100% More Volume Mascara

Hi guys, I got this wonderful Covergirl Lashblast Volume mascara from Target and I’m super excited to share what I’m going to review in this post.

covergirl lashblast mascara v covergirl mascara waterproof

Reason why I’m super excited was when I saw this mascara wand and it makes me want to pick it up. The packaging is nice where the wand is packed separatedly. I like the idea that the brush is visible. It’s selling for $6.99 at Target during their weekly flyer promotion. Sorry, I’m using the flyers from Target as the background.

Wonderful wand with soft like bristles.

I picked up this one in 825 Very Black (0.44 fl oz). It says here that “lashblast’s volume-boosting formula and brush are designed to leave you with a big, bold lash look”.

applying covergirl mascara lashline mascara

Enjoying and impressed with the wand applicator.. yeah!!!!

I tried it on and wow!! I love the wand that works so well and all I did was dip it half way and apply them on my lashline. There is no flaking and it has very minimal clumps. Mascara formula dries up instantly upon application on lashes.

The Covergirl lashblast mascara really impresses me. For a drugstore brand and price point, there is no dislike for this lashblast mascara. In fact, it’s just the opposite.

mascara instant volumeside view mascara

Looking Up view and Side view

See, my lashes looked more defined and has more volume in terms of thicker look. I did only one coat and it works wonder already and I love the effect of it. On top of that, it’s waterproof, so it can be worn all day without worrying about any smudges.

This Very Black color mascara makes eyelashes looking very natural. Will I recommend this, the answer is yes. Covergirl also has them in Brown , Black Brown and Black shades to choose from.

What color lashbast volume mascara you have or are your favorite? Comment below and please share you experience if you have tried it.

As usual, thank you for reading.

The Essential Skincare Routine!

Happy Saturday, friends! It’s time for my skincare routine and I like to share them with you. Ta-da! These are some of my essential skincare that I used on a regular basis while the others on waiting list.

body wash and skincare body wash and skin care

First of all, let me share with you some of the skin care and facial wash that I used and have started using recently for my review on my last week’s post. So, I’m going to start by doing my favorite Aveeno  skin care products.

aveeno cleanser aveeno daily moisturizing lotion

On the bottle it says, “Aveeno Ultra Calming Foaming Cleanser formulated with naturally calming Feverfew that gently cleanses and softens dry, sensitive skin. And it’s fragrant free.” It came in regular size bottle of 177 ml.

While on this big bottle, it says “Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with natural colloidal oatmeal which clinically proven to relieve dry skin and moisturizes for 24 hours”. Bottle size is bigger, it’s a 532 ml bottle. This lotion is dermatologist recommended.

Aveeno is a new brand name for me. I started using them like a year ago. I usually use Dove or St Ives. But then I switched to Aveeno and I’m happy with the products so far. Nevertheless,  I’m always on the hunt for different types of facial cleansers from high streets to high end brands.

I have been using both of these products regulary and it keeps my dry skin moisturized both body and face.

balea scrub exfoliant dove energy glow facial cleanser

Balea scrub exfoliant is a new brand for me. I haven’t heard it before. Sorry for my ignorant. Anyways, while I was window shopping I came across this exfoliant which was on sale and so I sort of bought it on a whimp. I simply like the packaging. I had it a few months ago and I like the tiny exfoliating beads when scrubbed on my face. It has I believe apricot and walnuty scents. I like the smell now after awhile. It was strong for me at first but it’s about getting used to it. The exfoliant cream is brownish in color. It does what an exfoliating scrub should do. My face looks cleaner and all the dull skins varnished. Yay!!! Oh yes, it’s recommended to use once or twice a week only.

Dove Energy Glow foaming facial cleanser for normal to dry skin in 150 ml tube. This cleanser contains both ultra-fine exfoliants with 1/4 moisturizing cream. It’s like a 2 in 1 instant coffee type of function. It gives skin glow and look great. I have used this in the past and it’s almost finishing as you can see from the state of the tube. It’s going to be empties blog soon.

