Hi guys! Have you heard of Elf Cosmetics Color Correcting Stick yet or what’s it for? If you don’t then grab a chair and continue reading till the end.
Each color corrector has its own function:
Green: Reduces redness.
Lavender: Corrects a tired, pallid and yellow complexion and creates a fresh and immaculate complexion.
Yellow: Minimizes extremely dark pigmentation spots and blueish dark circles.
Apricot: Corrects dark spots and dark circles. Also suitable for more olive-colored skin types.
Color Correcting Sticks are concealers that help balance and correct skin tone for a flawless look. The Peach illuminates and conceals dark circles for light skin tone while the Orange is for deeper skin tones. I just picked up one product from this range since that’s what I wanted to try for my under eye circles.
It says on elf website – the peach color helps to illuminate and conceal dark circles or hyper-pigmentation on light skin tones. This formula is infused with Vitamin E to help hydrate the skin which I think is great for the undereye circles.
In case you haven’t heard, all elf products are cruelty free and 100% vegan.
The consistency is right and it works well. I really enjoy wearing this for the first time. I have to say though that the formula is a little creamy compared to others that I’ve tried over the past but I love how easy it is to blend. You get a lot of product in each stick. It looks like a pencil crayon that you twist the end to click up more products.
This lightweight finishing cream to powder is great for all skin tones enhancing the look of foundation or bare-skin. It’s quite a thick formula and goes on quite heavy but the good thing about it is that it blends out amazingly. I’m just using my fingers to blend it out. It doesn’t really set or anything which means it gives me time to blend out. It’s a thick creamy formula that’s not heavy under the eyes and doesn’t get cakey.
What I like about this corrector is that it neutralizes my dark circles very very well. I’m quite impressed!
I’m going to keep trying this as it blends flawlessly that it’s not obvious I’m wearing a color corrector to hide my dark circles. This could be my new found love! I think it’s an amazing find especially for I think it was like less than CAD$6. Good job elf!
So that’s it for my first impression review and hope this helps. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hey everyone! The past weekend shopping involves a stop to my local drugstore to pick up a few skincare products to try out for you guys. I was tempted to go all the way out but reminded myself that I’ve way too many skincare products, and I opted for just two products that I actually need right now.
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’m obsessed with pretty much every Aveeno product new or old. I’m at that age where taking care of my skin is no longer an option but a necessity. I’ve been loving their products since day one of my blogging days and none has yet to disappoint. It’s safe for me to say that Aveeno is an amazing drugstore brand when it comes to being affordable and convenient.
Long story short, I picked up Aveeno Makeup Removing Cleanser and their Fresh Essentials Daily Exfoliating Scrub which I’ve been so excited to try out.
I’d have to say that I’m quite surprised with the formula of this corrector. I was expecting it to be a little thicker in consistency to other products that I’ve tried but this one is just right. It’s a thin cream that dries up fast which is good since you’re supposed to use it in addition to the moisturizer and other makeup stuff. It has a natural and mild scents that’s not irritating nor too overwhelming. I find it pleasant and quite like it to be honest.
It says on the packaging to apply directly to areas with uneven tone and dark spots twice a day before your moisturizer.
There’s a particular uneven skin tone on my left cheek that I want it gone. So, I’m going to continue testing it out and update you guys with the development in another 2-3 weeks.
My current favorite go to Makeup Removing Cleanser has to be the Aveeno Positively Radiant for smooth and soft skin. The soy extract works incredibly well to remove makeup and cleans my skin while keeping it radiant.
Trust me, this cleanser is gentle and it cleans all the makeup and residues right away leaving skin smooth and soft. Just look at this insanely glorious foaming happening here. My skin is screaming with joy right now.
For the purpose of this first impression review, I did my makeup early in the morning and then use this makeup remover to cleanse my entire face and it works so well. I’m pleasantly surprised on how effective it cleans and make my skin feels so fresh and not drying at all. My skin feels really good, I mean it feels great!
I was looking for an exfoliator that’s more natural and I really like this daily scrub. The mini beads are quite subtle and gentle that it’s hardly noticeable compares to other brands that I’ve tried in the past. It says on the packaging that it’s for daily exfoliating but I’m going to stick with my routine of 2-3 times a week.
One thing to remember is that this is a exfoliating scrub and not a cleanser so don’t expect it to foam or lather. I’ve had no break outs or dryness while using this. I can immediately notice the difference on my skin tone after I exfoliate and rinsed. My skin looks brighter and feels so smooth. It feels like a layer of protection covering them.
I love the amazing scents and the mild texture is just so relaxing while leaving my skin feeling fresh, clean and smooth. The scents doesn’t bother me at all because I love a good fresh and clean smell after cleaning. I’m not overly concerned with scented skincare when it comes to all natural ingredients used in making of these products. I’m not telling you this is good or bad, you’ve to decide it for yourself. All I’m saying is that it has a fragrance, a little on the strong side so if you’re sensitive to that then this may not be for you. But if you’re like me and love a nice scented southernwood plants than you’re going to like this one.
