Favorite Holiday Makeup Products!|#BlogmasBagMonday #2

Welcome back to Blogmas Bag Monday week #2. This is a weekly series for the month of December. Each week I rotate makeup products to try out and review for a full week. This week I test out some of my favorite holiday makeup products.

If you want to see all products perform last week than just keep on reading till the end.

Makeup Revolution Palette

I tested out the Makeup Revolution London Ultra Eyeshadows in Affirmation. There are 32 eyeshadows in this palette. You good color selection from matte, shimmer to metallic. I’m also loving all the names of the shadows in this palette.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 1

Top row L-R: Pledge, Forward, Affirmation, Morale, Approve. Hope, Advance & Truth. As we approach nearer to the biggest holiday ever and as year 2017 closing to an end, it’s also a perfect time to reflect the past by giving thanks with words of affirmation and setting new goals for the new year. The names of these eyeshadows speaks to me for example I want to tell myself to press forward, there’s hope, take time, be confidence, make promise, reliance and share positive vibes. Which of these pop up the most to you? Share in the comment and let me know down below!

I’ve been reaching out for Pledge, Forward, Advance and Truth practically the past few days for my everyday neutral eye makeup look.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 2

Second row from L-R: Positive, Vouch, Accept, Time, Reliance, Confidence, Blaze & Light. These shadows swatches beautifully with only one swipe on bare hands. They’re that pigmented and could we just take a second to just appreciate the stunning colors. I’m loving all the shades in this row. Among the eyeshadows in this palette, I’d say the warmest color tones comes from this row. They’re very versatile and stay on the entire day I was wearing them. I didn’t notice all fall out or creasing from any of the shadows whatsoever. They stay put the entire time which I really appreciate.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 3

Third row L-R: Vow, Reveal, Oath, Rely, Consent, Willing. Vouch & Promise. The formula and pigmentation of each eyeshadow is quite consistent. They’re soft and smooth in texture, thus making blending so easy. The colors are true to its color. What you see is what you get.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 4

Last row L-R: Announce, Convey, Assure, Disclose, State, Insist, Bold & Declare are my least favorite shades except for Assure and Insist which are great for smoky eye look. I was hoping Declare to be a really dark matte black but turns out, it’s not as pigmented and a little patchy to my liking. That’s the only complain I’ve from this palette.

Otherwise, overall I’m quite impressed with this palette. I really like the formula and the color payoff.  If you’re down with cool toned shadows and are on the market for a product that feels special with an affordable price tag then this is a great item to add to your makeup collection.

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow To Go

You may have noticed that I’ve been obsessed with Tarte products lately and when I saw this Pro Glow To Go Highlight & Contour Palette on the Sephora website during their Black Friday Sale, it’s obvious I had to get it. There are three products in the set, you get a highlighter, a lip paint and a mascara.

Tarte Pro Glow

This is a two highlighters and one contour powder palette. A trio compact packaging that comes with a big mirror is very travel friendly. The formula is pretty dense (in a good way) so there was not a lot of excess powder kicked up in the pan. The first two highlighters are frosted shimmer and most suitable for someone who likes a shinny and more shimmery highlighter. The matte contour performs  amazingly well. It’s highly pigmented and a little goes a long way with this product. I like how easy it blends and the bronze-y finish it gives.

It smell like a delicious cocoa candy, I wish I could eat it.

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow

Top to bottom:

  • Gleam is a light, golden beige with warm undertones and a frosted sheen.
  • Burst is a bright, creamy yellow with a golden frosted shimmer.
  • Chisel is a muted, medium brown with subtle, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish.

This one product stand out the most for me and I think you guys will love it just as much as I do! The pigmentation is out of this world. It’s insanely beautiful! Just one swipe on the cheekbone is all you need for a beautiful highlight. I wore the shade Burst again yesterday and yes, I think I’m falling in love with this stunning golden highlighter.

I think this palette will work amazing for someone who likes warmer and more intense highlighter like myself. The bad news is it’s not going to work for all skin tones and if you like subtle highlighter then this palette is not for you.