Koa biore facial wash tonymoly facial wash

You must have seen these Kao Biore and TonyMoly facial wash in my previous blog. It’s in my last Sunday’s post. These two are my most recent buys of facial wash todate.

Lancome royal body lotion

Last but not least is the Lancome Nutrix Royal Body intense lipid repair cream for very dry skin in 2.0 oz. I got it in a gift set given to me last Christmas.

Oh my goodness!! Lancome’s lotion is amazing. I really love it’s awesome scents and most importantly is I felt the softness of my skin immediately when I applied it on. I love the cushion-soft feelings on my hand and it’s lightweight. The cream absorbs very quickly preventing moisture escaping (chuckle!). I will repurchase it again. It’s one of my favorite.

I hope you like reading this post as much as I like showing my skincare products with all of you 🙂

What is your beauty regimen? Please share on the comment below.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read.

The Body Shop ~Beauty Haul!

It’s Friday!!!

Happy Friday friends. Guess what I am going to share with you today after my last Friday’s haul on NYX makeup. I’m always happy to do my haul and you are all an encouragement to me. Thank you.

When the Body shop have one of their sale of Buy 3, Get 2 Free, it takes quite a lot of willpower to resist it. To be honest, I’m quite a big fan of Body Shop on bath & body, skin care and makeup products. So, with sales like that, it’s going to take a tranquilizer to put me down (ha!ha!ha!).

So, here are some of the haul which I spent about $70.00 in the store. I got them several weeks ago. It’s just sitting there and waiting for my review. It’s strange how I didn’t do my haul on these earlier. I’m always excited to share newer hauls and so once I forgot then it will be sitting there until today. But don’t worry, the sales are still on their website.

The Body SHop Beauty Haul

The sales includes all bath & body, skin care, makeup, hair etc…  I will definitely be reviewing the majority of the items I’ve bought in due course, after I have been able to thorougly try them out.

Color Crush Shine Lipsticks in 201 and 130

I love lipsticks and I told myself that I’m just going to get one but ended up getting three in total. I paid $12.75 for each.

The Body Shop website says that it’s an irresistible lipstick that gives a sheer wash of colour with a sorbet-fresh shine. Each moisture-rich lipstick is infused with a delicate rose fragrance. I can’t agree more. I always prefer to go for matte and creamy finish but since it’s sooo irresistable I got them in sheer finish. What am I thinking? Hmmm…. probably impulse buying! But the colors are nice. Perfect to wear them for doing shopping errands.

Body Shop Sliver bullet Body Shop lipstick

The Body Shop Lipstick in 07.

The trouble I have with body shop’s lipstick is that there is no color name description on their packaging or even on their website. They only use color code on its packaging label. I find it hard to distinguish which red and the other darker without having a color name to link. But I guess that’s just me. Overall, body shop’s products are  really amazing and I have been using their bath & body products for decades. I have confident in their products and that’s part of the reason why I branched out to their makeup section to try them out.

Body Shop Vit e moisturizermoisture cream body shop

Vitamin E Moisture Cream for All Skin Types on Daily protection and moisturization (1.7 oz)  $18.00

I need moisturizer for my dry skin and I picked this up for cloudy or rainy day’s wear. It doesn’t have SPF but I plan to wear it when the sun is hiding behind the clouds. It says to provide daily moisturize and hydrate skins leaving it feeling smooth and soft. I tried it in the store and I can feel the cold, soothing and soft cream on my skin. It has a lovely smell too. Can’t resist so this goes in my shopping basket.

body shop camolie makeup reomver makeup remover cream

Camomile Sumptous Cleansing Butter (net wt: 2.7 oz)

This is the product that caught my eyes. I have my usual Estee Lauder eyemakeup remover but this one looks unique. I like the tin can packaging. It’s a simple design but light in weight. It does have a gentle soothing smell which I really like. The salesperson tried it on my hand and it feels buttery and it does removed the lipstick swatches I made earlier while at the store. I have’nt had any butter type of makeup remover before and this one  impresses me.

