Maybelline The 24K Nudes Palette – Swatches & Review

Hey guys! How’s it going? I was supposedly doing my window shopping but I was excited when I find the new reformulated and improved formula The 24K Nudes Eyeshadow Palette by Maybelline.

Let me introduced you to their new Spring 2017 palette which was launched a couple of months ago. You might’ve seen or heard of it on the internet but this palette is fairly new to me. I was instantly sucked into buying this palette seeing how these colors look gorgeous together.

I’ve very high hopes for this considering it’s pretty easy to find nicely pigmented shadows at the drugstore price point these days. So was it worth the hype? Let’s take a look!

I love the gold packaging and it retails for $14.99. A palette designed with beautiful matte and shimmery shades showing gold, bronze and copper tints.

I really like that in the back include suggestions of how we can combine the tones, that can make it easier for those who do not know much about makeup. This you can find in all of their Nudes palette collection.

And here’s the dual ended sponge applicator looks like. The sponge that comes with the palette is ideal for smoking out your eyeshadow. I usually don’t be bother to use the applicator provided. I prefer to use my own brush.

I really like the colors and how they all look inside of the palette. You get some mattes, shimmers and satin finishing from this palette. One thing I can tell you for sure is that they do feel more buttery then their other previous eyeshadow palettes.

These shadows are notably easy to blend and easy to blend is key. I’ve a color swatch to show you – look how nicely pigmented and silky soft these shadows are; and they don’t have a problem with wear time at all. The colors go on smoothly and aren’t patchy, I rarely got much fallout but just a little with the darker shades, and they blend easily without fading too quickly. I’m wearing it again today!

Top row from left to right

Shimmery Nude,  Matte Deep brown, Pearly White, Light Bronze, Matte Nude & Shimmery Gold

Look how pretty these shadows are on my bare arm.  You can see me did a swatch directly to my hand. No base or primer and they’re not wet. Can you see how buttery and silky smooth these shadows are? No powdery and dry feel on this palette except shade 5.

By the way, the furthest shade to the right is the only Gold out of the twelve shades. Texture is very smooth and soft. It’s the most beautiful gold ever!

Bottom row from left to right.

Satin White,  Shimmery Deep Purple, Shimmery Gold Green, Matte Black, Shimmery Brown Copper & Shimmery Black

The cause of the fallout in my opinion in shade 5 (top row) is that it’s on the flaky side and shades 9 and 12 have micro glitter particles that separate from the rest of the formula.

I find almost all of the shades have a buttery texture so that part of the claim was true. It’s definitely better than the previous Maybelline Nudes Palettes but is comparable to high end, not really.

The Maybelline 24K Nudes is the perfect palette for those of you who like an ‘eyeshadow quick fix’ where you dip your finger in an eyeshadow and swipe it all over your lid, just for that little something extra.

Overall, I’m feeling so-so about the new Maybelline 24k Nudes palette. While the formula is improved it’s not as great as I was hoping it would be so that was a bit of a letdown. But anyways, I’m going to keep working with this palette and see what I think after I’ve used it more.

I do think the palette is reasonably priced, although there are better performing options at this price point if you’re willing to sacrifice amount of product and color variety.  If you’re looking for a lower price point all together that still offers color variety, the Wet n Wild Au Naturel Palettes come to mind.

What do you think of the new Maybelline 24k Nudes palette? Do you think you’ll buy it? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by to read. If you did enjoy this post definitely follow my blog. I hope you come to check on my social media down below. In the meantime come and say hi! Until next time blog, bye!

Promo Monday: Love Contours All Palette by NYX [Review + Swatches]

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Happy New Year to everyone! Christmas has been so  amazing and I’ve really enjoyed the break, not to mention I got my hands on a few treats too.

My first treat is the palette by NYX which I picked up at my local drugstore (Pharmaprix or Shoppers Drug Mart). And it’s the NYX Cosmetics Love Contours All Palette. This palette retails for CAD$26.99 and it comes with fifteen products where nine been the eyeshadows. So this is a very good deal for the price.

