The Burgundy Bar Eyeshadow Palette Is Finally Here!

@Maybelline #Burgundybar

Maybelline keeps teasing us with their new launch and finally a new palette that we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived to North America. You guys know that I’m the biggest eyeshadow fangirl ever and when I saw this palette staring back at me from the shelf. Well, the rest is history!

Burgundy Bar Palette

This Burgundy Bar Eyeshadow Palette by Maybelline just scream amazing.

#Maybelline Burgundy Bar

The packaging in similar to their Nudes Palettes. A dozen color selection is arranged perfectly in the slim and sleek compact. You can easily slip into your purse for last minute makeup. For your convenient it also comes with a duo-ended applicator.

Closed up Burgundy Bar Palette

Lots of pretty warm toned purple themed shades in this palette. There are only two matte shades in the bunch which make this palette so versatile.

Can you tell that I’m all over this palette! It’s highly pigmented with soft buttery texture that take your look from day to night. Honestly, I think this is a pretty palette to have. The two matte shades are very workable adn I really love the shimmer quality. I’m surprise by how easy it was to blend.

First row

Just look how pretty these eyeshadows swatches. They each swatch incredibly well and a little goes a long way. Love it!

Maybelline the Burgundy Bar Palette
Second row

Personally, I can’t wait to create a dramatic shadow look from this palette. I just love the intense pigmentation and all these warm toned shadows. Such beautiful colors that really make my brown eyes pop.

My favorite go to eye look this whole week has been this maroon shade all over the lid and into the crease and on my under eye area, then I use the orangey copper on my inner corner of my eyes for a nice pop of color today. I don’t even prime my eye lids when I tested this out. I’m pleased to say that it’s very easy to use and it last all day. It’s very nice and I love that they swatched as good as you apply them on your eyes. It’s suprisingly wearable and I enjoyed it alot. The finish look is beautiful and I love it!

If you’re looking for an affordable eyeshadow palette that delivers then the Burgundy Bar is definitely worth trying. I think the quality for the price point and the wearability of this palette is great, you’ll get a lot use out of it and you’ll not be dissappointed with how much you’re paying and what you’re getting for it. This is really a good value!

Will you purchase this palette? Or have you already? Comment what’s your thoughts in the section below.

Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze Discontinued

Sadly it’s that time again – time to say farewell to some products you may or may not have loved.

I wanted to share some products that are currently being cleared out! Keep your eye out for sales on these items, and get them before they’re gone!

Today’s focus is on Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze Blush Stick:  currently, it appears that all shades are on clear out! This isn’t really surprising, since these never sold very well. Let’s face it what the drugstore world needs now is more blush sticks because the selection is a lacking. It’s a bummer that this lovely glaze blush stick has been discontinued.

Well, let’s take a look at the Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick and see what the good word is.

These are a tiny chubby swivel up blush stick which house 0.24 oz of product for their $10 price tag but I got these on clearance for $3.00 each. I wouldn’t have paid for the full price for a drugstore brand.

Apparently they contain shea butter which gives them their creamy glide but I will say they powder dry down experienced did cling to my drier areas a bit so not completely a dewy finish for me but more of a satin powder one. A decent staying power that’s not so worth raving about.

The shades I picked up have very nice pigment at first application and blend out quite nicely to a natural looking finish.

Here’s another shade I got in Warm Nude. Gorgeous gorgeous color!

It’s a lightweight cream blush which comes in a little push-up tube applicator. Makes blending effortless. Goes on smoothly and beautifully.

If you’re in the market to try a cream blush then you’re going to like this. It gives a very natural look, perfect for no-makeup days when you just want to wake up your face.

Left- Right: Warm Nude & Coral Sheen

I personally like the formula of this cream blush and hoping the would bring back a similar formula but with improved packaging.

Are you a cream or powder blush wearer? Have you tried it before? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by the blog. Have a great week, everyone!

Epic Drugstore Beauty Haul For Only $2

Hey you guys! Thanks for dropping by my blog.

These are products that are new to me and I snapped them before they’re all gone.

