paints are supposed to work as liners or shadows/bases. I’ve tried it as a gel eyeliner plus shadow base and it’s gorgeous!

I bought this eye paint at Sephora online, I was looking for a dark color with a little something special. This hits the mark. The color is beautiful – dark brown murky shade that go oh-so-well with my brown eyes. To me, it gives a matte and bold finish on the eyelids. ❤

I usually only wear black liquid liner so you can tell I wanted to really try something else. You know, sort of stepping out of my comfort zone kinda thingy. I used this brown (mesopotamia shade) and was pleasantly surprised by the color payoff. So easy to apply; super creamy. I was so happy with the results!!!

I know I’m repeating myself again, but this product is so intense, incredibly pigmented, and so so beautiful. It goes on wonderfully, nice and creamy. It goes on very fluidly, just like liquid, and it’s easy to get the product precisely where you want it. LOVE <3!

I was blown away when i first tried it, but decided to wait to review it since sometimes products start off amazing and then become less-than after some uses. Not so for my Mesopotamia. Woohoo!  I’ve been using this Mesopotamia constantly since I purchased it, and there is not one thing that I do not love about it.

Apology to the color swatch which looks a bit out of focus on my hand

I find that the effect is subtle enough to wear during the day, or when in intimate company. It stays all day and night. In case brown is not your cup of tea, this eye paint comes in 10 shades for a full range of artistry.

Use a liner brush and you’re good to go. I only need just a bit of product (so this’ll last you awhile). I highly recommend. It’s the best out there!

Available at Sephora, Nars Cosmetics, Mecca and Northstrom.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I’ll see you again on the next one. Bye!

Daiso Japan Colorful Eyeshadow & Isehan KIss Me Heroine Make|Review

japanese eyeshadow eotd lmakeup

Yay! It’s time for doing a review on the Colorful Eyeshadow from Daiso Japan in Tokyo. I did a Japan Beauty Haul last Friday, you can click here to read a full review. So, anyways, this is a ¥100 = $1.00 eyeshadow with a net wt: 4g. Insanely low price and to be honest I’m not complaining, hehehe!

It comes in a lovely plastic packaging which looks decently made. It’s doesn’t look cheap like some drugstore brands I’ve seen. This is a four eyeshadow quad with all its formula been shimmery especially the pink color which has the most glitter on. It looks almost frosty in my opinion.

You can see how richly pigmented the formula are and the texture is amazing. It’s feel buttery and smooth. So, easy to blend and the color payoff is great.

Here are the color swatches I swipe directly to my bare hand and looks how gorgeous the shades and pigmentations! Crazily pigmented! I’ll give it thumbs up. The color from left to right: White (Shimmer), Gold (Metallic), Dark Brown (Satin) and Pink (Frosty)

I started by putting on an Eye Base by Evelyn Iona all over my lids. First, I gently put the White shade from the Quad palette on my browbone and inner corner. Then I proceed by applying the Gold color on my crease to give a definition. The secret to having a pretty pretty eyes is to blend and blend your eyeshadows very well. Take your time to blend all in. Next, I use the Dark Brown at the outer corner and work my way inwards. Lastly, I use my flat brush and tap the Pink frosty shadow on my lids. It’s important not to blend but just tap the formula on the lids.

I use my Annabelle in Jet Black to apply on my lashline and leaving the bottom lash line bare for this look. I want my eyes to look wider and natural.

I finish it with applying the Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara by Kiss Me in Black. This mascara is not from Daiso Japan but from Isehan in Tokyo. It comes in a thin and short bristle wand.

I love how it volumize, lengthen with no smudges at all. It does performs what the mascara should do. I noticed that my lashes looked as though as I’m wearing fake lashes when I used this mascara. ^-^

kiss me mascara

I’ve to admit that it’s a nice mascara for ¥1000 = $10.00 but a little pricey for a mascara. There are two cons – one is that it’s too dry for my eyes and second I feel this formula is so hard to remove. I’ve sensitive eyes and this formula just make my eyes feel uncomfortable after awhile. It’s drying up my lashes like crazy. So, unfortunately, this mascara is something that I will not reach for in the future 😦

So there you have it, a neutral eye makeup look using just the shadows from the colorful quad. You can wear this for an everyday look. It has good staying power and I really like it. The shimmery finish was not overwhelming and I love the appearance these eyeshadows gives. Yipee!!!