Honestly, I’ve no idea that it’s going to be so versatile of a palette when I saw it, as I thought it was just an eyeshadow palette and no, this is the ultimate palette to travel with.

As you all know I’m obsessed with eyeshadow palette and what’s so neat about this palette is that it comes with highlighter and contour. I don’t remember owing this kind of combo in my collection but let me tell you that I’m delighted. Super excited! Can you tell!

They’re great for those with all skin types and truly look amazing on the skin! I’ve been using them everyday for the past week and into the the holiday season and I’m so happy with the results in photographs as well. I love the texture of this product.

When you opened up this palette, you’ll see a ginormous mirror. It’s stable and sleek which is great for storing or travelling.

I’m glad to say that all shades are nicely pigmented and are easy to blend, the contour shades are the most pigmented part of the palette, so I’ll be using this palette every day.

The low point is there’s no shade names on this palette which is a bumped. I always love when palette has shadow names on them. It might just my thing but thought you might want to know.

I’ve swatched everything for you guys below. These swatches are with one swipe  on my hand with my finger.

I was impressed to see so many varieties of shadows from this palette. Looking into this palette, you get 4 shimmery shadows and 5 mattes but the White shade ones look like a satin and not a complete matte. The shimmery shades are really pretty they’re pigmented and they’ve a  beautiful finish to them. My favorite is the pink shimmery one on the right.

As for the matte shadows NYX nailed it. They’re super pigmented but not necessarily in a bad way. They’re pigmented and easy to apply on the eyes. I’m loving it.

I really like the color selection, where you get the cream shade which is very necessary, a deep brown, a deep plum, black, and lilac which I think is very cool to have it here.

I find the color payoffs are amazing except with the taupe-y shade ones. But it’s a pretty shade don’t get me wrong.

So you got two very different highlight and contour shades in this palette.

The one on the right circle swatch is a Pearlized pink icy iridescent highlight and the matte warm brown contour which  I noticed a little too dark for my skin tone. I tried it on my crease and it was the best decision I’ve made. The formula is so pigmented with buttery feels on it.

Left circle swatch is this Super bronze highlight and Light Brown contour which is a cooler tone. I like this color contour better. It’s super blend-able and are easy to work with.

Bottom row (L-R): for Eyebrows, you got a taupe-y brown and a deep brown. I haven’t tried these yet since I’ve been reaching for the Essence Make Me Brow Gel Mascara lately. The texture is quite nice and smooth. Another thing I wanted to point out is that they’re completely matte.

Overall, I’m impressed.  I just can’t say enough good things about it. I really feel like NYX Cosmetics are trying to bring an affordable yet professional range to the drugstore shelves and I welcome that with open arms. I’m so thrilled I’ve my hands on this palette really. You got to try the color swatches the next time you’re at local Phamaprix.

I definitely see myself reaching out for this palette. The quality is there, NYX never lets me down. I’m always happy with their products.

As usual, I want to thank you all so much for having a read of my post. I’ve been so lucky to have had such a great response to all my posts this year, so again thank you guys.

Sharon xoxo

NOTD: ESSIE Good As Gold Nail Polish (Pic Heavy)

Nail products I hauled during the holiday at my local drugstore, Pharmaprix (or Shoppers Drug Mart). I was wearing this Good As Gold nail polish by Essie and the nail stickers by Essence the whole time and I really enjoy this color a lot.

Essence french glam and essence french manicure.

Good As Gold by Essie is a metallic gold with extremely fine shimmers that are only visible under bright lights. It totally looks like a metallic yellow-gold in the bottle, but I don’t notice any brown tones when painted on the nails

Essie Nail Polish formula makes me want to scream at times – the first coat applied beautifully, and the second coat was gorgeous.

Very nice consistency which isn’t too thick or runny. It applies well and opaque finish. One coat is nice but two coats are even better. The formula dries quite fast  if you ask me.

In the photo of my nails, I applied two coats to the rest of my nails, and I did a finishing touch with Essence french glam nail stickers with top coat after that.