There are two products in this haul and each is more exciting than the next.

Let’s start with the Essence Unforgettable Kiss Duo Blush. Available in two shades, the formula is decently pigmented but still adds a light and luminous look to the skin.

I absolutely adore the packaging and love the color blushes. Essence Unforgettable Kiss with two shades in each blush you can use it whichever way you like. I’ve either been dipping my brush in all two or using each individual shade for a pop of color.

If you’ve fair skin type then the shade 02 in Pink Me would look gorgeous on you. I’ve been loving the shade Nothing But Lovestoned now as it gives a gorgeous flush and has a slight sheen to it which really illuminates my cheeks.

Who is with me on this one, I’m a sucker for anything cute. So, I instantly like the heart shaped packaging with little hearts printed on with essence logo on it.

I wanted to pick both shade so that I can show you here in my blog. Both shades are matte so they have a really natural finish on the skin once blended.

Check out this Pink Me swatches on bare arm. Pretty color, don’t you think?

Next is the other blush in Nothing But Lovestoned color swatch. The finishing is a bit faded and a tad powdery, but it don’t really bothers me. I like that it could be layered to your desired look.

If you like product that’s not over the top or if you’re on a budget that you don’t want to spend more than $5 for a blush then I think this are an awesome choice.

I also picked up some of these gorgeous looking Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments while I was there. It was on the liquidation rack for $2.00 and so I grabbed three of the shades that shouts out to me. I really love their color range.

Maybelline really step up with many incredible shades for this collection.

When you think that it’s really very hard to work with where they will get into your face and it’d fall down everywhere but it was actually darn easy. The actual pots itself do gets a bit messy  because of the pigments and you do want to pick up a tissue and dabbed your brush in it and brush the excess away.

My favorite color is the Breaking Bronze. Can you tell? It has such gorgeous shade.

Next, I picked up this Wild Gold which is quite pretty. I’m so excited to wear it this summer.

These shades are so pretty and such sophisticated on lids and they’re not overly shimmery or glittery.

Definitely check out my other blog I’ll link below and social media.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I’ll see you guys again on the next one. Bye!

The Best Cheap Makeup aka Drugstore Dupe

Confession: Alright! I’m a makeup hoarder. Okay, maybe that wasn’t exactly groundbreaking news but you see, I love makeup. I do not discriminate towards any certain price point. If it’s good stuff, I will sing its praises. In fact, I am a sucker for a good dupe, and will always choose it if it performs just as good as its high end counterpart.

As a self-proclaimed beauty addict, I’m not ashamed of my love for/need to try every new product out there, but obviously this addiction isn’t very budget-friendly.

Today, I’ve something special to share with you all. I’ve here what I think is the best cheap makeup. They’re everything you can find at your drugstore. From foundation, mascara, to eyeshadows and more! Keep your eyes peeled for what I’m about to reveal here. Who doesn’t love a good splurge…. but a good steal is the real thrill!

Best of all? This bad boy is under $10! Hurray!

I have this Color Tattoo Metal 24 Hrs Eyeshadow in Barely Branded for $7.67 at my local drugstore but you can find it at Walmart, mass merchandise retailers or drugstores.
The shade is gorgeous. It is probably my most favorite cream shadow I acquired from Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal line. You know me: nude crazed lol!
Speaking of pigmentation, this Barely Branded has good pigmentation and creamy. Layering is easy to achieve and color last all day with no creasing and minimal fading.
Photo: Mac Cosmetics

You can wear it alone as an eyeshadow or like me I used it as an alternative dupe for Mac Painterly. I haven’t a clue how Mac Paint Pot formula is like but I heard this Color Tattoo Barely Branded is a close dupe for the shade Painterly. If you have tried both, I would love to hear your comments below.

