Beauty Product I’m Loving!

I have to say, I’m so excited that August is over. Not that I have anything against August per se – but the end of August means the start of September, right! September means fall … pumpkin spice lattes… leaves on the ground … I can go on and on … blah blah blah. So you get the picture. I can’t be bothered with summer anymore.  I’m ready to move one and honestly I’m so ready for the temperature to drop!

Today, I want to share products I just picked up from Walmart last weekend. Can you take a guess? Yes, it’s the Wet n Wild Beauty Mega Lip Color. Fall for me mostly means playing with darker and bold color lippies, and boy was I excited to try them upon reaching home.

I uploaded pictures of the color swatches on my Instagram. If you have been following me, you probably had seen it, and if you haven’t already just click here to go to my Instagram 🙂

I did a post review on them before and since I really love this awesome products, I’m going to rave about it again today.

The packaging is a decent drugstore plastic material. Nothing fancy but the formula is amazing.  To read more of my thoughts and opinions on other color I reviewed, then just hit the link.

L-R: Cherry Picking, Mocha-licious & Stoplight Red

OMG!!! Just look how pigmented the formula is. I know, it’s freaking Amaazzzing!!! Love, love the color payoff and insane pigmentation.

I tried out all the shades and here are the color appeared on lips. They feel comfortable and not drying at all. I really like the nice feel on my lips. As I was writing the review yesterday, I was wearing my Stoplight Red for around 5 hours then and even through eating and drinking, the pigment was still true and even on my lips, despite a lot of the product itself having worn away. It just blew my mind! Oh yaass!

Available in 26 beautiful shades at Walmart for CAD$2.84 and you can. This lipstick is going to appeal to people who are on-the-go all day long. They lasted a long time.

I highly recommend if you’re someone who hates fusing over their lipstick throughout the day. For the price, what could possibly go wrong.

Give it a thumb’s up if you like this post. Don’t forget to follow me on my blog or other social media if you haven’t already.

Thanks guys for being super awesome! muak …♥

UK Drugstore Mail Beauty Haul 2016

Hi everyone! And today, I bringing you a beauty haul all the way from UK! And yes, they’re all drugstore makeup products, mind you. Make Up Revolution is a budget friendly and cruelty free brand based in the UK.

I don’t typically shop like this but once every month is where I’ve gone bananas.

Some of these products here are like blowing my mind! It’s like poof..poof.. ! I couldn’t think straight. I’m super excited right now!

blowing my mind
by source

Yes, I’m feeling it right now! Oh gosh!

After taking a few deep breath and did my happy dance, let’s focus on the things I got shall we?

First thing first – I got three shades of the Makeup Revolution Ultra Face Base Foundation in FB 09, FB10 and FB12 or commonly known as BB cream.

It says on the packaging that it’s “blendable, buildable and creates a flawless complexion that’s suitable for all skin types.” I always love a good formulated BB cream.

And the packaging, I really don’t have problem with a tube BB cream since you could actually squeeze out the remainder of the product better than in a bottle, in my opinion. So, yes, I’m quite excited to try them for you guys.

Here is the sad products which I’ve tried and reviewed in my previous post which I’ll link it here for you. These are the foundations which I’m disappointed about. The formula was too runny and the color was … uhhh… I’m just to sad to talk about it.

Let’s go to something more cheerful like …

Lip Amplification Lip Gloss. I got the shades High Voltage (fuchsia pink) and Full Throttle (fire engine red), each net wt for 0.23 fl oz.

I love love love lip cream but this lip gloss reminds me a lot of my favorite lip cream by Gerard Cosmetics. It really feels like a lip cream than a lip gloss, and let me tell you that the staying power is ridiculously long.

Okay, I cheated and try the full throttle and was amazed by the formula and the long-lasting effect. It survive all the way through after a very long day with snacks and drinks. It does leave a pretty lip stain at the end of the day, which I really like rather than a full bare lips.

Anyways, I’m going to continue to wear them and I’m very excited to try the  fuchsia pink next. I curious to see what this shade will look. So, stay tuned and don’t go away. Detailed review coming up pretty soon.

Let’s talk Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher from the I Heart Makeup range from Make Up Revolution. The packaging from the box it came in, to the packaging of the product is pretty. I definitely would be applying it as a highlighter.

Impressive! Very impressive. I fell in love with this blush on first sight. Oh my gosh! I just died when I saw how insanely pigmented this blush is. These blushes look very similar to the Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush by Too Faced. If you’re looking for a dupe, then I would suggest the shade Peachy Keen Heart look very much like the images of the Sweethearts blushes from Too Faced that I have seen online, but I don’t own the Too Faced blushes to do an exact comparison for you.