Tea tree flawless bb cream

Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream in 03 Dark color shade (net wt: 1.3 fl oz)

Well,  I mentioned earlier that I bought these items several weeks ago when I still got my tan. So, the dark shade in 03 fit my skin tone but now as the weather gets colder I need a lighter shade of Medium. There isn’t much of color shades selection to choose from. It’s either Light, Medium or Dark. I might just get another medium for autumn till winter.

Tea tree always comes up with incredibly wonderful tea scents on body wash, lotions, tea tree oil to name a few which for me is quite rejunevating and therapeutical.

Since the promotion is still on and the weather is getting colder, I don’t mind getting a lighter color of Tea Tree BB cream now.

Products are never tested on animals, and all their products are 100% vegetarian.

So, there you have it. That’s all that I bought from the Body Shop on this week’s beauty haul.

If you bought anything from the 3 for 2 promotion, I’d love to know what you bought?

As always. thank you for reading.

Best 5 Fall Color Lippies

Hi beauty junkies, standing proudly is my 5 favorite fall color lippies. Yay!!! shopping at Target again to get three more lipsticks in a darker shades for fall and also to wear it for halloween.

5 fall color lippies

Normally, I have hard time looking for a dark color lipsticks for fall that will look nice on me. Fortunately, this time round, I seems to be able to find a few which I really like. Is it because I got more brave to try darker colors or maybe there were more color selections available that works for me. Either way, I’m happy to get a few.

fall dark color lipstickstop 5 fall color swatch lippies

These are my Best 5 fall color lippies, from left to right: (not in particular order)

NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colors in 511 CHAOS

Revlon Super Matte Lustrous Lipstick in 646 Sultry Sable

Maybelline Color Sensational  in 160 Fifth Ave Fuchsia

L’oreal Color Rich Serum in 503 Bright Burgundy

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 11

I also make the color swatches and see how pigmented and mositurized these beauties. I always love red color lippies but these darker shades really is something else. Let me see how I like it!

nyx lippy

NYX in 311 CHAOS. I love NYX lippies especially with their huge selections of fun colors to choose from. Is the selections jaw-dropping? You bet! This is my second NYX lippies and I’m definitely going for more. Got to get them all! (Pokemon song). I fell in love with its rich pigmentation. Amazingly velvety and creamy texture. Love the color-payoff. It’s soft and glides so smoothly. Ohhhh!!! So incredibly awesome color.

revlon lipstick

Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks are my best friend. I love love, love it. I have many collections of Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks and got hooked by its’ dark plum shade. The color is intensely beautiful. I love the pigmentation and the long wear effect. It’s soft and creamy. So, be dazzled with its dazzling array of fabulous shades. I can’t stop to wanting more colors to be added to my collections.

maybelline lippies

This is my first encounter with Maybelline lipstick. I was amazed by the color shades options. I have another jaw-dropping moment seeing so many shades to choose and when I checked on their website they have but 62 shades, that’s insane! Or well my first purchase. I love other Maybelline makeup products and I always wanted to get the lipsticks. So, now I’m a proud owner of Fifth Ave Fuchsia lippy. Yay!!! The creamy formula is amazing and so is the smell of this lipstick. I wanted to pick a darker color but this one is irresistable. So, instead I got this and have been wearing it the whole day. Will I be hooked with Maybelline’s lippies? Time will tell.

l'oreal lippes

L’oreal lipstick in Bright Burgundy is my next choice of fave. I had L’oreal lippies for ages but this is a new one that I’m going to give it a shot. It says it has serum in this formula. Serum! Don’t feel any different except moist and sheer finish. Is it just me or do I always happened to picked up sheer finish lipstics? Some of you may know that I love creamy and velvety lipsticks. As for sheer, I’ll get around with it. The color in the packaging does looked dark but when I did my color swatch, it looks more nude than burgundy! As for the moisture, you bet it’s moist and I felt it’s a bit tacky at first. It doesn’t have color depth though. This lippy does smells good. It’s be good to wear when the weather gets dryer.

