What I’m Most Excited About The Month of May|Sephora Birthday Gift

Is it just me or is the month of May flies incredibly fast! It’s pretty scary but since my birthday is in another few days. I can’t hold on the excitement any much longer, therefore I just posted this to share it with you guys.

There’s this saying “Time goes fast when you’re having fun”. Does that happens to anyone?

Sephora Birthday Gift 2018

I actually got this two weeks ago when I was shopping at Sephora and also picked up this beautiful Sephora Insider Birthday Gift Set. In case you haven’t heard, you can sign in your acount with Sephora to get the privilege for free birthday gift minis during your birthday month at any Sephora stores near you.

I’ve tried a few lip products by Bite Beauty which I adore so I’m really excited to try out these two pretty standard neutral shades!

#Bite lipstick
$24

First thing first is the Matte Crème Lip Crayon in the shade Glacé. It’s such a pretty Dusty Mauve that’s highly pigmented and long-lasting. I love and wear it a lot!

Bite Lipstick swatch

This matte color swatches so beautifully!

Matte Cream Lip swatch

It’s matte and it’s creamy! What’s that not to love! The formula isn’t drying at all and the finishing is just so gorgeous. Perfect matte which looks right up my street! If you’re a matte lipstick wearer like me, it’s a must-have!

#Bite Lipstick
Regular size: $26

Moving on I got a deluxe size Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Chai. It’s described as a Mauve Brown which really pretty. On their website, they claim this stuff is made with natural and organic ingredients which I find very assuring.

I can confirm it keeps your lips moisturized and a slight minty balm when I had it on. The formula feels really creamy and nice on the lips without being too sticky or too thick to use year round. The consistency is really great and did I mentioned that it glides on like a dream!

#Bite Lipstick Color Swatch

I’m loving this lip color! It’s wearable for any occasion and it’s really just a beautiful neutral shade for anyone.

One is more gorgeous than the other so I can’t possibly choose my favorite but I’ve to say the mauve brown is a strong contender. I like that it makes my teeth look so much whiter. Once I put it on, I don’t want to take it off! This one has to be my absolute favorite which I also wearing today in the photo below!

Bite Amuse Bouche
#LOTD I’m wearing “Chai” for this look
Bite Agave
#everydayagave   L: Agave Sugar Lip Scrub   R:  Agave Lip Balm

Last but not least, is the Agave. This is my first time trying them and were really excited. Made with natural agave nectar that helps lock in the moisture giving your lips that hydration it needs and will thank you later.

So what is Agave actually! Well, Agave is known for it’s restorative and healing qualities but not only does it restore and heal it also moisturize the skin leaving your lips looking and feeling amazing.

Let’s talk about the Agave Sugar Lip Scrub first. It’s super easy to use and does exactly what it says on their website. I like to just use my finger to swirl this product over my lips and get rid of any chapped areas. For a kissably soft lips, you don’t want to let this slip away!

Be it if you’re a person who’s always on the go or staying put in front of your mirror doing lip swatches, Agave Lip Balm is what your lips needs throughout the day!

I’ve been wearing this everyday since I got it and this stuff never fails to impress me. Applying it before bed gives me the softest lips the next day, so I was over the moon when I found out it comes in handy, on-the-go stick version too. It’s my current go to and I just know that they’ll for you too. I definitely need one in standard size!

What you need to know is that Bite Beauty does not contain parabens, phthalates, or sulfates. Bite is cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified!

Enough said, Bite Beauty is the best lip products brand out there and I love them! If you’re new to this brand you need to try them!

If you’re a Bite Beauty fan like me, comment down below and let me know what your favorite product is.

Thanks so much for taking the time out from your busy schedule to stop and read this. I truly appreciate it!

My Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette of 2018

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

Today I’m going to share with you the latest eyeshadow palette which I ordered through Sephora website on Boxing Day. And it’s none than the Huda Beauty New Obsession Palette that I’m going to talk about in great length down below.

#HudaBeauty OBsession Palette

Out of the four Huda Beauty new Obsessions Palettes line, the Warm Brown Obsession that I’m going to show you right now is the only palette that had one shimmer color and the rest were matte in case you’re wondering.

The intense and incredibly pigmented shadows just blew me away. All the shades in this palette are my favorites. Love the color selections and the versatility. The packaging is super cute and made with a sturdy cardboard material. A compact size palette that’s travel friendly and it comes with a good size mirror which I really appreciate.

Huda Beauty Obsession Eyeshadow Palette

This Warm Brown palette houses eight mattes and one shimmer shadows. These are some gorgeous, textured shadows with INSANE pigmentation. The color tones of browns, reds, oranges and that metallic bronze shadow in the middle is drop dead gorgeous. They’re suitable for any eye color or skin tone.

I’m obsessed with this palette. They’re both full of the most gorgeous, build-able colors that take your look from day to night. This shade over here is like life. It’s so gorgeous and it just lifts your eyes in a good way. They will give your eyes this beautiful, 3D pop that I’m obsessed with!

Packaging Huda Beauty.jpg

Texture wise, I’d say quite impressive. I’m pleasantly pleased with the formulation and the color payoff. A little goes a long way with these powder shadows.

Huda Obsession Warm Brown Swatch

The three matte shades here are a total winner in my book. If I were to only pick one palette to wear in 2018, this is my go to palette right now. There’s no question about it!

The first color from the left is Maroon Brown, then a Burnt Orange Light Brown followed by Orange Brown.

Huda Obsession Warm Brown #2

Next row you get a Matte Medium Deep Neutral Brown, with a single Metallic Bronze and an Eggshell Cream color.

So here are the nine eyeshadow shades from the Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsession Palette look like on swatches. It’s interesting that you’ve that shimmery metallic shade  and then it’s surrounded by all these matte shades. Quite an interesting concept don’t you think!

Huda Obsession Warm Brown Swatch #3

The 3rd row is a Muted Matte Coral, next is the Soft Tan and lastly a Medium Warm Brown.

I like all the mattes formulation simply because even though they’re pigmented, they blends incredibly well. They go on smoothly but not as creamy as I’d wish them to be but  it doesn’t bother me at all.

If you’re a color junkie, this palette has everything you need in a compact and affordable way. Well worth the investment!

