High Density TIGI Quad Eyeshadow – Reivew & Swatch

It seems that I mark any celebration or even my travel adventures with makeup. A luxury item that I acquired recently is the High Density TIGI Cosmetics Quad Eyeshadow while I was on a road trip.

HIgh Density Tigi Quad Eyeshadow

I’m always on the hunt of eyeshadow and TIGI makeup products that’s always make its way into my collection. Love the luxe packaging where it houses a mixed of two matte and two shimmer shadows. This is a cool compact eyeshadows doing unique and interesting things. The shades are really pretty for all season and you can wear them at any time of the year.

Tigi Cosmetics Quad Eyeshadow

A mineral base eyeshadow that keeps me going back for more. The shade I got is in Lush.  I love about eveything about this quad eyeshadow especially the cute compact disc packaging that’s see through. I’m a sucker for cute packaging so this one is definitely right up my street.

They go on so smooth and what’s great about this stuff is that it’s long wearing. They blend beautifully and so easy to work on.

The price can be of higher price range but it’s woth the investment. So it’s going to be a great product to use throughout the winter.

Color swatch Tigi eyeshadow

I dig into the shades and the color swatches as you can see here. Can we take a few minutes to admire these? All four shades works into today’s look.

The lighter shade on the far left , I use it as a highlighter on my brow bone and sometimes I wear it on the lid and apply the dark brown on the crease and outer corner. I see these shades to be versatile and travel friendly. You can play with different look with this quad. They’re really good quality and very pigmented. They go on evenly and these bright metallic blue and red are interesting colors to wear for a dramatic evening look.  The shine that it has is so stunning.

I show you the eye look I got today which is definitely giving me like the care free and  relaxing vibes. I’m loving this!

This is a travel must-have! I’m happy I picked this one up for the trip. You can wear your own look with one shade alone or use a multitude colors. I highly recommend this quad!

I think it’s safe to say that TIGI is my beauty soulmate. As a beauty blogger sure has its perks. You can expect to see my obsession for beauty skyrocket in the coming months.

Japanese KOJI DOLLY WINK Liquid Eyeliners – REVIEW

Wow! Again, I can’t believe how fast another month has gone by. It’s only last week I celebrated my birthday. In this post, I wanted to give a shout out to my lovely daughter who knows me so well.

This is the best gift ever! She knows that I love Dolly Wink liquid liners and the rest is history. I couldn’t get enough of this liquid eyeliners ever since I tried it. This could be a very possible contestant for the Sharon’s Beauty Awards. And for me to receive three of my favorites Dolly Wink, I was so happy I almost passed out.

It’s the only liquid eyeliner that I will swear by. xD It’s fantastic! Keep reading to find out my entire thoughts about the eyeliner ~ It’s definitely a MUST HAVE eyeliner.

3 eyeliners

In case you’re not familiar with the product and its origin, Dolly Wink is a Japanese brand produced by the Japanese model Tsubasa Masuwaka, who represents the Gyaru trend which literally translates to gal in English. Dolly Wink is a brand presented by Koji as you can see on all their packaging.

DW liquid liner

I’ve this same liquid liner when my daughter first bought it back for me from Japan. I fell in love with it instantly. It’s exactly like the Kat Von D Tattoo eyeliner but so much better. Honestly, this is one of the best eyeliners I’ve ever used.

Love this eyeliner. The brush is so easy to work with, it goes on black and the thin brush allows you to create a perfect smooth lines and sharp winged liner sections a breeze. The formula is very long lasting and waterproof. I could tell you this is the only product that doesn’t smudge and stay on even when I’m crying my eyes out (when I get emotion) – LOL.

Dolly wink liquid liner

The shade I got is in Deep Black and although it’s not the blackest color I’ve seen, I can say it’s color is pigmented.

I really like the cute packaging of this eyeliner pen. The product comes in a pink color pen with golden ornaments all over and a black cap.

It makes my eyes look so flattering and bigger.

DW Pencil liner

Next I’ve the Dolly Wink Pencil Eyeliner in Black. A pencil type liner with a creamy soft touch. It’s break resistant and so easy to apply. As you know, I’m a sucker for cute packaging so this design is right up my alley. It’s so pretty and kawaii!!!

I’ve been holding off to trying any pencil liners for the longest time since I couldn’t find a real easy to blend pencil eyeliner that would glide on like a dream.

I did my first impression today (Sunday), and I’m in love with this liner. It’s so easy to use and I’ve no issues in drawing thin or thick lines. The color payoff is amazing and it gives a matte finish which I really appreciate.

