Colourpop Box Unboxing 2

Hi guys, in this post I’m going to do a box unboxing. I received this box a week after Mother’s Day. Unfortunately, it didn’t arrived on time but it’s better late than never.

Here is the video unboxing of Colourpop’s box series #2.

I didn’t open the box because I wanted to share the excitement with you guys. You will see the original state of the box and how it looks like in this video.

It comes in a white cardboard box and the print on the side says “Made In LA”.  And it’s opened up a nice flower design with the Colourpop name on it. There’s a insert Mother’s Day greeting card for me which is so lovely. My hubby and son knows that I love makeup so this was a great surprise.

pressed shadows

The first 3 products are the Colourpop Pressed Shadows. I got it in the shade Outta Luck, Top Notch and last one is Let Me Explain. These are the eyeshadows that drew me the most. I don’t remember having any of these pressed shadows from Colourpop before and so I’m very excited to try them out.

Next, is the Mini Ultra Satin Lip in the shade London Fog (a cool-toned blue red) and Dopey (a mid-toned dusty mauve). The full size Ultra Satin Lips retail for USD$6.00 each (the same as their Ultra Matte Lips).

This is a new alternative to the Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick. I love their ultra matte and this is another reason why I like this satin lipstick. Liquid lipsticks are one of my favorite beauty products of all time. In general, I love their intensity, their precision, and their long wear.

Some liquids gives bulletproof wear, meaning it can dry out your lips but not these. The big difference between Ultra Matte and Ultra Satin is that Ultra Satin doesn’t dry down to a completely matte finish. It doesn’t feel heavy, sticky, or even tacky, but you know they’re there. These are extremely pigmented and sets to a comfortable satin finish. I really like the shades of these two liquid lipsticks.

This was the best Mother’s Day gift bag that was gifted to me. Shout out to my hubby and son for choosing this awesome gift. I love everything in it. The swag bag is super cute!

Inside the Mother’s Day swag bag (limited edition) you got a Double Play Pressed Powder Blush & Highlighter, 2 Blotted Lip Lipsticks and an Eye liner. It was a super deal since they only paid $25 for all 4 items.

Which one do you like?

It’s revolutionary! Say whaaat! That’s right! Colourpop created a new formula based off of their super shock technology that’s developed specifically for this face palette that will not dry out!

Double Play Pressed Powder Blush Face Duo is retailed for $16 on their website. The shade on the left is Getting Handsy which is described as a matte blush with warm nude undertone while the Padded Down is a pearlized highlighter in warm champagne undertone.

I’m super excited to give this a test run. I’ve heard some positive things about it so I’m curious to try it out myself. You guys know the drill – an upcoming post review with color swatch coming up soon.

Next thing I got is their new range of lip products is the Blotted Lip Lipstick. I got the shade Sucker is a soft coral and Drip is described as a warm rosey mauve color lip.

As I did the color swatches, I feel that Colourpop Blottled Lip Lipsticks have the most unique texture I’ve ever come across – it combines the firmness of a wax crayon with the silky-smoothness of silicone. It has the cushiony softness that’s comfy to wear on lips. There’s no fragrant or scents at all.

One thing I noticed is that if you want a medium coverage, you need to swipe at least 2- 3x to get the opacity. I wear Drip today for lunch at Bar B Barn (I had BBQ chicken and fries) and I did a quick touch up before heading to Sephora. It was a NO fuss touch up! I’m currently loving it.

The formula is my absolute favorite from Colourpop so far. If you’re like me and prefer minimal, natural, no-fuss makeup looks, I would definitely recommend picking up a few of these. Plus at $5 each, you can’t beat it!)

Last but not least, is the Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in the color Brew -Haha and is described as a True black brown in a matte finish. I really like the color but the pencil keeps breaking on me. I’m not sure if I got a bad one because the first I did the color swatch it broke, and then when I tried to use it again today, it kept breaking. I like the pencil but this one failed me. I don’t recommend this pencil liner to anyone until an improvement is made to the formula.