You can also check out their three other palettes in Electric Obsession, Mauve Obsession and Smokey Obsession at Sephora or Huda Beauty websites whichever you prefer.

I hope you enjoy and find this post interesting. Again, thank you so much for all the love and support! It means the world to me!

Don’t forget to stay tuned for more interesting and exciting stories coming up every Monday!

Skincare Junkie Must Haves|#BlogmasBagMonday 3

Hey everyone! Welcome back to #BlogmasBagMonday 3. In today’s series, I’m going to be talking about my winter skincare because since I’m spending a lot of my winter at home trying out lots of new skincare products from brands that were sent to me. You guys know that I love skincare and I’m slightly high maintenance so after trying out these products for the past one to three weeks or so. I’m here to share the good news with you guys.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

But before we jump in, I’ve a confession to make. I got ahead of myself with all these blogmas thingy and out of excitement I went ahead and pulished a bonus post on the Bochery’s skincare product review. If you’re interested to read more about my two cents opinion, just click to the link.

#Blogmasbadmonday #3

Long story short, instead of only two skincare products, I decided to throw in an extra two more products from Fresh to talk about this week. Most of the stuff here, I’ve tried for more than a week and some much longer.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration cream

I love this Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream a lot and definitely go through it pretty quickly since winter make my skin really dry and I need all the protection this deep I could get and this moisturizing cream is the answer.

I can feel a litle tingle when I first had it on but this product really make my skin feel so good and moist. It’s quite rich and it’s really hydrating, so I love that. It’s super effective and after you use this your skin will be the softest it has ever been. If you’ve never tried it, definitely go check it out. Love this stuff!

Fresh Vit Nectar moisture glow
*pr sample

This is the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream and this is when I go out to the grocery or pick up my kid. I adore the fruity scents of nectar, it smells amazing! The texture is just incredibily lightweight and it’s just another moisturizing cream that I wear on top of the deep hydration face cream I was talking about earlier.

I really really love this citrusy scent of the face cream. It’s nourshing but not heavy which is a really good thing. This stuff will leave your skin with that healthy looking glow but most importantly, it does keep my skin moist in the day. It’s a perfect gift for any skin type.

The cutest thing in this series is the Soy Face Cleansing Milk. I got this from my Sephora Favorite Ultimate Skincare Vault box awhile back and I finally get the chance to try it out recently. Normally to remove my makeup, I of course have my favorite drugstore makeup removing cleanser but since trying out this stuff I find myself reaching for the latter one more. With this cleanser, you can actually smell the soy milk and floral scents that I really liked. It’s super effective to remove your makeup and leaving your skin squeaky clean. I just love it! I’ve been using it non-stop and will be going back to get the full size for sure.

Fresh Instant Glow highlighter
*pr sample

Lastly, we’re on to makeup stuff now. Last but not least is the Fresh Face Instant Glow Luminizer in Sunset that I’ve been so obsessed with. It comes in a tube packaging and I find it to be very convenient to bring anywhere I go.

I just want to show you how insanely glowy this highlighter was. Can we just take a few minutes to admire it! This stuff is so pigmented, a little goes a long way. This is the one that kind of rose gold in color highlighter. I was expecting it to be subtle and not expect it to be more like pop. I need glow a lot of these days of my life and this is just perfect. I think there’s only two colors that I know of. The other one is Starlight which is more of a white silver. I love that and this is so good! I like to dab it on my cheekbones, nose and cupid’s bow as highlighter. So this is definitely one of my favorite highlighter.

To me that’s a few things that I think any skincare junkies would need and appreciate. I don’t know if it’s a must haves for you but it’s like how a huge skincare junkie would need. So I hope you found this useful and definitely check them out at Fresh or Sephora website.

Let me know if you’re a skincare junkie and let me know what are your must-haves skincare products in the comment below.

I really love all the products I’ve tried from this brand and all my other products that only skincare junkie will understand. So that’s everything on this week’s Blogmas Bag Monday. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this and don’t forget to check back next week for the final series of Blogmas Bag Monday week #4.

The products that I’ll be trying for our next and last Blogmas Bag Monday #4 is this.

Aveeno EczemaCare

Thank you so much for stopping by to read. If you’re new to my blog, make sure you follow me on my blog.

Favorite Holiday Makeup Products!|#BlogmasBagMonday #2

Welcome back to Blogmas Bag Monday week #2. This is a weekly series for the month of December. Each week I rotate makeup products to try out and review for a full week. This week I test out some of my favorite holiday makeup products.

If you want to see all products perform last week than just keep on reading till the end.

Makeup Revolution Palette

I tested out the Makeup Revolution London Ultra Eyeshadows in Affirmation. There are 32 eyeshadows in this palette. You good color selection from matte, shimmer to metallic. I’m also loving all the names of the shadows in this palette.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 1

Top row L-R: Pledge, Forward, Affirmation, Morale, Approve. Hope, Advance & Truth. As we approach nearer to the biggest holiday ever and as year 2017 closing to an end, it’s also a perfect time to reflect the past by giving thanks with words of affirmation and setting new goals for the new year. The names of these eyeshadows speaks to me for example I want to tell myself to press forward, there’s hope, take time, be confidence, make promise, reliance and share positive vibes. Which of these pop up the most to you? Share in the comment and let me know down below!

I’ve been reaching out for Pledge, Forward, Advance and Truth practically the past few days for my everyday neutral eye makeup look.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 2

Second row from L-R: Positive, Vouch, Accept, Time, Reliance, Confidence, Blaze & Light. These shadows swatches beautifully with only one swipe on bare hands. They’re that pigmented and could we just take a second to just appreciate the stunning colors. I’m loving all the shades in this row. Among the eyeshadows in this palette, I’d say the warmest color tones comes from this row. They’re very versatile and stay on the entire day I was wearing them. I didn’t notice all fall out or creasing from any of the shadows whatsoever. They stay put the entire time which I really appreciate.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 3

Third row L-R: Vow, Reveal, Oath, Rely, Consent, Willing. Vouch & Promise. The formula and pigmentation of each eyeshadow is quite consistent. They’re soft and smooth in texture, thus making blending so easy. The colors are true to its color. What you see is what you get.