This frosty formula could be wore alone as a blush and it looked really pretty but I think many people would enjoy this as a highlighter more.

This I Heart Makeup Triple Baked Blusher I got is in Peachy Pink Kisses. Just look at this awesomeness. I can’t wait to put them on.  This one has a great potential to be a perfect highlighter for summer glow?

Since I’ve travel plan this week, I’m glad to get my hands on all these cutie brushes to bring along with me on my trip. Oh yes! I’m so excited to try them out. The bristles are so soft and they’re just the right size for my makeup bag.

L to R: Mini Eyeshadow Brush, Mini Angled Brush, Mini Foundation Brush and lastly the Mini Face Brush.

Note that these are made of dual fibre synthetic hair. I know there is a debate on whether to opt for natural animal hair or unnatural synthetic hair fibre but either way is a double-edged sword. You either support animal cruelty or the unnatural? Well, I don’t often do this, but I’m cheering for the synthetic.

I’ll have a separate post of the why. In case you want to know more, here is the link to PETA site. It’s a great resource for help to find other companies that offer synthetic makeup brushes. Take that double-edged sword!

The next item I got is the Shimmer Brick Eyeshadow in 5 shimmery metallic shadows. The color I got is in Rose Gold. Ridiculously pigmented shadows and all the colors are so so gorgeous. You got to get them to try it yourself. I know I’m jumping before the cart but that’s how excited I am with it.

I noticed that a little goes a long way for these shadows based on the formula and a quick swatch on my wrist. I’m really impressed with the color payoff. I think I’m going to love it.

On pan, I think it would be prefect for those who loves shimmery eyeshadows for instance. I love the color and the formula and can’t wait to try them out. I’ll be playing a little bit longer before I share my thoughts and opinion on this product.

How can I forget to order my favorite eyeshadows right? Well, I didn’t. In fact, I not only ordered one but three eyeshadow palettes. Insane? Guilty as charged. Some of you might already know if you’ve been following my blog that I can be so obsessed when it comes to eyeshadow palettes.

Can you see it? Can you see it?

So the next thing I got is the Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave that houses 30 eyeshadows in one palette. I wanted to try this palette for a long time and I’m glad to have my hand on them. It also comes with a double ended brush and a huge size mirror on the lid. I wear it once so I’m not going to judge this one yet. I’ll continue to try it and would report back later.

Moving on more …

Is the Makeup Revolution Affirmation Ultra Eyeshadows that consists of 32 amazing color spectrum? I can see here a nice selection of finishing for matte, shimmery and satin. It’s the same size palette with the Fortune Favours The Brave palette except a missing brush in this one. More detailed review will be posted once I’ve tried it out.

I’ll think I want to do a review on this after I’ve tried it for a while though. So ya! I’m so excited about this.

The third eyeshadow palette I have is I Love Makeup 16 Eyeshadows by Black Velvet.

The packaging is cute with a heart jewel on the velvet front are in line with the palette theme. Another thing to point out is that, I love it when brands go all the way out to name their shadows. Don’t you? Or is it just me?

This palette is predominantly a matte palette with 13 shades being matte formula and 3 selected shimmer. I get excited when I see so many matte shadows to play with.

I forgot to add this in the group picture. Opps! My bet!  But here is a full size bottle of the Makeup Remover aka Facial Cleansing Water in 250ml net wt. It smells good and I don’t have anything bad to say about this product.

I’ve been trying for the past weeks and every single day. So far, I’m quite happy with it but I’d want to try it a little longer. In the meantime, I was hoping to find something similar here at the drugstores.

So, overall, I’m quite satisfied with all these makeup goodies from UK. I’m going to be busy trying out all of these goodies for the next few weeks or so.

Let me know some of your UK drugstore products you like to me try. Don’t forget to follow me on my blog. And if so, I hope to see you again on my next one.

Thanks to all for stopping by to read and comment. Until next time, keep been awesome.

Best Cruelty Free BH Ultimate Lips To Go – Review & Swatch

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog 🙂

Good Morning everyone! I’ve been awake since half 6 this morning –  nice and early today, currently sipping on a cup of coffee and hoping that this will help a few of you in some way!

I’m very excited to publish my post this morning and planning to write another two more reviews hopefully.

Today, I’m going to be taking about this gorgeous Ultimate Lips To Go 6 Color Lipstick Palette by BH Cosmetics and as you can see they’re colorful and oh-so pretty!

There are 6 glorious shades in this palette. All of each are equally pretty than the other. This palette is definitely something for everyone whether you’re up for a red dark plum lips to coral wearer.