Dolly Wink pencil liner

In the swatch above, the pencil eyeliner is matte while the liquid pen is glossy. If you’re into liquid eyeliner and likes to draw thin sharp lines, I think the first one is for you.

I try to smudge it on the above picture, I hardly rub it and so glad it stayed! It won’t budge at all. I wore it from morning till night time and it lasted me for a good 12 hours wear. Good news is that even though it’s waterproof, it’s easy to remove using warm water or the eye makeup remover.

So, for my first Dolly Wink pencil eyeliner (kohl) review, it’s a keeper in my makeup stash. I know I’m going to use it almost everyday.

Here’s the look: Line my upper lash line with the pencil eyeliner, pardon the not so good line here.

DW liquid liner No 1

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Super Black packaging version is red color pen with golden ornaments all over. It’s so cute and looks expensive.

I love how the brush is very thin because it makes getting a precise line easy and simple. The tip applicator is identical to the Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black. Making wings and cat eye liner is so, so quick with this eyeliner.

Dolly Wink No 1 Liquid Liner

Here’s a swatch of the colors. I really love how pigmented these eyeliners are.  They’re smudge proof and dries quickly as claimed but the best part is – you can easily removed it with just warm water. Forget the fuss of makeup remover. It comes off easily.

These eyeliners didn’t come cheap, it costs my daughter a whopping $45 for these three eyeliners. So based on the price of these eyeliners, they’re a pretty expensive eyeliner but Dolly Wink is a very popular brand in Japan so I’m not so surprised. Yes, they’re more expensive than the typical drugstore liquid eyeliner in the US but I promise they’re so, worth the price!

I highly recommend this brand if you’re into pencil eyeliners. Have you tried Dolly Wink Eyeliners?

And that’s all I’ve for now! Comment below if you’ve any suggestions or thoughts you’ve for my blog. I’m open to all your ideas!

I hope you all have a wonderful day/evening. I love you and take care!

Lise Watier Makeup Products (LE)

Hi guys! I thought I would share some of my beauty purchases I’ve made last summer. I know it’s long overdue and that I finally got the time to do it. I got a few other bits and bobs to show you but for now we will focus on the products I purchased at Lise Watier warehouse sale with a fraction of their retail prices.

This Aurora Collection is by no means Lise Waiter‘s new collection line but it’s fairly new to me. As a matter of fact, this collection was offered in limited edition only a few years back. I picked them because I was drawn to the beauty of this inspired AURORA BOREALIS teal design packaging. So preeetty!

This is a stunning collection of six shades ranging from a pale highlight to a deep shimmery plum and midnight blue. The eyeshadows from left to right are Ivory Rose, Pink-Mauve, Violet while the second row are Taupe, Gold and Midnight Blue. The finish on these shadows range from matte to slightly iridescent look. They’re nice and bright but without been too much.  I love the color combination of this palette even it’s missing a Green shade. I can go from fairly neutral using taupe and gold to party ready with the other darker shades (smoky eye).

Like most Lise Watier eye shadows, I found these a little tricky to work with as the shadows are hard and not very buttery. The pigmentation is decent though and I really like the richness of the colors. But let me know in the comment if you like to see a separate full review post on this palette with color swatch.

AURORA IRIDESCENT Duochrome eyeshadows ($25)

The colors of these sumptuous powders, embedded with glittering micro-particles, change as they catch the light.

One word: WOW! Glittering hints of green emerge from the teal. Did you see that? This is so cool don’t you think?

A different effect you see here – a coppery highlights appear in the violet shade. I’m in LOVE with the colors of the collection, especially this violet duochrome!

I wanted to mention that the packaging is not only cute but it’s also luxe to have. Lise Watier think of everything and even for a single eyeshadow pot, the packaging comes with a decent size mirror which I really appreciate.

A close-up look of the products. I have here a color swatch I picked directly from the pot. Can we just take a few moments to admire these beauty and the glittery effect. Look how insanely pretty the finely milled these glitters are. I  want to put it out there that the texture is not buttery or silky soft but it blends out beautifully on the lids. You can wear this product wet or dry.

Color swatches of the shades Violet and Teal with just one swipe.

You can layer it off to get your desire effect. I’ve been into spring color lately and this Violet shadow is calling my name. I decided to create a one shadow eye look today without any eye primer. For this look, I’m using my finger tips to apply the shadow. Honestly, you don’t really need a brush when applying them. That’s how good they are.