I’m sharing my thoughts on my experience with Maybelline Color Tattoo and not comparing the difference of the two for dupes. This is just my personal liking for Color Tattoo Barely Branded shadow which I think was a great find for me to use as eye base until I’m ready to invest on the paint pot by Mac.
Here is the swatch out shadow directly from the pot. You can see just how pretty the pigmentation is. Amazing, right?
Since this is a dupe for Mac Painterly, you can easily save more than $15.00 easily.
Overall, I am blown away by the gorgeous shade in Barely  Branded and I’v been reaching for it since I got it. Now that I know I’m in love with this dupe, I’ll be repurchasing this once I ran out. You can find this product at any drugstores.
Off you go to your nearest drugstores to check it out for yourself and be sure to visit Maybelline website.
Got any beauty dupes you’ve found lately? Share your favorites with me in the comments below!
Thanks for stopping by. I’ll see you again on the next one! Ciao bella!

Make A Mauve Maybelline Master Glaze Stick Blush (Review & Swatch)

I always feel that the drugstore world is kinda lacking on the cream stick department, so Master Glaze Stick by Maybelline fills the void up. Do you feel the same way too!

Let’s start to read here.

So, last week I gave you some sneak peeks at some discovered Maybelline products in my previous post. I’ve put a link here for easy reference.

These are typically sell for C$8.00 -$10.00 depending where you get them. Each is a chubby little swivel up blush stick that holds 0.24 oz of product. I’ve the shade Make A Mauve by Maybelline  which is a pretty color but I may say it’s a little to dark for my skin tone when I told you about my impulse buy.

The shade I got is a deep mauve plum tone which is pretty color for darker skin type. Love the formula. It blends like a dream and a little goes a long way. The swatch below I did with one swipe. Look how pigmented and moist this Master Glaze product is.

I noticed that this dark mauve blush gives a pretty pearly finish on cheeks. I want to point it out that this blush  has very nice pigmentation, it’s creamy, and can be worn sheered out or built for a lovely pop.

It’s quite a nice color and I’ll likely get a nice bit of use out of it for light, natural Summer looks to blend with lighter coral blush to muff it up.

All in all, I’m happy with the product especially the formula and how easy to work on blending. It’s travel friendly which is also a plus if you’re someone who travels a lot.

So what do you think, Maybelline fans? Are you exited to share your comments below?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read. I’ll see you again on the next one 🙂

Maybelline The Brights Palette

the brights eyeshadow plaette

For those of you who aren’t subscribed to my blog yet I posted a post review previously of the Maybelline The Blushed Nudes palette. That particular palette is available in all drugstore stores. The original Nudes palette from Maybelline got very mixed reviews on YouTube, some people loved it, some people hated it. I personally thought it was fine, quite amazing frankly for been the first drugstore coming out with a palette format eyeshadow.

I also own the Brights palette which I’m going to talk about with you today. I’ve been lusting after the Brights since I saw it a long while ago. But instead, I grabbed the Blushed Nudes the second I saw it was available at the drugstore. Anyways, it’s better late than never right!

Adrenaline is running high and I’m so thrilled to share with you guys,

But in this post, we’re going to dig deeper into Maybelline Brights Eyeshadow Palette. The regular price is around $12.00 -15.00 and I got mine for about half the price. Yup, $7.99 from the original price tag of $15.00 at Winners. Incredible price don’t you think? I don’t have to hesitate with this purchase. The colors really appeal to me that make me bought it in a heartbeat.

The Brights by Maybelline New York

Top row from Left to Right: Shade 1 is a shimmery white. Shade 2 is a shimmery light pink, Shade 3 is shimmery taupe. Shade 4 is a shimmery lime green. Shade 5 is a shimmery gold and Shade 6 is a satin dark pink.

Bottom row from Left to Right: Shade 7 is a matte deep purple. Shade 8 is a matte black. Shade 9 is a satin medium cobalt blue. Shade 10 is a shimmery peach. Shade 11 a satin finish dark brown and lastly Shade 12 is a shimmery light blue. This is my most favorite quad 5, 6, 11 and 12!

The packaging is a beautiful black plastic casing with a clear window on the top that lets you see the shades inside. Exactly the same layout and design as the other palettes in Maybelline’s range.

