Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Color Correction |Review & Swatches

I got the Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Corrector for Dark circles in the shade Peach from Walmart ever since I first heard about it from beauty youtubers and I’ve been curious to try this out. I’ve to admit that I was completely drawn in by the cute and beautiful cover as soon as I saw it on the Wet n Wild shelves. There are several shades from this range and I think they also have green, yellow and a lavender.

The advantage of each of the four color correcting shade is as follows:

  • Green neutralizes redness;
  • Yellow neutralizes dullness;
  • Peach neutralizes dark circles; and
  • Purple neutralizes sallowness

At the back of the packaging, it says to be featherweight, ultra blendable and super convenient.

I picked up the peach one because I thought this realistically is the one that I might end up using the most. This seems to me practically as a cushion concealer than a color corrector. There is coverage in this product and when you applied this to the skin, it gives you more opacity and also it blends away quite nicely on me.

You twist off the cap and then there’s a little sponge here. A secondary lid that comes out but it’s not connected to the actual container of product which I’m not a fan of just because I find it to be a bit of a hassle and messy. Once I opened the lid, I need to carefully find a place to put it while I use the product. So, not very convenient.

This cushion corrector feels like it’s extremely juicy with product. It’s socked with a generous amount of products in it.

There’s no shimmer in this stuff. You’ll see it’s just a straight up color! The formula is really lightweight and it sets to a sheer to medium coverage but you get a lot of product from the container without much effort. I just dab my finger gently on the cushion and I got a good amount out.

I like this shade because it’s much lighter and brightening for my tone of skin. For this, I use my concealer brush but you can use the sponge provided to dab it into it and just pat on my under eye area because there’s where it most needed. It’s amazing how much coverage this had but not so great as to cover dark circles if that makes sense. I don’t think this peach corrector is ultimate full coverage, but a medium coverage.

If you’ve a litle discoloration then this might be what you need but some might need more or if you’ve major dark under eye area then this might not work so well on you. Yes, I definitely appreciate the brightness out of this product but for a real correction of a certain spot, I think there’s a few great drugstore products that works even better.

Let me know if you’ve try any of them in the comment section? I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you so much for stopping by and don’t forget to stop by my Instagram post for more photo uploads.

Wet n Wild Mega Glo Highlighter Powder|First Impression

I was at the drugstore yesterday and I picked up this new highlighter which I’m really excited to share my first impression. I’ve always looking for affordable makeup products that actually work. So that’s why this really appealed to me. This brand is a familiar friend and it’s the most raved Wet n Wild Mega Glo Highlighter Powder by so many beauty bloggers and youtubers in the beauty world. I was really curious and have always wanted to try out new drugstore products.

blossom glowI haven’t open it yet just so that I could show it to you guys a bit of a first impression here on my blog.

First of all let’s start with the packaging. It comes in a simple Wet n Wild plastic compact packaging and it’s huge. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use on this.

Cruelty free

There’s like a flower petal stamped onto it which I find really cute and the shade I got is in Blossom Glow. It’s a new shade brought to you by Wet n Wild. The new shades are the Royal Calyx (lavender), Botanic Dream (pink), Blossom Glow (pale pink champagne), and Golden Flower Crown (yellow-gold) that currently joined the lineup of Precious Petals (peach) and Crown Of My Canopy (copper). Even better, each one is retails for CAD$6.99 which is so inexpensive for a drugstore brand and they’re cruelty free.

If you’re curious to know what ingredient is in this product, I thought I might as well give you a close up look. So there you have it, I hope it helps.

Swatch #Megaglo

I’m going to do a swatch here for you guys. OMG! It’s so buttery and so soft. Blossom Glow is so pretty. It’s like a pale pink champagne color. I’m obsessed. This shade is totally something I’d wear on a daily basis. It’s pigmented and yet blend so well. I’m pretty impressed and loving the formula already. When you swirl it around with your fingers, it just feels like butter and so soft on the pan.  I love it and have high hopes on it. So I’m excited that it work.

Here’s a close-up of the shade Blossom Glow.

It actually looks like a glow rather than chunks of glitters. It comes out on my skin tone as an irridescent pink. It’s so pretty, my highlight is popping girls! I’m obsessed!

Overall, here’s what I’ve to say about this product. I love the glow it gives to the skin. This is an amazing highlighter especially for the price. I highly recommend this to my friends!

Let me know if there’s any new products that I missed. I was on the hunt for like brand new launches for spring.

NOTD- Dual Dots

Hey everyone! Hope you’re having a good weekend so far… I can’t believe we’re already into July summer.

So, this is what I came up with! It’s the first time I’ve done something other than just a solid color. Don’t judge me, alright! I’m NOT a nail art expert by any means! As if painting an intricate design with my left hand isn’t hard enough… what happens when the masterpiece chips? wahh! Anyway, I stick to basic stuff.

I got a great a Wet n Wild Wildshine in Black Creme from Walmart not too long ago and The Face Shop Basic Original Nail Polish in WH005 over the weekend you probably would have seen me posted it on my Instagram, by the time you read this post, it would be a few weekend back.

Believe me when I told you that I’ve always wanted to pick up a Black nail polish and I finally pick this one up.

First I did three coats of the Face Shop in WH005. I like the formula for it dried very quickly. Then I used the Wet n Wild in Black Creme for the dots. I tried these with a toothpick for the smaller dots and the back end of an eyeshadow brush for the larger and it works nicely.

I find the Face Shop formula is very sheer. So, you need to layer up several coats to get to medium finishing. For this look I was using 3 coats to get a decent opaque. It’s lasted for 3-4 days without chipping. Note that – I didn’t wear base and top coat at all.

All in all, I’m quite happy with the results of this NOTD. What do you think? Not too bad, right!

Do you get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest? Which one would you choose to paint your nails? The tricky or simple part? I love to hear your comments below.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’ll see you again on the next one! Bye!