kate moss lippies

Kate Moss lasting lipstick by Rimmel. This No 11 is a special dark red dark lipstick. After admiring myself with this lip color ont he mirro. I do conclude that this color shade look perfect on me. I like it very much especially the velvety texture. It has matte and soft finish. It has a swell fragrant smell on it. It has 10 sexy shades to select. For the price, I will go for more especially with such great value and quality. I like the No 9 too (in violet shade). Perhaps, I’ll pick it up on my next trip to Target.
What is your favorite fall color lippies? Please share and leave comment below. Love to hear from you.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Top 5 Tuesday Favorite ~ Eyeliners

Top 5 faves eyeliners

Hey beauties, I’m back again with my Top 5 Tuesday Favorite. This week, I’m going to do my 5 favorite Eyeliners. They are from drugstores, Wal-mart and Target. I picked these in pencil, gel, liquid and cream formula.

Let’s begin. I just picked them randomly and did a swatch and so they are all my faves and I used them all the time except the Essence superfine liner and Annabelle which I just got them recently. Most of the liners have been with me for awhile whereas some are more recent.

annabelle liner

1. Annabelle Retractable eyeliner in Jet Black gives great precision line. It has a sharperner at the end of the pencil. Love the rich, intense color and it’s long lasting. It claims to have 12 hours wear and waterproof. I got this for $9.99 at Target. Available in 6 different shades.

prestige liner waterproof

2. Prestige Waterproof eyeliner in 07 on Granite. It’s dark greyish just the color that I like. I need to have different color eyeliner for different eye looks. So, this one works like a charm. It has creamy texture and glides beautifully. There’s some shine in this liner though. Long lasting since it’s 100% waterproof. Great for those with oily eye lids. It came with 8 selection of color shades to choose from. I remembered paying $2.99 when it was on special at a local drugstore.

bonnebell liner

3. Up next is my Bonnebell eye definer in Black Denim. This is my go-to liner everyday wear. I love how velvety it was on application and it’s opaque. It can be sharperned and it doesn’t drag or tug. It has 5 amazing colors to pick. I had this one for a long time and I can’t remember where I got it from. Sorry! But they have a website which I’ll link it below.

essence superfine liner

4. My new Essence Superfine eyeliner pen 01 in Deep Black. I like the ultra long felt tip, which delivers a pretty nice black line. I like using it to do a dramatic look like cat eyes or Arabian makeup look. By drawing a few lines on the lids, the color will not fade as fast. I would not recommend this for those who has especially oily lids. It not waterproof so it comes off quite fast. But for the price of $2.99, I think it’s still a good steal.

maybelline gel liner

5. Oh yes! My last but not least favorite. Maybelline Eyestudio gel liner in Charcoal is an absolute product to have for eye makeup. It quite pigmented and I like the brush to define thin lines or dramatic looks. I used it when I’m doing winged eyeliner look. It’s easy to control and will not smudge. There were 4 different lasting color choice to pick.

Top 6 Tuesday beauty makeup!

makeup look autumn

I’m back to do my Top 6 Tuesday beauty makeup. This morning I feel motivated to do a few makeup reviews. Some you have read them before in my previous blogs but there are a few which I have tried recently and I’m going to share my thoughts with all of you.

I started my morning routine, washing my face with Aveeno Ultra-Calming foaming cleanser. Next. I will apply my ever favorite Lancome moisturizer with SPF30 and apply my favorite Dream matte mousse foundation by Maybelline on and then I’m ready for my next step of finishing the makeup.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAapply bourjois concearler

I haven’t do a review on some of these products and so I’m excited to do it today. First is the Bourjois Brush Concealer. It says to apply over dark circles and eyelids for a radiant look. You see, I have dark circles under my eyes and also puffy eyes. I applied this wonderful magic concealer and the dark circles seems to have been oncealed by this amazing concealer. It’s light and the texture is not too thick. I love this concealer and have been using it everytime I need to look fresh and radiant. The pen-style packaging with its ‘turn and click’ mechanism provides the perfect amount of product every time making application a breeze. Oh yes, I picked this when it’s on discount for $8.99 at Winners retail store.

revlonphotoready compact powder   OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Next is this Revlon PhotoReady powder. I got mine in 030 Medium/Deep for $15.99 at a drugstore. I chose the darkest color shades actually and it looked medium to me when I wear it. Very slim choice of shades. They have light, medium and deep. In general, it lacks options for light and dark skin tone.

