I dream of St Lucia! NYX Caribbean Collection ~Review

It’s Saturday morning and it’s raining outside. I wanted to share this post with you. Yesterday, as I stepped out from my house, there were autumn leaves everywhere on the ground. The color of golden and amber leaves baking under the soft bright sun. I felt inspired to do a review on this lovely “I dream of St Lucia” eyeshadow palette by NYX. I saw three colors of fall from this palette and I quicky started to use them for my autumn makeup look. I posted my beauty haul yesterday and feel free to check it out.

NYX brand is available at Target and also at some local Canadian drugstores. I picked up mine at a drugstore.

These are the color swatch from the palette. Such gorgeous pigmented eyeshadows. I really love the orange one best out of the other 4. So, that is why I’m doing the amber eye look. The formula is soft and smooth and it blends so well. I noticed that the pink and yellow ones need more blending since the shades are a little bit lighter. Otherwise, the colors are all gorgeous and wearable.

For this amber eyemakeup look, I just apply the eye primer and then I go ahead to blend the orange color shadow and the yellow as highlighter. I love the consistency of these shadows.

I used the Prestige eyeliner in Granite color to outline just top of my lids. I also dap a bit of the yellow eyeshadow to the  centre of my eye lids (shown on the left) to make my eyes look more popped.

I’m impressed that for such an easy and simple steps, this color palette can gives such beautiful and vibrant color to the eyes. I will be playing more with these amazing colors since all 5 colors seems to work well together.

I have several eyeshadow palettes and this is one of my go-to palette of all time.  The value can’t be beat. Well, the packaging is simple and  it’s hand travel friendly. I’m very happy with my purchased and I will definitely go to pick up one more as backups. I do want to try the “I Dream of St Marteen” in a more neutral shades for everyday look.

Autumn Leaf Color ~ My Fantastic 9 – Autumn Breeze!

Last weekend, I was at the Parc Regional du la rivere du-nord, I was inspired to do this new makeup look using the autumn leaves colors. I can’t help but been sucked into the beauty of the season. Therefore, here is another of my new eye makeup look series “My Fantastic 9 ~ Autumn Breeze edition.

I started by filing in my eyebrow with my all time favorite Prestige Eye Brow pencil in Medium/Dark color and the eyeshadow palette which I used for this makeup is NYX The Caribbean Collection and SAX eyeshadow palette, which I bought it at a drugstore long time ago. I used most of the color from this NYX palette since it has all the color shades for autumn leaf. Which is orange, yellow, green and red and brown from the Sax palette.

I then used my favorite eyeliner by Prestige to draw on the top eyelids and finished it with NYC mascara in Jet black.

My Fantastic 9 ~ Autumn Breeze- Winged eyeliner under eyes

Hi beauties, welcome to my first edition of My Fantastic 9 ~ Autumn Breeze new makeup look for this autumn. If you remembered, I posted in my previous blog that I will be sharing with you my new autumn look.

Fantastic 9 Makeup

I’m using a very different makeup style for my eyes this time. I am doing a winged eyeliner under my eyes and a more daring look. The makeup which I used were my Fantastic 9. I know it is a fashion to wear the winged eyeliner under instead of on top. Well, I love to try different things especially on makeup and so there you have it. Strange or you can say artistic, I sure enjoyed playing with my eyeshadow palettes and looking great.

I just got the NYX makeup few days ago from a drugstore and since I’m so thrilled to try these bright, vibrant eyeshadows and also to do my new autumn look. I just can’t wait and therefore you got a sneak preview of some of the products that I will be featuring on my Friday Beauty Haul.

Iam using the yellow to cover my eye lids and also as a highlighter. The orange color shadow I used it as a soft crease line from NYX palette and the purple I’m using the Maybelline cream shadow for my lid. Then, I lined  the upper lids with ELF eyeliner and then followed by Prestige pencil to make the underlined winged eyes effect. Finished my winged eyes look with black mascara from Hard Candy.

I’m super excited to share my new found experience with you all and I hope you will also be inspired to do something new. I definitely love this look and I have been wearing it for more than 5 hours and all my makeup are still intact. I loved the blusher, it’s so pigmented and the color payoff is so amazing. I did two gentle brushing and the color is just so so amazing.

The BB cream that I am wearing is in medium shade and I like the coverage of it. The downside of this BB cream is that it only has 2 shades to choose from. Either light or medium tone. So, I think that the medium is still quite light for my color tone especially in the summer but since I usually turned lighter skin when it’s winter where there were less daylight.

This lip liner is soft and it glides easier and able to let me draw my lip line and also filling in the color which I just love. For this look, I’m using more matte color to complement my overall makeup look. I absolutely love this adventure of doing this autumn look.

Hope you like my new makeup look and click like if you did! I will also be featuring a few more new looks in the next coming weeks under My Fantastic 9 ~ Autumn Breeze Makeup Look.

What are the new look that you have tried before?

Thanks for reading.

I’m starting off with a brown color eye look with dark berry color lipstick and pretty coral blush and finishes it with a touch of mascara. Oh yes, I put on my moisturizer cream as usual and then the matte mousse foundation before applying all the makeup.

Pixi Mesmerizing Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey guys!

Yesterday, I put up some of my beauty haul. It was my recent purchased from Target. Frankly, I haven’t tried Pixi makeup before and I’m just thrilled to be able to pick up this pretty eyeshadow palette in Copper Peach for $12.00 (0.20 oz).

Pixi Mesmerizing Eye Shadow

Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette.

On their website, it shows five different varieties of color palettes. This palette is not a limited edition since I don’t see anything on the packaging that says so.

Color swatch

I would say that the colors are almost nude and neutral. It’s a very pretty color and I think it is well suited for everyday wear. Some shades are smoother/softer than others, but all of the shadows commonly are very pigmented, and you only need the lightest touch of the brush for good color pay-off (especially the darker shades).

These colors are beautiful and smooth. It’s silky and the pigmentation was perfect. There are three matte colors in the palette and three shimmery or gem-y. I also noticed that the third and fifth color seems to be pretty similar when I made the color swatch. Both colors looked like light beige to me on swatch. Color division of the packaging are clean and sleek.

I like the box packaging. It was of soft light green with gold lining.  I’m sure some of you would know that green is one of my favorite colors. These colors are great. The pigment is perfect and it stays all day. It didn’t crease has any fall out and I really like the smooth and soft texture of this eyeshadow.

At $12.00 a palette , these eyeshadow is decent in price for Target brand but a little bit pricey for high street store.

I find it to be a lovely everyday shade. Great for day and evening wear. I used three color shades from the palette for my makeup look, top with granite color eyeliner by Prestige and mascara from NYC.

What is your favorite makeup product from Pixi?

Thanks for reading.