This really met all my expectations and I’m excited to try more stuff from Aveeno. You can find all the products I mentioned here at your local drugstores or nearby Walmart.
Have you tried any of Aveeno’s product yet? What are some of your favorites? Leave me a comment and tell me down below!

I wanted to share this Revlon Nearly Naked foundation review with you guys and are excited to jump in immediately.
The shade I picked for this Nearly Naked Makeup is in 230 Nutmeg with net wt: 1 fl oz. It has a good selection of color ranges available for a drugstore brand. I got this from Wal-mart but it’s available at Target, Ulta and local drugstores too.
It is lightweight and has good decent coverage. I notice that the formula is a little runny. This formula is buildable and the color match is spot on.
I’m in love with this Nearly Naked foundation. It gives my skin a happy and healthy glow. When apply on skin you won’t feel the foundation because it’s weightless as if are nearly naked. Skin doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. I will recommend this to my friends who has drier skin type since…
These are products that are new to me and I snapped them before they’re all gone.
There are two products in this haul and each is more exciting than the next.
Let’s start with the Essence Unforgettable Kiss Duo Blush. Available in two shades, the formula is decently pigmented but still adds a light and luminous look to the skin.
I absolutely adore the packaging and love the color blushes.Essence Unforgettable Kiss with two shades in each blush you can use it whichever way you like. I’ve either been dipping my brush in all two or using each individual shade for a pop of color.
If you’ve fair skin type then the shade 02 in Pink Me would look gorgeous on you. I’ve been loving the shade Nothing But Lovestoned now as it gives a gorgeous flush and has a slight sheen to it which really illuminates my cheeks.
Who is with me on this one, I’m a sucker for anything cute. So, I instantly like the heart shaped packaging with little hearts printed on with essence logo on it.
I wanted to pick both shade so that I can show you here in my blog. Both shades are matte so they have a really natural finish on the skin once blended.
Check out this Pink Me swatches on bare arm. Pretty color, don’t you think?
Next is the other blush in Nothing But Lovestoned color swatch. The finishing is a bit faded and a tad powdery, but it don’t really bothers me. I like that it could be layered to your desired look.
If you like product that’s not over the top or if you’re on a budget that you don’t want to spend more than $5 for a blush then I think this are an awesome choice.
I also picked up some of these gorgeous lookingMaybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments while I was there. It was on the liquidation rack for $2.00 and so I grabbed three of the shades that shouts out to me. I really love their color range.
Maybelline really step up with many incredible shades for this collection.
When you think that it’s really very hard to work with where they will get into your face and it’d fall down everywhere but it was actually darn easy. The actual pots itself do gets a bit messy because of the pigments and you do want to pick up a tissue and dabbed your brush in it and brush the excess away.
My favorite color is the Breaking Bronze. Can you tell? It has such gorgeous shade.
Next, I picked up this Wild Gold which is quite pretty. I’m so excited to wear it this summer.
These shades are so pretty and such sophisticated on lids and they’re not overly shimmery or glittery.
Definitely check out my other blog I’ll link below and social media.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I’ll see you guys again on the next one. Bye!

If you have not read or check out my website, here are the update. Yes, updates are pretty boring isn’t it!
I can’t believe it’s already mid June! Can you? We’re half way through the year! I’e been trying out this limited edition Age Perfect Cell Renewal Night Cream for a month now and I’m ready to share my thoughts and opinion on this product.
I’ll be honest, I normally spend a lot of money on my skin care products but this drugstore L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Night Cream just floored me over. I’ve never been so excited since my Lancome Renergie Lift Multi Action Cream which I’ve gone through it a couple of weeks ago.
Then I saw this product at Winners and was hesitant at first to get it but I did since it was only CAD$5.99 for the net wt: 0.5 oz. And oh boy! So glad I did.
I like that it comes in a jar instead of a pump bottle. The packaging is heavy and solid feeling.
Ever since I have been using the L’Oreal Age Perfect creams, people have been telling me that my skin looks really good. I’ve also noticed that I’m been having many good skin days lately. So yay!
In case, you don’t know, let me brief you about my skin. I’ve a mature skin type with combination to dry skin but this product really makes my skin feeling amazingly smooth and healthy. I couldn’t find other good thing to say except, it’s impressively moisturizing and creamy.
The fragrance is noticeably there when you apply them but fades quickly. I wasn’t so bothered by the scents.
When I first put it on at night, the fine lines on the side of y mouth vanish, which I found pretty incredible!
After trying this for the last 3 weeks, I’m very happy with the results. The formula does make my skin feel firmer and hydrated. Loving this right now.
I’m almost three quarter way through this jar and will definitely repurchase.
Overall, I honestly feel that you cannot see the results in a couple of days but after two or three weeks after, you will see a huge difference. Highly recommended!
This would be a good alternative for my $70.00 night cream when I’m on a budget buy. If you have a dry skin type and would like to venture into high street brands, this L’Oreal Age Perfect is made for you.
What do you think of this product? Have you tried any of L’Oreal’s products that works on you? I love to hear your comments.
As usual, thank you for stopping by to read. I’ll see you again on the next one. Bye!