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Color Swatch Row 4

Last row L-R: Announce, Convey, Assure, Disclose, State, Insist, Bold & Declare are my least favorite shades except for Assure and Insist which are great for smoky eye look. I was hoping Declare to be a really dark matte black but turns out, it’s not as pigmented and a little patchy to my liking. That’s the only complain I’ve from this palette.

#EOTD MAKEUP REVOLUTION EYESHADOW PALETTE

Otherwise, overall I’m quite impressed with this palette. I really like the formula and the color payoff.  If you’re down with cool toned shadows and are on the market for a product that feels special with an affordable price tag then this is a great item to add to your makeup collection.

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow To Go

You may have noticed that I’ve been obsessed with Tarte products lately and when I saw this Pro Glow To Go Highlight & Contour Palette on the Sephora website during their Black Friday Sale, it’s obvious I had to get it. There are three products in the set, you get a highlighter, a lip paint and a mascara.

Tarte Pro Glow

This is a two highlighters and one contour powder palette. A trio compact packaging that comes with a big mirror is very travel friendly. The formula is pretty dense (in a good way) so there was not a lot of excess powder kicked up in the pan. The first two highlighters are frosted shimmer and most suitable for someone who likes a shinny and more shimmery highlighter. The matte contour performs  amazingly well. It’s highly pigmented and a little goes a long way with this product. I like how easy it blends and the bronze-y finish it gives.

It smell like a delicious cocoa candy, I wish I could eat it.

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow

Top to bottom:

  • Gleam is a light, golden beige with warm undertones and a frosted sheen.
  • Burst is a bright, creamy yellow with a golden frosted shimmer.
  • Chisel is a muted, medium brown with subtle, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish.

This one product stand out the most for me and I think you guys will love it just as much as I do! The pigmentation is out of this world. It’s insanely beautiful! Just one swipe on the cheekbone is all you need for a beautiful highlight. I wore the shade Burst again yesterday and yes, I think I’m falling in love with this stunning golden highlighter.

I think this palette will work amazing for someone who likes warmer and more intense highlighter like myself. The bad news is it’s not going to work for all skin tones and if you like subtle highlighter then this palette is not for you.

Tarte Lash Paint Mascara

Next is the Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara that’s included in this set. The shade I’ve is in Jet Black. It’s a deluxe sample size tube packaging with a nice floral design on the cap. When I saw the word paint, I’m down with it. I was really excited to test it out. You guys know that I’m always on board to try everything or anything new brands comes out with and same goes for mascara.

Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara

After a week of trying, I concluded that it won’t replace my love for the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. It’s one of my most favorite mascara of all time. A mascara that adds volume and length to my lashes, what’s that not to love. I just love it! I’d stick with my old fame and honestly I don’t mind playing with a new mascara at all. Did I mention this product is cruelty free! Well, now you know.

I would recommend this to someone who already has a full and thick curly lashes but wants to up on the volume then you’re going to enjoy it.

Tarte Tarteist Lip Color

Moving on is the Tartiest Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in a travel size packaging. I like it when brands throw in lip product in their holiday set. For someone who has more than 60 lipsticks in my vanity, a travel size is mostly appreciated when it comes to trying out product. Don’t get me wrong, I love lipsticks and lip products in full size and I’m not complaining but once in awhile when brands gives you a sample size, I simply couldn’t ignore.

Tarte Tarteist Color Swatch

I don’t have the name of this particular shade and from my experience, I’m going to say it’s a rosy nude shade if you ask me.

My latest obsession is long wearing lip color and this product give me just that. I agree with the claim of quick dry lip paint. The formula dries up so fast on the lips in a good way and so comfortably lightweight. It’s feather light you wouldn’t notice you’re wearing it. The finishing goes from sheer to full if you like to layer up. A beautiful matte that’s not drying on the lips. Now we’re talking! On that positive note, I urge you to check it out. You won’t regret purchasing this one!

Givenchy Lipstick

I’m not lying when I told you that I’ve that so many lipsticks, right! Here’s another deluxe sample I got with my purchase of more than $25 at Sephora. High end lipstick is my jam and I love collecting them.

Givenchy Lipstick

This is my first acquisition of the Givenchy Le Rouge lipstick line and I’m all floored over this luxury packaging. The black and white tube packaging makes it look so sleek and elegant. I can stare at it the whole day!

Givenchy LIpstick Color Swatch

A stunning shade of Frambroise Velour (315) is described as a cool berry with a natural finish. The color is outstanding and I believe it will work across all skin tones, from light to dark and cool to warm. Everyone can pull off with this shade. You don’t have to be intimidated with the dark shade, it’s surprisingly not as dark as I thought and highly wearable for any occasion. I like that it doesn’t run vampy like some brands I’ve tried in the past. The texture is soft and feels so comfortable on lips. I’m excited to wear this shade over the Fall and Winter! The color is so flattering and helps brighten complexion. Wonderful!!!

Yves St Laurent Radiant Touch

I couldn’t make a favorite without mentioning the Yves Saint Laurent Radiant Touch Perfecting Pen in the shade Luminous Ivory (2). Perfect color for fair to light complexions with yellow undertones.

I don’t remember owning a gold pen highlighter before so this I treasure.

Wand Applicator Yves ST Laurent

I’ve been doing all those all-night blog a thons I’ve been pulling to get this Blogmas weeks off the ground and it’s finally catching up with me. When my hubby pointed out about the huge bags under my eyes, I’ve to do something about these and fast.

According to the company, the pen is a highlighter cream that will help your face “capture eight hours of sleep with the click of a pen.” It’s not really a concealer per se but rather a illuminator that brightens and make you look more awake.

I love to use this under my eyes, forehead, beside and on the bridge of my nose for brightening purposes. All I want this holiday season is a radiant and brightening look that hides my dark eyes and this pen did just that. I feel like I’m going to love this!

Elf highligting brush

I was very excited with the new Elf Cosmetics Highting Brush, it’s not new new in the market but at least new to me.  I’ve a few of their brush collection and I would say they didn’t disappoint me whatsoever. This is beautiful and has become my go to whenever I need to use it for highlighting and for blush. The quality is good and it’s a synthetic fiber brush. It works so well, I love elf brushes. It’s soft but still densely packed enough to actually work. I’d say it has that perfect softeness that still function very well. If you’re in the market for an affordable and yet workable brush, look no further. You need to try this for yourself!