I hope you could find a similar product at your Daiso Japan in your area if you’re living in Los Angeles or San Francisco or even Seattle. I’m so glad to be able to try this eyeshadow out and love the result I desire.

What do you think of this product? Have you tried any products from Daiso? Leave your comment below. I love to hear what you think.

Thank you for taking the time to read. muak!

Eyeshadow Duo By Joe Fresh|Review & Swatches

joe fresh duo eyeshadow

If you miss the full review of my previous Friday Makeup Haul, just hit here or continue reading if you like to read more of my thoughts and opinion on this Eyeshadow Duo by Joe Fresh. I’ll be sharing with you also some color swatches as well.

The eyeshadow shades I got is in Honeywell on the top and Apricot the lighter color below. All products of Joe Fresh have tight plastic wraps. I really love the packaging of this eyeshadow duo. It has a neat look and the plastic packaging is sturdy.

Just look at this closed up picture of the eyeshadow duo in the pan. Freaking awesome, don’t you think!

The texture is silky, creamy and oh my gosh, they’re so smooth! Not sure if this make sense but on my fingers the formula does have a wet velvety feel but when I swiped them on my bare hand it went on smoothly to powder. Not only were they not chalky but there are no fallout. It blends well and gives a natural neutral satin finish. For a long lasting result, you can apply primer before just for more staying power.

Here is the eyeshadow color swatch swipe directly on bare hands without primer. It takes the smallest amount for pigmentation and looks very natural on. Picture taken with natural light.

Neutral nude eye makeup

If you love neutral nude eyeshadow then this duo will make a very good pairing for an everyday look. The color is not bright or intense and the best part is that it stays put on my eyes the whole day. I’m wearing the two shades for this eye makeup. apricot on the lids and browbone and honeywell on the outer corner. Finished with an eyeliner by Mac and voila! Done in less than 2 minutes 😛 Love the soft dewy look!

So, I’m really like this eyeshadow duo and overall the quality is good with added value on price. If you have friends visiting Canada, don’t forget to ask them to get you some Joe Fresh makeup products. With stronger US exchange rate, it is worth trying some Canadian makeup brand for your collection. As for my Canadian friends, you know by now where to find Joe Fresh brand. If not, check out at your local grocery store: Loblaws, Maxi and Superstore 🙂

That’s all for today’s review and I hope you find this post helpful and interesting. Until next time, stay beautiful!

What do you think of Joe Fresh makeup brand? Have you heard of this brand before? I love to hear your comments.

Thank you as usual for taking the time to stop by.

Japan Makeup Haul

japan beauty haul

Hey Gorgeous! Remembered the last post I did on Japanese Snacks and I did mentioned that I’ll be sharing what’s in my Japan Makeup Haul. Well, it wasn’t me who went to Japan but I have requested my daughter to pick up some of these makeup products from Japan. I love to collect makeup and you can see how obsessed I am with makeup: Okay, judge me if you like! I just love trying out new products from everywhere in the world if I can get my hands on.

The only problem I got from products originated from it’s original country is the language barrier. So, I’ll try to detail out  as much what’s in English since everything were written in Japanese 😦

I guess I can only show you pictures of the makeup haul I have and later, I’ll do another post on all the eyeshadow swatches and blushes after trying them.

Okay, the first three products according to my daughter, she bought them at Daiso in Tokyo for ¥100 = US$1.00. I believe there are several Daiso stores in North America and if you live in Los Angeles, San Francisco or Settle area, check out their beauty section there.

This Colorful Eyeshadow in 3 Brown. All four eyeshadows are with shimmer except the pink that has the most glitter. Love the texture, it’s very smooth and with incredible pigmentation. A full review of this eyeshadow swatches and makeup look will be up in my next post.