Another thing to point out is there’s only very little fallout from these glitters and I didn’t see any creasing from it. If you like to see how I created my #EOTD, click the link to my instagram.

This one comes in a beautiful deep red-purple called Aurora and contains finely milled glitter. I never have this color eyeliner before so I was very excited to try it out when I first got it

A long wear liquid eyeliner with the fine tip brush of my dreams. I love brush liners as they’re quite uncommon, but nothing gives a fine line like them.

This eyeliner swatches really nicely, but on, this liner was not nearly as pigmented as I hoped. The color is pretty but due to the iridescent glitter this makes the formula a little chunky. I don’t think it’s terribly bad of an eyeliner but I personally would enjoy it more if it’s not glittery and thus more pigmented.

Comment below what is your favorite part of the collection? I love to hear what you think.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read. If you did enjoy this post definitely follow my blog. I hope you come to check on my social media down below. In the meantime come and say hi! I’ll see you on my next blog, bye!

Tester Wednesday: Wet n Wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! I’m so excited to bring you this review!

First let’s get the deets out of the way.

Wet N Wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette is one of those gems where you can get two palettes for CAD$15.00, which in my opinion is an insanely steal!

These 10-pan palettes are priced at a low CAD$7.97 each and available at Walmart exclusively. The two shades are called Nude Awakening and Bare Necessities. For me, Nude Awakening is definitely the best looking of the two as it has that really rich brown and burgundy shade.

Both palettes feature an assortment of matte, shimmers, satin and sparkle shades. I think it’s fantastic that they included so many mattes, as most of their palettes tend to go the sparkler route.

The two palettes that I picked up are: Nude Awakening (top) and Bare Necessities (bottom)

I like the presentation, it’s sleek and small, Wet n Wild always keeps it very simple. Size wise these palettes are  pretty travel friendly. You can easily fit one into your to-go makeup bag. Convenient isn’t it!

Nude Awakening

As usual Wet n Wild knocks it out of the park with their highly pigmented formula. Very nice color selections in this palette.

This palette features 5 matte shades and 5 shimmer and satin, which is a great combo and should please everyone. There is a very nice matte black that gorgeous burgundy/berry shade and those two darker browns. The tau[e/rosy matte shade is beautiful and the shimmer shade all swatched very smoothly and aren’t all glittery. The 5th shade was a little chunky but it’s also one of the prettiest shades in the palette. Overall, I’m quite impressed with the quality and especially for the price. I don’t have anything bad to say about this palette frankly.

Here are the color shadows breakdown from left to right:

1-A matte cream

2-A pink champagne glitter

3-A rose gold shimmer

4-A bronzey pink shimmer

5-A mauvey pink shimmer

6-A matte rosy brown

7-A matte burgundy

8-A satin brown red with micro glitter

9-A matte chocolate brown

10-A matte black

It also comes with a double ended sponge tip applicator. I don’t use their applicator for blending eyeshadows but if you’re travelling and need to have a last minute touch-up, this would come in handy.

Nude Awakening

Keep your eyes peeled, here’s the color swatches for your eyes to feast!

I wore the Wet N Wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow from the Nude Awakening palette for the past last week and it definitely delivers a beautiful look. I found the shades to be pigmented, easy to blend and they stayed on all day. I didn’t  wear any eyeshadow primer and the staying power lasted for about 6 hours until I took it off in the evening and overall I was very happy with the look I got. I’ve to say that I’m really impressed!

Check out on my instagram for photo of the #EOTD I did last week, if you’re curious to see how I get this look. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for daily photo uploads.

Bare Necessities

The shimmers in this Bare Necessities palette are very nice too, I only had a problem with the last shade (the glittery black) which has large chunks of glitter and not a lot of pigment. But the gray and brown shades next to that are both really nice. I’m also really digging that 5th shade down a lot.

This palette is the more neutral of the two. It contains more golds and taupes than it’s rosier sister. This palette only contains 2 mattes. The rest are shimmers and satins.

The shades on this palette is amazing as well. You get more shimmery shadows in this one compared to the first palette mentioned above. The color swatches on my bare hand is so pretty but I find the blending needs more effort. I also experience a little fallout from the gold color eyeshadow which is not a big deal for me. I just use a Q-tip to clean it up at the end. Easy peasy!