Tarte Lash Paint Mascara

Next is the Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara that’s included in this set. The shade I’ve is in Jet Black. It’s a deluxe sample size tube packaging with a nice floral design on the cap. When I saw the word paint, I’m down with it. I was really excited to test it out. You guys know that I’m always on board to try everything or anything new brands comes out with and same goes for mascara.

Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara

After a week of trying, I concluded that it won’t replace my love for the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. It’s one of my most favorite mascara of all time. A mascara that adds volume and length to my lashes, what’s that not to love. I just love it! I’d stick with my old fame and honestly I don’t mind playing with a new mascara at all. Did I mention this product is cruelty free! Well, now you know.

I would recommend this to someone who already has a full and thick curly lashes but wants to up on the volume then you’re going to enjoy it.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Color

Moving on is the Tartiest Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in a travel size packaging. I like it when brands throw in lip product in their holiday set. For someone who has more than 60 lipsticks in my vanity, a travel size is mostly appreciated when it comes to trying out product. Don’t get me wrong, I love lipsticks and lip products in full size and I’m not complaining but once in awhile when brands gives you a sample size, I simply couldn’t ignore.

Tarte Tarteist Color Swatch

I don’t have the name of this particular shade and from my experience, I’m going to say it’s a rosy nude shade if you ask me.

My latest obsession is long wearing lip color and this product give me just that. I agree with the claim of quick dry lip paint. The formula dries up so fast on the lips in a good way and so comfortably lightweight. It’s feather light you wouldn’t notice you’re wearing it. The finishing goes from sheer to full if you like to layer up. A beautiful matte that’s not drying on the lips. Now we’re talking! On that positive note, I urge you to check it out. You won’t regret purchasing this one!

Givenchy Lipstick

I’m not lying when I told you that I’ve that so many lipsticks, right! Here’s another deluxe sample I got with my purchase of more than $25 at Sephora. High end lipstick is my jam and I love collecting them.

Givenchy Lipstick

This is my first acquisition of the Givenchy Le Rouge lipstick line and I’m all floored over this luxury packaging. The black and white tube packaging makes it look so sleek and elegant. I can stare at it the whole day!

Givenchy LIpstick Color Swatch

A stunning shade of Frambroise Velour (315) is described as a cool berry with a natural finish. The color is outstanding and I believe it will work across all skin tones, from light to dark and cool to warm. Everyone can pull off with this shade. You don’t have to be intimidated with the dark shade, it’s surprisingly not as dark as I thought and highly wearable for any occasion. I like that it doesn’t run vampy like some brands I’ve tried in the past. The texture is soft and feels so comfortable on lips. I’m excited to wear this shade over the Fall and Winter! The color is so flattering and helps brighten complexion. Wonderful!!!

Yves St Laurent Radiant Touch

I couldn’t make a favorite without mentioning the Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Perfecting Pen in the shade Luminous Ivory (2). Perfect color for fair to light complexions with yellow undertones.

I don’t remember owning a gold pen highlighter before so this I treasure.

Wand Applicator Yves ST Laurent

I’ve been doing all those all-night blog a thons I’ve been pulling to get this Blogmas weeks off the ground and it’s finally catching up with me. When my hubby pointed out about the huge bags under my eyes, I’ve to do something about these and fast.

According to the company, the pen is a highlighter cream that will help your face “capture eight hours of sleep with the click of a pen.” It’s not really a concealer per se but rather a illuminator that brightens and make you look more awake.

I love to use this under my eyes, forehead, beside and on the bridge of my nose for brightening purposes. All I want this holiday season is a radiant and brightening look that hides my dark eyes and this pen did just that. I feel like I’m going to love this!