This palette is cruelty free and here I’m sharing the ingredients this lip products contained on this compact packaging.

Keep scrolling to see something cool….

I really like the color selections in this palette and look how sleek and compact the packaging is. You can simply throw it in your purse and touch-up whenever you want, girl! It’s so convenient and oh yes, did I also mentioned it came with a lip brush! Yay!

My only complain is that the packaging is without a mirror, which didn’t bother me at all. I only do the touch-up in the “Ladies”/”Rest Room anyways.

Now, behold for these epic awesomeness. Aren’t they the prettiest for a good value!

Sharing here the color swatches – very pigmented, smooth and glides on lips like a dream. I’m loving it and wearing a mixed of coral and mauve colors today. Let me point it out that these lipsticks last quite well.

Capture For everyday lips Capture Ombre lips Korean  For ombre lips Korean

I’ve noticed especially with the darker shades, is that they turn into stains on my arm after doing the swatches. Honestly, I really wouldn’t mind having lip stain on especially after my lipstick faded.

If you haven’t seen this from BH Cosmetics yet, then I’d definitely recommend you go and check this product. A DEFINITE KEEPER FOR BEGINNERS OR PRO MAKEUP LOVERS.

This amazing lipstick palette is for $5.00 when you purchase more than $25.00 from BH Cosmetics. I’m not sure if they still have this promotion up but do check out this product when they put them as permanent line.

Have you seen this on Bh online website? Would you pick up this palette? As always I absolutely love reading your comments and still have a lot to get through!

Hope you all enjoy this post, the product and the look and I can’t wait to see what you all think!

Sharon xoxo

Drugstore Makeup Fails!

Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by my blog.Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts and opinions on the drugstore makeup fails.

Maybelline’s “The Rock Nudes” Palette is the newest 12 pan eyeshadow palette that is part of their Spring 2016 Collection. Yes,  this is another palette from the brand that is part of their larger palette series back in 2014 when they first launched The Nudes palette.

First up, I’m going to talk a little bit about Maybelline The Rock Nudes Eyeshadow Palette.

I wasn’t hesitant at all when I saw this new palette expecting that the formula would be similar or better than its predecessor but I was fairly disappointed. Many of you who have been following my blog knows that I’ve a huge obsession with eyeshadow palettes so that’s how this palette got in my collection.

It houses 12 smokey shades for $17.99 a palette. The packaging is not sexy or luxe whatsoever. If you’ve other palettes from the Maybelline The Nudes collection, then you would totally know what I’m saying. Boring same old drugstore plastic packaging.

I found that when you swatched with just one swipe of the color, the shadows were a bit chalky and not as deep in pigmentation.

I really don’t like the formula in this palette at all. The shadows are too powdery with low color pigmentation. The color selections are equally terrible. There are many similar shades in this palette as you can see on the swatch colors. I hate to say this but the staying power isn’t there at all.

Drugstore makeup prices continue to rise higher and higher unfortunately. I feel like I can use that money towards something mid-range.

On me, all the colors seems to mix up together and makes my eyes look like I just had a major fight.

Sad to say but this palette is truly a miss for me.I prefer shadows that doesn’t need a lot of effort to create a pretty look. These shadows definitely take a little more effort and need a good base or primer to get the most pay off. I wouldn’t recommend this palette to anyone. Keep your money and invest on some other drugstore brand that’s of much better quality.

Essence Smokey 2 in 1 Kohl Liner from the drugstore Pharmaprix (SDM). I believe this is the only shade they carry the last time I check.

I should say I’m not really a kohl kinda girl, I prefer regular old eyeliners. But Essence’s formula is actually kinda nifty.

Here’s why!

I always thought that a 2 in 1 formula kohl acts as either a liner or a blendable shadow. Do you agree?

I like how I can apply a thicker layer of this on my lash line but it takes a lot more work to draw a wing. The tip is thick and soft formula makes it hard to pull out a slaying cat eye.

My two cents opinion, this kohl is better as eyeshadow than an eyeliner. It smudges well and it goes powdery as you work, so it looks like you just applied a black eyeshadow.

So, as an eyeliner, I wouldn’t recommend it but would be great as cream eyeshadow if they have them in different shades. I don’t have the great skill to create a beautiful smokey eye with neither powder shadow nor kohl. So, for that reason and the limited color choices, I’m going to pass.

Having said that, I will be searching for my holy grail eyeliner for sure. This are my personal opinions and the products I just mentioned might be your holy grail and I’m totally fine with it. Unfortunately, these two are my drugstore makeup fail products.

Let me know if you experience any makeup fails? Love to hear your comments.

Anyway, that’s it from me for now. Talk soon.:) Bye!