Here are the color shadows breakdown from left to right:

1-A satin white champagne

2-A light rose gold shimmer

3-A true gold shimmer

4-A bronzey gold shimmer

5-A bronze shimmer

6-A pinkish taupe shimmer

7-A cool time matte gray brown

8-A cool tone matte brown

9- A steal blue shimmer

10-A matte black with silver micro glitter

Get the look:

I’m a huge Wet n Wild fan and I was so excited to get my hands on these. I own a lot of higher end palettes and sure, these drugstore ones will never compare in quality, but I’ve such a love for affordable and accessible makeup.

My favorite of the two is Nude Awakening and I highly recommend it but if you’re a eyeshadow palette collector like myself then I would suggest getting both so you can really have a more varied selection of shades for more looks. At this low price, why the heck not?

Now, what are you waiting for! Run to your nearest Walmart now and grab it before they’re all gone!

Thank you for reading my review! I hope it helped! If you’d like to see more reviews, please feel free to follow me and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me!

Best in Beauty by BH Cosmetics

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog! Today’s I’ll be talking about a brand that I’m a big fan of. Many of you who knows me will also know that I’m obsessed with eyeshadow palette and frankly speaking I’ve been collecting palettes from BH Cosmetics since I started blogging. I’ve tried many of their palettes before and none is a disappointment and neither is this palette.

Behold, as I present to you this Special Occasion 39 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette by BH Cosmetics. This palette is ONLY for $10.00 if you make your purchase now. It’s a super steal! (Note: This is not a sponsored or partnership post. The colors in the special occasion palette are ever so alluring and it can be used to create a subtle neutral every day look and then add glam touches to make it a smokey evening glamour. So much and more to say about this amazing palette …

I’ve tried and played with almost all the shadows in this palette and I can tell you this. There is no fallout and no chalky shades that calls for alert. The formula is very pigmented and easy to blend (should be no problem for professionals and anyone who loves a good pigmented shadows). The staying power of these blushes vary between 4-6 hours, depending on the shade and intensity of your strokes. You could definitely built it up to your moods or occasions.

You can see here the ingredients for this palette. Not that this brand is cruelty free in case you’re curious to know if they’re non-animal tested.

BH Cosmetics is a budget friendly brand that I truly enjoy supporting. I’ve so many good experiences with the products I’ve purchased with my own money.

Rediscovered Beauty Products

Hey guys! Today I want to show you something excited while I was clearing up my makeup stash drawers. I don’t know about you but February always make me feel optimistic and full of energy to do something, anything fun. If you know about the folklore story about groundhog day then that’s basically how I look forward for spring.

Accordingly to Global news, “Canada’s celebrity groundhogs have “predicted” an early spring after officials declared the pudgy prognosticators did not see their shadows. If the groundhog doesn’t see its shadow, then tradition says spring is on the way!” Woohoo!

As I was doing my early spring cleaning, I stumbled upon these makeup products that were shoveled to the deepest end of my makeup drawer. It’s insane to find back beauty products that I used to wear a while ago and then totally forgotten about them.

I got two of the Velvets Eyeshadow by Essence Cosmetics in Smooth Caramel and Taupe Secret. The image on the right is their Super Soft Eyeshadow pot in Keep Calm and Berry On.

I really adore the packaging of the Velvets eyeshadows. I’ve two of the nine shades out there and I can’t wait to get my hands on more colors for Spring.

Here’s the color swatches I did with one swipe of shadow directly from the pan to my naked arm. These are some nice neutral shades for everyday wear. The textures are very soft and nicely pigmented. I created an #EOTD look which I shared on my Instagram.

It blends smoothly on the lids. The only downside I find about this berry shadow is that the color payoff is so much better on the eyes than on swatch. It applies best with eyeshadow brush instead of fingers. On a positive note, I didn’t see any creasing or fall out from these shadows which is awesome. For only CAD$2.49 you’ll get a good quality and value for money drugstore products.

For being a super cheap product, I’m actually pretty impressed with this. The coverage is decent and it blends in well with my skin and I look significantly better honestly.

Elf Cosmetics Concealer is available at any Walmart stores. The shade I have is in Light Beige. It’s a nice color match for my skin tone.

I remember now how I used to reach for it. I really enjoy how easy the doe foot applicator work. I applied them on my under eyes, the bridge of my nose and forehead. It gives a good coverage on my skin without looking cakey. Bye bye to my dark under eye circles. This is the product which I know I’ll be reaching for.

Another product I found in my stash is the BH Cosmetics Flawless Brow Highlighter.  I must have tried it a while ago to write a review and it completely slipped off my mind until a couple of days ago. I start wearing it and I must say, I’m quite impressed with the results.