So, that’s everything from last week and right here are products that I’ll be testing out for the upcoming week. All they’re as follows:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So, that’s everything that I’ll be testing out for next’s week #BlogmasBagMonday. Make sure you come back to read every Monday for the month of December. Then I’ll have really exciting new series coming out after the New Year. I’ll be doing A Peek Inside My PR BOX. So make sure you follow me on my blog.

As always thanks so much for stopping by and read. Have a wonderful rest of your day! I’ll see you again next week for another Blogmas Bag Monday week 3.

October Beauty Review & My Favorite Sephora Minis

Hey everyone! So today we’re going to do my a two part post. First will be my November beauty in review and followed by My Favorite Sephora Minis. I’m very excited to be doing this post and I hope you guys will enjoy it. I’ve quite a few products that I want to go through so let’s just jump right in.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I’ve only two skincare products that I wanted to rave about and it’s the Paula’s Choice Resist Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer, well that’s a mouthful and this Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum is a gift from my daughter.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Oh my gosh, these packaging are really cute. I was sent the Paula Choice’s item by a pr company and I’ve been liking it ever since. I did a review about it awhile ago and I’ll put a link here if you like to read it.

Moisturizer by Paula's Choice

Here’s the formula with a good consistency. It’s not runny nor too thick. It helps hydrate the skin and prevent it from UV light. It contains SPF 25 and if you’ve normal or dry skin types then you’re going to like this.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The second product and it’s the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum which is a birthday gift my daughter picked up from Sephora. She knows I’m obsessed with skincare stuff so she gifted it to me.

Caudalie Serum Eclat

It was my first time trying a serum from this brand and I was really blown me away. All reviews that I’ve seen on this have had the same reaction which is, I saw the results overnight. It’s a huge claim but this really surprised me the first day I tried it. It has                           in it and if you’ve hyperpigmentation scars or fine wrinkles, this is amazing. I’ve been using it for over 2 weeks or so and I find this helps in lighten those areas amazingly.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The Physician Formula Butter Blush in Natural Glow is the least that I’m excited about. I’m really disappointed with the formula and the color payoff. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the cute packaging but the color and formula of this just didn’t cut it for me. It didn’t do anything as far as I can see from a blush. The shade is very pale and I think it would be great for a highlighter than a blush in my opinion. It just didn’t give me the color that I was looking for.

Physican Formula Butter Blush swatch

I’m thinking of returning this one for something different.  So yeah, I wasn’t really particular about this. Sad to say that this doesnt work out for me. I was really dissappointed because I was looking forward to trying this but sometimes that happens.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Moving on, I”m going to talk about some of my all time favorite minis that I decided to revisit and have been loving. Sephora came out with what they call mini sizes products this holiday season so if that’s your thing, then you’re going to like these.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

URBAN DECAY Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette (C$36) I’ve tried this palette for a very long time and it’s still my favorite neutral matte color eyeshadow palette by far. It comes in a small and compact palette that’s travel friendly and easy to use. You get six lovely matte shadows that’s versatile and pigmented. It gives a nice matte finish that’s subtle and for extra long staying power, wear it on top of a primer. It works everytime for me. Urban Decay is a cruelty free brand that commits to end animal testing.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

TARTE Tartelette Tease (C$30) is another palette that I’ve with me for a very long time.  This is a six pan eyeshadow palette. It has a nice mix of matte and shimmery shadows.  The texture and the color payoff is just smooth as silk and amazing. Absolutely love this palette. If you’re looking for a neutral nude eyeshadow palette, this one is made for you. Really gorgeous and I absolutely love the colors and the texture. I’m obsessed, don’t know if you can tell! But anyways, I’m excited to do a #EOTD makeup tutorial on my Instagram post. So yeah, don’t forget to stay tuned!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer Mini (C$16) is my latest concealer I’ve tried and was totally hooked. I got it in the shade custard which is closer to my natural skin tone just around my face if you’re my skin coloring which is like an NC20-25. It also has become my go-to product. I think it’s a great high end product to have if you feel like a little spendy. The doe foot applicator is awesome and the formula so easy to blend. It looks really good on the under eye areas as well as around the face. Definitely check this one out!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

BECCA Champagne Glow on the Go Highlighter Set (C$24) where you get a duo of Shimmering Skin Perfector® Spotlight Wand in Champagne Pop & Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed in Champagne Pop, in a travel size format. It says on the website this is an exclusive shade created in collaboration with #Jaclyn Hill. I knwo Becca is well known for their highlighters and the formula is exceptional and beyond. So good! So beautiful! If you don’t love this, I really don’t know what to say. You got to try it for yourself!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

BENEFIT COSMETICS BROWVO! Conditioning Primer Nutrient Rich Eyebrow Primer Mini (C$16). This was sent to me by a pr company for review awhile ago and here I am talking about it again on my monthly favorites. Benefit comes out with many nice eye products that I’ve been liking. This is a great mid-range to drugstore option I think. The formula works very well to set the brows in place and the plastic brush wand is really cool. Can you see that? Cool right! It doesn’t have that glitter, shimmer or sheen effect that’s going to make your brow looks crispy or shine weird in a different light. If you like to splurge a little at Sephora, this is a good one.

So that does it for this post guys and I hope you enjoyed it and found this post helpful. Let me know what you guys have been liking for the month of October? Share in the comment below.

Thanks so much for stopping by and read. Hope to see you on my next blog.

Sharon xoxo

Holiday 2017: Sephora Favorites Superstars – Review, Photos & Swatches

Hey everybody! Thank you so much for stopping by for my first holiday review as it’s  the most exciting time like all the past years when all the new collections starts busting out. So I thought it would be fun to point out some of these products that I got in this Sephora Favorites box. There are a few new favorites at Sephora website but this one caught my eyes the most.

Sephora Favorites Superstars

The actual value for this box is $268 but it was retailed for only C$90 on Sephora’s website. It’s not the cheapest box out there but just look at all the high-end products that comes with it. If you’re a makeup lover or makeup collector like me, and the thought of buying a full size quantity product is an issue for you and you well think that you’ll never use that or it’s going to take me a long time to finish that up. I’d prefer to have that.