I picked this design since it looks playful and feminine. For CAD$1.99 I’m glad I tried them. Would be going back to check out more of this nail stickers at Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drug Mart).

Have you have the days when you feel like doing your own manicure at the comfort of your home? I do and not ashamed to admit it that I can’t wait to try this french manicure tip guides I picked from Essence counter for  CAD$1.99

I was glad that my manicure holds up for at least 4-5 days. I’ll edit this post later letting you know how well it held up without chips.

This is definitely a nail polish I’ll be rocking all winter long. Told you this post is jammed packed with pictures. So glad you stop by and love to share more posts with all of you.

What’s on your nails? I love to hear your side of the story in the comment section.

Thank you very much for stopping by friends. See you on the next one.

Best Hits and Oh Hell NO! Elf Eyeshadow

I haven’t been doing a lot of monthly favorites and regrets for awhile and I won’t be doing it now. Instead, I’ll be doing weekly series of Best Hits and Oh Hell NO! Note that it will continue after Next year. Don’t forget to follow more exciting post coming up next year.

by source
by source

So, let’s start with a positive post today with the Best Hits!

by source
by source

You know that I’m an eyeshadow palette junkie, right? I mean, if you follow me on Facebook or if you have been following my blog, you already know that I’m completely smitten and drool over when it comes to palettes.

I love all makeup, but if I had to pick a favourite beauty item it would definitely be eyeshadow palettes. ELF Cosmetics has released a holiday gift set that is the mother-load of eyeshadow collections! I love that Elf’s jumping on the huge palette trend in the best possible way. So YAY!

In this ELF All About Nude contains 32 shadows palette, two eyeshadow brushes and an eye primer. The theme is called Play Beautifully! Limited EDITION!

I got a beautiful ALL ABOUT NUDE palette set for myself this Christmas for $CAD15.00. Yes, I love my eyeshadow, I adore makeup and obsessed with palettes. I’m super delighted, it feels like a dream to grab a limited edition palette.

From smokey colours to super wearable nudes this set has something for everyone. I’ve used and tried Elf products before and it’s my first time trying a huge eyeshadow palette. Honestly, I don’t know why I waited so long!

I find it’s conveniently packaged into one festive set.with the inside you’ll see all the 32 eyeshadows AMAZING COLORS.. This palette was for CAD$15.00 at our local grocer, MAXI. I was taken by double surprises, FIRST to pick this gorgeous palette and TWO it’s available locally NOW.

It’s not easy finding well pigmented good color selection  eyeshadows, especially for an affordable price. For $15.00 a set, I definitely think is a good deal because they’re so smooth and pigmented. But some colors are better than the others. Apart from that, they’re also cruelty-free.

elf color swatches

Look at these color swatches without eye primer nor eye base. The eyeshadows stay true to colors on my hand from pan. Also, color payoff is quite nice.

The formula is pigmented and smooth, which makes it easy to work on and to blend. I couldn’t find any reason not to love this all about nude. It has good color selection and I’m so glad I grabbed it.

First off, I love the packaging, curved tube with the beige band is very sleek, definitely something I’m happy to see from a eyelid primer! I have no issues holding it in my hand or applying. And the applicator is of doe shape. Nothing not to love about this primer.

The formula is soft and the formula applies very well. It’s definitely not tacky but feel creamy to touch.

Instruction at the back of the packaging asked that you leave the primer until it dries before applying the eyeshadows. I know the fact that with eye base, you want to apply shadows before the formula dries to lock the shadows in. There is no right or wrong way.

Next, I didn’t get only one eyeshadow brush but two. Elf has some good brushes to keep in my collection.

I’m so obsessed with this limited edition that ELF comes out with this Holiday season. I’m really speechLESS. Love, LOVE this set.

Limited edition products usually go out fast. If you see this on Elf website or at your local drugstore, Target, pick one for yourself and another for your best friend.