Another interesting product I have here is the Mix Cheek Powder in 1 Pink color. The White and Pink shades have shimmer while the Dark Rose and Coral Peach are with matte finish. For US$1.00 it’s worth every penny. I don’t smell any scent from this blush. The formula is amazing and it’s so blendable. Great value for four large size pan 🙂 Let me know if you like a review on Mix Cheek Powder.

bb cream

The 3rd product is a BB Face Cream Skin Complete BB in Natural Beige. Net wt: 40g and this is Made in Korea which is not surprising since Korea is popular for their BB Cream products but it’s printed on the packaging that it’s produced for Daiso Japan. Behind the packaging are some of the english translation.

  • Essence, day time care, makeup base foundation combine in one-multi cream
  • Aloe Vera extract is combined, it gives moisture to skin and It helps to keep your skin moist with Shea butter components.
  • It is applied smoothly and moistly.

This is a Puff de Cheek by Shiseido Mojolica Majorga in Apricot Macaron. I adore the cute tin packaging and inside is an adorable puffy pom pom which I’m a sucker of … LOL. Net wt: 7g and it costs ¥1300 or $13.00 which is a little pricey for a blush but I really don’t mind. Available in 2 pretty shades. It looks very pigmented and I love this Apricot shade already. I’ll share more pictures of this blush and will also do a color swatch and full review next.

japan makeup haul

Shiseido Be Happy with the power of Mineral foundation with SPF 25+. It’s ¥1300 for 30 ml. It comes in a plastic cute heart shape packaging in beige. this products in Made In Japan so that’s all the information I can digged out. I’ll try this liquid foundation that smells amazing and liquidy. The shade matched my skin type and I’m going to wear it for awhile before I give my thoughts and opinion.

Another product I got is also from Shiseido Majolica Majorca Eyeshadow with 3 shimmery neutral shades with a white matte highlighter. The price is ¥1400 which is US$14.00. I went to the website and this is what I found – Illumination effect eye shadow of the cream base × light color powder.

Dolly Wink by Tsubasa Masuwaka Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black. ¥1200 for this liquid eyeliner with nice precision tip. Really impressed with Japanese designers who designed so many creative and artistic packaging on their makeup products. Impressed!

Lastly on makeup is this Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara by Kiss Me. This mascara is super water proof and it’s in the shade Black. For ¥1000 I’m going to try if it worth the price. I’ve senstive eyes especially with mascara or eyeliner that could irritate my eyes and I’m going to find out real soon after writing this post. Will report back if it’s a hit or miss for me.

Can anyone say no to these 3 cute little coin purse! I know I can’t and I’m so glad that my daughter knows my taste. I have one of this purse when I was in Japan several years back and I always love it. Now, I have three new ones to keep my older one company. So yay for that!

So, I want to give the credit to my daughter and her friend for all these awesome goodies from Japan. I’m very excited to try each one and give my best opinion in my post the next time we meet.

I hope you find this makeup haul interesting and helpful and I’ll see you guys soon.

Which is your favorite makeup product you’ve seen? I love to hear your comments.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Friday Makeup Haul

beauty haul joe fresh

Many of you may not know this brand, but Joe Fresh is a fashion brand and retail chain created for Canadian Food Distributor, Loblaws Ltd. Joe Fresh has also entered the American market with permanent and pop-up stores in New York City and region, with JC Penney store outlets throughout the United States.
I tagged along with my honey bear to do our weekly grocery shopping, and as I was browsing at the makeup section and doing some makeup swatches, yes that sounds crazy and no joke that’s the life of a makeup lover. Anyways, long story short, I heard many good things about Joe Fresh products and needless to say I walked away with several interesting beauty haul which I’m excited to share them in my post. So, let’s get rolling:-

