Blogtober* Book Of The Week

Hi guys, today I’ll be sharing with you an extraordinary blog post I haven’t written before. But hey, if you continue reading- chances are there is extraordinary in the ordinary.

Everyone knows who Oprah Winfrey is. Unless you’re a big fan, though, you may not have heard of a book she has written, called What I Know For Sure. I used to watch her TV Show and I must admit that I really like and admire her for example her fortitude, her charisma and the way she carry herself.

I saw this book and thought, meh, why not? And let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

As I was spending my weekend catching up with my reading with this book on hand “What I know For Sure” by Oprah Winfrey, all the emotion from each essay  struck right to the core of my being. It was emotional and yet empowering. It’s a great book to have by your bedside. Pick it up or put it down.

Today, I’m going to share a few phrases of her essay that speaks the most to me.

What I know for sure is that giving yourself time to just be is essential to fulfilling yourself as a human being. So, I give myself Sundays. I’ll be in pajamas all day or go to church. Most times, I just do nothing and let my brain and body decompress.

What I know for sure is that I hope you aren’t s wrapped up with the non-essentials stuff that you forget to really enjoy yourself, because this moment is about to be over. I hope you’ll look back and remember today as the day you decided to make every one count. When you get the chance to sit it out or to dance, I hope you dance.

I know for sure – if you make time for a little gratitude every day, you’ll be amazed by the results.

After reading her book, if you’re anything like me, it’ll have you asking yourself a lot of questions. Am I falling into the same traps? Am I truly happy, or am I lying to myself? Is my life heading in the right direction?

Really, it made me ask myself whether I am being completely true to myself.

Me: What I know for sure that time waits for no one. Get up, keep moving. Full speed ahead. When I look myself in the mirror, the reflection of a young girl is no more. The one standing is a middle age woman staring back. “As I reached another milestone in humility, utmost thanksgiving and joy. Knowing for sure that grace has brought be safe this far and grace will lead me home”.

I’m not going to spoil it for you guys, so, it’s better if you read this book yourself. What I want you to know is that it’s more blessed to give than to receive. I think it’s also a lot of more fun. I’m sure many of you could relate. Nothing makes me happier than a gift well given and joyfully accepted. I give as I feel.

As this post comes to an end… I want you to do the same and start giving.

Now, are you blessed? What do you know for sure? Tell me what’s your highest achievement? Share your thoughts in the comment section. I love to read your answers.

Many thanks to all who have stick around and my heartfelt gratitude for the encouragements and inspiring comments that keeps me going. I truly appreciate that.

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and I can’t wait to see you again on the next one. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

Blogtober* Natural Beauty Makeup

Hey guys!  Today, I’ve been lucky enough to be doing this collaboration with Maison Jacynthe. Shout out to my dear friend Ingrid from Curly Spring Blossom for hooking me up with this brand. She is the most lovely and friendly girl I’ve known and I’m telling you guys to subscribe to her blog if you haven’t already.

A brief history: Maison Jacynthe was founded in September 2014 by Jacynthe René, an artist and producers known for her roles in The Adventure of Pluto Nash, Memories Unlocked and Snake Eyes. She has an online magazine at

I’m so excited to be able to share today’s post today with you and so let’s get to it.

Press samples*

The latest of which this makeup line was just launched on August 28th and has gained popularity since. Do you know that Maison Jacynthe has nearly 60,000 clients to endorse it!

When I opened these makeup products, I know immediately that I’m going to love them. It just blew my mind to see how amazing and gorgeous the packaging of the bullet tube.

Firstly for the blush. This is an incredible product in the shade Roméo for $26.00. Another gorgeous shade selection is Juliette (a Rosy Pink shade).

Extremely pigmented on formulation and I also noticed that it has an amazing hint of scents to it. This product stays true to its color and a little goes a long way. Just a gentle swipe on the blush is all you need to apply on both cheeks. It goes on so smoothly and soft. I’m in love!

Here’s the color swatch on bare hands. Isn’t it gorgeous!

It feels creamy to touch and did I mentioned that I just love the pigmentation. On top of that must I say that the staying power is amazing too.

The concealer is one of the aspect I like of the parcel. I’m very excited to try this. The texture is creamy, soft and it blends very nicely with a beauty blender and/or concealer brush. And you’d get an unbelievable effect from it.

It may seems expensive at first glance of $29.00 but considering a product that actually work for all skin type and they’re 100% natural. It’s definitely worth the investment.

I’ve a closed up swatch here (Medium Beige) in case you’re curious on the color tone. Another shade available online is in the shade Light Beige. This product also gives a matte finish to your look.

Moving on to the next product is their Lipstick in Rosewood. I chose this color specifically for fall. There are 9 shades in the line-up. The color ranges from coral, pink to moka and more.

I love the solid packaging of this lipstick. It looks really luxe and sleek.

This lipstick wears incredibly well, staying even and comfortable with a rich, moisturizing feel to them.

I do think that the lipstick is a little more pricey than the regular bullets, but I’m totally obsessed already.

Overall, I’m seriously impressed with these products from Maison Jaycnthe. There really is something for everyone and for many who’s looking for natural and cruelty free makeup. If you’re in the market for a blush, concealer or lipstick, check these out at their website.

What’s incredibly appealing about Maison Jacynthe is that their products are made without chemicals. They use only 100% natural and active ingredients in their line. Last year, they joined PETA‘s Beauty Without Bunnies Program as one of their cruelty free companies.

What do you think guys? Will you be checking these out soon? Comment below your reply. I love to read your comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by and read. I hope to see you all again on my next blog.

Blogging Schedule

Hey guys! Hope your week were great. Today, I thought to share with you guys my blogging schedule, if you care.

I’ve been blogging since two years ago and I’ve never stopped ever since. I used to blog seven times a week consistently on the first year but decided to cut it down to 4 times a week when I felt it became too overwhelming for me. I was stressed out and then I remembered why I blog in the first place.

I’ve been following this schedule for a year now and it’s time I wanted to spice up a little by adding the topics of what I’ll post on the schedule.

For example: On Promo Monday, I’ll post either one of the topics. It could be a beauty haul, lifestyle or fashion haul.

So I’ve put up a schedule which works best for me and hope for you too. I’m always looking for ways to tweak my system to make it more efficient, effective and inspiring. A way to consistently blogging without burning out. Blogging could be stressful at times when there is a deadline to meet.

How do I keep up? Well, here’s the thing you might want to know (maybe you already know) – Never wait until you have enough time to write the post. If you miss that very important moment of being inspired, that article may never happen. This is very important !

Here’s what you’ll find in this blog?

blog post schedules

I’ll be posting 4-5 times a week based on this schedule. I’ll also be posting Blogtober post every Saturday for the month October. If you like to add your requests that you want me to post, then don’t forget to leave your comments below.

How do you keep yourself motivated and inspired? How do you keep producing fresh content without burning out?

Thank you for reading my post and happy blogging. Hope to see you all again on the next blog. Bye!