This pressed powder is not as mattifying for me. I like the radiant  and natural glow on my skin and it doesn’t show much of fine lines. It has only SPF14  which is low in term of protecting skin from the entire range of UVA. It would be good if the SPF is higher for better skin protection.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  applying the Nude eyeshadow from Maybelline

Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow. I got it for $14.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart when it was first released(Canadian drugstore chain). But the price of this Nudes eyeshadow palette differs from different drugstores. I saw some selling for less than $12.00 and around $15.00 depending on where you are. I love the neutral shades on this palette and the formula is quite satisfactory. There are six matte and six shimmer colors in this palette. There are also guide on how to apply the eyeshadows on the back of the packaging. I can play with many different colors options from this palette and I’m doing the brown color look for autumn. It blended very well and has good pigmentation especially the matte ones. I did a review on this eyeshadow awhile ago in my previous blog.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Rimmel Volume Accelerator mascara with volume boosting complex. This one is in 003 Extreme Black (net weight 0.23 fl oz). It has fairly long wand and this mascara is huge. A note of caution is not to start too far on the lashes because I did accidently rubbed into my eyes once. This mascara doesn’t curled my lashes but it definitely put some volume on my eyelashes.

revlon blush

Next is Revlon blush, I did a review in my previous blog together with the Top 5 blushes earlier. So, please go back to my previous blog if you like to read more about it.

Revlon colorburst

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 250 Standout Remarquable (Net wt: 0.095 oz). Yes, I love, love the color and the texture of this matte balm. It glides so smoothly and has perfect pigmentation. Available in 10 collectible shades. I love the creamy matte finish look. It’s easy to bring anywhere I go. With this, I don’t need my lip gloss since my lips does feel moist already. Overall, I love it.

So that’s about it, my Top 6 Tuesday beauty makeup and I hope you find them interesting and helpful.

What is your favorite makeup? Please share on the comment below.

Thanks for reading.

Hi friends! Today, I would like to talk about my Top 5 FAVORITE BLUSHES which I picked up from the drugstores.cI love blushes since it make a pale face looking fresh and bright. It really make a dull day seems happier. It works for me everytime when I feel down these beauties knows how to cheer my face up.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush is also one of my favorite blush of all time. I had this for a while already and finally I got the chance to show case it as my Top 5. Yes it has those bouncy effect which I find it quite cool. This is a cream blusher that is so lightweight to powder form. It has a beautiful colour payoff and so a little goes a long way.

This little gem – Essence Kalinka blush. Believe it or not I got this for only $2.00 on liquidation sale. I simply love the cute and adorable Russian doll theme packaging that drew me to grab it. But I did find it quite pigmented and soft. It blends in quite well and it has a matte finish. Not too bad for a $2 bucks blusher.

Revlon Blush in 010 Classy Coral is a rich, quite pigmented and so wonderful soft when applying. The texture is soft and it blends pretty nicely. One thing to note is that the color of this Classy Coral which I picked has a very soft and light tone to it. So, lots of blending required for a fresh looking cheek. Good news is that the color is buildable so it works for me. There are 9 color shades available!

NYX blush is one of my everyday blusher after I started using it. It’s very pigmented, creamy texture feel eventhough it is a powder blush. Has a shimmery effect too.  It creates a really natural glow when I applied it on my apple cheek.  It glides so smoothly and I absolutely love this blusher. By the way, I got mine in copper for an autumn look. Available in 24 gorgeous and radiant colors!

Last but not least is my E.L.F. blusher. It has a silky finish which blends pretty well on my skin. The formula is silky to touch. It has a tiny, subtle amount of shimmer to it which gives off a natural looking glow. Average pigments and good value for money. I got mine at Target.