Final question is, do I recommend them? Highly. For me, this palette is absolute must-haves! You seriously have to try it for the price and quality you’d get. That’s it for today’s BEST Hits. I’ll be right back with more beauty posts… on the next one. Stay Tuned for more!

Don’t forget to head over to BABES IN BLOGLAND to read their Blogmas Day 21. Here are their links:

Sugar & Vices by Wet n Wild

In case you didn’t know or (some of you probably know already but I thought I would share it), fall was THE time for beauty companies to bring out their most important—and most gorgeous!—product launches of the year for the Holidays,

I’m a big fan Wet n Wild eyeshadows palettes, especially after my first love with their Coloricon 8-pan eyeshadow palette. Love, love them ❤

When I saw Wet n Wild at my local Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) for the first time, I was over the moon. I was gravitated by the Glittery colors and I couldn’t help but needing to put my finger to try these singles. Needless to say, I went home with the Single Shadow in 250B Sugar (White) and Glitter Single in 356B Vices (Red) for $1.99 each a few weeks ago.

Talk about exciting!

The Red Glitter Vices is ideal for fall and holiday season, especially on the face and body for a glam look. This formula is wet and if you like face glitter gel type for added shimmer or young teens. Some of you might like this face or body glitter but unfortunately, this product is a miss for me. I find them hard to remove once they’re on my face. So, this is a disappointment for me.

Next is the Sugar Shadow which has smooth texture with nicely pigmented. This shadow is of matte finish and I really like this on the brow bone highlight and inner corner. They’re incredibly easy to swipe on and blend out as much or as little as you like, and will not crease on lids, smear or fade throughout the day—hooray!

Now is the time to invest in some matte, satin shadows for the holiday seasons. But I’ll skip the face glitters for sure.

Have you checked out any of the Wet n Wild makeup holiday collections yet?

Lancome Free Gift With Purchase At SDM/Pharmaprix

Lancome at Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix Pincourt

Recently, I got this great opportunity to try out five products from Lancome at Shoppers Drug Mart (aka Pharmaprix PIncourt) for consideration. You guys know that I’m a huge fan of Lancome and my love for my Lancome Bienfait Day Cream and their eyeshadows. So, here is the chance for you to try out some of Lancome products as little as $36.00 and you get 7 pieces items shown in the pamphlet for free including the makeup bag.

Right off the bat, I just wanted to put it out there that I loved Lancome skin care products and their elegant packaging. I’ve tried several of Lancome beauty and skin care products and so far none had let me down. You know that I love trying out new makeup products from high end to drugstores but when it comes to skin care, I always reach for brands which I’m confident and trust.

This sample products would be yours if you spent $36.00 on any purchase of Lancome products. I’ve been wearing these skin care every night and I’m pleased to report that I’m impressed.

sharon beauty prime

Here is what you’d get with your purchase of any Lancome product. It’s legit.

Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Lifting and Firming Cream

First up is the Renergie Lift Multi-Action Cream by Lancome. Oh, I love this cream! Where to start? I got this sample in a net wt: 15 ml jar packaging. It comes in a lovely purple transparent  jar with a silver cap. It smells super amazing. Regular jar comes in 50ml for $120.00 CAD but since Shoppers Drug Mart has the “Your free Gift” special, if you spend $36.00 CAD of any Lancome products, you get a free gift bag which includes 7 pieces samples (valued for $138.00 CAD).

*Note that you can choose between Lancome Renergie Lift Multi-Action or Genifique Repair Cream and Three Types of Serum options. That’s fantastico!!!

I love the way it feels on my skin and I notice a difference from using it. It feels light and not greasy. Best skin product ever.

• Cheekbones appear lifted
• Forehead is smoothed
• Jawline and neck look redefined.
• Skin is protected against the sun’s UVA/UVB rays.

Génifique Repair Night Cream

The regular size jar comes in 50 ml for $115.00 CAD online or at Shoppers Drug Mart.

I love love the scents of this night cream. It’s soothing and light. The formula absorbs right into skin leaving skin feeling amazing. Definitely a winner in my book.

