RANDOM Question Tuesday

What’s up guys? Welcome back to my blog. If you’re new here, I share every Tuesday asking random questions and beauty related tags. And if you like to get notification of my upcoming posts, don’t forget to subscribe to my blog or any social media. It would mean a lot to me!

I love to eat and I couldn’t go on my day without breakfast. You can say that I’m a breakfast type of person and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Breakfast to me is important and I make sure that I start my day right with a perfect meal. You might also know that I love my carbs so much that I couldn’t live a day without my beloved carbs. Anyways, talking about breakfast and carbs really make me hungry now.

So my question to you is this:

What do you like, pancake or waffles? Are you a breakfast type of person or you prefer lunch?

Shoot your comment below. I’d love to hear your answers. I’m curious to know which is your favorite.

Saturday Guest Post: How to Make Your Eyes Look Younger by Emma Lawson

How to Make Your Eyes Look Younger

They say that eyes are the window to the soul. But what do your eyes say about you? Are you getting enough beauty sleep? Are you using the right products and maintaining a balanced diet? These are all factors that can greatly contribute to how your eyes will appear. If you are constantly dealing with bags under your eyes or the wrinkles around them make you look much older than you really are, perhaps it is time to change some of your habits. These things can be managed quite easily, with only a few of these simple tricks:

Diet

It is in the inside what counts, right? Well, before you start looking for alternative procedures to fix your baggy eyes, you should first consider your diet. What you eat can have a great effect on your overall appearance. What you should start implementing into your diet are foods that are rich with antioxidants which will help you with inflammations and puffiness and actually help you with clear signs of aging and pollutants. Other than that, consider foods that contain high levels of vitamin C like leafy greens, strawberries and citrus fruits, as they are known to prevent wrinkles and dry skin but also some more severe conditions like cataracts and macular degeneration.

Face Masks

Another great way to fend off wrinkles and clear signs of aging is by relying on homemade masks. Keep in mind that the skin around the eyes is very thin and that is why fine lines and crow’s feet will first appear. Because of this, make use of your fresh foods to create natural remedies that will help you depuff your eyes, remove wrinkles and deep lines and also help soothe those dark circles and sagginess around them. Foods like sweet potatoes, cucumbers, pineapples, eggs and herbal teas are known to be quite effective against these annoying pests.

Makeup and Other Products

When it comes to various beauty products that could help us in our battle for younger looking eyes, it is important to consider what kind of compounds are found in our cosmetics. When choosing your products, whether they are makeup or anti-aging creams, make sure they are based retinol, hydroxyl acids, niacinamide, tea extracts and coenzyme Q10. Vitamin C based creams are known to make the skin firmer, stimulate collagen synthesis and also prove antioxidant protection. It is also important to protect your skin from sun damage by applying sunscreen regularly, as too much sun exposure is known to cause older looking skin, brown spots, wrinkles and deep lines.

Beauty Sleep

In the end, do not forget to get appropriate amounts of sleep. Your beauty sleep will help you energize your body and prevent dark circles, bags and sagginess under your eyes.

As we get older, our skin will lose its elasticity, start producing wrinkles and show clear signs of aging. Of course, there is nothing you can do to stop aging, but these few simple tips can at least help you age gracefully. Implementing a few of these changes into your daily routine can greatly contribute to younger looking skin and eyes as well.

Wordless Wednesday! Coco Brunch

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Last weekend, we stopped and had brunch at Coco Frutti Restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Since we had light breakfast, don’t mind stopping over for brunch. First time at this place and here were what we ordered.

Brunch Coco – 2 OEUFS, CHOIX ENTRE BACON OU JAMBON OU SAUCISSES, ET VOTRE CHOIX DE CRÊPE OU PAIN DORÉ AUX FRUITS ACCOMPAGNÉ DE CRÈME PÂTISSIÈRE.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I personally prefer this Coco Frutti than Tutti Frutti or  Chez Cora since we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food presentation looks so appetizing. The food taste good and the ambient light and easy for a layback weekend . The place wasn’t overly crowded or insanely noisy. Will definitely go again. So, two thumbs ups!