Don’t forget to check on their website for their new Limited Edition Birthday Bag Kit. It’s their 3rd year Anniversary, you guys! This is not a partnership or sponsor post whatsoever, I’m just sharing some love on the special deals.

Just a quick reminder that Colourpop hold the PETA badge of honour Beauty Without Bunnies.  This company is cruelty-free! It does NOT test on animals.

Have you tried any of Colourpop makeup products yet? What’s your favorite? Tell me everything down below!

Ipsy July Glam Bag – Unbagged

Oh my gosh! Last weekend was freaking hot and I was so happy when it finally rained. It was like 32C and I can practically hear the plants and trees screaming for joy when the first drop of rain drops! Guess what, I’m a plant Whisperer! I can hear them. Well, it wasn’t the most beautiful Sunday but hey I’ll take it any time!

So, Wednesday finally arrive  and I receive my monthly Ipsy Glam Bag in my mail box. I’m excited to see the actual products since now a days, with the sneak peak and spoiler, let’s just say it wasn’t much of a surprise anymore. I wanted to point this out to you. But, let’s just pretend you didn’t hear my babbling and just focus on the actual unbagging.

As usual there are 5 sample products in the Ipsy Glam Bag. For those of you who just join and follow my post you’ll see my monthly unbagging and reviews that follow.

Anyways, let’s cut to the chase and jump right in.

I got a City Color HD Loose Powder with net wt: 4.0g. Hold on to your chairs, animal lovers – this product is cruelty free. So, yay for that!

It sets your foundation to a smooth and matte finish. This powder contains 100% Silica Powder. Regular price $5.99 for 7.0g.

I’m not a huge fan of loose powder since I’m clumsy at times and I dislike powder floating everywhere whenever I used them. It says on their website that it’s a translucent shade and I’ll report back in my review once I’ve tried it. I’m curious to test the performance if it actually sets everything or helps blur imperfections as claimed by City Color.

Another cruelty free product to cheer for is this Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Eyeliner and Shadow in Brown. There are 4 shades available and retail for $16.00.

Honestly, this is my first time hearing this cute name brand and all the products are so adorable. You can check on their other paraben and cruelty free products if you’re cruelty free makeup enthusiasts. I’ll be talking more about this product in my next post.

Next in the bag is this Coolway Beachy Salt Spray with net wt: 15ml. I’ve received a Coolway hair product before and this time I got this Salt Spray formulated from the dead sea salt. |I don’t know what else to say, except Wow!

It says here that it’s perfect for creating beachy waves and natural styles, for a non-sticky, matte finished look. It has a natural scents of salt when I sprayed it on my hair but anyways I’ll continue using it until I emptied it. My hair doesn’t feel sticky whatsoever and it feels nice. Regular price $12.95 for 3.3 oz on their website.

Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser with net wt: 25ml and it’s available in regular size of 200ml. It’s good for oily and blemish-prone skin type. And since I’ve dry skin type, I’ll not be using it 😦 but I’ll give it to my daughter to try instead. A  quick note, I love the smell of this fresh cleanser gel, it’s so freaking amazing. I’m curious, so I tried it to wash my hands with and it’s soapy enough with just very little gel.

bombshell lip balm

Last but not least is the be a … bombshell Lip Balm in French Kiss. Value for $14.00 online with 6 color options.

This is a Light Creamy Pink with a full coverage finish. There is no apparent smell on this lip balm and it feels very creamy on lips. It’s not sticky but you can feel that you’re wearing a lip balm. The light pink color is so faint that you wouldn’t see any color appearance. It’ll leave your lips hydrated all day. Well, I’ll continue wearing it and will report back if I change my mind but as of now I’m liking it.

This month’s Ipsy Bag comes in a pretty design of waves and the texture of this bag feels like cloth material. I like it!

Overall, I really like my July’s Glam Bag unbagging and share what’s inside my bag.