Targets the visible signs of fatigue to help RESTORE skin’s luminosity and youthful complexion while you sleep:

• Your skin will be intensely moisturised, smooth and appear more radiant
• Visible signs of aging and wrinkles will appear reduced by morning

This creme firms and lifts your skin. I wear it every night. My skin feels sooo good in the morning. Very firm and tight not to mention smooth. Definitely will continue wearing them.

Hypnose Star Mascara Volume Ultra-Glamourous

This Hypnose Star Mascara is in 01 Noir Midnight that comes with a net wt: 0.135 fl oz for $34.50 in store. Available at Pharmaprix Pincourt, La Baie Canada, Sephora and Lancome online.

*Press Sample Packaging

• Fuller, longer, thicker lashes
• Intensely rich coverage
• Curl-enhancing, volumizing, dramatic eye makeup

There is only one thing I want to say about this mascara. Love, love this! It has beautiful texture & does not clump. Very easy to apply and it leaves my lashes looking more volume since my lashes are small and this is the perfect mascara for me! One more thing to mention is that the formula smells amazing. It maybe a little pricey but you only get what you pay for! I highly recommend this!

Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector sample size

Regular size bottle of Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector comes in 1 fl oz and it costs $135.00 a bottle. Lancome claims that this is a skin-correcting serum used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pores and improve skin’s texture. As I’m my age climb one year at a time, it’s just a matter of time where wrinkles might simply pay me a visit and stay for good, lol. This serum is able to help correct my pores and skin texture for now. Recently I checked again, I was told that I have combination skin that’s leaning more to the drier side.

I love how soft this makes my skin feel. The smell is incredibly pleasant. Well, it isn’t cheap but I haven’t found anything that makes my skin feel as nice. It’s pricey but worth the sacrifice!

I’m convinced that this product will be a long-term product of mine to use! It really works and I’m so glad to have tried this product.

La Vie Est Belle

Amazing scents. Very light and it lingers on for a long duration of time. Beautiful scents of magnolia with hint of floral petals. Uhmmm…. delicious!!! Feeling uplifted freshness and this is definitely going straight to my Wishlist. You’ll get a sample L’eau de Toilette if you spend $36.00 on any Lancome products. Free gift bag of 7 pcs including a sample bottle of La Vie Est Belle.  Regular size 1.7 fl oz for $82.00 online only.

I will continue to use these wonderful products from Lancome and a big thanks to Pharmaprix Pincourt’s Manager Sylvie for this opportunity to review this awesome brand.

If you are going through your holiday bucket list this week, don’t forget to check some skin care products for your love ones or for yourself. Due to the holiday seasons, you get their special promotion of FREE bag with purchase which is an amazing deal.

I’ll be heading over to check out some skincare by Lancome. Have you tried or would you be considering trying out this brand? I love to hear your comments in the section comment below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read.

Quo Face Contour Palette

quo duo face contour palete

I got this at Shoppers Drug Mart and I quite like this product! I bought this contour palette the same time I purchased the other two Quo eyeshadow palettes which I had review here. The packaging is great, there is no fragrance, and it does not break me out.

Quo has launched two limited edition contour palettes and a contour brush. The palettes are priced at $18.00 and the brush is $16.00. And of course, Quo does go on sale so there is always a chance of getting it cheaper!

This is a limited edition and since it was on liquidation, I so had to get it. I found the light palette to be perfect, with both a matte highlight and cool contour shade.

The product is quite pigmented (bronzer and the highlighter) and it’s a powder formula and not a cream contour kit. It’s not as silky smooth as I would like but they still work very well.

However, after using it a few times, i’ve noticed its flaws. the highlight shade is barely pigmented, and does not show up on my light-medium skin tone. I really like the highlighter since it does show up on my on my light-medium skin tone but the bronzer is a bit lacking.

Well, the only negative thing I could say is the pigment which isn’t as rich as I would have liked. But that isn’t exactly a bad thing when we are talking about highlight. The colors are buildable and blendable and for $18.00 I think they are totally worth it.

