Beauty Haul – Combo Mix Makeup

Happy Friday friends!

Finally, I got some of the makeup for this week’s beauty haul that I have been meaning to talk about. I got them from different drugstores and at Target. So, this is going to be an exciting haul since as you can see they’re sort of a mixed an match haul. Let’s see what I hauled in the bag 🙂

beauty haul beauty haul combo

elf HD Blush in Diva  from Target for $8.00 (net wt: 0.34 fl oz).

Maybelline Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara in Black (net wt: 0.29 oz)

The Body Shop Concealer Pencil in 04 for $12.00 (net wt: 0.13 oz)

Nivea Pure & Natural in Milk & Honey (net wt: 0.17 oz)

Physician Formula Happy Booster in Bronze/Natural (net wt: 0.38 oz)

Sax Elegant Makeup Book in Fantaisie de printemps for $7.99

elf hd blush

I picked this elf HD Blush in Diva because it has such a lovely and vibrant color. I tried it on my hand before picking it up and the pigmentation is remarkable. It might be a little too pinkish for me but I have to try it anyway. I just love the fact that with just a tiny squish of this formula, is enough to cover both my cheeks. There are 5 beautiful shades available to choose from.

So, a little goes a looong way. Besides, the price is reasonable and the quality is good. I like this bottle packaging that comes with a pump. The downside of this elf blush is that is has a heavy color stains. I feel that it’s impossible to blend well especially when it started to dries up. You will like it if you have been using liquid blushes before.

eyepalette sax

Sax Eyeshadow Book is another item which I picked up at  my local drugstore. Sax is an Australia cosmetic brand. I put a link here SAX. I just loved the packaging and bought it for that reason. There are 12 color shadows and all having shimmery finish. Average pigment formula and soft in texture. It consists of 2 pretty blushes which has nice dewy coverage. I paid $7.99 for this book.

maybelline masara big eyes

The next is Maybelline Big Eyes waterproof mascara. Well, I’m not a big fan of mascara because it gets messy on me but when I do, I love to wear pretty mascara that can elevate my lashes more. I picked this because of the duo ended brush. One for the upper lashes and the other end for the bottom lash. I read some good reviews on this product and so I wanted to try it.

the body shop concealer

The body Shop Concealer Pencil is something that I have been longing to get. Since I have dark circle under my eyes, this is like my most wanted makeup ever. It masked blemishes, uneven skin tone and redness. It has 5 color shades to select. Definitely a good buy for me. Anyways, I will try it and share  my 2 cents in my next post.

nivea lip balm (2)

Okay, this Nivea lip balm is more of a random picked since it was on sale. I have used Nivea products before but never on lip balms. So, I don’t mind trying it out and see if I like it. And since I have too many lip balms already, I’ll give it to my husband to use. It has these pure and natural formula that I’m sure my husband will love.

physician formula blush

Last but not least, is the Physician Formula Happy Booster. It serves as a bronzer and blush. Again, love the packaging. It’s light and has a mirror on the second tier compartment that comes together with a brush. Will definitely try it and review coming soon!

So, there you have it. A combo mixed of all the beauty haul that I have purchased and hope you like it.

When was the last time you bought a random drugstore makeup? Please leave comment below. I love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading.

Cake Beauty Sweehearts Luscious ~Lip Butter Balm

Hey guys! I have been trying out different lip gloss and lip balms lately. I did mentioned in my previous blog that I will try this lip butter balm by Cake Beauty. This is a limited edition lip balm in Sweethearts Kiss me, I’m sweet! When I think of cake and sweethearts candies, well I can’t help but think of Valentine. Oops,!!! I’m just getting ahead of myself.

cake lipbutter balm
So, I obviously have to try this sweehearts lip balm out. Not to mention this adorable packaging that is ohso girlie and pretty! This comes in a net wt. 12 ml tube. The price tag for this Sweethearts lip butter balm is $14.00 online at Shop.ca
cake lip balm
The formula is quite thick but it glides like a dream. It goes on clean and feels deliciously rich. I like the soft and silky texture on my lips.  It has this sheer and luscious finish that moisturizes and protects lips leaving them feeling dewy and kissable. This kissable lip balm has a faint sweet vanilla scents that’s not too overwhelming. I can wear it anytime of the day or when I feel like giving a little love!
cake lip smacker
It leaves lips feeling moisturized and leaves a soft shine on the lips. To my surprised, this lip balm doesn’t feel sticky or waxy at all eventhough I find it to be a little bit thick.
lip smack
I keep my sweethearts luscious lip butter balm with me in my purse for a sweet moisturizing treat anytime.