This set contains: All the high-end goodies:

Unboxing Sephora Favorites

  • 0.1 oz Benefit Hoola Bronzer
  • 0.19 oz Kat Von D Beauty Lock-It Setting Powder
  • 0.035 oz Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder
  • 0.5 oz Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
  • 1 oz Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

  • 0.003 oz Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown
  • Beautyblender® The Original beautyblender®
  • 0.01 oz Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer
  • 0.06 oz Nars Velvet Matte Lips Pencil in Cruella
  • 0.03 oz Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink
  • 0.13 oz Tarte™ lights, camera, lashes™ 4in-1 mascara in Black
  • 0.08 oz Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Sell Out
  • 0.08 oz Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch in 2 Luminious Ivory

I love Sephora Favorites because they picked the best products out and for me this is my chance to try out some high-end samplings before committing to the full size, if you know what I mean.

So again I’m going to try all these things on and reviewing them for you.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Hoola Matte Bronzer by Benefit is like a tried and true that every beauty gurus that I’ve known just has. All swear by it and I agree to their claims. The formula is nice and very smooth. It’s a universal shade that speaks to all skin types. No wonder it’s #1 best selling Prestige Bronzer in the US.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

It’s got that silicon feel that’s neither thick nor tacky. It’s just a great consistency and it went on so smoothly. This Photo Finish Foundation Primer by Smashbox is as good as it sounds and I’m excited to get it in a deluxe size. By the way, I did mentioned this in earlier post so you might want to check it out here.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Loose Powder

I’ve always wanted to try out more of the Make Up For Ever makeup and was thrilled to find it in this Sephora’s favorites. So thank you Sephora for including this in the favorites. I can’t wait to try this out. This is the Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder and this is basically a setting powder to mattify the foundation and also the shiny area of your face. I’m very very excited for this.

Kat Von D Beauty Setting Powder

A finishing powder that works on all skin tones, is selfie-friendly (no bounce-back!) and the ultimate power to mask pores. Its got to be Kat Von D Lock It Setting Powder in Translucent. Retail price on their website is $15 for 0.19 oz and it’s a good size for travelling. This could be your daily essential. The formula is finely milled and soft. It gives a lovely dewy finish look that my combination dry skin really appreciate. Did I mention that KVD’s brand is cruelty free? Thought you might want to know.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant

Concealing, sculpting, and brightening the skin made easy with Yves Saint Touche Eclat Radiant Touch in 2 Luminious Ivory. I haven’t tried anything from this brand so I’m really excited to try it out. I can tell you that the packaging is absolutely stunning. The gold color makes it look so luxury and classy. Very well done! I want to display it in my vanity so that I can look at it everything I do my makeup. This is a HIGHLIGHTER that conceals dark circles and highlights your best features, adding instant radiance to your face. It’s available in 10 radiant shades for all skin tones.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Gel Liner Crayon

I’ve been obsessed with Marc Jacobs’ makeup lately and I don’t think it’s gonna stop anytime soon.

Here’s the packaging and how cute is this. It comes in a twist tip format which saves you from sharpening. On their website, they claim the formula is exclusive to MARC JACOBS BEAUTY. So, I’m very excited and just can’t wait to try it.

Anastasia Beverly Hill Brow Wiz

I love Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Brow Wiz to bits. I mean seriously who doesn’t, right! The shade I got is in Medium Brown. It says on their website its long wearing and smudge proof and I can’t agree more with the claim. The soft spooley end works well by blending the product to a flawless finish. When people compliments you on your gorgeous brows, that’s true joy, you guys!

Tarte Light Camera Lashes Mascara

Let’s talk about mascara before we go to the lip products and it’s none other than the Tarte Light, Camera Lashes 4-In-1 Mascara. The formula is a very rich black and it holds the natural curl of my lashes really well. It’s making them look longer and thicker.

two coats mascara

Would you believe if I tell you that I’ve short and sparse eyelashes? Well not anymore with this cruelty free mascara. No smudging and no raccoon eyes except your lashes looking on point. I feel like this stuff might just be magic …

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

Swatches of the smooth, rich shade of NARS Velvety Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella. A dark red with cool blue undertones and a matte finish lipstick crayon that’s perfect for the holiday seasons.

nars color swatch

Look at that! Ooh I love the way it smells too. I think it smells like sweet candy, if I describe it correctly. I sucks at describing scents sometimes. But this scents is very delicious and uplifting. As far as the formula goes, it’s very pigmented and smooth. It glides on easily and comfortable to apply. I didn’t encounter any tugging on the lips. So ya, I don’t have anything bad to say about this lip pencil. It’s certainly something that I’ll go back to repurchase over and over again in full size. I love it!

Too Faced Melted Liquified Matte Lipstick

I absolutely adore the shade and the formula of this Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick by Too Faced. I’m loving the shade Sell Out which is described as Matte Soft Pinky Brown. It has great pigmentation with a lightweight feels that’s comfortable in the lips. That’s going to get along real well with me.

#LOTD Too Faced Melted Matte

The formula is thin (it reminds me of Colourpop Ultra Matte’s formula) with an impressive quick dry-down time. Try it yourself and see if you love it as much as I do. Definitely a winner in my book!

beautyblender Original

This is the Original version of a Beauty Blender. I look at this so lovingly. I never want to be without this blender. You know I’m adamant to use and bring it everywhere I go. It’s really a life changer for me in my beauty world. I’ve never looked back to use brushes to apply my foundation since I got this sponge. A life saver you can count on!

Urban Decay Setting Spray

If you’re looking for a vegan type setting spray, Urban Decay All Nighter is your answer.

My skin is dry especially at this time of the year and I’m pleased to say that this spray doesn’t leave my face feeling dry or tight at all. It actually helps hold my makeup so much longer than I expected. This stuff is really great and long wearing. Highly recommend!

Dr Andrew Weil for Origins

So here’s the Dr Andrew Weil Mega-Mushroom Skin relief Lotion by Origins. I’m liking the cute packaging. I love green and it’s the perfect me color right here. It smells very aromatic, herbal and divine. I especially this type of scents in my skincare products. It’s so relaxing and calming. I don’t have any acne right now (touch wood) but it’s great to have one ready whenever I need it.