It’s cheap and lovely so that is a bonus! This stuff lasts forever so it’s easier on the wallet.

So as I’ve mentioned above this is a limited edition and if you’re looking for a frugal contour run to your nearest Shoppers Drug Mart asap. You get 20x points on your purchase.

That’s it for now and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post. Until next time, stay beautiful!

What’s your favorite contour palette from high end to drugstore brands?

Thank you so much.

Sharon xoxo

Wednesday Epic Snag|Beauty & The Best With Quo

Quo is a Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive line of colour cosmetics and cosmetic accessories. Perhaps you’ve noticed Quo Cosmetics during your visit to one of Shoppers Drug Mart’s 1,200+ stores across Canada. The brand isn’t exactly new, having been a mainstay on Shoppers’ shelves exclusively for several years, but they’re catching the eye of the beauty mavens more and more thanks to their cute packaging innovations, on-trend colour stories, and affordable pricing.

If you’re like most girls and the first thing you gravitate toward is colour and packaging, then you’ll want to check out their eyeshadow palettes. There were three colors available at Shoppers Drug Mart only. All three are priced under $20.00 at Shoppers Drug Mart locations all across Canada. This palette is an ideal present pick that packs a lot of style into a small price tag of $16.00.

I’m a big fan of Quo eyeshadow palettes, a new obsession I recently acquired  – they really stand out in my collection.

Quo’s Summer 2015 Collection was on liquidation last week and if you guys have been reading my posts, you know that I love a great bargain and I love eyeshadow palettes. You can judge me I don’t care if it’s a summer collection, I love all these shades period.

Hence, this is my thoughts and opinion. Let’s get started since I have two beautiful products to talk about. I can’t promise if it’s going to be short but why take the chance, right! So, go get some popcorn or chips for it might be a long post 😛

Alrighty, first thing first. The moment I saw this cute packaging I so want it. I don’t really care if it’s a Summer Collection line since it’s the shades that drew me to get it. I first snagged Shades of Grey and when I scanned the price showing $5.00, I went back to pick another of the Color Me Eye Palette. Seriously, I had an epic mind blowing experience!

I love matte and shimmer eyeshadows – particularly around the holiday season – and I love cream eyeshadow. The tricky part is finding ones that will stay in place and not give you that awkward ridged stripy eye effect or fallout.

If you travel a fair bit, you’re going to love these mini travel friendly, Quo Eye Shadow Palettes in Color Me, Barely There and Shades of Grey.

They come packaged in a sturdy, watercolour design compact with full size mirror on the inside lid and 2 sponge brushes. Each palette features eight fairly pigmented, incredibly soft and creamy eye shadows within.

Give your a fresh or smoky eye makeup look with one of Quo’s eyeshadow palettes. A few quick swipes applied on the lids and crease does the work. With powder /cream shadows, I usually like to apply an eye base or eye primer all over the lid when I do a full face makeup. Apply your shadow and blend while the base is still wet. It works well on me for it locks the eyeshadow better. Shades of Grey is my new smoky palette to reach for now.

But on hand swatch, I skip the eye prime in order to show the actual colors you’ll get directly from the pan. These eyeshadows are true to its color.

It has the perfect array of matte, satin and shimmer shades in an assortment of barely there nudes, smoky greys and pale pink.

For the month of October, I must admit I was especially excited to have tried several new products. I’ve been trying all the products that I bought and so I technically have been digging deeper into my pocket to purchase more products 😛

But it was a relieved that some of the products were from liquidation and therefore this allows to support my lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong, I love buying high end products even on regular price.

Next palette I got is the Color Me Eyeshadow Palette. As you can see, the pigmentation is well average but I really like the shades on the furthest left. I expected better pigmentation from this bright color palette but don’t get me wrong, it’s still a nice shadow to pair with an eye primer.

