Cover Girl Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation- Review

cover girl natureluxe cream

I got this at the Dollar store for $3.00. Truth been said, I much prefer BB/CC creams but this Cover Girl Natureluxe in 315 Bamboo color looks appealing that I decided to pick this one and share my review with all of you here.

This is a good foundation, it smells nice, applies evenly, and does not make sensitive skin break out. It lasts about the average time of a foundation, which is about 6-8 hours. This medium coverage foundation has a whipped texture which feels light on my skin, leaving me with a semi-dewy finish. It feels smooth and easy to apply and would be great if you’re beginners. I want to point it out that it’s definitely not a full coverage foundation if that’s what you’re looking.

It has a slight scents and I believed it infused with cucumber water and jojoba extracts. I like the feel and like how it goes on. It feels feather light on skin with a nice dewy finish. Would be great for normal to dry skin person.

I know that this foundation had been discontinued by Cover Girl. I can’t be sure if you can still get this foundation at your drugstore on clearance, if it’s on sale then it’s worth the try. But honestly if it’s for $11.99 I definitely wouldn’t get it. In  my opinion, I think that it’s a little pricey for a drugstore product since you can get an equivalent quality or if not better coverage foundation compares to other drugstore counterpart foundations.

I’m a happy bunny but I do think that those of you with oilier skin types who relied on this foundation might be disappointed.

I can really feel the difference and it works so much better on my skin. It blends in much better whilst still keeping the coverage, just with a bit of added glow. Don’t get me wrong that I don’t like full coverage but when I have good skin days, I prefer wearing a lighter coverage formula.

Overall, I think this is a good foundation, especially for people with normal to dry skin that aren’t sensitive to scents. Package is cute, practical and hygienic. I’ve dry complexion skin so wearing this foundation doesn’t make my face looks cakey. So yay!

Let me know if you’ve tried the new formula and what you think? Comment down below!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read. Stay Beautiful!

Hell Yay! Eyeshadow To Buy

But chances are, you’ve heard of it.

covergirl for blue eyes

Yes, it’s the Covergirl drugstore eyeshadow which I happened to pick recently at the Dollar store. I usually past by Covergirl eyeshadows but not this time. I was drawn first to the price and second the pretty colors. When can you get a Covergirl eye brightening eyeshadow palette for only $3.00, right!

I wear shadow almost everyday and I’ll usually opt for neutral tones but I also love to try different shades for a change. You could revisit the previous post by clicking the link here.

Anyways, let’s talk about this Covergirl Exact Eyelights Quad. So the shades I tried, green and blue are quite forgiving on my brown eyes. It’s designed to make your eye look good from day to night.

The bonus is I got an extra Covergirl regular size brush that comes with this eyeshadow. Just junk the sponge applicator in the trash and use your eyeshadow blending brush instead. I love the fact that this brush really works. YAY!

Left to Right: Blue, Green, Peach, Champagne

I only have this one shade to show you, which is Radiant Blues, and I enjoyed this quite a bit. Nice color selection in a small palette which I like on myself. I figured it’s sheer enough to let your natural blue eyes looks more popped.

Again, I’m no shadow expert, but I’d say that’s some pretty good colour payoff. And just look at that blue! So pretty. Color swatch without eye base or primer on bare arm. I picked these shadows directly from the pan when swatching. Note to remember, this picture couldn’t do it justice but if you like to get more intense colors with these shadows, try with eye primer on.

As for the feel, it’s smooth to touch with nice pigments on.

But what about how it actually wears?

So like I said, nothing groundbreaking here, just an easy-to-apply product that feels great and looks even better! If you’re looking for a drugstore or high street brand to test out some shadows, I’d say go for it quickly for this product seems to have been discontinued and replaced by the new shade (EYE ENHANCERS 4-KIT SHADOWS) and packaging. But never fear, the closest shade I found is the “Tropical Fusion” 4-kit shadows for blue eyes, babes.

Beauty Haul! Target mini beauty makeup haul

Target mini makeup haul

It’s that time, my beauty mini makeup haul has landed. Yes!!! I went shopping again at Target and got some beauty bits that I really want to try. I’m thrilled to share some of  my haul today with you.

So here is the little haul of what I’ve purchased!

I have wanted to try the Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral palette for a while and so I decided that it’s time for me to get it. It’s a little bit expensive for a small palette eyeshadow but I’m all in for this one. I picked up this gorgeous color Copper Peach palette in 0.20 oz and I know that I’m pretty sure going to have lots of fun playing with these colors.

I really want to talk more on each of the makeup that I just picked up. So, I will start off with this Pixi palette. So, many fun colors to play with, I’ll be busy for weeks. I would definitely give my thoughts and opinion once I have tried them including swatches etc in my next blog.

nyc new trio eyeshadow

Next up is the NYC New Trio Eyeshadow in 789 on West Vintage. Trying new colors are one of my favorite things to explore. So, I like this West vintage eyeshadow and absolutely doesn’t mind giving it a try. I got mine for less than $3.00 for 0.15oz depending on where you live. Pretty intense color palette and it came with a duo-end tiny little brush. Will have my review up soon.

Next in line is the Maybelline Fit Me Octinoxate lotion with SPF18 . I got hold of this one in 315 on Soft Honey (1 fl oz) which was on special for $6.99. I made a color swatch and the color tone seems to pretty much complement my skin tone. Behind the bottle it does mentioned matches natural tones, blends seamlessly and let skin breathe. I’m not here to do a full blown review, don’t panic. Ha!Ha!

Finally, I also like to share with you this Cover Girl Pressed Powder in  715 on translucent medium. Compact powder is 0.32 oz for $6.99 (regular price $8.99) at Target. In the next few days, I will be using these pressed powder with my foundation and will share my experience with you as we go along.

Last item in my haul will be the NYC Show Time Mascara in 844 on Extreme Black. This mascara has shorter brush and it’s waterproof. Yeah!!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I’m off to prepare some yummy lunch.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