Elf highligting brush

I was very excited with the new Elf Cosmetics Highting Brush, it’s not new new in the market but at least new to me.  I’ve a few of their brush collection and I would say they didn’t disappoint me whatsoever. This is beautiful and has become my go to whenever I need to use it for highlighting and for blush. The quality is good and it’s a synthetic fiber brush. It works so well, I love elf brushes. It’s soft but still densely packed enough to actually work. I’d say it has that perfect softeness that still function very well. If you’re in the market for an affordable and yet workable brush, look no further. You need to try this for yourself!

So, that’s everything from last week and right here are products that I’ll be testing out for the upcoming week. All they’re as follows:

So, that’s everything that I’ll be testing out for next’s week #BlogmasBagMonday. Make sure you come back to read every Monday for the month of December. Then I’ll have really exciting new series coming out after the New Year. I’ll be doing A Peek Inside My PR BOX. So make sure you follow me on my blog.

As always thanks so much for stopping by and read. Have a wonderful rest of your day! I’ll see you again next week for another Blogmas Bag Monday week 3.

Blogmas Day 19- Essence Cosmetics First Impression

Hey guys! As with December coming to an end, I thought I’d do one last first impression post because I’ve actually found quite a few amazing things I wanted to talk about! So, today I’ve a special post which was probably the brand I was so excited to work on.

Yes, it’s Essence Cosmetics makeup brand as you can see from the title of this blog.

I would like to give a quick mention of this cute sparkly silver metallic photo box I found at Michaels Stores though.

And the products I picked up from Maxi are the following: Essence Make Me Brow, Essence Pure Nude Make-Up, DIY Eyeliner and Camouflage Cream Concealer.

If you’re still in the hunt for to fill your stocking stuffers then these makeup products are just perfect.

I remembered mentioning on my twitter last Saturday that I had a Women’s Christmas Banquet to attend and I took advantage to try all the products out. I wore them from 9.00am till noon and when I checked everything were still intact. I checked again at  6.00pm that same evening I was surprisingly impressed. Nothing major to report of fading foundation.

First up is this Pure Nude Make-Up Natural Finish foundation in the shade Pure Sand. If I’m not mistaken, Pure Nude is one of their new collection line by Essence.

I love this foundation. It feels light weight as if you not wearing anything at all, yet evens out my skin and it stays nicely for at least 8 hrs with no need to touch up at all.

The packaging is super cute! I comes with a pump with a slim and simple packaging. Love, love it!

I really like the pigmentation of this formula. It’s not too thick and feels more like a tinted moisturizer than a standard foundation would be. You can see from this image that it has an extremely runny formula but can be built up to a light/medium coverage.

The downside is that it has only 3 shades, but it worked for me…love it! The plus side is it has a light-medium coverage, has a natural finish, and lightweight on wear, great on combo-normal/dry skin.

If you looked two images above, you can see the scar on my arm but with blending the formula, it covers the scar completely with a small amount of products.

The finish is natural looking and non-made-up feeling as promised! If you’re new to makeup, this would be a great product to try given the price and quality you get from it.

Next thing I got is the Camouflage Cream Concealer in  Natural Beige for CAD$3.99.  It comes in a duo cream pan.

I like to use the lighter peachy one for under eye circles and the beige shade for concealing blemishes. The formula is great given it’s my first impression. Why do I say that… the cream is soft and love the amazing finishing coverage it gives.

From how I wore them, I would describe the coverage as medium, but definitely buildable if you apply more layers as you go along.

I’ve combination dry skin and it doesn’t cake or dry up on my under eye areas like many concealers do. And it’s so creamy and smooth on application. It’s really easy to pat in with the fingertips and voila! You’re done!

My take from my first time experience with this concealer is amazing. I don’t see any creasing or dried up effect from the whole day wearing with I’m quite impressed with. Above all, it’s a great value product with affordable price that I suggest you give this a try.

Another love from this brand is their Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in Browny Brows.

Honestly, my first impression of this brow gel was that I was going to hate it but I was completely wrong. I noticed it has a perfect dark, ashy brown that matches my brows perfectly.

The spoolie pick up a nice amount of products and with one dip is enough for both of my brows. It combs and fill in my brows nicely without resulting to flaking or smudging at all. I’m loving it. Another winner in my book, Essence.