I adore this Cake Beauty lip balm but in my opinion the price for a tube of it was overly priced. The quality is there but I’m just a little hesitant to repurchase once I’ve finished with this tube simply because of the price. Cake Beauty has a line for not only lip butter balm but also in hair and body mist.

How perfect is it Cake Beauty’s Sweethearts line? Would you get it anytime soon?

Thank you for stopping by.

Top 3 Tuesday Favorite High-end Lip gloss

Hello friends!

It’s November already? Oh…wow! Time do flies when I’m busy writing my daily blog! As usual, since it’s Tuesday, I better get on with my Top 3 favorites on high end lip gloss. This week I’ll be doing only Top 3 Tuesday fave instead of Top 5 on the high end makeup.

These are my favorite high end lip gloss which I love and has been using. I can foresee myself wearing them more often now as the weather draws colder and throughout the holiday seasons!

top 3 favorite lip gloss

Top -Bottom :Too Faced Glamour Gloss in First Time ($19.00)/Smashbox Santigold in Hot Lava($12.00 on special)/Starlooks Lip Gloss in Guilty Pleasure (regular size pack $12.00)

color swatches

Oh my gosh! Look at these color swatches. They are simply gorgeous. I picked these because of the smooth and easy to apply formula each of these lip gloss provides. It gives a lovely glossy finish which was not gloppy. I did my reviews before on blogs some several weeks ago. The price for the high end lip gloss are a little bit more expensive than the drugstore brands but once in a while I love to indulge myself with a special treat. I know that I will be wearing them often and it won’t go to waste. For me, that’s great value. Overall, all my top 3 favorites lip gloss which I have selected has best value for great quality products.

I would recommend that you try any one of the lip gloss above and let me know how it fairs for you? I like to hear what you think?

In this image I put 3 of the above lip gloss on. Can you spot which color shade I put and where?

Thanks for participating and stopping by.

elf Mineral Face Primer ~ First Impression

Hey guys! I’ve got this Elf mineral face primer for quite sometime now and I haven’t really got the chance to talk about it. It was stacked under with my other makeup stuff which I have totally forgotten about it. Good news is that I found it while clearing my makeup bag. So, I tried it yesterday and wow… it’ unbelievably impressive.

elf face primer

I found the receipt where I got it. I picked it up from Target for $8.00 (net wt: 0.49 oz) in Clear. There were 3 other colors available to pick with each having it’s own different functions. For example the light purple/mauve will cancel out the sallow tones for studio perfect look while subtle pink can brighten a dull complexion.

I love how smooth and airy this face primer is. It feels silicone-y when applied which is a nice feeling. Let’s not confuse the word “silicone” and “silicon” though. Face primer is formulated to smooth uneven skin texture. It also helps to minimizes the appearance of pores.

This ELF face primer came in a frosted translucent glass bottle packaging. I really like the sleek look of the packaging. On top of that, it comes with a pump applicator which I think is brilliant

elf mineral primer

I just need to pump several times on the component for the primer liquid to come out. The silky soft texture is amazing when I applied it on. The upside of this primer is that it does the job well for the price I paid for. Managed to gives a silky smooth and evenly long lasting satin finish before I apply my foundation.

elf primer

This is my first time using a mineral face primer but so far I’m liking it. I don’t think I will wear it for everyday makeup since I like to have my makeup done in 5-10 minutes. But I will definitely wear them when there is a special occasion.

So, I hope you like my first impression and catch up with you guys later.

What other face primer have you use, which I am missing out? Do tell in comment below.

As always, thank you for reading

Uh-Oh Roll down the ___ by OPI

Hey Lovelies!