First item I picked up is this Eye and Lip Palette by Joe Fresh because of its neutral earthy shadows topped with super cool packaging! I really like this simple but yet sturdy plastic packaging. The packaging doesn’t look cheap but rather expensive looking. The shade I got is in Bronze Age and the shadows are in Gold (shimmer),  Bronze (shimmer) and Dark Brown (matte) finish. It comes with a bright orangey lipstick and an eyeshadow brush. I’ll do a color swatch and review on my next post. This palette retails for $12.00

On a whim, I also pick up this Nail Polish in Maple. Net wt: 0.2 fl oz – for $1.94 and it was on special, so I justify myself to get it. The packaging is of cylindrical with a white plastic top. The lid is slightly larger than the bottle length. They are so amazing! Color goes on next to opaque. A full review coming up once I’ve tried it. I really really like this color. Oh, so pretty! It has a very nice selection of colors to choose.

I also got this 2 in 1 Concealer Cream Stick retails for $8.00 and I’m just curious to try this one out. I got mine in the shade Dark but it doesn’t look so dark from the stick. Anyways, I’m excited to try this out too. I’m going to open it right now :P. It comes in a twist stick pencil packaging and the texture is super amazing. It’s soft and it glide so well without having the feeling of it dragging whatsoever. Judging from the look of this concealer stick I personally think that it’s a little steep for a 0.07 fl oz net wt but I’ll report back the quality and performance once I’ve tried it if the value and quality are on par.

Next is this Eyeshadow Duo in Honeybell and Apricot. Again, I was blown away by the packaging. The packaging is made of clear plastic polycarbonate material which looks like a glass packaging. It doesn’t look like the drugstore plastic packaging we often see at the drugstores. Highly pigmented and it blends super amazingly. The texture is soft and smooth and no fallout. It has a soft dewy finish and these shades are very versatile.

I got this single Eyeshadow in Petrol – a blue spruce undertone with micro-glitters. Net wt: 0.08 fl oz for $5.00. It comes in a sturdy clear plastic packaging. I’ve been planning on doing a single eyeshadow makeup look and this shade will be perfect to make my brown eyes look more pop. Full eye makeup tutorial with review on my next post. Don’t forget to check back later 🙂

Many of you know that I don’t wear false lashes and well that’s about to change. Since I was at the Joe Fresh makeup section long enough, everything seems more appealing and I spotted this Lash Adhesive for $4.00 and told myself that now I don’t have any excuse not to. So, this is going to be my first time ever to try wearing a false eyelashes and I’m super nervous.

Lastly is a random product I saw in the liquidation box and it’s the L’oreal HiP (high intensity pigments) Bright Shadow Duo in Brazen. The color tone is of Dark Rose and Dark Brown and both shadows are matte finish. These shades look pretty to wear for evening wear. Comes in 5 high-flying combos. It’s ultra pigmented and the color intensity is amazing.

That’s it on my makeup haul for this month. So, I’ll say that these products are incredible for the price with good quality. For the price, the quality and the pigmentations, you can never go wrong. I’m so so glad to find these products by Joe Fresh. I’ll definitely be getting more of this brand to share in my next several posts. I must say that the price is affordable and the quality is impressively good.

I’m all about good deals when it comes to beauty on a budget and if you are in Canada go and check this brand out at the Superstores or if you have friends living in Canada, ask them to get it for you or order online.

Have you tried these lovely products? Let me know what you thought on the comment section below!

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Friday Beauty Haul: Dollar Store Haul

I remember when I first started my beauty blog, I used to do my beauty haul on Friday and if you have been following my posts you know what I’m talking about. But for those of you who are new here, feel free to read my previous Friday Beauty Hauls. But anyways, long story short, I decided to do a Friday Beauty Haul every once a month. I’ll share with you what I pick from the drugstores, Walmart and Dollar Stores etc… If you have any drugstore makeup products that you like me to do a review on, just leave comment below.

So, for this week I’ll start with my Dollar Store Beauty Haul. I got these last week but I just couldn’t find the time to do it until last night. Ya, I’m obsessed with makeup and I just pick and pick more of the makeup products and they’re piling up as high as an anthill.