It really coats my sparse yet unruly brow hairs, fills in the gaps in my brows pretty well and gives a nice natural kinda bushy look. My brows never feels so proud. Super natural finishing look, stays for long hours and great value for money.

Last but not least is this Dip Liquid Eyeliner I got in the shade Black.

This is not a waterproof eyeliner but it works dang well.I love how dark it applies and the color was an intense matte black look.

The tip applicator is an ultra soft one with good precision. I love my winged eye look and I know that I’ll have good use of it. I’m happy on how very easy this apply.

Here is the swatch for your eyes only. Hope you’ll be convinced.

What do you think of these? Have you tried any of Essence’s makeup. Comment below if you’ve.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you’ve a lovely week. [muah]

BABES IN BLOGLAND COLLAB| Who Will You Kiss Under the Mistletoe

TODAY is Christmas Eve and with Stashy from Stash Matters, Ingrid from Curly Spring Blossom and Kaily, Hello Kaily, we want to thank all for the great month of December. I’ve a wonderful time sharing the BLOGMAS posts and don’t forget to check on their blogs and give them a follow. I’ll put their links below.

Since it has been centuries that people choose someone to kiss under the mistletoes and the tradition has been passed down through many generations. Since tonight is an important night to grab your loved one to be under the mistletoe.

But Babes In BLOGLAND have agreed to take the challenge to have someone beside their significant other, spouse or boyfriend to kiss under the mistletoe.

by source – vintage under mistletoe

The meaning behind MISTLETOE: This person will kiss you under the mistletoe! The only thing missing is the perfect opportunity, and it will come soon enough! Give them a hint and hang up lots of mistletoes.

If you have a facebook account, just take this challenge by clicking on the link provided below.

Here is the link if you’re curious to know that other person would be. This is fun and you’ll be surprised to see who you’ll be KISSING under the mistletoe. I’m curious to know 😉

I just died … I got Jenny B my  good friend on facebook. Hahaha! This is just too funny. That’s what happened when all my friends on facebook are all beauties. I wonder where on earth are our husbands, or boyfriends will be? LOL.

Q: I challenge you to do it and leave your comments who will be under mistletoe with you this year?

Are you curious to know who the other Babes in Blogland had in mind to kiss under the mistletoe.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read.

Have a wonderful Holiday Season filled with joy and good spirit all through the years!

Best Hits and Oh Hell NO! Elf Eyeshadow

I haven’t been doing a lot of monthly favorites and regrets for awhile and I won’t be doing it now. Instead, I’ll be doing weekly series of Best Hits and Oh Hell NO! Note that it will continue after Next year. Don’t forget to follow more exciting post coming up next year.

So, let’s start with a positive post today with the Best Hits!

You know that I’m an eyeshadow palette junkie, right? I mean, if you follow me on Facebook or if you have been following my blog, you already know that I’m completely smitten and drool over when it comes to palettes.

I love all makeup, but if I had to pick a favourite beauty item it would definitely be eyeshadow palettes. ELF Cosmetics has released a holiday gift set that is the mother-load of eyeshadow collections! I love that Elf’s jumping on the huge palette trend in the best possible way. So YAY!

In this ELF All About Nude contains 32 shadows palette, two eyeshadow brushes and an eye primer. The theme is called Play Beautifully! Limited EDITION!

I got a beautiful ALL ABOUT NUDE palette set for myself this Christmas for $CAD15.00. Yes, I love my eyeshadow, I adore makeup and obsessed with palettes. I’m super delighted, it feels like a dream to grab a limited edition palette.

From smokey colours to super wearable nudes this set has something for everyone. I’ve used and tried Elf products before and it’s my first time trying a huge eyeshadow palette. Honestly, I don’t know why I waited so long!

I find it’s conveniently packaged into one festive set.with the inside you’ll see all the 32 eyeshadows AMAZING COLORS.. This palette was for CAD$15.00 at our local grocer, MAXI. I was taken by double surprises, FIRST to pick this gorgeous palette and TWO it’s available locally NOW.