Sephora samples

Here are the 3 samples I picked with my purchase. I got Tony Burch Bel Azur Parfum (is a fragrance for women. Newly launched in 2017), Philosophy Amazing Grace eau de toilette (is a floral perfume with top notes includes mandarin orange and bergamot) and lastly the GlamGlow Supermud mask that I did a post review on last week.

Bought this so that I can have all my favorites in one travel bag. The dream box! Has everything you need on a go from eye, face to lips.

So thank you guys for your time to read and let me know in the comment section what other holiday type of products do you want to see me reviewing. Holiday season is the time that I open up my wallet to its fullest and let the new collection begins.

I’ll see you again on my next blog. Until then bye!

Beauty Blogger Tag!

Hey everybody! Today I’m bringing you something different. Something I haven’t done for like ages. A TAG! I love tags as it’s a way to know more about the person. In this post I compiled questions from different beauty tags to create something of my own and I hope through this you guys would have the chance to get to know little more about me.

  1. What is your current favourite perfume? I’ve been obsessed with Gucci Guilty and Lancome La Vie et Belle eau de toilette of late. I like to wear my perfume according to my mood and events
  2. What is your favorite social media platform? I really enjoy posting Instagram photos and I did it on a daily basis. I love reading feedbacks from you guys. I find satisfaction from posting beautiful photos of my work. It makes me really really happy! instagram post
  3. What’s your advice to a beauty blogger who’s just starting out? Don’t force it! Be your true self and work on your passion. Always remind yourself why you started in the first place and set your goals. Make sure your blog is consistent and remember that content is KING!  beauty-bloggers
  4. How often do you wear makeup? I wear full face makeup pretty often, for meetings or events. But I like to go for natural a look as well.
  5. What is your favourite part of doing your makeup? My favorite part is playing with my eye makeup. I enjoy seeing the before and after result. It’s like seeing the transformation happening before my own eyes. best-beauty-bloggers-australia
  6. Matte or glossy lips? MATTE…MATTE
  7. What do you do first? Face or Eyes? Face. I’ve tried doing the eyes first but I still like doing face first for some reason.skincare

I’m very lucky to receive awesome products from amazing brands. Therefore these gives me the inspiration to start a better skincare regime for myself.

Current Favorites

Hey guys! I’m back today to do kind of current favorites post because I was hoping to make it into our monthly beauty series. Comment below if you like to read this type of post and so let’s get back to my current favorites.

Current Beauty Favorites

Today, I’m kind of doing mostly my current things. I really like all of these products so I thought I’ll talk about them. So, I’m going to talk about mostly makeup but I do have a few kind of prep skincare bits.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Starting off with SPF, I’ve been so obsessed with SPF this past summer and the two that I’ve been using the most so far and that I’ve been really liking are the Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face. This one has SPF 50 so it definitely give enough sunscreen protection from UVA and UVB when days I’m going to be outside more.

I’ve been liking this so I wanted to mention it because some people have been asking me about it. I do like how lightweight it feels and the best part is it’s not sticky nor greasy and it doesn’t leave any white residues on the skin. It sinks into skin very well and so easy to spread on the skin. I feel like Purescreen is true to it’s name.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The other thing that I’ve been diligently using is the Aveeno Positively Ageless Day with SPF 30. I’ve been loving this brand forever so I really love this one because I find that it sinks into the skin really well and the other thing I love about this is that it leaves my skin feels so nice and moisturized. It smells really good and I just can’t get bored over it. Love the SPF coverage and how hydrating it makes my skin. This product doesn’t leave my skin looking glowy or shinny.  I do notice there’s a certain radiant glow to the skin and if you’re not into that, then maybe you know that’s something to consider. I’ve combination to dry skin so it’s not a big deal either way. I like this so much more than any other regular drugstore day cream moisturizer.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Another skincare product that I want to mention is the Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate. They claim it’s their #1 serum for younger looking and radiant skin and I totally agree. I got mine in a deluxe sample format (8ml) but for a full size they comes in between 30ml to 75ml a bottle. I’ve been using for a while now and honestly I did noticed a significant improvement on my dull and dry skin. I literally used only a pearl size of product for both sizes of my face. I don’t need to use a lot of this by any means and it’s just part of my evening routine now. I just use a tiny little bit every single night.

Make Up For Ever Water Blend

Okay, so moving on to makeup products. The first thing is the Makeup Forever Water Blend Face and Body Foundation. I did a full review post on my blog a while ago and if you like to visit, I’ll leave the link here. I want to talk about this particular one because it has become my favorite mid-range liquid foundation which isn’t specifically for face but also the body. It was sent to me and I’ve absolutely liking it a lot. Even though I’ve many face products to test out, I always find my way back to this one. I’m so impressed with the formula and the coverage. It wears really nice and long lasting. I would say you would get a solid 8 hours out of it. If you’re dry or with combination skin you might really like this.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

You guys probably have heard all the hypes and raves about this Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara on YouTube so I do want to quickly talk about it. I don’t wear a lot of mascara if you know me or have been following me on my blog. I wear them occasionally or when I really want a little extra definition to the lashes.

This I felt like it gave a great separation of lashes and also making them really nice and full. I definitely recommend this to you guys that needs something that’s flake free and will stay on your lashes nice and long wearing throughout the day. I didn’t have any transfer or anything like that.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The next thing I want to talk about is the Dolly Wink Eyeliner. I’m a huge fan of liquid eyeliner in general and I’ve been loving this for the past few weeks and can see it becoming a staple make-up bag go-to. I just love their overall performance. It goes on very easily and it dries to a matte finish. So yeah, not much else to say about it. I really like it so check out Tokyu Hands or Dolly Wink website, if you’re into Japanese makeup products.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I’m bringing back again two of my old-time favorite lipsticks from Lancome and it’s their Color Design Sensational Effect Lipstick. I’ve been obsessed with nude and red lip color so these are just right up my street. Trendy Mauve is described as a cream caramel pink and Designer Bloom is a beautiful pink berry with a nice sheen to it. It goes on buttery smooth and comfortable on the lips. The colors are well pigmented and so lightweight. I always return to Lancome because it’s the only brand that truly works for me. It’s a beautiful color lipsticks that makes you feel POSH!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I’ve been wanting to try this for a while because I know tons of people were talking about how good it sets the makeup on. I’ve been loving this and happy that I’m really to have found something that you know is performing well for me. Thanks to Mist & Fix by Make Up For Ever!