Anyways, long story short. Today’ I’m going to do a haul and a first impression at the same time. So, let’s get rolling:-

Oh, yes remember that all the items are all under $3.00 mark.

dollar store haul

I got a Top Coat by Revlon for $2, Eos lip balm for $3 and a gift set bag for $3 and inside this bag, we have Eye Define Pencil, Lip d’ovotion and an Eyeshadow Box all from Bonne Bell.

It’s like $1 each per item not counting the labor for the bag and that’s a great deal. Yipee!!! I love great sale and deals. Every dollar I save adds up and I got to spend on another item the next time round. That’s saving too according to my own interpretation (giggling).

Believe it or not, you can find some good products especially drugstore items at Dollar store or Dollar tree store nowadays. It’s convenient and cheap. You pay less at Dollar store than at a drugstore with similar products. Don’t get me wrong, I still love shopping at the drugstore but it makes more sense to shop at Dollar Store especially if I’m on a budget spend.

bonne belle kit

I’m excited to open this Eyeshadow box by Bonne Bell in Cafe Classics. I’m pretty sure that the items are sold separately at the drugstore or Bonne Bell Cosmetics website but in this case it happened to be packed as a gift set.

This is a pretty cafe shades that have shimmery and pearly finish. The texture is smooth and it has beautiful pigmentation. I did a color swatch on bare arm- meaning without primer on. The instruction on the website says that you can apply using dry or wet application.

neutral eye look

These shadows are easy to blend and I really like the appearance I get using all the shadows from this shadowbox. If you love shimmery eyeshadow then this could be another drugstore brand  to look for. The shadow pan is descent in size and it comes with 2 cute sponge brush. It comes in a plastic packaging which you can stash in your purse or jeans pocket.

So here is the finish look. I really enjoy playing with the colors and for this look I used dry application and without eye primer. The shadows stays on nicely and long wearing .

eye define pencil

Next in the bag is the Eye Define Liner Pencil in Espresso Brown. There are 5 shades for color options. I have Bonne Bell eyeliner in the past and have always love how smooth and easy it glide on like a skyglider. The formula is creamy and it doesn’t drag or skip. I like it 😀

Okay, this is a fun new Lipd’ovotion by Bonne Bell. This comes with a twist-top applicator on one end and the brush the opposite end. I personally think that this packaging is genius. I love the idea of having a lip brush with a lip color together.  So easy to apply the lip gloss with much precision.

By the way, its available in 5 shimmery shades that fit any outfits. This clear shade  lipd’ovotion smells like caramel. Yummy! The downside for me is the formula. I feel that is a little bit sticky or tacky and if you dislike sticky lip gloss then you’re not going to like this one either. I’ll have to pass on this one even though I really like the packaging. It’s just that this sticky formula isn’t something I’ll reach for. So, I’ll not repurchase this again.

eos lip balm

Eos Lip balm in Sweet Mint. It’s 100% natural and 95% organic. This is my favorite scented lip balm. It smells so good and it’s so so smooth. My lips feels so smooth and moist and I can feel the minty sensation on my lips. It’s not gunky or sticky at all. It has 7 different minty scents to choose and it’s available at Walmart and all drugstores.

I love the super adorable “kinder egg” packaging. The rounded top formula reminds me of the tropical hairy fruit in Asia called “rambutan”. You can googled it up in case you’re curious to know. I will repurchase again and again. Totally love it.

revlon top coat

Revlon Colorstay Gel Shine Top  Coat in 0.4 fl oz. On the bottle it says long wearing nail enamel. Well, I’ve been meaning to get a top coat a month ago and this couldn’t come in a better time. For $2 a bottle of top coat by Revlon, I’ll have to say I’m a happy camper. With summer approaching, all finger nails and toe nails are ready to be painted for flip flop or beach sandals.

So, I hope you enjoy this Dollar store beauty haul for this month and I’ll see you all again next month on Friday Beauty Haul.

Which is the best deal of makeup products that you found recently at your dollar tree store? I love to hear your comment below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
