Best Summer Drugstore Nail Polishes – Review & Swatches

When I saw these Sinful Colors nail colors collection at my local Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drug Mart) I couldn’t help but picked up a few of their spring-summer nail colors that caught my eyes. This is a collective best summer drugstore nail polishes which I’ve been wearing from spring through summer.

I believe I got some nail colors from my local Dollarama and also Walmart if I remember correctly. And they’re like $1.50 and $2.00 a bottle depending where you got them. It’s for 0.5 fl oz of products. A fairly good amount for the price.

I like sharing my NOTW (nail of the week) on my Instagram and other social media scheduled every weekend. If you’re curious to see my weekend manicure or what color nails I’m wearing then hit here to go to my Instagram.

Okay, enough of me babbling and more serious talk. I’ve to say that Sinful Colors makes really good nail polishes and I’ve been really impressed by it. I’ve tried many difference drugstore brands such as OPI, ESSIE, L’oreal, Wet n Wild and this seems to have the staying power on par with the rest.  And what’s even better is that they’re dirt cheap! You got to love the price tag.

Here is the instagram picture I took of the polish. This really doesn’t do it justice. It looks much better in person when sunshine glare isn’t interfering with seeing how rich this color is.

I was wearing a Purple and Fuchsia shades nail color, with an added finishing touch of Revlon in 441 Radiant. So what do you guys think? Comment below, alright!

  • A wide color selection to choose from
  • Affordable price
  • Available in many drugstores
  • No streaking
  • Semi-transparent that can build up to complete opacity
  • Long staying power especially on the toes (stayed on for a month)
  • No chipping for a week

  • Dries slowly
  • Needs a few coats to get the opacity finish

Recommend: Yes, you got to try them. I’ll be going back to pick up more shades for the coming Fall. This wraps up my today’s best drugstore nail post which based on their quality and affordable prices.

Tell me which color have you collected from Sinful Colors collection line? I love to hear your comments.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading this post and thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope to see guys again on my next post. Bye!

Sharon xoxo

Schnapps Out Of It! OPI Nail Polish

OPI Nail POlish

Today, I’m going to do one more Dollar store review on the OPI Nail Polish I picked up recently. I’ve put a link here if you missed the previous post (full review).

I’ll be starting my holiday wish list soon and to warm up the holiday spirit, I’m jumping into a intermediary nail polish color first. A shade which is not to bright or bold red yet 😉

I had a drugstore brand OPI Nail Polish that I was in LOVE with. I bought this by eye for the color and it was perfect! The shade to review is this beautiful.  Schnapps Out Of It by OPI!

For $3.00 at Dollar Store instead of $9.00 at a drugstore, I’m definitely loving the shade and the price lol! An epic deal, if you asked me.

This is a brown/peachy/rosy color that’s almost a creme finish, with just a tiny bit of pearliness to it. To me, it looks like a pretty Terracotta shade which I really like. Net wt: 0.5 fl oz in a staple glass OPI bottle. I feel that it applies easily and has good opacity. It goes completely opaque when it’s in 1-2 coats and it dried easily and is not streaky. The formula applies evenly and wears well which is a big plus if you are rough on your hands. It lasts about 4-5 days on me (since I’m very hard on my nails) so I was well pleased.

It’s a great color, but some might find it too mature or not the classic red for the Holiday but I want to try a warm up color for the season and “Just because …”. Glad to report in this review that I’ve been wearing OPI nail polish the past few times and everytime I wear it, I’m always reminded of how much I like this polish. 🙂

Up closed picture of the tip applicator. It picked up the formula nicely and I’m going to mention it again, easy to blend.

One coat of the nail polish and you can immediately see how opaque it was without top coat.

The color is very neutral and can be worn at the office and anywhere without screaming ” I’m wearing nail polish!!”… It’s a good option if one is tired of wearing red or nude. It literally goes with everything! I fully recommend this product. As for me, I’ll totally repurchase this OPI nail polish again!

Which color nail polish are you rocking this Holiday? I love to hear your comments below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read. Stay Beautiful!

$2 Nail Polish Drugstore Haul

nail polishes

Happy haul day friends, I hope you’re all having a lovely warm weekend with your family and friends ❤ I decided to write a beauty post on my latest drugstore haul which are all about nail polishes. These are some of the products I picked from Shoppers Drug Mart.

Yes, a $2 nail polish which I couldn’t resist and you heard it right. For 2 BUCKS ONLY! Continue reading …

Rimmel 60 seconds Nail Polish in Lose Your Lingerie in pastel pink is a pretty color to wear for spring. True to its claim of 60 seconds dry with one coat. I like the packaging with the postage stamp  of Rita Ora on this bottle. The brush is short and the formula is easy to apply. The net wt: 0.2 oz and available in 6 different fast drying shades.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Taupe on Trend is a pretty color for everyday wear. I find that the texture is a little thin when I applied it on. It is uneven and need to apply a few times in order to get the perfect coverage. The finishing is quite opaque and if you love glossy nails then top coat will help. I have been wearing this for a week now on my toes and no chipping so far. Color Show arrives in 48 trend setting shades that pleases your nails.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Polish in Lemon Drop is a bright lemonade yellow color which I love to wear for spring and summer. This is such a fun color to wear and easy to apply. To get the maximum amazing results, I put 2-3 coats for a opaque appearance 😛 The brush applicator is short but get to do its job well. Available in 18 brilliant shades.

Revlon Nail Enamel in Radiant. This glittery color reminds me of the Cinderella beauty collection from Mac. This nail polish is blue tinted clear base with blue glitters, large green and silver hexagon shaped. Due to that this Radiant has clear base, it make this nail polish more versatile since you can layered in any layer you want. If you love the glittery finish, this Radiant glam will be something you will like. The texture is thick but manageable.

Are you a pastel nail polish lover? Let me know in the comment section below which is your favorite nail polish so that I can check them out. I enjoy picking up spring/summer nail polish especially when they’re on sale.

Thank you for stopping by.