Inside are 12 stunning shades that are overall more pigmented and blendable than the ones in the original palette. The plastic packaging is a bit flimsy and looks somewhat cheap but this is a drugstore palette and we’re not paying for packaging. We’re paying for pretty eyeshadows. But having said that, it’s a travel-friendly palette.

The instructions on the back of the palette give some guidance on how to make the most of the palette, which is really useful for eye makeup beginners. There are quads, trios and duos eye makeup guide that I find them fascinating but I find that the original Nudes has better color combination.

Color Swatches – Top Row

Though this palette is called “The Brights” the shades are actually quite muted. This is a very good option for people who would like to incorporate colors in their eye makeup, but do not want to go too bright. The finish varies across the colors. It’s a mix of matte, satin and shimmer finishes.

Color Swatches – Bottom Row

I’m showing you that with one swatch from the pan, you can see the lack of pigmentations immediately on my fingers. Bear in mind that I do not use primer or eye base when doing color swatches. Basically what you see is what you get.

color swatches the brights

Most of the shades are soft and have a creamy feel to them. But the two matte shades – Purple and Black (shades 7 and 8) are very dry and chalky.  I feel that they’re very patchy and difficult to work with.

Overall, I noticed that a few of the shades are less pigmented and the Purple and Black for been dry and patchy. There are a few misses but overall it’s a decent palette and I like it more than I thought I would. It has some pretty muted shades that you can wear for everyday use. I still think it’s worth a try.

Don’t forget to tune in, on my next post where I’ll share several different color eye makeup looks with this “The Bright” Eyeshadow Palette.

If you have this palette, or want to buy it, let me know your thoughts! Also, I’d love to hear what you think of Maybelline‘s palettes in general in the comment section.

Thanks so much for reading.

Wednesday Drugstore Epic Beauty Snag|Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow

color tattoo cream shadow

A worthy impulse buy for those who don’t wish to pay an arm and a leg for MAC’s Paint Pots. I grab this Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Fierce & Tangy (net wt: 0.14 oz) from the local drugstore.  Regular price at Uniprix drugstore is $8.99 but I got this one for $2.99 on special. Special products promo varies from store to stores.

It glides, blends, stays and leaves as you wish to manipulate it. No chalkiness, no unpleasant smells. Delicious looking shade that screams for fall season. I’ve other shades from this line but this shade just calling to me. So, I caved in (giggling!).

maybelline color tattoo

Here are some of the positive note I noticed. They don’t look greasy on my eyelids, they’re easy to apply and they stay put all day. As for the 24 hours claims by the Eyestudio, I didn’t go wearing it for 24 hours to confirm that but 9 hours is good enough for me.

It goes on quite nicely and can blend with other eyeshadows nicely. This product doesn’t run out very fast so you do get your moneys worth out of it. Very high pigmented goes on smoothly.

24 hrs color tattoo

Although I find that it’s a little thick, it’s not heavy. They are great by themselves and great layered too.

maybelline color tattoo

You can use your fingers to apply it on your lids or as an eye base. I noticed using fingers to pat works best when I work on it. It is bright, there’s no denying it, and the brightness is welcomed especially for fall season – more of a sunset silhouette in my opinion.

Look at this pumpkin or tangerine color swatch of Fierce & Tangy. Don’t you love this shade for fall? Don’t get me wrong, I love other shades too but this one is phenomenal to wear on lids this time of the year. Available in 10 vibrant shades at Ulta, Maybelline, Drugstores, Walmart etc.

I’m very tempted to show this EOTD to all of you for I know you’re going to like it! Oh well! Here it is:

eyestudio cream eyeshadow

First, I applied the cream shadow on the eyelid to the crease using my finger to pat them on.  Then I used my favorite Baked and Beautiful Eyeshadow by Bh Cosmetics. I like wearing the Brown on the crease and Dark Brown on the outer corner and I applied a Black liquid eyeliner by Elf on the lashline. You can stop here or put on your mascara and fake lashes and you’re good to go.