It’s not easy finding well pigmented good color selection  eyeshadows, especially for an affordable price. For $15.00 a set, I definitely think is a good deal because they’re so smooth and pigmented. But some colors are better than the others. Apart from that, they’re also cruelty-free.

elf color swatches

Look at these color swatches without eye primer nor eye base. The eyeshadows stay true to colors on my hand from pan. Also, color payoff is quite nice.

The formula is pigmented and smooth, which makes it easy to work on and to blend. I couldn’t find any reason not to love this all about nude. It has good color selection and I’m so glad I grabbed it.

First off, I love the packaging, curved tube with the beige band is very sleek, definitely something I’m happy to see from a eyelid primer! I have no issues holding it in my hand or applying. And the applicator is of doe shape. Nothing not to love about this primer.

The formula is soft and the formula applies very well. It’s definitely not tacky but feel creamy to touch.

Instruction at the back of the packaging asked that you leave the primer until it dries before applying the eyeshadows. I know the fact that with eye base, you want to apply shadows before the formula dries to lock the shadows in. There is no right or wrong way.

Next, I didn’t get only one eyeshadow brush but two. Elf has some good brushes to keep in my collection.

I’m so obsessed with this limited edition that ELF comes out with this Holiday season. I’m really speechLESS. Love, LOVE this set.

Limited edition products usually go out fast. If you see this on Elf website or at your local drugstore, Target, pick one for yourself and another for your best friend.

Final question is, do I recommend them? Highly. For me, this palette is absolute must-haves! You seriously have to try it for the price and quality you’d get. That’s it for today’s BEST Hits. I’ll be right back with more beauty posts… on the next one. Stay Tuned for more!

Don’t forget to head over to BABES IN BLOGLAND to read their Blogmas Day 21. Here are their links:

Thank you very much for stopping by this post and your comments. mmmuak!

Christmas TAG!

keep calm

I saw this rylie*style doing this Christmas Tag and since I was having so much fun doing my Holly Jolly Christmas Tag, I’m simply just filled with the holiday mood that I decided to do another tag post. Hope you’d like it.

I’m excited already so let’s jump in right away:

1. What’s you favorite Christmas film?

I’d go with It’s A Wonderful Life and Scrooge. We watched these classics movies every year. It definitely gets me in the Christmas spirit 🙂

2. Have you ever had a white Christmas?

Yes, most of the time. Living in Canada, the percentage of not having a White Christmas is next to zero! But seeing the weather this past few weeks, I might have to take it back. I very much want a White Christmas, it wouldn’t feel the same without snows.

3. Where do you usually spend your holidays?

Christmas day is mostly at home. I love spending a quiet Christmas day with my family! Open presents  followed by our traditional picture taking and watching Christmas classic movies. Then we lounged around, eat, naps and repeats.

4. What is your favorite Christmas song?

Hmm.. this is a tough one to choose. I love all Christmas songs but if I get to pick a favorite it’ll be White Christmas

5. Do you open your presents on Christmas eve?

Nope, I prefer everyone to open their gifts on Christmas Day.  More time to enjoy the gifts we received and be chatty the meaning of the gifts presented.

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Um…I don’t really know all but only Rudolph, the Red nose reindeer. Okay, I’m terrible remembering names.

7. What holiday traditions are you most looking forward to this year?

Just spending time with my family! Wearing pyjamas on the morning of Christmas Day opening presents under the decorated Christmas tree.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake! I would prefer to have a real tree though. I miss the smell of pine.

9. What is your all-time favorite Christmas sweet/treat?

Butter cookies and fruit cake!

10. Be honest: Do you like giving gifts or receiving them better?

The true meaning of this Holiday season is mainly about the spirit of giving. I very much enjoyed to give more than to receive. The joy that was planted on each and everyone’s face are PRICELESS! I love receiving gifts, of course.