I think that’s it for this current favorites and I hope you guys enjoyed it and I see you soon. Bye!

What have you been into lately? Share in the comment below. I’d love to know!

Beauty Starts with Laneige Brightening Kit

When it comes to Korean Skincare, Laneige is up on top of my favorite brands. Laneige’s first launched their “Everyday New Face” campaign in 1994. And only in the year 2014 to present day that they make their first entrance to U.S and Canada. Available in Sephora and major stores.

Laneige Brightening Kit

Let me introduce you to their Bright Renew Line  today. I got the Laneige Brightening Kit from Sephora while ago but just didn’t got the chance to do a post review. So today I’ve put together a post to tell a little bit more about some of my skincare favorites from the line in case you’re interested to try any out.

Laneige Renew Serum

First product I’m going to talk about in no particular order is the Laneige Bright Renew Original Serum.  The formula is of milky serum with a pump applicator to dispense product. This serum contains a rich antioxidants such as ginkgo bibola that helps the reverse signs of aging to your skin. It feels lightweight on my skin and it’s not greasy at all. I do love how it gives my skin that healthy glow look that’s hydrating and yet brightening.  Applaud goes to Laneige for keeping a high standard serum! If you’re looking for a serum that’s brightening and smells amazing, I highly recommend this.

Laneige Renew Brightening Cream

Moving on is the Laneige Bright Renew Original Cream. This deluxe size sample comes in a tube packaging while the full size is in a heavy glass jar with a spatula. The formula is soft and light. I would say the texture is like kind of gel-cream hybrid.

On application this product is sort of water upon application and dries to a lovely silky finish. It also gives a cooling sensation just like all other products from the same line. Let me tell you, I’m obsessed with the scents. As with everything with Laneige, the smell is delicious.

Laneige Sleeping Mask

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask is so lightweight and has that cooling effect that relaxes your skin. I love using a light mask as part of my evening routine and this product is a dream come true. The formula is a gel-type that provides intensive hydration, vitality, and brightening effect.

This stuff is so dreamy! I went through it so fast this summer that I’m already on my second jar. I like to use it on dry winter nights too. It’s non-greasy nor sticky and perfect for all skin types. If you’re someone who dreads putting heavy moisturizers, then this product is for you. There’s a reason why this is Laneige best-selling product. I love it and I know you’re going to love it too.

Laneige Multi-Cleanser

Last pit stop on our Beauty Starts … is the Laneige Multi Cleanser. I’m really impressed with this foaming cleanser. It smells so good and it lathe to a creamy foam with just a tiny bit. A little goes a long way with this product. It make my face really clean and a brightening effect after. As for the scents, I’m pleased to say that it doesn’t cause any breakout on me. One thing I noticed is that I feel this product could make my skin feel dryer and that’s about it. Since I’ve the Bright Renew Original Cream, I apply it all over my skin and I can feel the immediate effect of the products being absorb. Such hydration and nourishment that my skin needs.

I’ll leave you here to define your own beauty but as for me, I know mine starts with Laneige. How about you? Share it below.

YSL L'Homme L'Intense Eau de Parfum

Last but not least is this YSL L’Homme L’Intense Eau De Parfum which I claimed using my Sephora Reward Points with the purchase.

After I got past the gorgeousness of this hexagon shape like bottle – I gave this fragrance a whirl. If you’ve been following my blog you know that I love the scents of men Eau De Parfum on my man and well on myself too if I may. I really like mens fragrance a lot more over womens. I just love the fresh woody and light musky scents. Not ashamed to admit it but I know I’m weird.

I mentioned before and again today that perfume is considered something personal that reflects the character of an individual. Finding that perfect scent can be difficult but when someone finds the perfect perfume he tends to wear the same fragrance for years. It becomes part of the individual’s identity each and every day.

When I first wear it I don’t know what to expect but I wasn’t expecting this. This eau de parfum can be described as “An ambery woody notes bursting with character, featuring sensual and vibrant leather accords. The fragrance is infused with precious ingredients of orange blossom facet reinforced by profound, subtle cedar wood”. Oh how I love thee! I want to smell this on my man every single day moving forward. It’s really a masculine perfume one that’s sophisticated and expresses a more powerful character.

The small size and good value make good sense especially I love everything in this travel kit. I’m a fan of Laneige and it will continue to stay in my top favorites Korean brand.

What do you think of the Laneige product review? Have you tried it before or will you want to try it now? Share your comments below.

I hope this was helpful for you guys. Thank you so much for taking your time to read. I really appreciate it. Bye guys!

Introduction to Making Faces Collection- Kevyn Aucoin Beauty

Introduction of Making Faces Collection is a Sephora Exclusive that consists of Kevyn Aucoins Beauty 5 most iconic makeup products. It’s a travel kit that gives you a lot of bang for your buck considering this is a high end makeup brand. Something that surprises me is that not so many people have actually talked or heard about this brand so for those of you who haven’t then let me introduce you to the collection.

kevyn aucoin makeup

Let’s start with their face products. I got this travel gift set for $35 awhile ago from Sephora and I apologise for taking so long to show it to you guys. As many of you may  know, I spent a lot of my time testing out makeup products so it just happened that this kit was buried deep in my closet until I digged it out recently.

Here’s the sample size products: The Celestial Powder in Candlelight, The Creamy Glow in Bloodroses and The Matte Bronzing Veil in Desert Night. Note that all full size products that’s available at Sephora can be a high price point.

closed-up-kevyn-aucoin.jpg

These are sample size packaging so they’re really small as you can see. All three are packed in a sturdy black cardboard material which I really appreciate. It protects the product quite well.

ColorSwatches

The Matte Bronzing Veil in Desert Night has the most beautiful matte brown that’s highly pigmented. It goes on very nice, very smooth and so very pretty. There’s no chunks to it. I think this is very universal so it’s works for any skin tones. So stunning!

The Creamy Glow in Bloodroses is a sheer cream blush that deliver a boost of color and radiant to the cheeks. It claims the product is formulated with grapeseed oil and other natural emollients to nourish and moisturize. It buffs out very well and I’m digging it in. I love a pretty color creamy blush on my cheek but I love it even more on my lips actually. As much as I love nude lip, rocking some vibrant and darker shades is much more fun especially in the fall. Love the shade and the formula, it’s so fall like. They really kills it on this one.