This is a duo ended pencil with a matte finish on one end and a shimmery one on the other. A double-ended matte and shimmer highlighter for your brows. Use the matte side for a soft, subtle highlight or the shimmer side for an added glow.

I also use this matte highlighter for under my brow bones to clean any access from any brow products besides just as a highlighter. This product is creamy and soft. You wouldn’t believe me if I say that it glides like a dream. So smooth, so blendable. I’m loving it.

They’re very easy to use or apply especially when I use the shimmery ones for my inner corner. It works wonder!

Not convince! You got to try this yourself. I know you’re going to like it as much as I did. Maybe, I say maybe this post will make you want to start your spring cleaning too. who knows you might rediscovered something in your stash too.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Stay tuned for more popped up makeup products which I’m so excited to show you guys. Bye!

Tester Wednesday: Fortune Favors The Brave : Review, Photos & Swatches

Hey guys! Welcome back to Tester Wednesday. It has been a while since I talked about Makeup Revolution (MUR) beauty products. I ordered a few palettes online a few months ago and had been putting all these goodies on the back burner. Well, better late than never right!

So, today I thought I’ll share my first impression review on this beautiful palette. This palette is quite special because it was created in collaboration with Jane Cunningham.

This is her palette that she’s been working on with Makeup Revolution and had finally launched it last March.

This palette retails for £9.99 which is a great price value for a drugstore brand. Why did I say that? Continue reading and you’ll find out why.

Let’s talk about packaging for a second. It comes in a matte gold which makes it look much more luxurious and houses 30 eyeshadows, large mirror which I really appreciate and a simple dual-ended eyeshadow brush.

This is a 30 pan palette. I really love the color selections she created. The shadows are for everyone, irrespective of age or tone according to Jane.

I like that she added four baked eyeshadows in the mist of all these amazing color shadows. They’re super pigmented and very metallic. Looks so pretty all over the lids. Love love this!

Here’s what you’ll find in Fortune Favors The Brave palette. You got light sheen and mattes, metallic bursts of color heading through to the darkest shades of black, plum and navy.

All the shades have names which are printed on a plastic sheet. Nope! I’m not complaining at all, I like to see that effort being pour in naming these shadows. Win in my book!

I’m most excited to show all these gorgeous color swatches down below.  All swatches are with one swipe directly from pan without primer.

Row 1: Glimmer, Buffer, Peachy, Hope, Fortune, Skylight, Transformer, Midnight Rainbow – the middle Hope and Fortune are my favorite shades

Row 2: Ice Cloud, Golden Coins, Cashmere, Tip Top,  Green Machine, Smoothie

Row 3: Caffeine Fix, Latte, Pink Diamond, Creme, Drama Queen, Lonely Planet, Blacqua.

Row 4: Soft, New World, Favour, Sunset Hour, Super Gold, Winning, Brave, The Revolution – and at the end Winning, Brave and The Revolution are also some of my favorite shades in this palette .

Here’s a quick eye look I created.

The overall quality of the eyeshadows is good. There are some less pigmented shades like Glimmer, Peachy, Midnight Rainbow, Tip Top, Smoothie, Latte, Crème, Soft and Pink Diamond which require a bit more work and building up to get a desire intensity. Other shades are smooth and well pigmented. They’re easy to blend and they stay all day without bulging on eyeshadow base I wore for this first impression review.

I highly recommend it if you’re on the market for an affordable and good quality product from a drugstore brand. Overall, I’m quite impressed with the wear time and happy with the look. It performs well and I got nothing bad to say about this palette honestly. It’s a versatile palette that would look gorgeous for anyone.

I love that MUR is accessible to everyone on price point with no loss on quality. Best thing is that you can get this at Amazon, ebay, Ulta and Superdrug stores.

So what do you think of the ‘Fortune Favours The Brave’ palette? Comment what you think. I love to hear from you.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. I hope to see you all again on my next post. Stay tuned for more popped up makeup products which I’m so excited to show you guys. Bye!

Be… Eyeshadow Palette by BH Cosmetics – Review & Swatches

Hey guys! Welcome to Tester Wednesday! Today I’m going to share with you my thoughts and opinion on this Be Eyeshadow Palette by BH Cosmetics I’ve tried over past two week on rotations.

I did mentioned this before in my previous post where I talked about the collaboration between BH Cosmetics and beauty Youtuber Bubz Beauty. She has her vlog channel just like other youtubers. Did I mentioned that she has almost 3 million subscribers? I don’t know if you care but just to put it out.