Hope you’ve had a good Halloween! Today I wanted to show you two of the OPI nail lacquer polish which I had posted in my beauty haul last friday.
opi nails
OPI Nail Lacquer( Nagellack Collection) NL 908 in Front Lawn/ NL T34 in Uh-Oh -Roll Down the window (net wt: 15 ml)
opi closed up opi uh-oh brush
The NL T34 has a more liquidy formula. The formula is a little bit runny but good to apply if I don’t overload the brush. The first coat is too light and uneven and streaky. I do like this dark shade nail color especially for this season. It has a glossy finish. I did mine in 2 coats but without the top coat since it’s already glossy and it took a longer time to dry up.
opi front lawn (2)  opi front lawn brush
Out of these two OPI nail lacquer polish, I prefer this Front Lawn bright shade more somehow. Love this fun and punchy bright color. It’s thicker in consistency and it dries up quite fast. This shade makes my hands look paler and it’s more mood uplifting than the darker shade.
opi nail lacquer uh-oh opin nail lacquer

I wore both shades for Halloween this year. I was in a rush and therefore I applied them without putting any top coat. Both color shades have chipped after a 3 days of wear. I definitely needed a top coat to protect the polish. I was hoping that it will last for more than a week but was a little bit disappointed that it didn’t. This is just my opinion and I’m sure it does work for some of you. I will be searching for other of the OPI collections which might eventually works for me 😀

What is your favorite color nail polish for autumn?

So, as always thank you for stopping by.

LORAC PRO Palette Review & Swatches

Yoo!Hooo!!! My wish for a Lorac Pro Palette eyeshadow comes through. I received a package in my mail today and I’m super excited to share my thoughts on. It’s on Lorac‘s online website and it’s selling for $42.00 with net wt: 0.32 oz.

Lorac palette packaging lorac pro

This palette also comes with a Mini Behind the Scene Eye Primer. There are 16 eyeshadow colors in the palette ranging from light to darkest shades.

lorac pro and eye primer lorac eye primerswatch eye primer color swatches lorac

I did a swatch for the eye primer as well as the color swatches for the eyeshadows. The eye primer is creamy and has rich coverage. I find that with this eye primer, the eyeshadows seems to hold up and blend even better. I honesty don’t usually apply eye primer for my lids but with this cute little tube Lorac behind the scenes eye primer, I got to try it, right! Which I did! (giggle!!!)

light shades dark shades

The color swatches on these shadows doesn’t seems to appear very vibrant especially the light shades of white/cream/taupe/lt pink/ mauve on the top section and nude/champagne and lt bronze were pretty pale. The white/cream and pink looked very similar in pinkish tone while the nude/champage/taupe and mauve have quite the same similarity as well in terms of the peachy tones.

I really love the gold/pewter/garnet/deep purple and slate in the darker shades of shimmer and sable/expresso and black in matte finish.

palette colors colors of Lorac pro

They were all beautiful colors and I really love the rich pigments of these formula. As the weather turns colder, my makeup choice seems to be leaning towards to a little bit of shimmery and glittery shadow palettes. Probably also because of the holiday seasons but for now I’ll be wearing more shimmer makeup look.

closed up shadow look finish lorac pro eyelook

For the price of $42.00 a palette for a high end eyeshadow, I believe it is reasonably price. It has beautiful 16 color shadows and they are all wearable. The light shades can be wore for daytime and the more shimmer ones for a night out. The quality of this product is amazing and it’s very easy to carry since it’s very light and a nice size mirror for me to check my beautiful eyes when needed.

The eyeshadow look – I used the sample Lorac Pro eye primer which was included in the packaging. The color shades I used for this look were the Garnet for the lids, Deed Purple for the crease and Lt Bronze as highlighter. Finished it with my Prestige waterproof eyeliner in Granite. I didn’t wear the mascara yet for this look because I wanted to focus on the eyeshadows more. Lovely, isn’t it!!!

Which color shades do you like best from this shadow palette?

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Bourjois Illuminating Touch 96 Rose Universal – Review

Hey Guys!

For those of you who are a regular readers know that I love Bourjois’s makeup line and for those who aren’t now you do! I have been slowly putting up one piece at a time of the puzzle everytime I picked up a bourjois makeup. well, it’s a long way to go but I’m adarmant to finish my puzzle one day.
bourjois blush touch bourjois blush inside
I picked this lovely round pot of Bourjois illuminating touch powder blush in 96 Rose Universal which is in coral shade. Pretty packaging ith a mirror and a semi-circle brush that fits in the pot. Net wt: 0.05 oz
bourjois color swatch
I did a swatch on my fingers and see how richly pigmented this formula runs. It’s smooth and soft. The offside of this blush is that it’s very shimmery and feels like too much of glitering happening on my face as I applied it on. It does says blush but obviously it is more of a highlighter by the texture of it’s light and sheer finish. I put them to my cheekbones and then added a touch on my browbone as a highlighter and it does work beautifully except with too much shimmer for me.
tested on hand
Oooo! It’s so blendable and look at the shimmer that it gives. I’m not quite a shimmer person but I might use it with my matte finish blusher. I think this illuminating touch blush is good to be worn for evening out or for going to a party.