11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

I’ll have to skip on this one until next Wednesday’s post. Sneak peek, it’s a topic we wanted to share in our collaboration posts.

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holidays?

Vacationing to Japan or Korea with my family  🙂

13. Are you a Pro present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I enjoy wrapping presents and always buy new ones to store every time. Finishing touch with a bow or star ribbon.

14. Most memorable holiday moment?

Having a new member added to our family. My son was born in Oct and it was so special for a little bundle of joy joining us that year!

15. What made you realize the truth about Santa?

Umm.. I honestly can’t remember. It was so long ago 😦

16. Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? Do you stick to them?

I make new resolutions yearly, and try to stick to them as much as I could!

17. What makes the holidays special for you?

Jesus is the Reason for this Season!

“Babes in Blogland” Collaboration – Snow Themed/Makeup Menu

Today, I bring you another collaboration post called Snow Themed/Makeup Menu with all my good friends Kaily of Hello Kaily, Stashy from Stash Matters and Ingrid of Curly Spring Blossom. I’ll be linking their blogs down below. So, be sure to visit their Blogmas Holiday posts.

HOLIDAYS are the best time of the year…My Favorite Winter and all the Festive Spirit is something I waited for the whole year. For me the Holiday is NO HOLIDAY without… Family, Friends, Spirit of sharing and giving, also SNOW!

First of, I wanted to share my interpretation of Snow. For me, anything that is White, I relate it to snow. I remembered growing up watching Snow White and the 7 dwarfs when I was a little girl, disney movie Frozen, Elsa and Olaf the talking snowman, Snow Queen and Ice Age just to name a few. Mostly, everything white reminds me of snow!

Today, with all my other good friends friends sharing the theme Snow or Makeup Menu, I’m excited to share a few here with all of you.

by source

by source : All white makeup

Hence, this is what’s buzzing in my mind right now. The point of white makeup is to express everything snow white to remind, of snow. I really like this loo on the Korean model but honestly, I know I can’t pull off with everything white. I’ll definitely looked deadly if I paint my face all white since I’m on a light to medium skin-toned but the model looks stunning! If you feel inspired by this look, try it and leave your comments please.

For the dramatic effect, even the eyebrows are covered with white color like a pine tree after snow. This is so cool.”This model makeup look is to express image of a Snow Queen according to the makeup director”.

I think this theme is my biggest challenge yet. As easy as it may sound, I’m having a hard time writing this post to be honest with you. But I’ll do my best possible.

Here are my picks of White as Snow Theme:

Chanel-nail swatch

I can see how opaque white nail polish could be a little off-putting in a “Whoa! But when they’re done right, I think they’re go-go girl chic. Again, I’m not a true fan of white nail polish on myself. I love to admire people who wore them but I simply couldn’t pull off with opaque white polish. I’m weird I know but I don’t feel comfortable wearing creamy white polish. It doesn’t match my skin tone and it just didn’t worked well on me but I know many who loves wearing this white as snow nail polish for winter. I believe it’s a pretty color for those who likes light shade nail polish.

graphic glitters

White Graphic Glitters by Makeup For Ever is a product I’d like to apply them on my neck and body to add some glittery and glam from just a boring old fashion appearance. It’s nice to add some glitter in my life. You can apply these on your eyeshadow makeup if your eyes are not too sensitive. It could really make eyes more popped with extra definition.

by source

To be honest. I seriously don’t mind indulging myself in this shaved ice now. Yes, it’s cold outside but this patbingsu looks so mouthwatering. Green tea ice cream on top of shaved ice with red beans, ohh.. heavenly!. IN Korea this shaved ice is called Patbingsu. Bring in the snow, bring in the ice, hahaha! It’s warm inside  ;P

by source

This will make my holiday dreams come true. A beautifully lighting with candle lights coupled with white decor dining setting, I wish upon the star to grant my wish tonight. A charming and inviting snow white decorating, a pleasure in everyone’s eyes.

white ornament

Hope you’ve enjoyed reading this. ’tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, lalalala!