According to her, it took her 8 years to work on this palette. Imagine the effort and hard-work poured into it. I love supporting youtubers who work hard with brands to create a palette with followers or users in mind. It’s the concept of the palette that caught my attention. She went with the inspirational theme; “Be whatever you want to be”. And this palette says it all.

Let’s talk about the packaging. I really like the rose gold lace detail on the front of the palette. It’s so girlie and feminine. The packaging is cardboard like the other BH Cosmetics YouTube collaboration palettes, which makes it super light weight and easy for travelling. Inside you’d find a decent size mirror and twelve pretty eyeshadows on it.

The cost of it is $12.50 at BH Cosmetics.

I’m a sucker for eyeshadows names when it comes to palette. Don’t you hate it when they don’t!  I mean come on … I just don’t get why don’t. How hard could it be to name eyeshadows?

But thankfully, this palette what I wished for in a palette. And I’m happy for that.

You could wear inspiring shadows like Grateful with Confident and Able or any combination shades your heart desire. (Image inserted below is what I’m wearing on my eyes today #EOTD using the shadows I just mentioned).

As these shadows are nicely pigmented, you can definitely build up the colors. They’re very easy to blend with no fallouts!

#EOTD Look – It gave me this warm, rustic eye look, and I also winged my eyeliner and applied a warm mauve lipstick to tie it all together!

My top favorites are Happy, Optimistic, Charismatic and Thoughtful.  Which inspiration shadow names is your favorite? I love to know.

All of the colors I have used or swatched on my eyelid are decently pigmented. I haven’t found a lot of fallout with these shades and instead I find the formula is almost buttery for the most part except for one of them which I find a little more chalky than the others. It’s the shade Confident (the eggplant purple).

So overall, this is a great palette if you’re looking for a budget palette as an alternative. Another point I like to mention is that this product is cruelty free meaning they’re not tested on animal just in case you’re concern about it.

Did you order the “Be…” palette? What do you think of it? Let me know!

I hope you enjoy this month’s picks. Until next time, take care everybody!

Blogmas Day 21 – Make Up For Ever #2 Artist Palette (Swatch & Photos)

Palettes are one of my favorite beauty investments. And it’s safe to say that it’s my soft spot especially when it comes to eyeshadow palette. You can discover new beautiful color combinations, introduce new finishes to your eye look, or layer different tones building an everyday look into a smoky evening finish.

Here’s my latest palette I’ve  been loving to be added with my beauty routine revamp.

As soon as I laid my eyes on this Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Vol. 2 Artistic I just knew I had to get one. So I got this with the Sephora VIB sale. Woohoo!

This is a beautiful palette with a nice and bright pop of color schemes and a good size shadow palette you can throw it in your bag. The packaging is slim ad sleek and there you  have it.

I would describe the texture as velvety, and the color payoff as rich and pigmented. The staying power and blend ability has been perfected by the brand, and the silky shimmery colors apply equally as well on bare skin and on a primed eyelid.

The palette houses nine pans, which are arranged into color-coordinating columns of three (or rows, if you turn it sideways). Shown here are the color swatches.

Top-Down (by column)

Left: Eye Shadow in I-872 Pearly Pink ( is a very light, pinky-white with a pearly sheen), ME-910 Electric Magenta (is a light-medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a frosted, metallic finish), S-924 Purple (is a brightened, medium-dark purple with warm, pink undertones and a satin-matte finish) is the Playful Look

Middle: D-552 Crystalline Gray Beige (is a warm-toned, golden pewter with a sparkling, metallic finish), ME-232 Turquoise Blue (is a brightened, medium aqua-blue with a hint of warmer green undertones and a frosted finish), ME-302 Peacock (is a blackened, brown-black with green-teal frost) is the Bold Look

Right: ME-512 Golden Beige ( is a light-medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a frosted, metallic finish), ME-700 Amber (is a golden copper with warm undertones and a frosted, metallic finish), ME-930 Black Purple (is a blackened purple with subtle, warm undertones and a frosted sheen) will be the Sultry Look.

All of that is just to say that they’re very soft. They almost feel like a cream, but they’re not. They’re just incredible formula with great consistency. They’re so so pigmented. I couldn’t stop saying good things about these shadows.

Note that ME910 Electric Magenta Artist Shadow and S924 Purple Artist Shadow can also be used as a blush.

Crazy colorful and crazy pigmented. They’re really easy to blend. I know this is obviously not an everyday look and not everybody will be rocking. This is a fun color you could wear in the summer as oppose to winter. So don’t be afraid to embrace this color.

