Go Nude! $4 Eyeshadow Palette by Risqué Beauté

I’m super excited to to share with you my latest love that I just picked up over the weekend. This palette is so affordable and it’s going to be my latest day-to-day go to for quick and beautiful eye look.

I bought this at Dollarama and I swatched it in the store. It’s so pigmented that I’ve to get it but is it justifiable?

In short yes! The GO Nude Eyeshadow Palette is a stunning collection and I’m going to tell you why.

First up for the packaging. The palette comes in a pink and sturdy metal casing.  It’s a slim palette considering it’s size, so convenient for travelling and popping into larger makeup bags. I love that they use metal packaging for this kind of palette as opposed to cardboard given the price is only $4.

It says on the packaging that this palette is Not Tested on Animals but I can’t find anywhere on the website to confirm this.

The hinge makes it easy to open and close the lid. The packaging is slim and sleek which I really appreciate. The pink color design is so pretty and girly.

Does this reminds you of the Naked Palette or what? Like honestly just this packaging it reminds me so much of it.

In terms of the shades, there are a total of 12 in the palette mainly consist of neutral nude shades. There is a great selection of both matte and shimmery shades, with the textures and formulations being on point throughout. You get 9 matte shades thrown in the mix and the shades are of warm, cool and neutral tones. When it comes to texture, they’re creamy and smooth to apply. They blend beautifully.

You’ll get a full size mirror and as you can see you get a total of twelve beautiful shades for less $5 a palette.

I believe it comes with a dual ended applicator like those of Naked Palette but the palette I got is missing a brush. I’m not completely bummed since I don’t really care about palette brush anyways.

Here are the colors up closed. I want to do it a few up close shots for you guys.

I’ll go ahead and swatch all these eyeshadows and as always I applied these shadow swatches on my bare hand.

I can see this becoming one of my go to palettes this year as the shades are so me. If you want to get your hands on one I’d recommend you heading to your nearest dollar store before they’re out of stock. However, it seems to be available on ebay or amazon website.

Will you be picking this up? What do you guys think? Share it in the comment below.

Thank you guys for taking the time to read and I hope this was helpful for you. I’ll talk to you guys very soon. Bye!

Wet n Wild Cruelty Free Eyeliner Pencil

Hey beauties,

Guess what I happened several days ago at Walmart? I was planning to try on the Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeliner Pencil  but since I was in a rush I accidentally picked up the Wet n Wild Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil instead. I read Color Icon and just pick it but didn’t read the shimmery part 😦 I realised it only after I tried it on.

I got mine in 154 Black with net wt: 0.03 oz for $1.87 on sale price at Walmart.

This shimmer liner is rich and creamy in formula. It glides like butter on my lash line and it blends effortlessly. But when I looked closer I noticed my eyes were shimmering. The thing is that I’ve sensitive eyes but I’m surprised that this eyeliner doesn’t irritate my eyes like some eyeliner general do especially when it comes with glitter.

If you have been following my blog, you know the meaning of the bunny logo. Yes, it means it’s Not tested on animals which translate to cruelty free. Wet n Wild is a drugstore brand which participate in the cruelty free program. This is a new formulated color icon that has such great pigmentation and is fortified with vitamin E acetate to offer long lasting color.

In this shimmer color icon eyeliner category, there are four shimmery shades available. These eyeliners are not expensive at all and work really well. The downside is there’s only a few shades to choose from and you need to sharpen this pencil.

In my opinion, I feel that the texture of this color icon liner feels like the kohl pencils which I love. And as far as the pigmentation goes, I’ll say it vary from shade to shade, for instance Black is not an intense black but soft black. But when i put it on, it feels very pigmented and creamy.

Available at any drugstores, Walmart, ebay, walgreen and Wet n Wild online website. For only less than $2.00 I think it’s extremely affordable way to experiment with colors and try some shades you wouldn’t wear. If you’re looking for an eyeliner that bedazzle your eyes without been irritated by the glitters then you’ll like this Wet n Wild Color Icon Shimmer Eyeliner ❤

Overall, I wouldn’t mind picking this Black Shimmer Eyeliner at all. I wouldn’t have pick it if it wasn’t by mistake and I’m glad I did.

Do you already own any Color icon Shimmer Eyeliners? I’d love to hear from you! Don’t forget to leave your comment below.

Thank you for taking the time to read 🙂

The Urban Decay Mariposa Palette|Swatches|Review

Hey beautiful! Today, I’ll be reviewing a recently acquired item from Urban Decay. It’s a beautiful eyeshadow palette which I adore. Oh my gosh! I’m so thrilled to do the color swatches and my thoughts on this eyeshadow palette.

urban decay mariposa

I admit that Urban Decay is one of my favorite high end brand when it comes to  eyeshadow palettes. Many of you might know that I’m totally addicted to eyeshadow palettes . Here I present to you, the Mariposa Palette by Urban Decay with net wt: 10 x 0.03 oz. It comes in a metal tin packaging with a hinged lid. In the palette are ten gorgeous shades of  neutral shimmer and a travel-sized eyeshadow brush. The palette is almost a perfect square with rounded edges. It looked small when I first got it, but it’s actually a perfect size!

These are the shades included in the palette:

Top row from L-R: Rockstar (deep eggplant with metallic), Gunmetal (dark grey with silver glitter), Skimp (pale nude/beige with gold shimmer), Infamous (fuschia pink), Wreckage (shimmery dark taupe)

Bottom row from L-R:  Haight (shimmering mermaid blue), Money (silvery pale green), Mushroom (shimmering fawn), Spotlight (medium taupe with gold sparkle), and Limelight (bronze with gold glitter).

I noticed that the new shades that were included in are Infamous, Limelight, Spotlight, and Wreckage.

You may notice that there is no mirror in this palette which is quite unusual for Urban Decay palettes. The exterior packaging is unique with an engraved butterfly and the lid shut well. The only problem I have with this palette is the interior whereby the cardboard does look a little cheap in my opinion.

The fuschia pink (Infamous on the left) and mermaid blue or teal (Haight on the right) are very bright, the others are basics and go with just about everything. Infamous and Haight are two of my favorites, it’s bright and seems to be calling to me (giggling). I guess probably because I’ve been quite influenced by the Disney Princess movie. My other favorite is Wreckage. Totally love the bronzy finish. I would say that I’m a matte type but when it comes to this gorgeous shimmery finish, I just can’t say no. I’m hooked!

Overall, they are definitely fun. There is nothing boring about this palette except the misses on spotlight and limelight.

The eyeshadows are nicely pigmented and has very beautiful shimmer without going crazily overboard. For this look, I use one eyeshadow, the Infamous on bare lids. It’s blendable and long wear. I’ve been wearing it the whole day yesterday and are very happy with the performance appearance.

So, there you have it, my first impression review on Mariposa eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay. I’m satisfied and happy with the performance of this palette.  The shadow textures are quite nice and easy to blend. If you enjoy shimmery neutrals with a few bright shades, pick this up! Available at ebay online.