I didn’t use an eye base because this cream shadow is creamy and any eyeshadows would stick on and blend well. An easy to wear eye makeup look which leaves you sometime extra time to have a cup of hot moka.

final EOTD

Don’t forget to remover your eyeshadows before going to bed. That’s one of the makeup rules. So, the bonus of this cream shadow is that they come off really easily with whatever you use as makeup remover. No dragging or harsh rubbing necessary.

Below is another EOTD look for a beautiful fall morning you may like to try.

Color Tattoo in Fierce and Tangy with Hard Candy Lost & Found Purple eyeshadows EOTD
Color Tattoo in Fierce and Tangy with Hard Candy Lost & Found Purple eyeshadows EOTD

I recommend you to get on the Love Boat for this one. I love ’em for the quality and good value for money. And so affordable, too!! My total star product – I love love love it and will repurchase as long as Maybelline has this on the shelves.

Which shades of Color Tattoo have you collected? If not, which color are you likely to pick up next? Make sure to leave your comments down below.

Maybelline The Nudes And The Blushed Nudes

Maybelline eyeshadow palettes

By now, you guys might have guessed that I love talking and sharing my views and opinion on eyeshadow palettes. I’m obsessed and I’m not ashamed to admit it. But don’t get me wrong, I love everything about beauty and makeup but this is my most talked subject in my post for now. Eventually, I’ll be touching on other interesting and cool topics as the season changes. If you are an eyeshadow junkies like me, then you might want to continue reading …

Maybelline Eyeshadow Palettes

Let’s get started:- lots of pictures below

Here are the two contenders. The top is The Nudes and the bottom The Blushed Nudes Palettes both by Maybelline. Palettes are available at any drugstores and online. Don’t forget to check them out if you’re on a budget spending. Prices below $15.00 depending on the drugstores and locations in the area.

The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette by Maybelline is a warm neutral nude eyeshadows. There are 12 shadows with six mattes and six shimmery finish. I did a full review awhile ago and here is the link if you like to read more about it.

Inside this palette holds all the shadows from light to mid tones and dark. Very versatile and I just love the colors in this palette. This palette is for every color tones. Perfect for everyday wear for a natural looking appearance or you can easily spice it up to a smokey and intense evening wear. Both looks are a delight to my eyes.

Maybelline The Nudes Palette

I’m excited so I can’t help but to do a color swatch again for your eyes only. Directly taken from the pan and swiped on my bare hands (no primer). The colors stay true and no creasing detected.

Another palette from Maybelline is the Blushed Nudes that was added to its new collection. This palette has more rosy pink undertone and some pretty shades on the bottom palette. If you love pink shadows and are pale skin, I believe this palette would work beautifully. The shades that can translate on my light to medium skin are the darker shades.

This palette has nice pigmentation and smooth texture. The textures on both palettes are similar. They’re smooth with no creasing at all. To read more about the full review, hit here for recent throwback.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes

Keep your eyes peeled for this color swatches. Applied on bare hands without eye primer, The top row looks invisible on my skin tone except the last shadow on the right and the rest are blendable and pretty easy to work with. I wasn’t that impressed with the lighter shadows. This palette has four matte shadows only compared to the Nudes palette which has six mattes.

Maybelline Eyeshadow Palettes Comparison

Side by side color swatches of both palettes and the order of the shadows placed.

the nudes

Let me close by saying, I am no artist. I am also not a professional beauty guru. And I will not be on the next season of the Reality TV Beauty Competition, lol. This is just how I wear my eye makeup that I’ve been so obsessed with. If you’re beginners then I hope this post would help to inspires you.

the Blushed Nudes

I always have fun working on makeup and wearing lovely eyeshadows and today, I’m sharing these eye makeup looks using Maybelline The Nudes and The Blushed Nudes shadows. I would repurchase the Nudes palette in a heartbeat if I needed to (I obviously don’t and have enough eyeshadow to last a hundred lifetimes). But  some of those shades are just beautiful. For the price and quality, I say GO for it. The Nudes or The Blushed Nudes, the choice is yours!

Let me know if you try this out! Or if you have another way of doing your eye makeup look!!!

Thanks so much for taking your time to read.