I did experience a little fallout with some of the shimmery shades, but nothing I couldn’t work with. Each shade is easy to work with and blends out beautifully,

Quo is carried year-round, so be sure to pop by and see what they’ve currently got in store – if you’ve overlooked this brand in the past, don’t! They offer really beautiful colours at a great price point, and their accessibility simply can’t be beat. Check out their Holiday 2015 Collection in your store nearest to you. And if you stumbled upon these Summer 2015 Collection eyeshadow palettes for $5.00, I suggest you grab it.

I hope you enjoyed this long post, and as usual, please leave a comment below if you would like me to review anything. I can’t wait to start using my products now! (: Stay tuned for the next post of EOTD makeup tutorial, until next time STAY BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks for stopping by!

$2 Nail Polish Drugstore Haul

nail polishes

Happy haul day friends, I hope you’re all having a lovely warm weekend with your family and friends ❤ I decided to write a beauty post on my latest drugstore haul which are all about nail polishes. These are some of the products I picked from Shoppers Drug Mart.

Yes, a $2 nail polish which I couldn’t resist and you heard it right. For 2 BUCKS ONLY! Continue reading …

Rimmel 60 seconds Nail Polish in Lose Your Lingerie in pastel pink is a pretty color to wear for spring. True to its claim of 60 seconds dry with one coat. I like the packaging with the postage stamp  of Rita Ora on this bottle. The brush is short and the formula is easy to apply. The net wt: 0.2 oz and available in 6 different fast drying shades.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Taupe on Trend is a pretty color for everyday wear. I find that the texture is a little thin when I applied it on. It is uneven and need to apply a few times in order to get the perfect coverage. The finishing is quite opaque and if you love glossy nails then top coat will help. I have been wearing this for a week now on my toes and no chipping so far. Color Show arrives in 48 trend setting shades that pleases your nails.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Polish in Lemon Drop is a bright lemonade yellow color which I love to wear for spring and summer. This is such a fun color to wear and easy to apply. To get the maximum amazing results, I put 2-3 coats for a opaque appearance 😛 The brush applicator is short but get to do its job well. Available in 18 brilliant shades.

Revlon Nail Enamel in Radiant. This glittery color reminds me of the Cinderella beauty collection from Mac. This nail polish is blue tinted clear base with blue glitters, large green and silver hexagon shaped. Due to that this Radiant has clear base, it make this nail polish more versatile since you can layered in any layer you want. If you love the glittery finish, this Radiant glam will be something you will like. The texture is thick but manageable.

Are you a pastel nail polish lover? Let me know in the comment section below which is your favorite nail polish so that I can check them out. I enjoy picking up spring/summer nail polish especially when they’re on sale.

Thank you for stopping by.

Marcelle Monochromatic Eyeshadow Quad|Review

You know this is my first monochromatic eyeshadow which I picked up a couple of months ago and this is not a new release. It has been lying inside my drawer for quite sometime now. Anyways, long story short, I’m just excited to be doing a review on this Monochromatic Quad Eyeshadow by Marcelle with all of you. I picked this quad eyeshadow from Shoppers Drug Mart for $15.95 and the shade I picked is in Terracopper. Net wt: 0.16 oz.

This eyeshadow quad has four monochromatic shades and they’re super pigmented. The texture is creamy and soft. You’ll notice that in this pan there are three shimmery finish and a matte finish formula. The matte is very matte while the three shimmery shadows have an undercast shimmer.  The finishing touch looks simply gorgeous. I’m in love with this quad already as I was doing the color swatch ❤ ❤

The packaging is simple but it looks elegant. The downside is that it has no mirror but the shadow part lifts up and underneath you’ll find two mini sponge brushes.

I love the rich pigmentation of all these four shadows. I’m blown away by how amazing the texture and shades this quad provides. It’s silky soft and blending this shadow is as easy as ABC. All four shades have a different brownish hues and undertone which make this quad unique. You can find six other gorgeous shades to choose from. Have I also mentioned that this quad eyeshadow is paraben and gluten free. On top of that, this product is ophthalmologically tested. No primer was used when I did the color swatch. The colors are totally amazing.

neutral eye look

This monochromatic quad shadow has very versatile shades that allows you to create an infinite makeup look from subtle to dramatic. There is no fallout on this Marcelle quad shadow and it’s long wearing. The wow factor is there since neutral look is something anyone can wear everyday. The price is just right for an incredible quality product.