Anyhow, I like it if it wasn’t as shimmery but on the contrary I’ll have to say I’m just liking it averagely. I’m sure this illuminator will lift up a dull skin to a radiant and fresher feel. But it just didn’t work so much for me personally and for those who loves shimmer highlighter, then this product will be perfect for you.

So, that’s it for my 2 cents opnion and hope to see you guys again tomorrow for another new blog.

Which is your favorite highlighter brand?

Till then, thank you for taking the time to read.

Sharon xoxo.

Visible Lift Smooth Absolute by L’oreal

Happy Saturday friends!

Today, I really wanted to talk about foundations. I have been trying many different foundations and some had successfully becomes my favorites. I picked this L’oreal lift smooth foundation because it was on discounted price and I really like the nice packaging.

l'oreal visible lift smooth absolutel'oreal visible lift

It has a silky brush attached to the bottle and dispense the formula while twisting the base. The brush makes it quite handy to bring anywhere but the cons is that it’s difficult to clean the brush after used. Meaning after a few uses it might becomes gunked-up brush that gives streaky application the next time.

foundation brush 170 natural beige

The liquid formula will ooze out from the brush after a few twisting and turning on the base. Then I just apply it directly onto my skin and blended it with the brush. This formula goes evenly. It gives a nice dewy finish that’s soft, luminous but not shinny. It’s good for all skin type except oily skin. My skin does feels light and the finishing was incredible. Love this product.

This foundation has a medium coverag but yet what’s impressive is that it’s feels so skin-like. The good news is that it can be built up to full coverage without looking cakey and depending on how much to apply. It so lightweight and seems like not wearing any foundation at all.

There were eight impressive shades from fair to medium to pick. It has a long lasting wear for hours without it turning orange and there’s not sign of fading when wearing this foundation. It’s selling for $15.95 online.

I would recommend it to anyone who loves the feeling of skin-like foundation on their skin. I have tried many different foundations and I really love this one.

Have you tried any drugstore foundations which pleasing to you?

Thank you for reading.

Sharon xoxo

Okay, I have these 5 products which I have used and squeezed every single drop of them. That’s right! All my empties!

clinique empty

Clinique Happy (50 ml)

I love perfume and a big fan of any high end brands. This Clinique Happy has served me for a long time and it just sad that it’s finally time to let it go. It was one of my favorite perfume. The perfume smells of citrus and consists of a wealth of flowers which makes me happy. Lately, I discovered a scents which I truly loved. It’s the Tom Ford Velvet Orchid. OMG!! it’s so unbelievably my scents of fragrance. I’ll have to put this in my Wish list for sure. Yipeee!

Repurchased: Yes, for sure!

Estee Lauder Time Zone – Line and wrinkle Reducing Cream SPF15 (net wt: 50 ml)

I have been wearing this creme for the last 2 years every night after cleansing my face. I emptied it a year ago but I still kept the jar hidden in the closet. Embarrased to admit, I love cute and expensive packaging. This creme is more for dry skin and I’m a perfect candidate for it. Yay!!! The price is more than the No. 7 night creme I picked up a few months ago but the result of this Time Zone is incredibly awesome.

Repurchased: Absolutely

lancome empty

Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital Night Creme (net wt: 15 g)

I got this Lancome moisturizer in a gift set last Christmas. I really love this product. It smells so lovely and it mositurizing my skin very well. My skin feels smooth, soft and radiant every morning. Moisturizing is a staple for my daily skin care routine. This moisturizer night creme has vitamins, minerals and fatty acids which are essential for skin’s well-being. I got this in a small jar but will be on a look up for the regular size 50 ml once Lancome has it’s special discount.

Repurchased: It’s a Yes!

