For those of you who are a regular readers know that I love Bourjois’s makeup line and for those who aren’t now you do! I have been slowly putting up one piece at a time of the puzzle everytime I picked up a bourjois makeup. well, it’s a long way to go but I’m adarmant to finish my puzzle one day.
I picked this lovely round pot of Bourjois illuminating touch powder blush in96 Rose Universal which is in coral shade. Pretty packaging ith a mirror and a semi-circle brush that fits in the pot. Net wt: 0.05 oz
I did a swatch on my fingers and see how richly pigmented this formula runs. It’s smooth and soft. The offside of this blush is that it’s very shimmery and feels like too much of glitering happening on my face as I applied it on. It does says blush but obviously it is more of a highlighter by the texture of it’s light and sheer finish. I put them to my cheekbones and then added a touch on my browbone as a highlighter and it does work beautifully except with too much shimmer for me.
Oooo! It’s so blendable and look at the shimmer that it gives. I’m not quite a shimmer person but I might use it with my matte finish blusher. I think this illuminating touch blush is good to be worn for evening out or for going to a party.
Anyhow, I like it if it wasn’t as shimmery but on the contrary I’ll have to say I’m just liking it averagely. I’m sure this illuminator will lift up a dull skin to a radiant and fresher feel. But it just didn’t work so much for me personally and for those who loves shimmer highlighter, then this product will be perfect for you.
So, that’s it for my 2 cents opnion and hope to see you guys again tomorrow for another new blog.
Hey guys! Bourjois is a brand that I am a big fan of. I gave many positive reviews on their foundation and lipsticks and etc… and it has never let me down. I’m so thrilled to try this eyeliner which is this Khol & Contour eyeliner in Bronze Raffine. It’s a really nice color of Bronze-y shade. There are 7 different color shades available on their website but I got mine from Winners. You can also find it at Amazon for $12.90 but they only have it on Ultra Black.
The color payoff is definitely good as compared to other kohl pencils which I have tried before so far. It designed to be worn at the inner and outer rim of the eyes. Today I’m reviewing this Bronze Raffine shade and not Ultra Black. This kohl pencil has quite an intense line even with a single swipe as the swatch below.
It glides very smoothly and it does not sting the waterline. With its soft formula, I can easily create a smudge look around my eyes and when it’s sharpened, the pencil draws an accurate lines. This would be a nice liner to draw on waterline and to make smoky eyes look distinctively beautiful. Basically, this Khol pencil can be used for waterline, upper and lower lash line.
I made a single swipe swatch to show that it soft and doesn’t drag on skin. Bourjois says that this Khol eyeliner pencil has a long lasting wear of 16 hours and it’s waterproof. Meaning for drawing waterline, this kohl pencil will not be a problem, after all it’s waterproof. Yay!!
Overall, I do like this khol eyeliner pencil and I’m happy that it was my autumn liner purchased which I won’t regret getting. On top of that, I’m planning to get another Ultra Black shade for a more intense line finish for an extreme smoky eye look.
So, that’s all for my take on this bourjois Khol liner and hope you find this helpful.

Hey guys, I’m back for another lipstick review on Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick. I got this on the weekend before I did my beauty haul last Friday. I got this one in 08 Rose Studio. Net wt: 0.12 oz.
I simply love this sleek lipstick and even more for the packaging. On top of that it’s also a Bourjois brand. The rose color is not actually my favorite color shade but I bought it because of the packaging.
So, I have to tried it on for this review and oh wow!!! I’ve never wore such a pretty pink lipsticks on me. It’s not too pink and the texture seems to make my undertone less profound. Meaning, it doesn’t make me look darker and I’m so glad that it feels smooth and it glides so well. At the beginning I wasn’t sure when I will wear this color but I think I know now (giggling!!!)
The swatch color looks fuchsia but look at this gorgeous lip color. There are 18 other shades available and the price is reasonable too. It says to have 10 hours hydration.
My lips feels moist and smooth. Rich pigmentation and soft on lips. It has a little shimmery finish but I can’t stop but keep looking at the mirror in amazement! I’m now so in love with this Rouge Edition lipstick and I’ll probably get another in their Rouge Jet Set in red.
I like to know if you love pink or red lipsticks? Please share on the comment below.
Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation (CN$27.00 for 1 fl oz) is a review that I have been looking forward to write. I picked up this foundation a couple of months ago when I discovered it at Shoppers Drug Mart (a Canadian drugstore chain). Bear in mind to go to bigger drugstore if you are looking since smaller store doesn’t carry Bourjois or Stilla or higher end brands. Oh yes, Bourjois is a french makeup company with some distributions in Canada and also in Europe and Asia.
They have six color shades to choose from and I got mine in No. 55 (Dark beige). Perfect color shade for my skin tone. I have dry skin and warm color undertone. I loved the feel of this foundation. I have been trying it out for the past few weeks and was satisfied with the texture and the nice fruity scents. I love how it blends in nicely and it feels light and not sticky. It is like not wearing a foundation due to the color pay-off. This foundation has medium coverage and could be build up without looking cakey. It does cover dry patches on my skin but with a little concealer it works wonderful. Once the foundation set in, my skin feels smooth and soft.
It also claimed to give 16 hours of radiance boosting and revived complexion. My face does looked more radiant and fresh. After about 3-4 hours later when I checked on the mirror, I saw a little bit of shine on my T-zone. But that’s about it on the downside. Just pad some setting powder and good to roll.
The glass bottle packaging was average I would say. But with the pump it makes quite a lot of difference. Easy to use and limit wastage (accidently pour too much) and hygenic.
I am very happy that I finally found an amazing foundation that works for me. The price was a bit steep but overall it was a great product to have. Great value for money in my opinion, given a little of this product goes a long way.
Let me know what’s your favorite foundation? What are other foundations you have tried before that works or may not work for you. Make sure to leave your comment below : )) Thx.