What is your favorite blusher from the drugstore?

Thanks for reading guys!

Pixi Mesmerizing Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey guys!

Yesterday, I put up some of my beauty haul. It was my recent purchased from Target. Frankly, I haven’t tried Pixi makeup before and I’m just thrilled to be able to pick up this pretty eyeshadow palette in Copper Peach for $12.00 (0.20 oz).

Pixi Mesmerizing Eye Shadow

Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette.

Pixi Mesmerizing Eye Shadow

On their website, it shows five different varieties of color palettes. This palette is not a limited edition since I don’t see anything on the packaging that says so.

Color swatch

Color swatch

I would say that the colors are almost nude and neutral. It’s a very pretty color and I think it is well suited for everyday wear. Some shades are smoother/softer than others, but all of the shadows commonly are very pigmented, and you only need the lightest touch of the brush for good color pay-off (especially the darker shades).

Pixi Mesmerizing shadow Pixi closed up Pixi Pixi eye makeup look closed up Pixi side view Pixi mesmerizing shadow (2)

These colors are beautiful and smooth. It’s silky and the pigmentation was perfect. There are three matte colors in the palette and three shimmery or gem-y. I also noticed that the third and fifth color seems to be pretty similar when I made the color swatch. Both colors looked like light beige to me on swatch. Color division of the packaging are clean and sleek.

I like the box packaging. It was of soft light green with gold lining.  I’m sure some of you would know that green is one of my favorite colors. These colors are great. The pigment is perfect and it stays all day. It didn’t crease has any fall out and I really like the smooth and soft texture of this eyeshadow.

At $12.00 a palette , these eyeshadow is decent in price for Target brand but a little bit pricey for high street store.

I find it to be a lovely everyday shade. Great for day and evening wear. I used three color shades from the palette for my makeup look, top with granite color eyeliner by Prestige and mascara from NYC.

What is your favorite makeup product from Pixi?

Thanks for reading.

Beauty Haul! Target mini beauty makeup haul

Target mini makeup haul

It’s that time, my beauty mini makeup haul has landed. Yes!!! I went shopping again at Target and got some beauty bits that I really want to try. I’m thrilled to share some of  my haul today with you.

So here is the little haul of what I’ve purchased!

I have wanted to try the Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral palette for a while and so I decided that it’s time for me to get it. It’s a little bit expensive for a small palette eyeshadow but I’m all in for this one. I picked up this gorgeous color Copper Peach palette in 0.20 oz and I know that I’m pretty sure going to have lots of fun playing with these colors.

pixi eyeshadow palette

I really want to talk more on each of the makeup that I just picked up. So, I will start off with this Pixi palette. So, many fun colors to play with, I’ll be busy for weeks. I would definitely give my thoughts and opinion once I have tried them including swatches etc in my next blog.

nyc new trio eyeshadow

Next up is the NYC New Trio Eyeshadow in 789 on West Vintage. Trying new colors are one of my favorite things to explore. So, I like this West vintage eyeshadow and absolutely doesn’t mind giving it a try. I got mine for less than $3.00 for 0.15oz depending on where you live. Pretty intense color palette and it came with a duo-end tiny little brush. Will have my review up soon.

Maybelline Fit Me foundation 315maybelline fit me foundation swatch

Next in line is the Maybelline Fit Me Octinoxate lotion with SPF18 . I got hold of this one in 315 on Soft Honey (1 fl oz) which was on special for $6.99. I made a color swatch and the color tone seems to pretty much complement my skin tone. Behind the bottle it does mentioned matches natural tones, blends seamlessly and let skin breathe. I’m not here to do a full blown review, don’t panic. Ha!Ha!

Finally, I also like to share with you this Cover Girl Pressed Powder in  715 on translucent medium. Compact powder is 0.32 oz for $6.99 (regular price $8.99) at Target. Last item in my haul will be the NYC Show Time Mascara in 844 on Extreme Black. This mascara has shorter brush and it’s waterproof. Yeah!!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I’m off to prepare some yummy lunch.