My honey bear ordered this. I think it’s Smoked Salmon with fruits and on the side a bagel and cheese.  Can’t deny we love our fruits, lol 😀

A tall Smoothie glass with Strawberry, Raspberry, Mango and Banana for my little guy.

For four person, the bill was about $59.00 and plus tips. I can’t put a price if it’s expensive or cheap but more importantly for me is going outing together as a family that counts. I hope this post would help to inspire you to make your own home made brunch or for thanksgiving (harvest).

On regular days, I can make my own frutti breakfast and lunch at the comfort of my own kitchen but once in awhile, it’s great to be out. Don’t take my word for it. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you go and try it.

Sorry if I make you guys hungry but if you’re at work, head over to your nearest restaurant for a delightful meal or whip up the batter and heat up your pan. Home made crepe … yum!

Enjoy!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read.

Wordless Wednesday|Eat Out Or Take Out?

It’s Wednesday and welcome to Wordless Wednesday. I haven’t been cooking much since I’ve been under the weather but managed to drag myself to the nearest eatery for an enjoyable meal with my family last Thursday.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It was our first time there since we heard good recommendation from some friends. I’m not so much of a meat person but I don’t mind trying different food.

Famous Smoke Meat Pete Bistro. There’s a life band too after 8pm.

The bistro was almost full house when we left.

Special House Fried Rice

Last weekend, we  ended up at a Chinese Buffet Restaurant. But instead of going for buffet we just ordered the ala carte.

Mixed Seafood Stir-Fried With Vegies

The food weren’t very fine but not too bad.

Mixed Sushi Plate for takeout

After eating out for 2 days in a stretch, my hunny bear came home with a take out sushi 😛 So, for $35.00 worth of sushi, we got a mixed range of california roll, maki. nigiri with sweet sauce and wasabi to stir up my brain cells.

If you happen to be feeling hungry now, why not try something that is filling and exotic. Indulge your taste buds to the max. For seafood or vegetarian lovers, and if you haven’t tried sushi before, try it and unleashed the power of food.

Which is your favorite comfort food or take out you always go back to? Don’t forget to leave your comments down below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read. Have a good rest of the week!

Wordless Wednesday|Food In My Tummy

DSC03901

Hey guys! How’s it going? Sorry I haven’t been blogging about food in my post for the longest time but there is no excuse for it. So, I have accumulated some of the pictures of the dishes I’ve made over the weekend for this week’s Wordless Wednesday. Hope you’ll enjoy and like it 🙂

First dish is stir fry clam with ginger and red chilli pepper. It’s a simple and easy dish to prepare.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Next dish is a Curry Chicken Penang Style cooked with potatoes. I used the chilli paste from the asian store and put a can of coconut cream for a delicious hot and spicy dish. Eat with rice or bread (optional) or even naan bread.

My mom taught me to cook this dish. It’s a deep fried crispy chicken which is finger licking good. Mom’s secret recipe is safe with me! She always tells me to cook with my heart not just reading from the recipe book.

You can eat corn in so many different ways and one of them is to make them into a soup dish which I did.

pasta

I’m not Italian so my pasta dish is edible only. I’ve tasted better ones for sure. Any suggestion which is the best in your area?

sty fried noodles

Lastly is my signature stir fried noodle. One plate is never enough. My little boy always ask for second.

Which is your most memorable food that you’ve tried this year? I love to hear your comments down below.

Thank you for stopping by.

My French Toast & Tacos

French Toast with Blueberry
French Toast with Blueberry

Well,  have I mentioned that besides talking about makeup and beauty, I also enjoyed cooking and making flower arrangements? What is weekend for me? Eating homemade food and enjoyed a freshly brewed coffee in the morning.

So, this morning – I’ve prepared a simply dish of french toast with blueberry on the side.

Fish Taco
Chicken Taco

As for lunch, nothing fancy. I just cut strips of chicken and seasoned it with my delicious (marinated sauce) own recipe and grilled the fillet fish for 20 minutes in the oven.

So, there you have it. Just a lazy weekend dish and spending time with my family.

Hope you guys have an excellent weekend.