The Celestial Powder in Candlelight is a warm golden candlelight toned highlighter. I’m a NC25 and it works well for me. It’s not in your face type of glow and neither was it too subtle which I personally love. The texture is smooth and nicely pigmented. I noticed is that it kick up some powder and a little chunky. It doesn’t bother me at all since I just tap the excess out before appying. Another product that I’m very pleased with from this brand.

kevyn aucoin essential mascara

Next is Kevyn Aucoin The Essential Mascara in Black. To be honest, I haven’t tried it yet so I won’t be able to give you a conclusive review of my opinion on this.

Mascara wand

But for now, here’s an up close view of the packaging and the wand/brush applicator. Its big brush can pick up a lot of product and easily put on lashes. The wand is slightly bent at the tip so that you can easily get product onto the inner lashes.

I heard some mixed reviews of this product so I’m really intrigued to test it out real soon for you guys. So don’t forget to stay tuned for the update once I’ve given it a fair test run.

Kevyn Aucoin Flesh tone lip pencil

I’ve been obsessed with lip liner lately and this warm color lip pencil in Bloodroses is just right up my alley! Is it coincident for it to have the same name as the Creamy Glow blush?

Tone lip pencil

Let me tell you this. This Flesh Tone Lip Pencil from Kevyn Aucoin is my jam right now. I’ve been using this everyday for the past one week by rotation with the L’Oreal Color Riche Matte lip liner that I’ve loving. It just lines so well, very smooth and the color is so pretty. The only pet peeve is that you’ve to sharpen it.

Lip pencil color swatch

I gave it a twirl and here’s what it looks like. Goes on very nice, soft and creamy. As you can tell it does look like blood roses!

Do you guys like to match your lipsticks to the season? I’d love to know what your favorite fall lipsticks are. Let me know in the comments.

Introduction to making faces - Kevyn Aucoin
Picture of what full size products would look like

If you’re just starting up makeup, I urge you to check out his inspiration book of Making Faces where he share his techniques and unique tricks of makeup application.

August Beauty Favorites!

Hey everybody! I’m back with an August Favorite.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I’m going to start with foundation this time around. I’m in love with this foundation even though it’s not my perfect color match which I’m going to explain and show you down below. But this Burberry Velvet Fluid Foundation is amazing. It’s so lightweight as if you’re not wearing anything at all. As many of you might have already know me, I’m a BB cream type of girl and this foundation has to be my favorite after Make Up Forever Water Blend Foundation.

Love the luxe packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump that twist to lock. This is targeted for combination and oily skin type person. It suppose to last for 12-14 hours wear.

I decided to start with one pump and with a damp beauty blender because that’s usually my favorite way to apply foundation or bb cream. Since I’ve combination skin, I like to wear it with a primer and moisturizer underneath the foundation for best result. The consistency is really light, liquidy and it smells really good. And right as I apply it I can see it cancelled out my redness really well. I used a total of 2 pumps on my whole face to get the coverage that I wanted. So far I was very pleased with the way it looks. After wearing it all day long I was pretty impressed by how it holds on to my skin without the need to touch up.

I think this is a wonderful foundation. It does dry quickly, but I use it with a damp beauty blender and it blends out amazingly. The formula allows you to layer up to full coverage without looking cakey or streaking.

The coverage is amazing, it’s so lightweight, and is perfect for my combination skin. It dries to a velvety matte finish that looks airbrushed. The finish is just so beautiful. I really really like it apart from the wrong shade!

Everything would be fine, if not for the color I  picked. The shade in Trench #202 has a pink undertone and too light for my NC25 skin tone. I believe it’s the 2nd lightest from their color range. I kick myself on the back when I realized my mistake. I should have gotten a #203 instead. You see I was overly excited when I saw this gem at Winners and everything just went blank after. Has this ever happened to anyone or is it just me?

Yes, it’s pricey and since the damage has been done, I found a way to fix my problem. I just mix it with darker foundation to get the right color match for my skin tone and I’m happy.

Overall, I do recommend it if you’ve very oily skin you’re going to love this but if you’re vice versa then this foundation is not for you. Don’t waste your money, there are other high end brands that perform just as awesome.

Next is the NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Jolie Poupee. This is a nice color purple combo duo by Nars. My first ever Nars eyeshadow and here’s my story.

I’ve been lusting for Nars products ever since I first saw Michelle Phan’s earliest YouTube videos where she used this brand. Yes it’s that long ago and I’m happy that it finally landed in this post.

The left is a matte lavender and on the right is a bright purple shimmer. Both of them works really well and look beautiful. It has a nice pigmentation and it blends really well.

The color in the pan is gorgeous and would be perfect for fall smokey purple looks. This is a beautiful color purple if you’re into this shade. A lovely color that screams fall or if you aren’t afraid of trying a bit of color out of your comfort zone then you’ll love this duo. You should definitely get this one.

Last but not least I got another eyeshadow that I’ve been loving this month and it’s the TIGI Cosmetics High Density Eyeshadow Singles in Chocolate. There’s only eight shades shadow available in this collection.

This is another amazing eyeshadow that’s true to its color with remarkable color payoff. A mineral based powder shadow that’s goes on smooth and highly pigmented.

TIGI Single Eyeshadow
Swatch on bare hand. NO primer

A matte shadow that keeps me reaching out every time I feel like wearing one shadow by it own. You can basically wear it wet or dry but I’m a creature of habit so I’ll go with dry application for that’s how I usually rolls.

My verdict – I wish they’ve more color options and easy to get my hands on. Otherwise, this is a great brand that’s gives you the most bang for your money.

NARS Smokey Purple Eyes combined with Chocolate by TIGI

I’m wearing the Lavender on my lids and the Purple for the crease. I then use the Chocolate shadow by TIGI for the outer corner of my eyes and on the bottom lid. Next, I apply flexitarian by Colourpop on my brow bone and the inner corner of my eyes. Complete it with Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner and Clinique Chubby Lash mascara. Makes brown eyes really pop. I always gets compliment on my eyes every time I wear this.

Have you tried any of these brand mentioned before? I’d love to hear what you think in the comment down below.