The Body Shop Pure Detox Refreshing Body Gel (net wt: 200 ml)

Body gel and body wash have somehow replaced the traditional soap bars in my opinion. We see lots of body wash almost everywhere on the toiletry aile with a heep of brands competiting each other. Anyways, there are some good brands which I enjoy using for example this Pure Detox. It has a lovely scents of eucalyptus and menthol which are quite refreshing. Just massage on the body and my body really feels rejunevated. It’s nice and comforting to come out of a bath or shower feeling clean and fresh.

Repurchased: Totally will

dove empty

Dove Visiblecare Toning with Vit E (net wt: 300 ml)

Well, this body was purchased by my husband and I sort of used it since I ran out some of my favorite body wash. I found this to be too liquidy nevertheles it does smells soapy like most of the Dove’s toiletry products. It says to visibly enhances skin in one week. Well, I personally don’t see much different on my skin in terms of getting toned by using this body wash. For me, it’s just more like a normal body wash from a drugstore.

Repurchased: Unlikely

Phew! That was basically some of my empties for October eventhough there were some skincare products which I have emptied awhile ago. I just combined them up for my first time empties blog. I’ll have my next month’s “empties on”ce things started rolling. I’m sure skincare products usually ended up getting more attention to be in my “monthly empties blog” since makeup products I have a lot and it will take me forever to empty a particular makeup. Oops! But rest assured, I’ll share it in my blog when I have the chance 🙂

Which of the skincare products that you have emptied this month?

Thanks so much for reading!

OPI Nail Lacquer Nagellack in NL908 Front Lawn / OPI Nail Lacquer Nagellack in NLT34 Uh-oh, Roll Down the window – why am I choosing a bright color shade of greens? Hmm… well, for one thing is that I love green.  From green sweater to green macha tea and same goes for nail polishes. So, I can’t turned away from these two evergreen colors. The darker shade of Uh-oh, reminds me of autumn and therefore it’s more like a treat for me. Review coming soon!
nyx lip cream vichy retinol sample
NYX Extreme Lip Cream in 05 Bonfire – first of all, I have to admit that this is the first time I picked up a lip cream from NYX. I’m at awe at this 2 in 1 combo, with lipstick and lip gloss combined. Added with this insanely pigmentation all in one. Oh my gosh! How awesome can it get? That’s a bonus point for this awesome lip cream. Love the sweet candy scents. The color choices are a little bit limited compared to the Extra Creamy lipstick. It has 11 shades in all. The price is reasonably priced and it’s great value for money.
Vichy Liftactiv Retinol HA Concentrate – well I got this as a freebie after purchasing some makeup products from my local drugstore. It’s a new generation wrinkle filler treatmentas stated at the back of the packaging. To be used daily in the morning on clean face and neck. One thing for sure is that the formula smell nice.
l'oreal glossy balm
L’oreal Glossy Balm in 250 Baby Berry – lovely color berry to keep chap lips away. The truth is that I was not really a lip gloss person but I have been recently since after trying the Smashbox Santigolden Hot Lava lip gloss, I’m hooked to lip gloss and lip balm. So, I have been picking up quite a bit of lip balms for the past few weeks where you will see in my other blogs. This l’oreal glossy balm looks very similar to Revlon Colorstay lip balm stains in crayon style packaging. I will be trying this out for review. It claims to have long lasting wear and gives a high dose of pigmented shine, smooth and conditioning to keep lips soft.
revlon neon nail art
Revlon Nail Art Neon in 12 Neon Light – oh wow! this is a nail polish that I must have. It has 10 bright funky shades. It’s like the starburst or skittles candy which is so yummy. So, that’s how I felt when I pick this up. I haven’t try this yet and so, I’ll post it on my next blog where I’ll do a mini home-manicure.
nyx lipstick
NYX Extra Creamy Round  Lipstick in 536 EROS – bright coral red creamy lipstick. On the website it says that this lipstick is mineral-based emollient formula offers a beautiful velvety texture and it resists wear and smudging. It’s a go-to lipstick. They have a jaw-dropping color shade selections which will fit anyone’s color taste. I personally love the consistency of this creamy and velvety finish. It glides wonderfully and love the bright color of red. I’m sure by now, many of you know that I’m a real big fan of red lipsticks. So, NYX lipsticks are one of my favorite drugstore brand.

That’s it for this week’s beauty haul and I know that I will have a long backlogged of reviews, I’m trying to get done as much as I can. So, I’ll have a new post up tomorrow 🙂

What is your favorite color nail polish from OPI?

For now, will chat with you later, lovelies !

Thanks for reading.