The downfall is that I noticed some fallout especially the purple and green. Tap your brush before applying to your face. Don’t opt out just because of the fallout. Try at your nearest Sephora and really check this one out.

All told,  I really love this palette, it’s definitely a winner in my book. This post is not sponsored or anything by the way, I bought it with my own money and I’m letting you know how I really appreciate these shadows. I don’t want anybody to miss out on this awesome shadows.

Blogtober* Top Ten Satin Eyeshadow Palette by Hard Candy (Review & Swatches)

Hey guys! Today I’ll be talking about Hard Candy Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette. Heads up that this post is going to be photo heavy, I’ll show you a closed up look of this palette as we go along.

I asked you guys what you like me review first and many of you requested for a review on the Top Ten Satin Eyeshadow Palette by Hard Candy. I always feel that the eyes are super fun!

So, let’s jump right in!

First thing first, I bought this lovely 10 pan eyeshadow palette by Hard Candy at Walmart. In case you don’t know, you can only find Hard Candy Cosmetics exclusively in Walmart. If you want to see what other beauty haul I picked up from Walmart, I’ll put the link here.

This palette housed 10 gorgeous shades and they’re gorgeous shades. I could stare at these colors all day. I really like the color selections in this palette.

A breakdown of the metallic shadows runs as follows:- (L-R) you’ll get a gold, greyish blue, bronze, greyish green, taupe, grey purple. While the other side of the spectrum which is the matte shadows, you’ll get a blue, brown, coral pink and dark taupe.I think these are so pretty colors for fall.

I really love the cute packaging and let me tell you, I’m obsessed with anything silvery and this palette just proves it. The cover has a soft silver cushion material with diamond pattern and silver studs on them. They’re pretty lightweight and a little flimsy.

For the price, this is a nice pick up palette without needing to break the bank. It won’t blow up your beauty world and let me be honest with you, this is a decent palette to get if you’re looking for something on a tight budget.

I imagine it’ll be something I might pick up quite often whether I’ll be using it alone or using some of the shades to accent another eye look!

These have soft, sheer color pay off but build easily enough. The metallic shadows are pigmented but a little powdery (you can see in my pic above how they kick up a good deal of powder) in my opinion.

Swatches on bare arm – no primer or eye base used when I did this color swatches. What you see is what you get directly from the pan. I think these shadows will look much more intense if applied over eye primer.

While I had an issue with a few of the mattes, the shimmery shadows were fantastic! Gorgeous, pigmented shades at an incredibly low price. I believed I paid $6.58 for this palette.

They wore quite nicely without primer on this look. It lasted me for a good 8 hours without any touch up.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and hope to see you again on my next post.

Have a fab weekend!

Tester Wednesday Minimalist Makeup| Elf Cosmetics

Another  Wednesday, another Tester Wednesday! Every week, I’ll share with you products I’ve tested. It could be new products, rediscovered makeup brand or best or worst products before hitting the bin. These last few days have just flown by for me and I’m hoping the weekend won’t feel as quick.

Anyways, have you shopped at Walmart lately? I’ve bits and pieces of products from Elf to talk about in today’s tester Wednesday.

This week, I want to talk about Elf makeup products which I picked up about a week ago.

I got the Cream Eyeliner in Black and HD Undereye Setting Powder in Sheer.

Let’s start with their Cream Eyeliner first!

Now some time ago, I tried the Maybelline Gel Liner and I just didn’t care for it. That’s part of the reason I held out on trying this e.l.f liner for so so long. I could order it online but decided not too. I’m really excited to see a good selection of products at Walmart Canada. So, this is the first cream eyeliner I have purchased from e.l.f and I absolutely like it but not love love! If you know what I mean? It lasts for a really long time without having it smudge or faded. So ya, I’m happy the way it makes my eyes look bigger!

At the beginning,  I’ve some difficulty doing winged eyeliner with the brush. Too bad the brush is really small and I find it hard to control, otherwise the brush would be perfect. Definitely need some work to perfect a winged eye and I suggest to use your own brush.

It does goes nice and smooth and I really like the formula. It dries up pretty fast and once it sets, it’s a little harder to remove. If that makes sense.

I honestly think that this is not a product for someone who is new to makeup. I do feel that the product is good but you definitely need much more practice to get a perfect wing. Secondly, I would like to see some improvement on the pigmentation department. Don’t get me wrong, I really like this product but it definitely could get some extra pigmentation that includes darker black formula could hit the mark.