Overall, I’m very happy with this monochromatic eyeshadow quad and will definitely recommend it to family and friends. Will I repurchase? Of course I will once I’m over the moon and back 😀

What do you think of this Monochromatic Eyeshadow Quad?

My Hair Dilemma

I have been neglecting my hair or should I say that my hair was sort of undertreated. I love to pick up makeup products but when it comes to hair …  well, sad and shame to admit but I just keep it to the basic.  Don’t get me wrong, I love my hair and it stays natural and thick. But for me, keeping it basic as to washing my hair everyday and making sure that it’s clean and fresh is all I need for my hair.

I was in dilemma as to what I should do with my hair. Should I put more effort into grooming or just keep it as natural as possible. But then after much debating, I thought it’s time for me to show more love for my hair this time. Anyways, long story short, I was at a drugstore (Shoppers’ Drug Mart) the other day and saw some of their products were on Special. I just pick a few items in this category.  They’re less than $3.50 each on special price.

AXE White Label Forest 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner (net wt: 355 ml)

Pantene Everlasting Ends 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner (net wt: 35 ml)

Dial  Day Moisturizing Lotion in Greek Yogurt (net wt: 621 ml)

I love most of all AXE hair products but unfortunately their catered more for men though. So, I still love the smell of this FOREST scents and got this one in particular for my husband. The packaging is clean and sleek which I like. This AXE impeccably clean and ready to style 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner smells amaa…zing. It smells forestry and don’t be shock with the green formula. It smells so good and I know my husband will be liking it. I just can’t wait for him to try it. It claims to make your hair feeling “refreshing, cool feeling of Axe Forest”. So, here is a recommendation that you can get for your other half. Available at any drugstores and at Amazon online.

Pantene is one of my go to shampoo + conditioner back like a decade ago. So, it has been a staple shampoo in my household except there are times where trying new brands can be quite scary. So, in order to take my first step to treating my hair better. I decided to pick this Pantene 2 in 1 Everlasting Ends which it claims to help prevent split ends by fortifying the tips.

I haven’t had split ends for like ages. I have thick black hair and I remembered my experience when I had my split ends – it usually happen when my hair are long or dyeing my hair frequently. Split ends can really drive one nuts. Detest split-ends.

So, since I taken a vow to give more love to my hair from this time forward, I’m going to start using this Pantene shampoo and conditioner instead of regular formula. I’m planning to dye my hair soon and so I’ll start with this prevention steps first 🙂

I can’t wait to review and so I washed my hair last night with Pantene. My hair does feel a little heavier after rinsing but it’s not oily per say. I can feel the different. My hair smells fresh and silky smooth. It gives a pretty nice volume when my hair dries up. I’m going to continue using this Pantene and will share my experience at my empties.

Last product is this Dial 7 Days Moisturizing Lotion with Yogurt Protein and Honey Extract. It claims to deeply nourishes and moisturizers your skin. It’s fast absorbing and is non-greasy. I tried it last night and this morning on my hands and body. Amazing feeling! True to its claim the lotion does absorb very fast and leaving skin feeling soft and light. It smells wonderful too. In case you want to know more, this moisturizing lotion is dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic. It won’t clog pores either. So, hurray for my newly found moisturizer lotion which cost $2.49 when it was on sale. It’s worth to check this out.

So, there you have it, my short adventure to the drugstore and bringing home some great products to try. The price tag will not leave your purse feeling very light, and to be honest, it is so worth it.

I recommend you to head over to your drugstores and grab these if you find them on sale. It’s a good bargain and you don’t want to miss out on this.

Which drugstore hair product brand is your favorite? Love to hear your comments.

Thanks for stopping by.