What do you think? What is your interpretation of SNOW? I LOVE to hear your comments in the comment section.

There are so many great Lancôme products that it’s quite hard to pick only three, so I’ve chosen my favorites from their recent launches. The rest of the products will be reviewed subsequently.

Here are some of my quick take:

Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette for Warm Day

I noticed the packaging of these palettes have been revamped to look similar to Naked Basics Palette. The older packaging retailed for C$57.00 which is on a high price tag if you asked me. I recommend getting this Travel Bag for C$67.00 with purchase at Pharmaprix Pincourt or at Shoppers Drug Mart while stock lasts. This bag is totally worth it.

The light shades are good as highlight and neutral shades which also includes a grey liner that is perfect for day wear.

Color Design 5 Shadow & Liner Palette for Warm Night

There’s a really good mix of matte. shimmer and metallic shades included and I’m pleased to say that every single one is seriously pigmented and super easy to blend. I’ve been really drawn to the shades rustic copper, gold and bronze. They have just the right of shimmer in to give a luxe look and the pigmentation is so, so good.

I know that this Train Case GIFT Bag with purchase is a limited edition but couldn’t confirm if these eyeshadow palettes would be a permanent feature. In other words, this is one of the few I’d recommend that you rush to buy if. It’s definitely going to be a favorite in my makeup bag for months to come.

Which of these two do you like the look of this palette from Lancôme?

Color design Sensational Effects Lip color in Designer Bloom and Trendy Mauve

If you ask me, there’s always room for another nude lipstick in your collection (yes, I am an enabler). But here’s what makes these different. I find the formula to be very moisturizing and so pigmented.

This is major. I hate it when a lipstick looks good when you first put it on, only to get dull, disappear and/or dry out a short while later. Does this sounds familiar to you? Another thing is that, I also get sad when colors look amazing in the tube, but then let too much of your natural lip tone show through.

It really coats your lips and hydrates them, and stays on really well. Somehow, the muted berry with the satin and a nice mauve feels modern all of a sudden—everything old is new again!—and it really flatters, in a late ’80s sort of way. Am I crazy? 😛

I’ll be doing lots of color swatches and reviews in the next coming posts.

Blush Subtil Delicate Oil Free Powder Blush in Shimmer Mocha Havana

I love a product that gets to work and blend easily, especially if it requires minimal effort on my part (yes, I’m IMPATIENT) lol!

On its website it says this luxuriously silky powder blush glides on with its own brush to color and contour for a flawless application every time. I’m intrigued to try and let me tell you, I love the soft, sheer color that’s very natural but gives a hint of glimmer. Love it!

It’s available in six beautiful shades for $C40.50 sold separately in case you’re curious.

Do you like the look of this blush from Lancôme ?

lancome cosmetics holiday gift bag

I got here lots of packet samples with my Lancôme purchases. I’ve started trying some and here are my thoughts and opinion.

Clarins I liked these beauty flash balm, extra firming night cream and exfoliating cleanser, it’s got me interested in trying other Clarins skin care products in full size.

Shiseido  I don’t think I’ve ever used a Power Infusing Concentrate that hasn’t done its job and left my skin feeling smooth, soothing fresh and smells amazing. This is no exception.

IDC – This costs like a million dollars and I’ve used better that cost 99% less. IDC is also a Canadian brand which is stepping up to skin care department recently.

Jouviance –  I’ve been curious about Jouviance skincare line as I love Canadian brand, but this had a tendency to cause me breakout. Bummer! I’ve sensitive skin and I can tell if the product cause me any breakout on the same day. But just to make sure I’m really sensitive to this Powerful Antioxidant Moisturizer, I tried it again the second day and I get the same result. So, I stop and confirm this isn’t working out for me.

Prada – for men. I love how my honey bear smells wearing Prada eau de toilette. Aahhh!!! So sporty, makes me want to hug him even more LOL! A perfect gift for your love ones this holiday season. Head over to Pharmaprix or Shoppers and ask for a tester sample. You’re going to make someone truly happy!