I heard lots of raves recently about this Maybelline New Mascara collection for this summer and I just can’t stop to been curious what’s all the hype was all about. There were mixed reviews from youtubers but I personally don’t think that I’ll like to wear Chaotic even if it means having a sexy mess!

Question: Can anyone tell me why do you want to pick this VOLUM’ EXPRESS THE COLOSSAL© CHAOTIC LASH WATERPROOF by Maybelline? What is Maybelline trying to pull with this new mascara?

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser|Review

maybelline instant age rewind

It’s a long weekend and what better things to do than going shopping for beauty makeup, right! Okay, maybe it’s just me then but I enjoy walking in the mall where there are air-conditioner (giggling). Anyways, I found this at Winners (Canadian Retail Store) and I have been longing to get this Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Makeup for the longest time ever. I was inspired to get this foundation after watching a beauty guru raving about it. Okay, I admitted that I waited to for it to go on sale but it didn’t seems to be happening every time I checked at the drugstore and boy was I glad and thrilled when I saw this for less than $6.00. Regular price at my local drugstore is $14.99.

There wasn’t many shades to choose from and I was full of joy when I saw the shade Honey which is the shade I’ll get on a regular basis. You can also find more available shades at Maybelline’s online website or your local drugstores.

maybelline brush

The packaging is in a plastic bottle with a twist top sponge head applicator attached to the bottle. I personally think this is a cool design. It’s so easy to carry when travelling and its durable.  It sort of reminds me of the foundation stick which I love when going travelling. This packaging is more improved in the sense that the sponge works to blend and buff the formula with ease. No brush required. The downside of this packaging is that the sponge head will get dirty fast and for hygienic purposes, I do not recommend sharing this bottle. The trick I use every time I finished using is to use a makeup remover wipes to clean the formula off. I think this packaging is really depending on personal preference.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind

The formula blends incredibly well and I love how easy it is to apply. It manages to cover my dark circle areas very well and it has an impressive consistency which I really like. It’s not too thick and it works o hide uneven skin and doesn’t cause me breakout.

It brightens the dark circle area but not overly shiny. I also notice that it sits perfectly on my face and it is long wearing. Buildable coverage without looking cakey or heavy. Hurray!!! Another good news is that this eraser makeup has SPF 18 to protect your skin from sun damage. If you have dark eyes circle that needs coverage, try it, you’ll like it 🙂

I will definitely repurchase once I run out this bottle ❤

Which drugstore makeup concealer that works on you? Love to hear your comments.

Have You Ever Wonder? Maybelline …

Hey guys!

Could this be a real dream? Let me share with you whether it is or is not. I’m super excited.

Dream wonder maybelline                                             maybelline dream wonder texture

Dream Wonder foundation was launched recently sometime last June of this year and was an Insta-stir. Its unique featherweight, silky texture and dry-oil texture gives the most natural foundation finish ever. Best of all it comes in 12 beautiful shades to pick.

It comes with a dropper that allows foundation to drop on the finger or hand for blending purposes. This formula absorbed and sets very quickly, so blending with fingers is much better than using foundation brush.

color swatch dream wonder

(Color swatch) Dream Wonder liquid foundation in 85 Sun Beige (net wt: 20 ml)

Just look at its consistency. Incredibly smooth and easy to blend. It has medium coverage and it sets in seconds giving a natural and beautiful finish look.

sets in dream wonder

The texture looks very much the same as of L’oreal Magic Nude Powder Bare Skin Perfecting Makeup which was launched last fall. As you may know that Maybelline is owned by L’oreal Paris. Dream Wonder has the similar formula with it’s predecessor which means there have these two different brands that catered to demographic group and price point.

I paid $12.99 for this bottle at Targetl. I love the shade that suits me and with the awesome natural looking skin, I will definitely repurchase it again. I would recommend it for I find this foundation very easy to use and it’s so lightweight as if not wearing the foundation at all. No wonder, it is a dream come true! 🙂

What’s your take on this most talked Dream Wonder foundation? I love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading.