I personally find this cream liner works best if you’re planning for a bold pop evening look (a bit thicker stroke). It seems thinner stroke doesn’t cut it as I would’ve expected. It definitely a good liner if your planning on doing a winged or cat eye look.

Can you tell, can you tell!

Capture 2

Overall, I think the quality of this product is pretty decent for what it’s worth. For this price, you can’t possibly go wrong with it.

The new Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder in Sheer/Transparent with net wt: 0.04 oz.

It BLURS my dark circles under my eyes like no one’s business. “Blur” is really the right word to use with this product, as that is really what it does. The formula is super fine and silky like. Such a soft and smooth texture that I can apply them everywhere. Okay! Not everywhere but all over my face.

Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder kinds reminds me of a cross between Laura’s version and Benefit’s. This is a translucent pinkish powder with a hint of shimmer which is a bit brightening, and has a thinner consistency of silica powder.

The glass jar packaging is quite nice and for CAD$3.97 only at Walmart, I suggest you to give it a try. Did I mentioned that it comes with a brush for application? Well it does but I still prefer using my own brush to set.

The thin powder doesn’t crease into fine lines on your undereyes. It sort of blur them out nicely. Another benefit of this product is that it sets your concealer for longer wear. Hurray!

E.L.F. product is cruelty free in case you want to know.

Conclusion! I dare say this is a cheap thrill product that’s worth picking up!

Thank you guys for stopping by!

Lise Watier Gets Me Everytime

Anyways, here’s what I’ve bought the last couple of weeks. A lot of them have been purchases to try something new.

Here’s what I picked up and my review:

These are amazing eyeliners that are great for any occasions and looks. I think this might be my new everyday eyeliners with the Dark Blue to Smoky Green and Expression taking me from day to night.

Intense Waterproof Eyeliner – Vert Fumé in 664

Here’s the info about the liner from their site:

    • Fine and precise application
    • Ultra-pigmented and crease-resistant
    • 14-hour extreme-hold formula
In my own experience, here’s my summary:
  • They’re creamy and soft, they can line thin or thick
  • Glide smoothly
  • Long lasting
  • Price is a little steep
The packaging reminds me of the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil.
I noticed that not only did it go on smooth but it went on exactly the same color, didn’t fade away throughout the day either. I’m completely hooked, I never went a day without it.

Crayon Kajal – Noir Bleu in 71678

On site, it says “it’s specially formulated to highlight the inner line of your lower eyeliner”.

I used it on my eyelids and on my lower lash line as well and don’t have any problem applying it. It goes on easy and smooth glides which is awesome. I’ve sensitive eyes and this doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. They’re not messy and soothing for the eye. I prefer to wear this for evening out to get an extra dramatic look.

The formula is much of an eyeliner than the actual kajal pencil I’ve tried from the drugstore. I wore this on the lower lash line and I didn’t noticed any spreading or panda-esque effect. Would be prefect to do a smoky eye look with this product.

Comment below if you’ve heard the difference between kajal and kohl eyeliner? I love to heard what you think.

Color swatches from top to bottom: Expression (silver), Vert Fumé (smoky green))and Noir Bleu (dark blue)

Eye Shine – Expression in 41409

  • Long-lasting, waterproof formula
  • Smooth texture
  • Pearly finish

The Lise Watier comes in a much wider selection of colors, thirteen to be exact and it last and lasts and doesn’t smear and it’s easy to put on.

Here is the closed up look. I used the eye shine pencil on my lids as eyeshadow instead or liner. I then proceed applying with the kajal pencil in Noir Bleu for my top and bottom lash line. Honestly, I’m quite impressed with today’s #EOTD look. Not mean to boast but I really like it. Something so simple to create could gives such satisfactory result.

What do you think of this look?

lise watier eyeliners

Overall, it was a good switch from the regular everyday routine. It really wasn’t a big deal to switch from black/brown to a colored eyeliner in my opinion but do whichever floats your boat!

So, here’s the thing. Whether you’re on the quest to do a smoldering cat eye or defining your eyes or even perhaps you’re stepping out of your comfort zone. They should be your go-to for those perfect Cleopatra eyes and are perfect for when you want to go all out. If that make any sense to you.
This is such an easy way to try something new and add color to your beauty routine. I really love these liners and would recommend you check them out.

Have you tried this liner before? What was your experience? Have you found a liner that works on your waterline? Leave your comments below.

Thanks so much for stopping and hope to see you again on my next post.
